Hi there is something I would like to know I see you have bigger babies in the Sims 3 than usual If this is the mod to make the babies like in the sims 2 how do you dress them.

Hiya!

Gonna answer this publicly so I can refer to this post in the future. Hope that's ok.

I'm using this ts2 baby body conversion by @danjaley at Mod the Sims with Kurasoberina's Primer baby skin that I edited a little bit (threw the images in PS and made the details a little darker. It was really washed out in my game and the darker skin was really pale) . And you can grab a whole set of clothes over -> here.

In full transparency, one of the outfits that I put Rowan in is something that I made (top with ruffles and cloth bloomers). I didn't share it because the bone assignments are really janky. I noticed this on Joke's meshes as well. You don't notice it in normal gameplay but if you go to map mode, there's an 'out of world' vertices that flickers like crazy. Drove me nuts. I was trying to build at the time and it's super annoying. Anyways, tried to fix it and couldn't is the reason I didn't share.

You've been warned! lol It's the other reason the baby stage is really short in my up coming gameplay post. I could have switched it out for @quizicalgin's version but I couldn't be bothered at the time. I like the way the ts2 baby body looks so I will stick with it. Maybe in the future... at some point...I'll fix the bone assignment issue.

Here's another not-so-secret secret. My GoS Founder's Day gift was originally going to be for toddlers AND babies. I'd forgotten how frustrating baby clothes are to make and wound up not having time to do both. I'll probably still convert at least a couple more of the meshes for BU. For today, my baby conversion of SP12OverallLong is ready to go.

I don't really like shoes on babies, so I converted the TS4BG toddler socks and resized and reshaped them for our tiniest TS2 sims.

They come in all 12 EAxis textures, 15 Standardheld patterns, and 25 Standardheld solids, with coordinated socks. All colors and patterns are set for BU Everyday. You need Chris Hatch's mod for these to work.

There's a little clipping with the older sim's hands sometimes, when they're holding the babies, but it's not too bad. There's also a weird angular part of the pantlegs that I couldn't fix. You can kinda see it in the preview.

Meet the newly moved in family of merchants, Ernest (Fortune) and Scarlett (Popularity) Emere. They are a family of merchants that travel around the world and sell exotic (but also local) goods to people everywhere they go. My simple townsfolk think they have a very peculiar style of clothing. The Emeres like showcasing the foreign goods they sell. 

Both Ernest and Scarlett earned the gold selling badge and they got to business rank 8, I believe. They were running it together, before their kids were born, but I don’t think they can keep it up, until their kids grow into children and can go onto the community lot together with them. Their market lot is also mostly an outdoor bazaar, so it wouldn’t work well in winter.

Merchants in this challenge are OP. In the rules it says you’re supposed to get them a community lot worth 50.000-100.000 [with stocked things to sell and whatever you want]. I only gave my merchants a community lot worth somewhere between 30.000 and 40.000 and they started by selling just 3 items, some Asian vases, golden dragon figurines and some folk decoration looking like a horse. They were making bank on it!

They also bought wood from the family of lumberjacks and sold it for a really small profit and I want them to buy things from other families and sell them. They will need to pay the other families when I play them and have them sell the goods they produce from their inventories. By the way, Sibyl, the pregnant widow who sold some wood to the Emeres during her round, kicked over their trashcan. She is a very mean sim, but I don’t think she should be that mad about merchants reselling stuff for a higher price. That’s what they do.

They got 2 additions to their family on Saturday, at 5 p.m. That’s the 3rd set of twins in this town, I think. I rolled 78, 81 and 25 at birth. 25 is quite low and I usually treat it as the minimum value when someone (usually mother) survives. I don’t think this merchant family should be getting any more children the natural way, for now. The twins both are both blue-eyed redheads, but knowing TS2 mechanics, they are not identical twins. I called them Adelbert and Bertha.

The Emeres ended up with 46,863$ after restocking everything on Saturday [they only restocked the Asian décor from the build mode].

9373$ – tax (merchant pay 20% tax, I rounded it down to 9350$).

2000$ –  rent.

= 11,350$ for the Royal Steward. The Royal Steward has 30,800$. This family has almost single-handedly allowed the town to get a new tavern. I think I’d rather just upgrade the previous tavern, but I’ll see.

4686$ – tithe to the priest (I rounded it down to 4650$). It’s just “church” money or money for the future monastery.

50$ – to the midwife.

The Emere family should be left with 31,488$, if I’m calculating it correctly (because merchants get 1000$ to start with). They also bought a 2nd crib for their 2nd baby and I charged them for it.

If it comes to ROS, I rolled number 19, so they got a rat (a guinea pig? I’m not sure what they are in TS2, I don’t play with the small pets a lot). Good I got some wooden CC for that, because the Maxis cage for these small pets is really plastic-looking. I don’t think there is much to say about this, but I think the panda-looking rat fits their theme quite well! And I’m sure they’ll enjoy having some pet at home, because they really don’t have land to keep animals. Neither are they gentry that could breed cats or dogs.

I forgot to calculate their tax for the treasure (they dug up some kitchen figurines worth 200$). They should pay 80$ more to the Royal Steward, but it’s not a big deal in my view, especially that they didn’t sell this thing.

Pleasant Hills v3.0 Progress

Well.. that was a lot of posts, wasn't it? In total, 16 neighbourhoods and over 40 sims spruced up in the matter of days! Whew!| This morning my computer even rebuked the amount of work I've been doing... seems that dying RAM was causing me more issues than I thought (crashes, slow downs... the usual). This is why I always have 32GB or more of RAM (one set in is always newer than the other)... so when a stick dies I'm are still left with decent RAM for things like playing sims! Anyway, I'm really keen to have this version of the save file looking & operating exactly how I want it to... so I don't have to touch it again for a very long time. I know game and mod updates may change things over time, but the bones of the save will be very solid and hopefully easy to hop in and make small updates to. I have 2 more big things I want to do before releasing: - Checking all clubs to ensure their club hangout location is correct, as I have changed out a number of community lots - Checking club outfits for clubs headed by homeless sims (2T4 sims' clubs already done) Unfortunately, doing those 2 things means there probably won't be many posts on progress until I'm totally finished. Not much to take pictures of when I'm just in and out of club cas.... The question I have is: There is some speculation that the wedding pack that's coming is going to have a new neighbourhood.... do I wait and do updates for that hood (provided there actually is one) before putting v3.0 out?? Finally, have you seen the change log so far? I'll pop it below a cut:

Sim Dump 1 - Downtown Residents - Mostly Just Missing Parents

The goodies are under the cut!

Hello all! This is my first-ish post on this blog (I posted like 4 things several years ago but abandoned the blog but now I’m back). This is a sim dump of some sims I made for my EAxis Uberhood’s Downtown! All of them have stories that tie into my Tricou family headcanon but you can now download them and use them in your neighborhoods as playables, or make them townies (or Downtownies ofc)! There’s 11 sims in total!

These sims will look different from the preview pics because I packaged them with all in-game content and have default replacement face templates that vary a lot from the fugly EAxis face templates. (I have defaults for hair and clothing and skin and eyes too but that shouldn’t be a problem.)

(unrelated side note: ALWAYS use Clean Installer to install sims 2 packs because the default installer that comes with the game is awful and much like the sims 3 launcher can ruin your game if something goes wrong, which if it can it likely will.)

You will almost certainly need a set of non-default face templates by isbrealiomcaife for most of these sims, The preview pictures for the templates don’t show up anymore but the downloads still work! I also cannot narrow it down to specific templates but I recommend you download all of them anyway, because they are wonderful! 

Update: you do not NEED the templates, I still recommend them (that is if these links even still work) but they are not necessary, the sims will look fine without them.

(I apologize for the shitty bodyshop previews that the background changes in halfway through, but I’m trying to get this post up in a reasonable amount of time). Sim 1 - Odelia Neengia

Sim 2 - Antoine Neengia

I think it’s pretty self-explanatory that I created Odelia and Antoine as parents of Rainelle Neengia who is a teen in my game, but obviously you can use them for your own purposes!

Sim 3 - Mae Ayers

Mae here was created to be the missing parent of Swan and Patrick Teens/Tricou, two of Jon Smith (Johnathan) Tricou’s illegitimate children. Again you can use her for your own purposes though! (also stay tuned for the next sim dump that will contain genetically corrected versions of all of the Tricou Downtownie Teens and a genetically corrected version of Rainelle)

Sim 4 - Jacqueline Ellington

Jackie here was created to be the missing parent of Tiave Teens/Tricou! Because who decided to let 6 parent-less teens run around the big city anyway?!

Sim 5 - Lorraine Adams

Lorraine was, you guessed it, designed to be the missing parent of Loren Teens/Tricou (no the names weren’t intentional it just turned out that way!)

Sim 6 - Anna Marinos

You’re getting good if you guessed that Anna here was created to be the missing parent of Orion Teens/Tricou!

Sim 7 - Alyssa Arrington

And I promise Alyssa here is the final missing parent sim in this dump! Alyssa was created to be the missing parent of Kestrel Teens/Tricou! (Also none of her coloring matches up to Kestrel because I am going to give Alyssa here recessive genes to match up with Kestrel)

Sim 8 - Sagan Anima

Finally another male sim! and boy is he a beautiful one if I do say so myself! He’d make a great baby daddy lmao. Anyway! He also uses the “elf” face template so he’s clearly not human! (he is a human sim but that’s because his lifestate does not exist in ts2, and even if it did it would have wings and that’s not ideal)

Sim 9 - Moira Anima

Moira here also uses the elf template as you can maybe sorta tell from her ears! She was created to be Sagan’s wife, And I’m excited to play them so I can see what their children will look like!

Sim 10 - Elysium Kingston

Elys here looks really good with piercings btw! and that’s about all there is to say about her....

Sim 11 - Kane Kingston

Kane is Elysium’s husband. They have a really cute toddler daughter in my game! Kane is the sim out of these two that is actually involved in my headcanon for the Tricou family. Elys is just an innocent third-party.

These aren’t required but if you want the full range of skintones that are on these sims I recommend you download these geneticized skins by Vidcunds I also use the default replacement version of this skin for the regular EAxis skins!

And most of the makeup pictured on these sims is by Lilith (Not all of it, just most of it, however none of it is included)

Upon playing Strangetown for the first time, not only are you greeted with Pascal as a cosmic-parent-in-waiting but you’re strongly encouraged to send eternal Middle Child Vidcund to the telescope where he’ll be blessed with his own green bundle of joy. In my game, I’d already installed a multi-PT mod... so Vid’s spawn I believe are the product of PT#7.

I promise I didn’t do this to punish him. Holmes is lucky enough to have inherited the pointy PT#7 ears and was named for a comet. He actually grew into that pink-streaked hair as a toddler, and I couldn’t let it go. He pretty much has Vid’s exact face and much like his father, looks for love in all the wrong places (but UNLIKE his father, those plentiful nice points mean Holmes is vaguely successful on the dating scene). He plans to combine his family’s love of science and his own love of food into a Molecular Gastronomy career.

Like her bro she too was named after a comet, and is at her happiest curled up on the sofa watching The Great Simlish Bake Off or in front of her own oven, baking up a storm (and cleaning up after herself at every stage even though it exhausts her). She’s not the most confident, but perhaps doing work experience at J’Adore Bakery will help her come out of her shell. She dreams of being whisked away on a romantic voyage to Champs Les Sims to eat pastries and bread and drink wine before noon... but needs to pluck up the courage to ask somebody on a date first. Once she does, the lucky sim will realize just what a catch Halley is when they get to know her – fiercely loyal and belly-achingly funny.

And with Erin and Lazlo for parents, of course we’re evolving from Vidcund’s slightly-silly-but-still-somewhat-socially-acceptable kid-naming scheme to all out ludicrousness. I legit lifted ‘Quest’ from a website called something like Hippy Baby Names. Cute as a button and a barrel of laughs to boot, much more comfortable interacting online than in person, I’m genuinely impressed that he’s relatively capable of keeping a... fairly tidy living space when his genetics held him at a massive disadvantage. Most likely destined for the Gaming or Game Development career – in the meantime he co-runs a rather popular Twitch channel with his cousin Jack. Will beat you at both Solitaire and Hearthstone.

Narrowly escaped being named Moonunit at my SO’s suggestion (who, fun fact, also came up with the name Anaïs). Just... if you let this sim into your game, you’re gonna need a maid. In sharp contrast to her cousins, ya girl is a complete slob. Maybe one day I’ll have her share an apartment with her cousin Halley, and between Halley’s 0 active points and Anaïs’ 0 neat points, we’ll see if literally anything gets done (apart from cookie-baking and clay-sculpting... girls, please don’t accidentally mix those two doughs up). Much more extroverted than her bro Quest, she’s also far more of a people person than he is. (Jeez, the majority of these Curious kids are hella nice, right?) Her natural hair color is her mother’s blonde, but I thought I’d have a bit of fun and dye it lilac for her. Fun fact: Sims 3 Erin’s favorite color is violet, Lazlo wears a violet T-shirt, you do the maths. (Let’s just ignore Vid’s love of African violets shall we.) If she had the remotest liking of physical activity she might be a surfer girl, but instead she just loves wearing shells and Salt Rock clothing. Enjoys making busts that look like that creepy Lionel Richie one in the ‘Hello’ video.

(That’s my half-hearted attempt at making it look like Jack took a selfie.) It’s always a gamble when you give PT#9 and Jenny Smith (née Curious) a genetically correct kid. Will they even have a nose? Will their cheekbones poke peoples’ eyes out? Well I truly struck gold with Jack, who has the best of both wonderful worlds. Frequently to be found in the butt-groove of a beanbag embroiled in Fortnite battles with Quest (Quest ‘5 nice points’ talks fairly gentle smack on his headset while Jack cringes and apologizes for him), he’s inherited both parents’ Family aspiration and adores being at home with the entire massive extended clan (also Jen and PT have like 5 dogs at this point). Probably the kind of kid who comes home from college to do a bit of laundry and ends up staying the whole weekend. He’s easily the most fun of the Smith kids, and his maxed out nice points mean he is truly too pure for this world. Please look after him, Johnny and Jill can only protecc him so much.

What Mods Am I using?

I just realized this could be pretty useful!

Especially since I’ve got a motherlode of good stuff direct people to. Dat Skeleton Stuff:

My skeleton tattoo - it is a tattoo is from the now gone-from-tumblr HnerySims. I love, loved their cute Sans and Papyrus sims, and that they gave the custom tattoo (which is really nice) away for free. I don’t know exactly why they’re gone, but I hope they’re doing well in whatever they’re doing now.

Also, I have no idea how they’d feel about the tattoo being shared by me, so for now I’m not planning on uploading it anywhere.

The eyes I’ve given the guys are a TS2 to TS4 conversion of RenSims’ Confutatis Eyes. Yep, this is Sims 2 custom content converted! You can grab them here.

Clothing:

Almost all of the guy stuff I’ve grabbed is from Peacemaker-IC - it’s all GREAT simple clothing, lots of modern easy-wear, and a fantastic selection of colors and straightforward patterns. 2/3rds of my male clothing downloads are from him.

Busted Pixels is another creator I’ve gotten more than a little download-happy from - both male and female clothing. They’ve got a fantastic style for making high fashion clothing that looks utterly wearable.

Nolansims is a favorite creator of mine, their stuff is just these absolutely gorgeous recolors in fantastic pallettes of existing clothes, and very simple-looking, appealing mesh edits and new clothing items I didn’t know my game was missing until I saw them.

If it’s a little eclectic, it’s probably a JolieBean download! Their retrotastic tastes fit in perfectly with my eclectic preferences, and satisfies my heavily nerdy tastes.

I do have more - Chikkadii Sims, Double Plumbob, and more, but only one or two items.

Furniture:

I cannot LIVE without at least a few sets from Peacemaker-IC in my game. The man’s build mode expansions and his taste in couches satisfies and soothes my cravings for furniture and building fashion from the ultra-victorian to the tackiest mod misadventures. 

Except he doesn’t make it tacky, I do.

The now inactive Plumbob Tea Society is another major source of furniture for my game. The styles range all over, and so much fun stuff! Especially their Stellar Stuff Pack - I use that all over the place, much to my surprise.

Gameplay:

Full House Mod by TwistedMexi from ModTheSims. Yes, having the households get larger than 8 does mean I can’t change anybody’s clothing. And runs the risk of accidentally deleting someone if I try! But it does mean my game can have oopsie babies even with a full house, and as long as I take care to split the parents & offspring into a new building

WickedWhims is my romance mod of choice. No, I’m not linking it directly. It’s far raunchier than Sims 2′s ACR, which mostly expanded using in-game romantic actions and animations. WW adds a great many MORE animations (and has an enthusiastic set of additional animation creators), and is very, very thorough in adding more functions. But it also adds in asexuality, beefs up the game’s relationships, and adds in quite a few additional functions. 

LuumiaSims is the source of my height mod, and it’s been a very solid, lovely download with only rarely making hands or feet disappear. Easily solved by changing the clothes of the sim it’s happening to in the Wardrobe.

Yeah. :) I’m actually surprised Owen made it to graduation. He didn’t have great chances of going to class/finals, according to my rules -- which is why he often ended up on probation -- but eventually his Fortune aspiration kicked in and worked in his favor. He rolled up wants to go to class because of it, and rolled wants override the manual rolls I do to decide that.

I dunno...Hyperactive volcanoes aren’t bad. They are constantly letting off steam, quite literally, so they just kind of constantly belch instead of going, “Oh, hey, I think I’ll catastrophically explode this week.” I worry about the quiet ones. Like, the last time I was in Naples/Capri and visiting Pompeii/Herculaneum, Vesuvius -- which is overdue for explosion -- was all grumbly and belching smoke. Creepy! Or there’s all those up in the Cascades here in the States that are kinda overdue to explode. And then there’s Yellowstone, which is practically underneath me. If that thing ever goes, we all gonna die. :)

To me, the scariest thing about Hawai’i is...the cost of living. Yowza. Which, now that I think about it, might have factored into the dream. Cost of living at possible destinations is definitely a factor when it comes to emigration planning. :) Hawai’i would be a terrible option in that regard even if it wasn’t part of the US. :)

When my son -- who’s now a big, bad Army Ranger who’s killed people -- was around kindergarten age, that was his favorite song, and he sang it (with all the wrong words) while doing this hysterically-amusing dance to it. Which of course I recorded to keep as blackmail material. So now it’s like, “Behave, or your unit commander -- or, worse, your unit in general -- gets a copy of this, bucko.” 

*ahem* But yes, she is totally fabulous! And Maxis fails at tuxedos.

But she’s a Family Sim! She’s supposed to love this stuff! She’s supposed to be so proud of her little precious darling using the potty! She’s supposed to be glowing with maternal contentedness that she gets to stand there and watch her kid poop! 

...OK, OK, so in game-reality Family Sims are THE WORST at actually raising and interacting with their kids as opposed to just making/birthing them. (I’m tellin’ ya: Pleasure Sims are THE BEST parents...and Owen has a Pleasure secondary.) But, you know, they’re supposed to like this stuff. Ideally. Or at least theoretically.

I’m very similar to this. I get super attached to my sims, but I still don’t coddle them. I do allow them to plead to the reaper otherwise I’d lose a lot more sims and I only have a small population. I just get very sad when my sims die, have a break from playing, them get over it. I always have the clones of them to play with anyway

I imagine it’s hard when Sims to whom you’re attached die. I mean, there are players who avoid it entirely, never allowing Sims to age past adult (or to age at all) and who use mods to make things non-deadly because they’re so attached. I confess that I don’t understand the mindset, myself, especially because you can make clones of them or resurrect them at will or whatever, but it does exist and is valid and all that. 

But yeah, if you have or allow only a playable population, you don’t really need population control. :) I’m more of a “let ‘em breed freely, then cull the herd when necessary” sort of player, though.

I like this. I also use the Realistic Sickness mod but I DO get attached to my pixel people and find myself coddling the hell out of them the second they even start to sniffle. I need to stop doing that and just let life play out once in a while.

I can understand, intellectually, the desire to coddle. I don’t really feel it myself because I don’t “attach” to pixel people, but I understand that other people do. There are times when I’ve felt a need to coddle that have nothing to do with attachment, though. Like, if I really wanted a particular Sim to breed because of unique facial features or the recessive genes they have and stuff like that. And I think I have coddled a few of those at times, over the years. But generally, I’m of the opinion that it makes no sense to use Real Sickness if you’re going to coddle because it just makes the coddling more drawn-out and frustrating. :) Then again, I suppose I can see where you might want to coddle your faves -- or, say, those in higher classes who might have access to some sort of dubious “medicine,” in a medieval game -- and let everyone else die as they will.

YEEEEEES! :) Well, OK, kind of “no” because child ghosts are wacky in that they just teleport around instead of float because they don’t have the proper animations. (Which is dumb. I mean, they made it possible for children to die -- as opposed to the immortal babies/toddlers -- so you’d think they’d’ve given child ghosts the proper floating animations, but noooooooo!) So, I kinda wish she’d croaked after her teen age-up, but...such is my game.

Yeah, yeah, bad llama! BAD! NO PEAR 4 ME! 

(One of our llamas goes absolutely insane for pears. She adores them, has since she was weaned. If she sees that you have one, she will follow you around and stick her head over your shoulder and poke you with her muzzle and give you little hums and long-lashed puppy-dog eyes until you give it to her. Only for pears, though. Other fruit she can take or leave, but she’s a total pear whore. And you can’t even trick her with pears that are oddly-colored or oddly-shaped. Like Asian pears, which are apple-shaped. She knows the difference between an apple and an Asian pear. Llamas -- camelids in general, but especially llamas -- are kind of scary-smart that way. I wish they could tutor the super-stupid horses. Seriously, if horses hadn’t been domesticated, I don’t think they’d still exist. They’re great big idiots constantly looking for new and interesting ways to die. Deer are geniuses compared to them. Sure, they’re loyal as all hell, and very trainable, and I love them to death, but...Dumb to the core, all of them.)

This is such a gorgeous lot--and the background too!

It is one of my favorite lots that I’ve built. But it’s also kind of annoying. Since it slopes so much from road to waterline, much of the lot is pretty much unusable. Like, Sims trying to talk to another Sim just do a lot of stomping and yelling because of the slope. I kind of hate that in Sims 2 Sims can’t really interact with each other on anything other than flat ground. (They fixed this for Castaway, which is one of the things I love about that game, but not TS2. WHY??!) It’s one of the reasons why I (usually) build only on flat lots and why I’m (generally) fond of flattening beach lots from road to waterline, too. So...Yeah, that lot is very pretty to look at, but it’s pretty much only usable in the 10-tile-wide strip of flat beach. The rest just generates lots of yelling and stomping. So, it’s also kind of wasted space. :\

I suppose one could see it as doing something life-affirming in the aftermath of death. Especially when you’re sick and possibly facing death yourself. Although I gotta say that sex is not high on my to-do list when I’m sick. :) But, to each their own!

This is what happens when you don't lock 'em in their rooms. You could have sent him out by himself, you know.

I could have...but my rule for hikes is that as many people in the household as possible go on them when any household member rolls a want for one and is able to take one. So, obviously toddlers get left behind as well as someone to care for them, and if anyone’s imminently due to go to work/school they don’t go, but everyone else, including pets, goes. Even if they’re sick.

It has major routing fails and a fishing hole. Also the hydroponic garden for some reason.

Yeah, I’m afraid I’m pretty unimpressed with the hobby lots in general. :\ The only one I ever really use is the Cuisine one, and that just for food contests. I think what I’m eventually going to do, instead of fussing around to make over the hidden hobby lots, is just build all my own “hobby lots,” but just make them regular community lots and then use the Visitor Controller to limit their patronage to Sims for whom the dedicated hobby is their OTH. I think that would make them busier overall, which would be nice. They won’t have the hobby leaders...but if I wanted to, I could make them owned by the game-generated leaders, so they’d still be there...although I don’t know if they’d retain their “leader” functions, since I’d have to make them temporarily playable to buy the lots. It’ll be something to experiment with...one day. :) A large community-lot garden would be nice for Nature Sims to grow/maintain/harvest...although I suppose they’d have to stay on it for a number of days. And it’d be better if gardening was autonomous...And...

Well, anyway! it makes sense to have the hydroponic garden on the Nature lot, I suppose. I guess when the devs were building the lots, they just threw in anything that was related to (or “assigned” to, via the coding) that hobby that existed at the time.

It does that to me too! All the time! I really wish it wouldn't...

Yeah, I’ve seen people complaining about Tumblr unfollowing people as long as I’ve had a Tumblr. (Four years, geez!) Honestly, I always kind of suspected that people claimed that it did that in order to “cover up” the fact that they’d unfollowed people deliberately. But then it happened to me! And I didn’t even realize it! I just assumed those people had gone quiet for a while, as people do off and on...until I saw reblogs of posts that I didn’t recall having seen. And then I looked through the blogs I follow and, sure enough, they were no longer there. :\ I knew I didn’t do it, even by accident, because I don’t think I’ve ever unfollowed anyone, even when they announce they’re leaving... just in case they come back like, say, Trapping did. I’ll mute reblogs, sometimes, if they reblog a lot of non-Sims stuff, esp. real-world political/social things that I use Tumblr to escape from for a little while, but I’ll still want to see any original stuff they post. Otherwise I wouldn’t have followed them in the first place.

Anyway, yeah, it’s very, very annoying, and I wish that Tumblr would address whatever’s causing it. But then, Tumblr seems to like to try to control what we see, don’t they? :\ Thank God for Xkit! :D

I love the graying snouts on the dogs too. :) Older doggos are great. Cats too! Kittens are lovely, but older cats are highly underrated. Grumpy old lady cats are the best.

Yeah, I have a huge soft spot for grumpy old lady cats. My own RL grumpy old lady cat passed away rather recently. (She was almost 19 when she got really sick and I decided to have her euthanized, so she had a good long, but always kind of sickly life, probably since she was a very runty runt of the litter.) Once she got past kittenhood, she wasn’t the cuddly kind -- she appreciated being petted and scritched and she would curl up next to you of her own volition, but would never get in a lap or tolerate being picked up or held -- but she was very chatty. She’d sit near me, and we’d have long cat-sound “conversations.” I often imagined that she was bitching to me about all the annoying young ‘uns and all the damn dogs underfoot.

I kinda wish the cats/dogs in game had more varied behaviors like that, but I understand the coding limitations and all. *sigh*

The show is actually super popular, everyone I know has at least heard of it - it's been around for more than two generations, so I mean, yeah :D

Two generations? Really? I thought it was just a 90s thing. But then, I haven’t really watched TV since the early 90s, so there’s that. :) Anyway, I know the name of the show, but I know nothing about it other than that, since I never watched it. Seemed like it was aimed at a demographic that...isn’t me. :) My kids, maybe, but not me.

Goopy and Sandy's genes still going strong!

They are! Goopy’s nose seems to override Sandy’s, but Sandy’s lips and jawline seem to override Goopy’s, so it all comes out even.

Yeah, I think Sam is pretty much the most amusing Sim I’ve had in my game, ever, and he’s not even a playable. And really, I kinda hope he never becomes playable because then he’d probably become all boringly domesticated. It’s just, as an ex-llama-mascot, he’s freakin’ everywhere, and he’s apparently in a sort of eternally-adolescent hormonal overdrive. Don “Lothario” is a total amateur compared to this guy. Some folks will probably dislike him for that (and perhaps will dislike me “glorifying” or approving of his behavior or whatever), but I take this game not-seriously-at-all, and I have never had a Sim who’s made me laugh so much, sometimes in exasperation but also because he just does goofy things. I’ve had ex-llamas in my game before, but they’ve not been nearly so entertaining.

Thanks! Normally when I build and decorate I use money cheats and source inspiration images. Since I don’t do money cheats in Brightmaple (besides the loan system I came up with which is more limited), I had to think of some way to keep the decorating fun for me still, so each household got a colour palette! Theirs is orange, red and navy. But the navy is represented inside the house. :)

Thanks for the suggestions! For the time being I called it “Games World” which is better than the placeholder lot name it had before. If I think of something I love, I can always change it!

She’s the product of some custom face templates and default replacement hairs I suppose! She’s even got a cute name too, Esmee. (with an accent over the middle “e” I can’t be bothered to figure out how to type on a keyboard).

Those sims are really gorgeous! They look strangely human compared to other sims if that makes sense. Very realistic. lol

I have made a concerted effort recently to be on the lookout for good toddler/child hairstyles so I’ve got a decent selection now! But I’m always on the prowl for more. That goes double for styles that work for black Sims as I like them to have their natural hair, especially as children.

Snow is just such a pain here haha it’s all wet and mushy and no one can drive in it! Luckily so far we haven’t gotten a lot, and today it’s just raining! But I do really love Sim snow.

Awww! It is always the bathroom, isn't it? :P Totally unrelated, but their house looks *amazing*. Love the modern look.

The bathroom seems to be the preferred birthing venue! And thank you! I found a floorplan online that had that basic layout with the wrap around porch at the front, and then I think a little more poking around found me the idea for the front roofline and all the windows, as well as the trellis type things up front! It would probably be a good vacation home layout too.
