That common trope where an isekai'd villainess grows up with the ML and charms him into falling for her. But no matter how hard he tries to make her do the same, she's dense, holds him at a distance, andconsistently and awkwardly brings up him falling for someone else in the future. No matter what he does, she never acknowledges his feelings for her are real. So when the real FL comes, he decides to be with her. The MC finally realizing her true feelings, can't help but feel heartbroken and betrayed by it all, avoiding the ML. But he won't let her.

With a lovely smile, he caresses her face, "No matter how much I tried to prove my love to you over the years, you refused to accept it. You treated me as if it was inevitable that I would change my mind and leave you for another. So, as my final act of love, I made your dream come true."

He then leans down and kisses her cheek.

"Now keep watch over me as you have my entire life. I want you to enjoy the fruits of your labor."

things in DC canon i’ll literally never get over

1. dick finds out batman replaced him as robin (without asking him) from the NEWSPAPER and simultaneously finds out bruce adopted a new kid without telling him (to make things worse: bruce didn’t even adopt dick)

2. dick finds out jason died from the newspaper (AGAIN? REALLY BRUCE?) and bruce had the fucking funeral WITHOUT HIM while he was still in space

And then after Thursday he switched and rarely slipped up. It's been like 9 years. Also makes jokes that the reason he's nice to me is bc he really likes the middle name i chose.

Ghost has a massive soft spot when it comes to kids and really only kids. He feels for them, and it bothers him to no end if he sees a kid being treated unfairly in any way.

Soap assumes that Ghost wouldn't really like kids, or at the very least by uncomfortable or uncertain with them being around, but he's FLOORED by the smack in the face of how wrong he was.

He brings Ghost around to meet his family for one reason or another (fake-dating, """just as friends""", officially dating, whatever floats your boat for the meeting The family trope LMAO), and his whole family is there. He's partially expecting Ghost to bail at the first opportunity that shows itself, and he doesn't blame him seeing all the chaos. Instead, he sees ghost begin interacting with his neices and nephews as soon as all the greetings have been gotten over with, and from what he can tell they all love ghost already.

Soap's sister walks right up beside her dumbfounded brother and gives him a nudge, saying something along the lines of "you just lost your status as the favorite uncle." Soap of course curses her out and shoo's her away, but he isn't really bothered at all by the idea of that. Not when Simon looks so happy telling stories and giving life advice to the kiddos, their faces sparkling with wonder.

When the gathering has quieted down, and people have begun returning to their own homes or wherever they were staying Soap pulls Ghost aside to have a moment with him.

"I never thought you'd be so good with kids L.T., I thought it would be the opposite really." Soap would say, and Ghost would give him a whisful expression before turning away.

"I know I don't seem it, but I was-... I am a family man at heart" Simon would admit, quiet and spoken out into the night, almost as if Soap wasn't supposed to hear the admission.

"It looks good on you Simon." Soap would state simply. "I think I ought to bring you round with my family more often, you're the kid's favorite uncle now after all."

Like in the way that you might not always get along with/like your sibling but your alliance is with them first and your parent second.

Bruce talking to Tim about Damian and saying "but don't tell your brother" and Tim IMMEDIATELY finding Damian and telling him bc it's ride or die

Or one of them doing something stupid and messing up/getting hurt but we do not tell Bruce and your sibling helps you clean it up and you take that secret to the grave

Also finding out family drama or a secret about Bruce and IMMEDIATELY sending it to the group chat
