Omg please kbd uncle Eddie:’)
dad!steve x mom!reader, 1k
“Hi, Uncle Eddie.”
Eddie rubs his hands together, holds them out in front of himself, and summons the prodigal child forward. “Bethany. Quick, give me a hug.”
Bethie walks into his waiting arms, her giggle infectious as she says, “That’s not my name.”
“Bethie,” Eddie says with a sigh. “You know my full name is Edward. Full names are nothing to be ashamed of.”
“It’s Bethie.”
She pushes the hair off of his shoulders. He smiles at her and her little hands. If someone told him ten years ago he’d be carrying Steve ‘King of Hawkins High’ Harrington’s babygirl around like a treasure he’d laugh in their face, but he loves Beth. She’s hands down his favourite Harrington, and he’s allowed to have favourites as an uncle, though the other clingers are cool too. Beth is Eddie’s favourite because she’s an underdog, and because she’s so clearly infatuated with him. They’re best friends.
He gives her a pat between the shoulders and slips down into a seat in front of the TV. There’s no signs of the other babies nor their parents; Eddie always lets himself in when he’s coming around and he doesn’t expect wait service, but a hello would be nice. “Where’s mom and dad?” he asks, setting Beth down into the seat beside him. He zeroes in on a plate of pretzels and snags a few for snacking. “You’re downstairs by yourself?”
“No! They’re in the kitchen.”
“Really? What about Ave and Dove, then?” he asks through chewing.
“Dove is napping and Ave, um, went somewhere.”
He raises his brows. “Dad took her somewhere?” He imagines Beth would tell him Avery’s run away with similar nonchalance.
“To Grandma’s. They’re going to watch a play.”
“Oh,” Eddie springs up off of the couch. “Stay here, sweetheart, I’ll just go make sure they know I’m here.”
Eddie is scared to open the door. Why is it closed? He supposed parents are deprived of one another but he doesn’t wanna see you kissing. Then again, if he does see you kissing, Steve will die of embarrassment. That’s worth it.
“Hello!” he shouts, throwing open the door.
He makes you both jump hard, Steve’s head thwacking a cabinet and your hand thrown to your chest. You almost fall on your ass where you’re kneeling by Steve’s leg. His pant leg is pushed up to the knee, and you have a tweezers in hand —Eddie frowns abruptly.
“What the hell are you doing?” he asks.
“Steve has a tick, you fiend. When did you get here?”
Steve groans. “The door was locked,” he says, rubbing the back of his head.
“Not well. Just stuck my credit card in there and wham. You guys should slide the chain in if you’re gonna leave poor Bethie all by her lonesome, don’t you think?”
“Eddie, the door was locked,” Steve says. “You’re the only weirdo in Hawkins willing to break in. Plus, I still have that baseball bat in the garage.”
“Sure. Come on, sweetheart, get off the floor. Let Eddie have a stab at it.”
You laugh and pull Steve’s pants down over his shin. “It’s fine, I already got it. He might get Lyme’s now because you scared the fuck out of me–”
“Language.”
“–but I heated it up and I think I got it.” You look up with a smile. Steve pauses his pained head rubbing to beam at you lovingly.
“I’m sure he’ll be fine. Or he’ll turn into a zombie, and that would make him cooler. Win win. So, dinner?” Eddie asks. “Should I go get something?”
“Nah, I made ravioli, you rude idiot. Where’s Beth?”
“I told her to stay put in case you were making out.”
Steve helps you up from your kneeling to dust you off. “Thanks for saving my life,” he sighs tiredly, kissing your cheek.
Eddie rolls his eyes and turns away. Steve should love and appreciate you, you’re awesome, but he’s also a loser and Eddie’s entitled to thinking such disparaging thoughts about his friend from time to time.
You and Steve made a kid as cool as Beth, so Steve can’t be too bad of a loser.
“Uncle Eddie?”
“Yes, my lovely sweetpea angel?” Eddie asks.
She stares at him, adorable in all her chubby-cheeked, sugary-eyed sweetness with her hands held up for another hug. Eddie leans down, says, “Daw, I can’t say no to you,” as she giggles into his hair. He strokes the top of her shoulder with his thumb. “So what’s happening? How did that painting go with mommy, did you put it in the contest?”
Steve nudges you forward with a hand on your shoulder. “He’d make a good dad, right?”
“For sure,” you say, “not as good as you, though.”
“Oh, you’re flirting with me, that’s cool… Are you free Friday night?”
“Probably gonna be pulling ticks off of some other guy's leg.”
“Oh, that’s fine, I was busy anyways.”
Beth giggles as Eddie tips her backward, a mixture of nerves and excitement that kids experience so much more than adults.
“I always expected him to just end up with a kid. Like, one night stand style,” Steve says.
“There’s nothing wrong with that. At least then he doesn’t get stuck marrying somebody he doesn’t love.”
Steve glares at you as you laugh, dragging you into his arms to smush kisses into your cheek. “Don’t even joke about that.”
“Sorry, honey. I hope Eddie gets as lucky as me someday.”
Beth begs to be put down through giggles. “I don’t know,” Steve says, resting his cheek on your temple to watch her laugh, “I don’t think Eddie has luck, just sheer force of will.”
“He’d totally get a baby in a basket on his doorstep.”
Steve mulls it over. “God, he totally would.”

Trailer park Steve AU part 35
part 1 | part 34 | ao3
cw: Fred slander apologies to any Freds
“Okayyy,” Robin says with a shaky laugh as she points at everyone in the booth, going around the circle and introducing them in a single breath. “Amy-Tim-Vickie-Beth-Grant-Jordan-Fred, aaand Nancy. You, um, you already know— Nancy... r-right,” she stammers at Steve’s pointed glare, “so, um. Anyway!”
She grabs him by the shoulders; shoves him front and center like he’s a really cool new toy she brought to class for show-and-tell. “Everyone, this is Steve! Steve, this is—”
“You don’t have to say it again.”
“Oh, thank god.” She slides into the booth with a relieved huff, and Steve scoots in after her.
Despite the awkward tension and that bonkers introduction, everyone at the table does their best to act cool, to say hello and make him feel welcome while they wait for the band to start. Grant slides him the basket of fries, and Jordan compliments his watch, and Vickie asks if he’s coming to the last football game of the season, voice high and shy as she rambles about how ‘Robin’s solo in the halftime show is sooo good, you really should come see it!’ and wow.
Is Robin vain or something? She’s got a crush on a clone of herself.
Steve munches on fries and keeps an eye on the stage, hoping to catch Eddie before the show starts, and the whole thing’s… not so bad, actually. Kind of decent. Almost nice, until Fred fucking Benson ruins it. Steve’s saying something about the basketball team’s chances this season when the little asshole rolls his eyes and leans in to stage-whisper to Nancy loud enough for the whole table to hear, “The Hair? Seriously? What’s he even doing here?”
...Yeah, fuck this. “He’s getting a drink,” Steve says and storms off to the bar.
He’s not getting that drink.
Turns out a tenner isn’t a big enough bribe to get a bartender to break the law, so Steve nurses a diet Coke that he pretends is a lager and refuses to even look in the direction of the booth. Fucking Fred. What an asshole.
And what a stupid name, too, like— who looks at a baby and thinks, yep, looks like a Fred to me? Ugh.
Robin, bless her, has the good sense to leave him alone for a couple minute until he cools off, but then the music starts and she comes over to shout ‘stop moping and dance with me!’ and that’s the end of that.
The band is fucking awesome.
Steve doesn't know what he expected, but it wasn't this: high energy, tight rhythms, a driving beat that makes him want to dance. The bass reverberates through the floor, up his shins and through his chest, and for a second it almost feels like he has his hearing back, like his whole body is a wall of noise, filled with the wail of Eddie’s guitar, the scratchy rasp of his singing voice, and Eddie's…
Eddie’s amazing. Lightning in a bottle as he bounces around the stage, hips moving to the rhythm, fingers blurring over the frets. He looks so fucking hot. Denim vest, silver rings, jeans showing a delicious amount of skin — skin Steve has put his mouth on; tattoos he’s tasted with his tongue.
God, he can’t wait to kiss him. Is probably going to combust if it doesn’t happen tonight. Or like, come in his jeans, more realistically.
They dance and jump and shout along to the covers they recognize, and when Eddie dips backstage to let the band do an instrumental thing, Steve shakes the sweat out of his eyes and heads to the bar for a water.
"Mind if I join you?" Nancy asks.
Steve sighs. This is what he gets for wandering off alone. Robin's still by the stage, twirling Vickie around swing-style to a frantic, jazzy drum solo in a move that's actually pretty impressive even if it makes no sense with the music, and Steve resigns himself to his fate and nods at the empty stool beside him.
They sip their drinks in silence — awkward and charged, old hurts hanging between them like static waiting to strike. "Sorry about Fred," she says eventually. "And- and for me, too, I guess."
Steve huffs a laugh. Appreciates the sentiment, even if it doesn't change anything. "It's fine."
She glances over at him, that journalistic focus etched into her face. “How are you?” she asks softly.
Another laugh under his breath. He thinks about answering her honestly, just to entertain himself. Pictures the way her face would fall as he went on and on: "Oh, you know. My mom left me to go ‘rest' in Evanston, like I don’t know that means she went to rehab without saying a goddamn word, and when I called my aunt to yell at her about it, she said some ice cold shit about how I should be happy my mom left me, because now I can keep the money from the lot fees all to myself, and I said ‘what lot fees?’ and it turns out mom had been hiding, like, a lot of money from me while I stressed out about our budget for months. Oh! And also my dad’s dead, but you knew that already. And also I want to hump my neighbor against a brick wall so bad my dick is turning purple. How are you?"
"...Steve?" she tries after a moment.
“I’m good,” he settles on. Gives the bullshit answer because that's all they've ever been to each other, isn't it? Bullshit. "Yeah, I'm good," he tells her, "and you?"
"I'm fine." Her smile is tight, bags under her tired eyes, and then she sighs out long and slow, "Actually, I'm not. Everything's been..."
Steve tries to listen, but he just can't bring himself to care. Doesn't want to hear about whatever drama she's going through with the guy she dumped him for. And then Eddie comes back out on stage, and he's looking out into the crowd, and no fucking way is Steve letting him look over here and think he's cozied up with Nance. No fucking way. Nancy's ruined enough good things for him already.
"Sorry," he cuts her off, not feeling sorry at all as he stands up and walks off without looking back at her.
"Steve?" She calls after him. "Hey- wait!"
Steve makes his way to the front of the crowd.
“Howdy,” Eddie greets the room, stepping up to the mic with a Hollywood-worthy grin. His guitar’s strapped over his back, the neck pointing to the ground, and he looks so good up there. So comfortable and real.
And his outfit's different now. The denim vest is gone, and he's wearing a cut off tank top. The tank top; the one he wore that night, loose around the arms to expose his pretty, painted ribs. Steve looks up at him, transfixed. Like staring straight at the sun.
“How’s everybody doing?”
The group at the stage all whoop and cheer, and Eddie laughs delightedly; thanks them all for coming, thanks the tech and service crews. He introduces the band next, pointing each member out by name and letting them do a little solo, and then he swings his guitar over his shoulder and says, “We got one last song for you tonight!”
More cheering from the crowd. Eddie plants his feet and scans the room, a small, secret smile lighting up his gorgeous face when his eyes land on Steve. Just for a second before he looks away, but that smile stays firm, and Steve knows the next words are meant for him.
“Now, this isn’t our usual style, but uh… a little birdie told me someone here might need to hear this.”
Eddie strums his guitar. The opening notes of Go Your Own Way ring out, sped up and made grittier to fit the band's sound. Steve’s heart is in his throat.
“Good morning, sweetheart," Eddie beams as his bandmates join in, "this one’s for you.”

"An offer?" You asked
"Yes, are you willing to take up my offer?"
"What is it ?" You curiously asked as you looked at him with a questionable face waiting for him to answer.
"You hate Wyatt right." He asked as he moved your hair out of your face.
"Yes." Your lips wobbled as you said ,you never thought you would say those words.
"Well if you haven't noticed, I hate fucken wife and will do anything for her to divorce me,so" Eddie says as he fixes up your hair. "I was thinking we can know…"
"What can we do?"
"You know." Eddie says as he points to you and him.
Oh..
"Oh you mean us , like uhm' you stutter.
"If you were gonna say fucking then yes." Eddie Said as he pats your cheek returning back to his side of the booth.
Your face went pale and your cheeks went red.
Was Eddie really asking to fuck you?
'uh why?" You asked about messing with your rings.
"You know why dolls don't play dumb with me now." Eddie chuckled, grabbing your shaky hand.
You knew why you just wanted to hear it come from him, but I guess he was playing hard too.
'But I don't wanna be the reason your family breaks apart." You say as Eddie plays with your fingers between his thumb and pointer finger.
The waitress comes up to your table once more with your food .You thank her as she walks away popping her gum loudly.
"So" Eddie continued "yes or no?'
.
.
Wyatt returns home in a Rush.He throws down his jacket and keys on the floor as he runs up stairs calling your name frantically.
"Wyatt what the hell is going on.' Beth asked as she took off her reading glasses, setting her book down.
"MOM! I FUCKED UP, FUCKED UP BADLY!" Wyatta says as he rubs his face pacing back and forth in his parents' shared room.
"What did you do this time?" She asked, sitting up in her bed.
Wyatt starts breathing heavily as his skin goes pale and his lips wobble.
"You slept with her didn't you?" Beth asked as she put her hands on her side.
"Yeah.."
"And y/n caught you this time didn't she?" Beth said
"Wow" Beth said in defeat, looking at her son with disappointment.
"Yeah.." Wyatt said as he sat down on the edge of his parents' shared bed .
"Now why the hell would you hook up with her while your girlfriend is in town." Beth asked with a calm tone resting her face in her hands.
"I don't know mom , I didn't know that she was gonna come back to the hotel." Wyatt groans, putting his hair back with his finger as he thinks of what he's going to say to you.
"Did she say anything to you?"
"No, she was with dad and they took off right when I was heading down there.
"She was with who?" Beth asked
"With dad,I guess she asked for a ride."
"That bitch what makes her think she can ask him for anything." Beth huffs as she grabs her car keys.
"We're are you going?"
"I'm going out, can't be here right now."
"Mom, don't!"
"What! if your father can go out with another person, so can I .Beth grabbed her purse and coat off of their door heading down stairs as Wyatt followed her.
"You serious right now , I need help on what I'm gonna tell y/n."
"That's your problem sweetie." Beth kisses Wyatt cheek "next time be careful." Beth said as she headed down stairs slamming the bedroom door on Wyatt.
.
.
"So you want to fuck me."
"Yes, if I didn't, I wouldn't be offering." Eddie lights his cigarette.
"Okay,so how would this work?" You golf your arms as Eddie passes the cigarette to you taking a hit of his cigarette.
"Well it easy we just need Wyatt and beth to catch us fucking and boom she has a reason to divorce me and you " Eddie points to you. "You get to be free." Eddie giggled seeing the ways your eyes lit up he thought it was so adorable.
You smirked as Eddie put out his cigarette.
"Let's get this started shall we."
.
Eddie knew by now beth would be out some where doing god knows what.
.
Eddie slams you against the Front door as he smashes his lips into yours. You grab a full fist of his hair as you yank his head back leaving sloppy kisses all over his tatted thick veiny neck. Eddie groans at the connection of your wet lips to his sensitive neck.
"You liked getting your hair puppled Mr.Munson?" You whispered into his ear kissing his ear lobe trailing back down to the side of his neck.
Oh now it's Mr.Munson.
"Mhm." Eddie moans as he grabs onto your ass digging his fingertips into your soft bottom.
"Jump."
" Eddie i-"
"I SAID to fucked jump, I'm not asking you." Eddie growled into your ears sending chills all across your body especially to your throbbing pussy.
You jump and Eddie takes you to the kitchen table setting you down on the marble countertop.Eddie harshly grabs the back of your neck, he growls into the kiss letting his tongue slide into your mouth, you start to unbuttoned his red button up t-shirt feeling every inch of his chest as you Wonder your fingers all around his tattooed chest. Eddie breaks the kiss as you look at your flustered eyes and down to your shaky hands barely on the fourth button.
"You need some help from their angel?" Eddie asked as he moved his hands off of his shirt as he started to take off his shirt looking right into your eyes.
"You wanna know how it is to get your pussy fucken by a real man?" He asked me to take off his shirt and let it drop down to the floor.
You try to squeeze your legs together but Eddie pulls them apart as he stands between them messing with the strap of your tank top.
'Do you?" You let out a little whimper as you nod your head repeatedly.
"Yeah?"Eddie mocked in a high pitched tone.
"Mhm,I want you to show me." Eddie let out a deep giggle as he bit his bottom lip.
"Good baby,I'm glad you're using your words." Eddie pushes you down on the counter top as he starts to take off your jeans pushing them to your ankle. Eddie was shocked to see a couple of tattoos on your leg right next to your covered pussy.
"Fuck me." Eddie whispers as he gets down on his knees,he could smell the sweet scent from you. He runs his thick fingers over your covered cunt making you squirm under his touch.
"You like that baby?" Eddie takes off your panties, putting them in his back pocket.
'I need those back Eddie." You giggled.
"Yeah, yeah I know." Eddie said as he kissed your inner thigh rubbing his thumbs on your swollen clit. You threw your head back letting your body relax on The table.
"Fuck." You whimpered.
Eddie removes his thumb licking your red sensitive bundle of nerves. You could feel his piercing swiping on your clit, it felt warm and cold at the same time, you grab Eddie hair pushing his face in a little more as he brings his thick fingers up to your clenching throbbing wet hole swiping the wetness between your folds as he enters two of his finger easily by how wet you already were.
"You taste so fucken good baby, making daddy's cock hard right now." Eddie said, pumping his finger in and out of you slowly as you both could hear the wetness from inside of you meeting his fingers.
"ShIt.." you moan as you start to take off your top, closing your eyes only to feel his thick fingers press into your warm wet walls. You start to clench on Eddie's fingers as he speeds up his pace moving his tongue away from your clit to look up at you.He looks at your blissful face she's closes one of his hands hold on your thigh as he drills into your hole with his finger making you gasp as you open your eyes.
"Yeah keep your fucken eyes on me princess."
"Fuck, FUCKKK I'm sorry." You remove your bra looking down at Eddie as he has a blissful expression on his face as if he was the one with 2 thick fingers in his hole.your boobs fall out from your bra as Eddie eyes wide at your pierced nipples.
"Fuck what else are you hiding?" You giggled at Eddie making you clench around his fingers as he groaned.
" you have to find out?" Was the last thing you said before Eddie pulls his fingers out of you licking your juices off of his finger moaning at the taste of you.you stare at Eddie as he takes off his belt setting it to the side and zips down his pants.
"Are you sure you want to do it here?" You asked to move your hair out of your face.
"Only way they will see us." Eddie chuckled, letting his pants fall to his ankles.
"Shit I don't have a condom, I'll be right back." You stopped Eddie before you could move.
"No, I wanna feel you." You pouted tugging Eddie back to you taking him into a deep kiss again.he moans as you grab his bulge in his boxers He whimper biting down on your bottom lip removing his lips from yours.
"Fuck your so pretty you know that?" He's breathing heavily as he talks to you.
"Really?" You asked, looking into Eddie's eyes, holding on to your arms.
"Well yeah I always thought you were pretty." Eddie chuckled looking down at yours and his exposed body.
"Always?"
"Ha, funny story I kind of been stalking your social media."
Your eyes widened as you giggled, kissing Eddie flustered pink cheek.
"Wow,Sexy and scary. You whispered into his ear.
"Mhm" he bites down on your folds as he spreads them apart with his 2 fingers licking at your throbbing clit.. He takes his fingers away as he buries his face in your wet pussy.
You squirm under his touche so Eddie wraps his strong tattooed arms around your legs bringing them up to his shoulder as you lock your legs around his neck. Licking and nibbling on your clit.
"Oh fuc-k Eddie" you push Eddie his head into your cunt pulling on his hair. He speeds up his finger and tongue.
" fuck I' I'm gonna cum Eddie." You squeeze your thighs around his head not wanting him to ever stop.
"Yes yes yes! Daddy's right there! OH FUCKKKK I'M CUMMING! He speeds up as he feels you cum in his fingers as you pulse around him.you drop your head looking up at the ceiling as you smile.
"That was probably one of the best orgasms I had In a while." You giggle, feeling Eddie kiss you all over your face.
"My boy doesn't treat your pussy right?" Eddie whispers into your ear kissing your neck down to your breast.
You feel so small under him, shy to even make eye contact with him.
"Mhm no…"
" Stuiped boy." Eddie yanks you off his table as you yelp from the sudden movement he turns you around pushing your feet out so he can get a clear view of your hole.
Eddie drops his pants to his ankles leaving him in his boxers. He takes out his cock from the hole of his boxer as he strokes it slowly. You try to look back but before you could Eddie slams into you.
"HOLY FUCKKK! Eddie growls out loud feeling your pussy clench on his sensitive thick cock.
"Oh OH FUCK EDDIE." you whimper feeling Eddie smack down on your ass.
"God I FUCK Love your ass, jerked off to all your bikini pic with your ass in the view wondering how you would feel."

"Your so fucken beautiful baby,so fucken pretty." You whimper at Eddie words, it made your heart flutter when he called you beautiful, Wyatt never said that to you during sex.
"FUCK! Tell yourself you're beautiful." You didn't say anything lost in the feeling of him being in you.
Eddie smacks your ass hard as his palm stings and you moan.
"SAY YOUR FUCKEN PRETTY, COME ON SAY IT!" Eddie growls into your ear yanking you up by your hair.

You were so close to cumming on him feeling every part of your body heat up by the way Eddie was hitting your g stop or how high pitched his moans and whimpers were and how he was manhandling you. Everything was so fucken perfect….

"EDWARD MUNSON WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING!" Beth runs up behind Eddie as he still has his dick in you she pulls him out of you. You quickly cover yourself before you feel a punch hitting your stomach.
"YOU STUIPED BITCH!''Beth grabs you from your hair slamming you against the wall.

"Didd, did you- sleep with- with" he couldn't finish before Beth throws a mug straight at you but it hits the wall.
"STUIPED BITCH LOOK WHAT YOU DID TO MY SON!"

"Go stand outside." Eddie tells you holding his wife back
"Are you serious?" You asked putting your hands out in disbelief
"JUST GO BEFORE YOU MAKE IT WORSE Y/N THIS IS MY FAMILY AND I NEED TO TALK TO THEM BY MYSELF!"
He didn't mean it, he just didn't want to see you get hurt and he knows she won't stop until you're on the ground or in a coma.
"YOU KNOW WHAT! FUCK YOU! AND WYATT WERE DONE! you turn back to Eddie. "SEE HOW FUCKED EASY THAT WAS EDDIE!. you say to him slamming his front door shut.
Eddie huffs as he feels a smack across his face.

"OH SCREW YOU BETH DONT ACT YOU HAVEN'T BEEN FUCKING STEVE SENCE OUR WEDDING NIGHT ÀND WYATT YOU DON'T DESERVE Y/N YOU CHEATED ON HER SON AND YOU EXCEPT HER OR ME TO FEEL BAD."
Wyatt laughed in his dad's face.
"FINE!, You can fucken keep her for all I care." Wyatt pushed past his dad leaving through the front door.
"I wanna divorce." Beth added.
"Oh now you want a divorce." Eddie was about to walk out to the front until Beth stopped him.
"Look." Beth takes Eddie's face into her hands. "I'm sorry I really am. I didn't want to hurt you. I didn't know what to say. You looked happy and I couldn't take that away from you."
Beth rubs Eddie's tears off his cheek.
"But you were my everything,Elizabeth." Eddie hugs Beth not wanting to let her go.
"I know but I don't feel the same and I shouldn't have never led you on. I'm sorry Eddie but I don't love you and I don't think I ever did."
A little whimper comes from Eddie's throat as he sobs into Beth's shoulders.
Yes beth was an asshole but in a way he still loved her.
Beth legs go of Eddie smiling at eachother.
"I'm gonna go I'll come get my shit tomorrow." She applied she was stopped by Eddie as she had her hand on the door nob looking back at her now ex husband.
"WAIT" Eddie stop's beth.
"Yeah?"
"Please tell Nancy ,she deserves to know." Beth huffs as she nods her head slamming the door.
.
.
You didn't wait outside any longer. You could hear the screams from Beth and Eddie. It made your stomach turn knowing you did something so nasty just to get back Wyatt.
Yes he did cheat but two wrongs don't make a right.
You heard the front door open and slam. You see Wyatt walk out, shoving you to the side.
"WATCH IT ASSHOLE!"
Wyatt turns around.
"FUCK YOU! YOUR THE REASON WHY MY PARENTS ARE FIGHTING YOU HAPPY!"
You scoffed at Wyatt's words.
"REALLY! DON'T ACT SO FUCKED INNOCENT YOU CHEATED ON ME WILLIAM AND YOU EXCEPT ME TO SIT BACK AND LET THAT HAPPEN"!
"NO I DON'T AND I'M SORRY BUT THAT DOESN'T MEAN TO GO SLEEP WITH MY DAD!
He was right .
Wyatt looked at you with an annoyed face as his nose flared up he steps in front of you as your face is to his chest you look up at his teary red eyes.
"You're fucken discusting y/n, because of you." Wyatt pokes your chest. "My parents are getting a divorce. Because of you." He pokes your chest again. "I don't get to have my parents under the same roof no more." You look up at Wyatts flustered face as he stares down at you.
"Just because your parents didn't have a good bond with each other and ended up getting a divorce because of you doesn't mean for you to ruin my parents relationship too."
Wyatt knew he was in the wrong but he didn't care he was mad at you his dad and himself.
"Have a good life y/n." Wyatt walks away to his car driving off into the empty street of his neighborhood..
You let a couple of tears fall rubbing your face as you heard the door open and shut, you saw Beth walking out.
You wanted to apologize but your body was stiff and your mind was wondering.
"Have a good good one y/n." Beth waved at you getting into her car.
You waiting for her to hit you but she didn't she jumped into her fasting her seatbelt.
Before yu could think your body started to move to Beth's direction. You knocked on her window before she could drive off.
"I'm sorry, I'm so fucken sorry." You cried as you looked at beth face
She was smiling.
Why was she smiling?
"Don't be, you did me a favor, was it fucked up of you, yeah. but I deserved it and to be honest I think it was best for you to do that because I would have just dragged him along with my lies and I couldn't do that to him. So thank you." You put her hand on your arm patting you.
She smiled as she rolled up her window, backing out as she drove off.
You couldn't stay there any longer ,so you ran.
You just ran.
You couldn't see his face, you didn't want him to be mean like Wyatt was, you couldn't look at him, not now.
So you ran hoping to find a cab on your way out because you needed to get out of there you couldn't face Eddie. You didn't want him to scream at you or blame you for splitting up his family .
.
.
.
Eddie ran out of his front door wanting to apologize to you But You weren't there.
Yeah.he saw that coming.
It hurt that you didn't wait for him. Eddie kicked his door multiple times as he screamed but stopped as he saw his next door neighbor watching him.
"ARE YOU OKAY SONNY BOY." she yelled asking Eddie.
"No I'm not.why do you care?" He heard the venom in his voice.
"Girl problems?" the older woman asked.
"He walks through the grass leading to the fence that slips his and his neighbors house.
"Yeah." Eddie exhaled as the older woman passed him a cigarette. He giggled, thanking her before taking it from her shaky short hands.
"Who cheated on who?" She coughed.
Eddies huffed as he was getting ready for any insult that was going to be thrown his way.
Would it be bad if I say we both did." He looked at the lady as she shook her head.
"Who did first?"
"My wife."
"Never liked her." Eddie and the older woman laughed.
"Who was the other women?" She pointed to Eddie front Yard where you were standing.
"My son's girlfriend." he blows out the smoke from his mouth watching the lady's eyes widen.
"Ohhhh." She exhaled.
"Yeah. Am I a bad parent?" He asked, trying to hold his tears in not wanting to cry In Front of his neighbor he barely knew.
"Well may I ask what he did wrong? She throws her cigarette on the floor stomping the bud with her cane.
"He cheated on her so we slept together, well not ready but kind of." He rubs his forehead just noticing that be didn't even get to cum.
Not the right time Munson he argued with his thoughts.
"Well looks like he takes after his mama. I don't think you're a bad parent. I don't think you're a bad person at all. I think you're just trying to teach your boy a lesson was it a little messed up for you to sleep with his girlfriend a little bit, but I see what you were trying to get at."
"What do I do?" He asked.
"Nothing."she stated. "If that woman wants to come back or if your son wants to come back they will reach out to you, don't waste your time on those people. I think it's best to focus on yourself for now until you're ready."
"Yeah but I don't want to be alone." Eddie sniffs
"Sorry but sometimes it's good to be alone. It's good to get to know yourself and I think that's what you need to do."
Eddie smiles at the older woman tapping her fence.
"Thank you."
"You're welcome. But all I have to say is that woman, I see the way you look at her, and there is a different look in your eyes. I saw the way she looked at you and she will definitely come back when it's time" The older woman said standing up from her chair.
"You think so." Eddie smiled.
"I know so." She smiled fixing her glasses. As she turns to her front door.
"Wait, I didn't get your name."
She smiles at Eddie.
" Joyce Call me Joyce"
"Joyce. Eddie smiled. "Thank you."
"No problem sweetie. Now get inside that house and get some sleep, boy."she giggles as she opens her front door.
"I will." Eddies jogs back to his front door but he looks back at his neighbor's yard making sure Joyce went in.
He swears he heard that name before.
.
Eddie sat in his empty quiet house as he thought.
Eddie was in love with everything about you,but he was too late you ran from him like everyone else did.
He just hopes you were willing to come back to him one day.
He was Done chasing after people to love him,for the first time in his life he wanted someone to chase him to show him that he's worth of love.
He turns off his kitchen and living room light as he locks the door he felt something in his back pocket as he pulls out your red panties,It made him Laugh a little.
At least he had a little reminder of you.
.
.
.

Eddie smiled at his phone knowing this could be a new beginnings for the both of you.

Yes.

Grief (A Friend Indeed) Part 12
And here we are at the end. Thank you so much for being on this journey with me.
Here we have Steve's POV of the last scene from last week, he talks to Hopper and Steve's uncle further proves he'd be a better parent than Clint Harrington.
Pt 1 Pt 2 Pt 3 Pt 4 Pt 5 Pt 6 Pt 7 Pt 8 Pt 9 Pt 10 Pt 11
****
Steve watched Eddie march to the truck and let out a shuddering breath. He thought that they had really connected here. But now as they were going back to Hawkins it appeared that Eddie was just going to leave that here in Ashland.
He got to his car and looked at the sad little cooler and just lost it. He started cursing and hitting the steer wheel.
“Stupid, stupid, stupid!” he hissed. “You never did hear a name, did you, Harrington? Apparently he was in love with someone else all this time and was only being nice because you were having a mental break down.”
He could feel the tears stream down his face. Bitter and angry. “You should have been supporting him not the other way round. That’s probably why he’s soooo pissed at you. Because he was grieving and you made it all about you. Like you always do. Fuck!”
Just then the passenger side door was wrenched open and Eddie slid in.
The tears dried up instantly in his surprise. “Eds?”
And then Eddie proceeded to just knock all his intrusive thoughts out of the fucking ballpark. Just sent them running like a scared dog with its tail between its legs.
Then kissed him about it.
They still needed to have a proper conversation but that could wait until they were back in Hawkins.
Steve could live with that.
*
When they got home they had that talk. Eddie learned about all the different girls who had propositioned him and was pissed on his behalf.
“That’s fucking bullshit,” he said. “You shouldn’t have had to deal with that.”
Steve shrugged. “You had enough on your plate. Plus, I sicced Uncle Danny after them.”
Eddie blinked. “Oh. I think I would have paid good money to see that.”
“I didn’t have to send anyone after Beth though,” Steve said with a grin, “Lauren did that all on her own.”
“I’m so glad you two got along,” Eddie murmured. “But in the future, you tell me these things. I want to protect you, the way you protect everyone else, okay?”
Steve agreed.
Wayne walked into the new house provided by the government, wiping his hands on an old rag.
“Everything is in the garage for us to sort and place later,” he told Eddie.
“You two going to be wanting help getting everything in?” Steve asked.
Wayne shook his head. “Lauren and her Uncle Hal are coming out next week to help out.”
Eddie ran his tongue over his teeth thoughtfully. “Yeah? I didn’t hear about that.”
Wayne had the presence of mind to blush. “It must have slipped my mind.”
“Uh-huh,” Steve and Eddie said together.
Wayne cleared his throat. “So I’m going to be seeing you a lot more now that you and Ed are together?”
Steve grinned, wrapping his arms around Eddie’s waist and putting his head on his shoulder. “I’ll be here so often, you’ll think I live here.”
Wayne hummed. “We’ll come back to that in a few months.”
Eddie blushed. “Nice to know you aren’t planning the wedding already, old man.”
Wayne blinked innocently. “Oh I am, but I’m thinking fall of next year or the year after.”
Eddie coughed and sputtered as Steve laughed.
He turned to Steve. “Why aren’t you defending me against this?” He waved at Wayne’s smug expression.
“Because I’m already coming up with arguments for a late spring early summer wedding instead.”
Eddie’s jaw dropped. “That’s some confidence you got there, darlin’. What makes you think I’ll say yes.”
Steve kissed him, slow and searing.
Eddie blushed. “Yup. Okay. Uh-huh. Point made.”
Wayne just smiled fondly.
*
Steve was really starting to regret setting the party on his Uncles Percy and David.
Robin, El, and Will had kidnapped Percy, while Dustin, Mike, and Nancy had absconded with David somewhere.
Eddie, Lauren, and Jonathan were talking to Hal and Lucas, Max, and Erica were talking to Wayne.
Hopper came up to Steve and put his arm around his shoulders.
Steve relaxed into the embrace.
“You did good, kid,” Hopper said. “I’m proud of you.”
Steve nodded and then rubbed the end of his nose, trying to fight back the tears.
“I had a long talk with Joyce about some of her choices that she made while I was gone,” he continued. “I’m glad I’m out of that hell hole, but she should have made sure everyone was safe first.”
“She had a lot on her plate,” Steve murmured.
Hopped cuffed the back of his head. “Don’t you go forgiving her without her apologizing first. I had to go back to California because apparently some fucked up general decided to shoot up the Byers house in Lenora.”
Steve looked over at Hopper in shock. “They did what now?”
Hopper nodded. “It was a complete shit show. But you have to know, I wouldn’t have just left you behind if I didn’t think you could handle it.”
“I know, I just...”
“Just wish you didn’t have to handle it?” he asked. Steve nodded. “I getcha. I wish you didn’t have to either. But I trust you to take care of everyone here, because I know they’re in safe hands with you.”
Steve choked back a sob. “Thanks, Hop.”
“Still can’t believe you’re dating that Munson kid,” he teased.
Steve pushed Hop way playfully. “Oh fuck off. He’s a good man.”
Hop looked over at him talking to Jonathan and Hal. “If he gets you to take care yourself or at least does it for you, he gets a pass from me.”
Steve blushed. “He takes care of me. It’s incredible how easy he makes it look.”
“I know your family was shit growing up,” Hop said. “But look at it now.”
Steve looked out at the fifteen-sixteen people out there lounging around the swimming pool with fondness.
“I always wanted a big family,” he said softly. “Who would have thought that all it would take is some extra-dimensional monsters to make it happen.”
Hopper chuckled. “I feel you kid. Before I started all this, I had lost my daughter to cancer and my wife to divorce. Now, not only do I have another daughter to take care of, I have a woman I love and her two boys that are like her sons to me.”
Steve made a grimace. “Does that mean Jonathan is my step-brother, because ew.”
“I heard that Harrington!” Jonathan called out.
Steve and Hopper laughed.
Eddie came bounding up to Steve. “I’m not sure I want the Chief as a father-in-law, babe.”
Steve smiled. “Oh that is going to make for some very awkward family dinners.
Percy came up behind Eddie.
“Hello, I’m Steve’s uncle, Percy,” he said extending his hand to Hopper to shake.
“Yeah,” Hopper said. “I’ve been hearing all about you. I’m sorry Clint Harrington kept you away from Steve for all this time.”
Percy nodded. “Jasper being an idiot didn’t help, unfortunately. But I’m in Steve’s life for good. There’s nothing that his parents could do that would change that.”
Steve gave Percy a hug in gratitude.
“Welcome to Hawkins then,” Hopper said with a smile. “It’s bit of a mess at the moment, but it’s home.”
“Well,” Percy said with a smile, “the welcome so far has been amazing I’m happy Steven has a support system now.” He turned to Steve. “May I pull you away for a moment. There’s something I would like to talk to you about.”
Steve looked at Hopper and Eddie who both shrugged. “Sure, lead the way.”
Percy went inside the kitchen and sat down at the counter. “When you told me that you didn’t get into the colleges and universities you applied for, I called around.”
Steve frowned. “Why? My grades slipped after Christmas my senior year. I ended at 2.76 GPA. I figured that wasn’t good enough to get in.”
“Yes,” Percy said. “If they only looked at your senior year. But they don’t. They look at a cumulative GPA from all your years at high school. You had a cumulative GPA of 3.16. Which is more than enough to get into any college you wanted. Especially with you still winning medals in swimming.”
His frown deepened. “But Dad said that I didn’t get into any of those schools.”
“Yes, which I thought was odd,” Percy further explained. “Which is why I called. Steven, you got accepted into two thirds of the schools you applied for.”
Steve leaned back. “What? That’s not possible.”
“I’m guessing Clint only showed you the one third you didn’t get into and told you the rest was the same.”
“Why?” he breathed. “Why would he do that?”
“Because the schools you got into weren’t the ones he wanted you to go to is my next guess.”
“I can go to college?” Steve asked, his lip quivering. “I don’t have to be stuck here my whole life?”
Percy shook his head. “You are a smart young man, and David and I are very committed to helping you get to where you want to go in life. Your parents mail have failed you, but I promise we won’t.”
Steve let out a shaky breath. “Thank you so much.”
Percy got up and hugged him. “Now go back out to your boy, he’ll be worried about you.”
Steve nodded and walked back out.
Percy followed close behind and wrapped his arm around David’s waist.
“You think they’re going to be okay?” David asked as they watch Steve and Eddie cling to each other.
“Oh yes,” Percy said. “It may have taken a tragedy to get them here, but they are smart boys with a great support system. There is nothing those boys can’t do now.”
“I’m happy to have met them,” David said.
“Me too.”

Here is another little excerpt from the current Steddie WIP that I've been writing. In this fic Eddie still lives with his parents. It's still in its draft stage, but I like the dialogue and the vibe.
In this excerpt, Eddie is getting Alan out of jail.
-
They walk down the familiar hallway, the familiar anti-drug posters, that one flickering ceiling light that needs to be replaced until they reach a set of cells. Alan is standing, swaying slightly with sweat beading on his upper lip, his right shoe missing and his threadbare shirt ripped at the collar.
“Eddie, my boy! You know how awful it is to sleep in here? They don't give you a fucking pillow, gotta be against the Geneva Convention or some shit,” Alan rambles, his words slurring as if he was still drunk. Alan is sober, it's just how he sounds now.
“Did you get into a fight, again?” Eddie asks, leaning against the wall opposite, crossing his arms over his chest as Hopper unlocks the cell door.
“Some fuckin’ yuppies thought they were better than me. Fuckin’ assholes,” Alan mumbles as he stumbles out of the cell, Eddie and Hopper following behind him back out the hallway.
“College kids, Alan tried to steal one of their wallets,” Hopper amends to Eddie.
“Allegedly, I allegedly tried to steal their wallet.”
It is completely dark when they step outside, the street lights casting its golden glow on the pavement beneath “where’s the fucking car?” Alan drawls, staring dumbly towards the parking lot, no van in sight.
“You and Beth crashed my car, remember?” Eddie sighs, too tired to snap at Alan, too tired to care about Hopper staring at him.
“You should probably get it fixed then,” Alan answers unhelpfully, staggering his way towards the nearest bus stop, leaving Hopper and Eddie to themselves.
“You know, if he was my Dad, I wouldn’t be paying for his bail,” Hopper says quietly and Eddie feels a familiar flash of anger, the burning embers of shame at the pit of his stomach.
“Good thing he ain’t your Dad then,” Eddie snaps, pulling out a cigarette from the crumpled box in his pocket and shoving it between his lips. He clicks the lighter, swearing under his breath when he struggles to light his fucking cigarette, he just needs a fucking light. Just needs something to fucking work for him.
“Just don’t let your parents drag you down with them,” Hopper says, taking out his own lighter and handing it to Eddie.
“Look,” Eddie lights his cigarette, hands it back to Hopper and puts his own lighter back in his pocket, “I appreciate the whole good cop routine, but don't condescend to me about my fucking life, ok?”
“Ok.”
“Thanks for the light,” Eddie mumbles in lieu of saying goodbye, turning on his heel and walking to the bus stop where Alan is sitting.
Eddie stands near Alan and all he can think about is the cut of money that he was supposed to give to Rick, the groceries, the bus fare, the water bill, the repairs for his van, the repairs for the plumbing. He will have to use the money from his actual job to give Rick his cut, and will have to spend the week eating slices of bread and canned soup-.
“I fucked up, didn't I?” Alan asks, staring out across the street at nothing.
“I was supposed to give Rick his cut, but I paid for your bail instead. So yeah, you did fuck up,” Eddie drops his cigarette, squishing it underneath his foot just as the bus rounds the corner to the street.
“I don't know why I'm like this,” Alan chokes out, his voice thickening and face crumpling before Eddie.
Alan Munson had a job once, was normal for a brief period of time where he was able to afford a house and go on a family trip to another state at least once a year. Eddie has vague memories of those years, too young to remember the details of the Grand Canyon or the beaches in California, now immortalised in photographs. Eddie hates looking at those pictures now. Hates seeing Alan almost losing it just as much.
“It's ok Dad, I'll figure it out.”

you may pick one or both but steve&jj and buddie longfic are both making me !!!!! CRAZY!!!!
hello my wonderful dotipher <3<3 i will say i tried very hard to do both the longfic and the jj fic but the jj fic came spilling out of me at a rate i was NOT anticipating so. here is steve&jj for ya!!!! <3<3
He gives Eddie a peck on the lips and waves to Beth as they silently make their way down the stairs and to the parking garage. Steve folds himself basically in half in the front seat of the VW Golf, making a dramatic show of how he has to adjust the seat all the way back, as she peels out of the parking garage, flying down the street.
“You are 5’10, why the fuck did you pick the smallest car on planet earth.” He whines, forcing his Bruce Springsteen tape into the deck.
“Shut up,” she shoves him as they merge onto the freeway, making Steve’s hands sweaty. “It was a cute car and I was 16.”
“Try not to crush us like a soda can,” Steve says, flinching as she weaves in and out of lanes. He opts to distract himself, fast forwarding through the tape to get to the song he really wanted to listen to.
“Fuck off, I’ve been driving almost a full decade longer than you.”
“No one would have been able to guess that — WATCH OUT!”
“Don’t be a baby!” She scoffs, sitting back in her seat and easing up on the gas. The song starts and Steve sits back, tries to relax. Try, being the key word. Can’t seem to figure out how to stop his leg from bouncing up and down, the further they get away from Chicago.
I'll shake this world off my shouldersCome on, baby, the laugh's on me
“You never answered my question,” He says, breaking the silence between them.
“No, I didn’t get my driver’s license from a cereal box.” He doesn't laugh at her lame attempt at a joke.
“Jay, seriously.”
✨🕺wip week bc we are so back 🕺✨

Beth [ 18 ] | Dad!Eddie Munson fic
Eighteen, Little white rabbit
Word count - 5802
Warnings - idk honestly
━━━━━━━━━♡♥♡━━━━━━━━━
June 1996
By the time Lola's first birthday was almost here, her and Beth had grown much closer. The incident of September ninety-five was basically forgotten and the older girl was embracing the sibling bond with her little sister. It was a place you never thought the two girls would get to, but now they had and you were more and more grateful as the days ticked by. There had been many moments over the past couple months that had you and Eddie aweing over your kids' newfound relationship. It had become a customary of Beth’s to share with the small child, whether it was toys or food. The two liked to dance together whenever there was music playing through the house– if you could call it dancing, it was much more Lola bobbing and Beth tugging on her hands in some odd attempt of motion; It was cute nonetheless.
The first time you had seen it happen you almost cried, but rather than actually shedding tears, you quietly called for your husband to come and watch. He was just as love sick as you were.
Only a short while before you saw it, Eddie had slipped a Queen cassette into the player. It echoed calmly throughout the house while you did your chores. Or, while you did chores and Eddie got distracted with Bat. The grown man was laid on the floor of the hallway between rooms, fussing the cat with a bright grin plastered to his face. He was supposed to be helping you change the beds, but now here you were, huffing and puffing and working up a sweat while he had fun.
It was only after you were done and made your way to Beth’s room that you noticed she wasn’t tidying. After a long, busy week, it was a complete mess and you had asked her kindly to just do a little bit of cleaning up in there. It seemed as though she had started to, there were a couple things moved back into their places or shoved into drawers, but apparently she had given up halfway through.
You set out to find her, scouring the cabin and stepping over Eddie, until you came across her in the living room. She was standing beside your youngest daughter’s playpen, the baby on her feet and gurgling happily as her sister held her hands. As the chorus of I want to break free finally hit, the smaller of the two began to bounce on her feet to the music, making Beth laugh and join her. You could hear the faint mumblings of Beth singing along, clearly enjoying herself.
Any frustration you might have had over the fact she hadn’t cleaned her room faded away. None of that mattered anymore now that she looked as joyous as that. With light footsteps you left the room, heading back to your husband to alert him of what was happening. It was deathly important to you that he too be a witness to this moment.
You were trying to be as quiet as possible so you didn’t let the girl know that you knew what they were up to, but Eddie was never that subtle.
When you got back to him, he was still with Bat, only now he was laying on his back with the beloved family pet clambering all over him. He was laughing too, that sort of laugh that made your stomach flutter. You wished you could just stand there and admire him for hours, but you were too afraid of the precious loving moment between the two sisters ending before he got to see it. “Eddie,” you whispered.
He didn’t hear you at first, too distracted by the ball of fluff who was pining for his attention. But the second you called his name, just a little louder, his eyes were flickering over to you. You were standing there with a smile and your arms crossed over your chest. If he wasn’t so accustomed to seeing amusement sparkle in your eyes, then he probably would have thought he was in trouble. But he knew he was in the clear. “Hi,” he muttered quietly, a little embarrassed to have been caught acting like a small child seeing a cat for the first time.
The flush on his face had you shaking your head. “Come look at this, dummy.”
You led him to the spot where you had been standing earlier, seeing that the two girls were still dancing their hearts out. Eddie practically melted into a puddle beside you upon finding the sight with his own eyes. His arms snaked around your waist, chin settling on your shoulder as the two of you watched. Neither of you said anything, just appreciated the bonding that was happening in front of your very eyes. This was a place you never thought the girls would get to only a few months ago. If someone had told you back in September that the two would be best friends by Lola’s birthday, you wouldn’t have believed them.
As the song came to a close, there was a big dramatic finish, Beth lifting her sister into her arms while the pair grinned wildly. In that very moment you and Eddie felt complete. The two girls still didn’t know you were there, so to make yourselves known during their big show stopping finish, you and your husband clapped for them, Eddie even throwing in the occasional cheer.
The older girl turned to look at you standing in the doorway with wide eyes, but she didn’t even have a window of opportunity to be embarrassed before she was being enveloped in a hug by you. According to her you were squeezing her so tight that you were basically crushing her– but you believed that was just her flare for dramatics that she inherited from her dad. While you took to Beth, the man beside you reached out for his other little girl.
“C’mere chunk,” he cooed affectionately, letting the girl sit on his hip. She babbled as she usually does, just making sound, but as always Eddie entertained it, imagining the two were having the world’s most fascinating conversation.
You and Beth just watched on happily, until he realized you were looking and invited you both in on his little family hug. The little girl didn’t waste a second, rushing towards her dad so fast that when she collided with his legs she sent him stumbling back a little. Nonetheless, besides that mishap, he was happy to wrap her in his arms. You were the final piece of the puzzle, beckoned over by your husband to crush the two little girls into the hug.
You deducted that each and every time you were a witness to an event of their bonding, your heart would only grow bigger. That was only one of the occasions in which the two embraced their new found love for each other.
About a week and a half later, still before Lola’s birthday on the twenty-first, you stumbled upon another perfect opportunity for the girls to further better their relationship. You didn’t think the flier crumpled up at the bottom of the girl’s school bag was supposed to be found. It looked as though she tried to destroy it and then hide it as well as she could so you wouldn’t see it. But you did. You were only packing her lunch when the blue tinted paper caught your eye, and though you always insisted privacy was key and necessary, you couldn’t help the curiosity that bubbled in your stomach.
You decided to ask her about it later, when her father wasn’t around, just in case there was a good reason she didn’t tell anyone. Eddie was planning to take Lola to a routine checkup at the doctors later anyway, that would be your perfect opportunity. So you waited.
A little later on, you kissed Eddie goodbye at the door, dropping one onto Lola’s head too before they left. In the cabin now it was just you and Beth— plus Bat, which he wouldn’t let you forget. You knocked on her door ever so lightly, calling out to her. In response you received a quiet ‘come in’. She was sitting on the edge of her bed, pulling at the strings on her guitar with a face full of concentration, she was adorable when she got like this. But as she played– and continued to miss a note or two– you guessed she was struggling.
“Hey, what’re you up to?” you asked.
With a sigh she moved the guitar from her lap, placing it behind her on the bed. “Tryna play a song daddy showed me. I can’t get it though,” she complained.
The crease between her brows was adorable. She was so much like Eddie when it came to playing her instrument– which was no surprise– but they both had the same concentration face and determination to succeed. Sometimes they just needed a little encouragement. “Don’t worry, ‘m sure you will.”
Her eyes lit up. “You’re sure?”
You nodded. “Absolutely. You always do. But I actually wanted to talk to you.” It probably sounded suspicious, and maybe sent a shrill of concern up her spine, but she was now curious. “What about?”
“I found this in your bag earlier. Was wondering if you wanted to tell me about it.” You were trying to be as careful as possible. Your fear was of hitting a nerve or something, which was the reason behind why she didn’t let you and her dad know. Her eyes went wide upon seeing the familiar scrap of paper. You took the slight wobble of her bottom lip as a sign to sit beside her on the edge of her bed.
There were a few beats of silence where she didn’t really know what to say. “I didn’t think you’d care,” she mumbled, picking at the chipped blue polish on her nails. You frowned, noting that she was avoiding looking at you. Usually the girl was able to tell you anything, and she was always overjoyed when telling you about school stuff, you had no idea why this one was different. You had always cared before.
You brushed away some hair that was shielding her face, drawing her attention to the look of concern flashing in your eyes. “Why wouldn’t we care, sweetheart?”
She huffed, her shoulders sagging as her lips fell into a pout. “‘Cause ‘m not playing Alice.”
It pained you to think she wasn’t aware you would both go to the ends of the earth for her. It didn’t matter if she was playing a tree of sorts in the background of the play, you would still be front and center to see her. Eddie would love to cheer her on in anything she does, he was her biggest fan.
You scoffed. “That’s silly sweetheart. Who are you playing?” you asked. The genuine curiosity in your voice made her feel a little better. If you weren’t interested you wouldn’t have asked, or at least that was what she thought.
“The white rabbit?” She said it like she wasn’t sure you would know the character, thinking the part was tiny.
But you actually gasped, very exaggerated, but she didn’t have to know that, you just wanted to make her feel special. “That’s, like, the most important part. You can’t have the play if there’s no white rabbit to lead her into wonderland.” You saw the moment her eyes lit up, her back straightening out as she basically threw herself into your arms. You were more than happy to embrace her and reassure her. “Your dad’s gonna be so excited.”
“Yeah,” she agreed, dully. You were too thrilled about the prospect of getting to see your daughter shine that you failed to realize the seemingly sullen tone she picked up and the way she started chipping at her nail polish again. She was awfully quiet when your husband came home later, conversing with a babbling Lola. You and Beth were waiting for them when they got back, table set and dinner ready. You greeted him with a kiss, doing the same for the baby in his arms. As you did so, your husband filled you in on everything that happened at the doctor’s.
“We got the all good for the doctors,” he said, taking Lola’s baby shoes off and leaving her in her pink socks, “she’s got eleven fingers and eleven toys, don’t ya, Lols?” He cooed, voice pitchy as he tickled her tiny feet making her let out screechy giggles. You rolled your eyes at his joke, taking Lola from his arms and walking away. “Give me my baby, Munson.” You could hear his chuckles in the dining room.
The four of you settled into your spots and portioned out your meals. Most of the chatter came from Eddie, the man recounting every detail of his day. But you knew he’d be happy to be interrupted, especially when he heard his daughter’s news. When you realized Beth wasn’t going to be the one to tell her father about her news, you decided to step in and help her. Looking at your husband, you grinned at him. “Beth has something she wants to tell you.”
His attention on his daughter, he hummed at her, patiently–but eagerly–waiting for her to tell him. “Oh, yeah? What is it?”
Beth sighed, picking at her food. When she finally gathered up her courage, she told him. “‘M gonna be in the school play. Alice in Wonderland.”
His eyes lit up, food forgotten as he beamed at his daughter. But Eddie oftentimes had a way of making things worse before he made them better. “Cool! Are you gonna be Alice?”
You could have physically facepalmed. Beth frowned, looking at you with creased eyebrows. “See, mom, no one cares about the play if I’m not Alice.”
“Beth,” you exhaled, shooting your husband an angry glare, “baby, the White Rabbit is one of the most vital roles. Isn’t that right, Edward?” You dared him to disagree and make the little girl feel worse. He wasn’t a complete lost cause, nodding energetically at his daughter, trying to rectify himself.
“No, yeah, sweet girl, the White Rabbit is like the most important part. Isn’t that right, sweetheart?” You nodded, agreeing with her father. Eddie continued, squeezing her shoulder, “we’ll be there front and center, Beth. You’re gonna do amazing, my little movie star.” And just like that, Beth was placated. However, when your husband mentioned asking Petal about sewing her costume, you were filled with dread. The only thing that appeased you was the knowledge that he was going to take care of that.
Except he didn’t. The day he was supposed to ask, something had come up at the diner and he decided he was going to go. That left you ushering your girls out the door and to the car, driving slowly to their nana’s house. The cozy was usually your home away from home, but now it had you swallowing in fear. Beth ran ahead of you up the stairs, you dragging behind her with Lola in your arms.
“Hi!” Petal greeted when she opened the door, “this is a pleasant surprise. Come in.” Beth didn’t need to be told twice, running into the room in search of her ‘cousin.’ You wanted to call out to the little girl and beg her not to leave you. It wasn’t that you were necessarily scared of the older woman, but you just didn’t think you had any right to ask her to do anything for you. Even if it was technically for her beloved granddaughter.
“Y/N!” She called, drawing your attention back to her. You blinked at her apologetically, she smiled, shaking her head. “Would you like some tea? Then you can tell me why you’re here.”
You nodded, following her into the kitchen, holding onto Lola for support, and watching as she set the kettle on the burner. After turning on the flame, she turned to you. “So, what’s up?”
Suddenly shaky, you played with the hem of your shirt. “I wanted to ask you–and you can say no–if you could…if you would be so kind as to–”
She looked at you in confusion, trying to gauge just what you were asking of her. Your pitiful attempts were halted by Beth barreling into the room. The little girl was your saving grace in many ways, but none more than now. Flashing her a smile, “Beth, didn’t you have something you wanted to ask your nana?”
Beth tilted her head, brown eyes wide in wonderment as she thought. Eventually, she shook her head. “No.”
You looked at her, placing your hands on your shoulders, practically begging for her to read your mind. But Beth didn’t have those abilities. Instead, you took to urging her. “Yeah, about the play, remember?”
Beth’s eyes lit up, bouncing on her feet as she jumped at her grandmother. “Oh, yeah. Nana, I’m gonna be in the play.”
“Which play, sweet girl?” Petal asked, pouring the boiling water into two mugs, tea bags changing the clear into brown.
“Alice in Wonderland,” the ten year old informed. Petal’s face lit up, likely thinking back to when her own daughter was in the play. It was funny how life circled back sometimes.
“That’s wonderful,” the lawyer gushed, leading the three of you out of the kitchen and into the living room. Beth settled in beside her grandmother, snuggling into her side. You briefly wondered where Delia was, the little girl having not followed after Beth like she usually did. You couldn’t pose your question though, Beth jumping in and asking her nana something else.
“Will you come?” the sweet girl asked. Petal nodded her head, placing a small kiss on her temple in confirmation.
“Beth,” you called, knowing that if you didn’t allude to what you wanted the little girl to ask, she wouldn’t do it. “Isn’t there something else? About the character you’re going to be? Maybe about your costume?”
“Oh yeah,” Beth gasped, doe eyes peering at her grandmother. Mustering the most persuasive look she could, she looked at an amused Petal. “Grandma, can you make my costume?”
“Absolutely I can,” She enthused, encircling her in her arms. “Who are you playing?”
“The White Rabbit!” the little girl cheered, a different tone to the one she used when she told you her character. Petal started rattling off her ideas, Beth listening intently, wide eyes brightening with every sentence. There were so many pros that came with having such a large extended family, but one was the many hidden talents that came to fruition when you needed them. You watched happily, the pair seemingly lost in their own world. With that matter settled, you felt a weight lifted off your shoulders. Especially since both parties looked absolutely ecstatic about her costume.
“Oh, Bethy,” Petal clapped, “you’re gonna be the cutest bunny.”
“Rabbit,” Beth corrected, “I’m gonna be a rabbit.”
Petal laughed, fixing her mistake and going back to planning with her eldest granddaughter. The play was three weeks away meaning you had more than enough time to do everything that needed to be done. You knew how quickly time passed, but you hoped it wouldn’t pass in a blink of the eye.
The day of the play was filled with so much excitement, from the entire family. That morning you were tasked with drop off duty, Eddie having gone to the diner early for the both of you. With Lola in her carseat and Beth beside her, you drove the girl to her school. Beth was a bundle of nerves in the backseat, staring out of the window ever so quietly, fingers playing with the end of the cloth garment cover.
“Beth,” you called, looking at her through the rearview mirror, “you okay?”
“Mmhm,” she hummed, “fine.”
You didn’t push, knowing you wouldn’t get anywhere by doing that. Sometimes, the way to reach the little girl was to let her come to you first. The drop off lane was always full when you got there, kids running out and meeting friends without so much as a glance back to their parents. Beth was the same, and usually, you’d let her go. But this time you couldn’t.
Just as she was about to run off, you stopped her. “You’re gonna do great, sweetheart. We’ll be there, front row.”
She beamed at your words, calling out a goodbye as she stumbled into the building. Watching as she left, you turned to your youngest daughter in her seat, “your sister’s gonna be so good, Lols.” The toddler babled at you, clapping her hands as if she understood a word you were saying. “What do you say we get your sister some flowers, huh? Do you wanna see Auntie Tulip?” You took her squeal as a yes and peeled out of the parking lot.
It wasn’t strange for the flower shop to be empty so early in the morning, business usually picking up later in the day, but it was strange to not find your friend tending to her flowers as she usually was. The bell dinged above you and Lola giggled at the sound as she held onto your pointer finger, stumbling into the shop. You looked at the colorful flowers, brushing your finger on some of the petals. You were so entranced on them, you didn’t hear Tulip walk out of her office. “Is that my little Lola?”
She picked her up, nuzzling her nose into her neck and placing quick kisses on it. You took the time to take in her appearance. Now you didn’t know the full details, but you knew something was going on with one of her babies, which caused her to stay up for hours on end. Black bags lined her gorgeous eyes and it was as if her fire dulled out, making you pity the younger woman. But you kept it to yourself–the best thing you could have done for her was acting as if you knew nothing, she’d tell you when she was ready. Tulip pulled her face away from Lola’s neck, keeping her in her arms as she addressed you. “What can I do for you?”
“Beth’s play,” was all you said. Tulip’s lips curled into a small frown, but before you could comment on it, she fixed her face into a smile.
“Right,” she agreed, “tulips then?” You nodded. She set to work, wrapping a colorful bundle in pale pink wrapping tissue. You wanted to ask her if she was going to be there, but part of you already knew the answer. Babies were so demanding, especially when they were sick and couldn’t communicate, so you couldn’t fault her, but you knew Beth would be disappointed her favorite aunt wouldn’t be there.
You asked her before you left. She pursed her lips, letting out a disheartened exhale, “we’ll see. I don’t know if Rosie would make it through an entire play without screaming. I’ll try my best to be there.” It was the best she could give you and you accepted it. Thanking her for the lovely bouquet and reassuring her that no one would be angry at her if she missed it, you left the small store.
The moment you took your seat next to your husband, he was instantly taking Lola into his arms and digging his nose into her neck, giggles leaving her lips. Steve was at your side, video camera in his hands while the strollers with his kids were beside him in the aisle. As the lights dimmed, you whispered over to him, “no Tulip?”
“Couldn’t make it,” he responded, “Rosie wouldn’t stop crying. She sends her apologies, but she’ll meet us for dinner.” You nodded, turning to the stage as the curtain was pulled back and the play started. From the corner of your eye, you could see a small head of curls peeking out from behind the red curtains, looking into the crowd. It didn’t take a genius to know who it was. She didn’t know that you were aware of her actions because almost as soon as you saw her, she smiled to herself and pulled away. Any doubts she may have had just disappeared at the sight of her family.
Neither you or Eddie could control the grin on your faces when you saw your eldest girl make her debut. She looked silly, hopping over to the blonde girl playing Alice in true rabbit fashion. Beth seemed to glow under the white lights, reciting her lines without so much as a hiccup. For a split second, while Alice drew everyone’s attention to her, she made eye contact with you, and she positively glowed. She brought a quick hand up in an eager wave, one you returned just as enthusiastic. You were kinda sad the play had to end, especially with how happy Beth seemingly was on that stage, but you were so glad to have her in your arms.
After the final bow, she ran up to you, small arms wrapping around your legs. After you leaned down to kiss the top of your head, she stared up at you, brown eyes brimming with joy. “Mom, did you see me?”
“I did!” You answered excitedly, “you looked so cute.” She frowned and swatted at your hands when you pinched her rosy cheeks. Her father came up behind her, Lola in his arms. The eleven month old held a bouquet in her grasp, Eddie supporting it with his fingers. He brushed a hand through his eldest daughter’s curls, drawing her attention to the pair.
“These are from Lola, for you,” Eddie said, holding the girl on his hip. She outstretched her arms, with some help from her father, handling the bouquet in her tiny hands. As Beth took the flowers from her sister, tears began to well in her eyes. You beamed at the sight, bringing the older into your side and rubbing her back. “Thank you, Lols.”
The moment was sweet, even sweeter when the ten year old leaned forward to place a kiss to her sister’s cheek. Lola giggled happily, burying her face into her dad’s shoulder. You were beyond happy watching your little family, you almost didn’t catch the little blonde girl sulking. Her eyes fluttered around the room as she pouted. No one seemed to notice her, but you did. Turning to Beth, who was having a conversation with one of her cousins, you asked her, “Beth, who is that?”
Beth furrowed her eyebrows, looking around the room. She genuinely didn’t know who you were talking about. “Who’s who, mom?”
“That little girl by herself,” you pointed. She stood out like a sore thumb, every other kid hugging their loved ones. By this point, your friends and family had ceased their individual conversations and listened in on yours. Beth’s mouth shaped into an ‘O’ as she caught sight of the lonely little girl.
“That’s Eleanor York,” she informed, mild disdain coating her face, “she was the reason I didn’t get to play Alice.”
“Beth,” you scolded, “be nice. Why is she alone?”
The curly haired girl shrugged, “her mom’s always late. She gets picked up last. I don’t think she has any friends either.”
Brushing aside the curiosity on how Beth could know something like that—you figured it had something to do with Eddie and his lack of time management,  “why don’t you go talk to her, pretty girl?”
“But we were gonna go to dinner,” she protested, clearly not wanting to talk to the girl.
“We’ll still go,” you reassured, “but you should invite her.”
“I don’t wanna,” she said quietly. You gave her your best mom look, hands on your hips.
“Beth,”
“But-”
“No buts, Beth Munson.”
She let out a sigh, making a show of stomping her feet as she walked away. You rolled your eyes at her dramatics. Beth Munson was her father’s daughter. You watched from a distance, proud of your eldest as she spoke to the teary girl. The blonde girl wiped her tears as your girl talked to her, blushing when Beth passed her a single tulip from her bouquet. You pretended to look busy when the two girls walked back to you.
“Mom, this is Eleanor,” she introduced. You crouched down to their eye level, hand extended in a handshake. She took it shyly, palms clammy. “Eleanor, this is mom.”
“Hi,” she greeted, “Beth invited me to dinner. If that’s okay?”
“‘Course it is,” you confirmed, squeezing her small hand in reassurance, “we’re celebrating you guys tonight.” You set out to do just that, leading your family out of the school auditorium, listening to Beth’s overjoyed chatter and watching Eleanor slowly step out of her comfort zone. You wished you could have had a Beth at one point in your childhood, maybe then it wouldn’t have been so lonely. You pushed that melancholic feeling aside, just being proud of your little girl.
You were halfway out the door when a flushed looking blonde woman came running in, baby boy in her arms. She tried catching her breath as her eyes moved around the room, visibly deflating when she noted its vacancy. Eleanor lit up, letting go of Beth’s hand and running to the woman. “Mommy!”
The woman, dressed in a waitress’ outfit, welcomed her into her arms, hands on her back. “Hi, Nora. I missed it, didn’t I?” When Eleanor nodded, her mother sighed. “I’m sorry. Work ran late. You look so pretty, though, baby.”
“It’s okay, mommy,” Eleanor reassured, “you’re here now.”
You decided to step in and introduce yourself, hoping you could find the right words to comfort the woman. “Hi, I’m Y/N, Beth’s mom. You know, Steve has a video of the entire play, he’ll be more than happy to show you during dinner, right, Steve?” The mentioned man looked up from where he was cooing at his babies, baby giggles coming out of the stroller, and joking around with his eldest girls. At your question though, he nodded, sending the woman a nod. When she gave him a grateful smile, you remembered you hadn’t formally asked her to dinner, and you gasped. “Oh, I should have asked if you wanted to come with us to dinner? We won’t do anything too fancy, just a little something to celebrate the kids.”
“Oh, I couldn’t impose,” she denied, shaking her head, “I appreciate you asking. But if Eleanor wants to go, she’s got my permission.”
The ten year old tugged on her mother’s skirt, “mommy, can you go, please? I wanna tell you everything. I missed you.” The older woman looked conflicted, eyes moving from her daughter to your family. Eventually, she sighed.
“If it’s not a bother,” she conceded, “but only if you tell me all the details, Nor.”
Eleanor cheered, running to Beth and grabbing her hand. You allowed Eddie and Steve to walk out first, hanging back to converse with the woman. You noticed the bundle of blue in her arms, a sleeping baby boy nestled amongst the sheets and your heart burst. “He’s adorable. I have an eleven month old, Lola.”
She blushed, brushing a finger across his cheeks, “thank you. He’s Issac. And I’m Connie. Silly me, didn’t introduce myself.”
“Don’t worry, I get it. It’s one of the many joys that come with being a new mom. It’s happened to me more times than I can count.” You giggled, stepping into pace with her as you asked her questions about her kids. You had a feeling you would come to know this little family better as years passed, especially with the budding friendship your eldest girls shared. Dinner with the entire family went better than expected, the kids enjoying themselves while both Tulip and Connie watched a playback of the video on Steve’s camera. You especially liked how Beth and Lola seemed to be joined at the hip, Beth introducing her little sister to her newfound friend.
Other times of course, the two still acted like sisters even despite Lola’s young age. It was exactly what you would expect them to be like considering all Tulip had told you about how her two girls often bicker. Only now it was a ten year old fighting with a one year old. You wouldn’t call it pathetic per-say, but it was definitely pointless, Lola didn’t have any idea what her sister was talking about half the time.
The baby got lots of new toys from all of her loved ones for her birthday. Everyone had piled into the cabin and thrown the biggest party to celebrate her turning one. But upon being introduced to so many new toys, she tended to get a little overexcited. That excitement paired with her recently learned skill of throwing things, got messy fast.
Later that night, after the child’s birthday party, you and Eddie took to cleaning up the cabin, disposing of any shredded wrapping paper or anything else that needed to go in the trash. Beth was tasked with sitting with her sister just while you did your task, making sure she didn’t hurt herself or anything like that. But just because she didn’t hurt herself, didn’t mean she didn’t hurt others.
One of the plastic toys startled your eldest when it came hurtling at her. She barely had the chance to dodge it, squealing at the near-miss. “Lola! Why would you do that?”
The aforementioned girl turned to her older sister with wide eyes, babbling at her angrily at her exclamation. Beth had her hands on her hips, glaring at her. “We don’t throw things, Lola.” The baby only threw another stuffy at her, hitting her square on the stomach. Beth gasped, picking her little sister off the floor and setting her on the couch, standing in front of her. “You’re being mean.” Lola only responded by babbling angrily in response, small face contracting into an angry expression. Beth did not appreciate her petulance. “I don’t know why you’re angry with me, you’re the one who threw something.”
By this point, you and your husband had ceased your cleaning, opting to listen to the two girls instead. Beth was a little too old to be arguing with the freshly turned one year old, but neither of you wanted to step in, the sight too comical to miss. Both girls had a look of contempt on their faces, Beth’s scolding being drowned out by Lola’s broken baby talk. You and your husband shared amused looks, shaking your heads as you listened in. Despite the absolute chaos you knew you were bound for, you wouldn’t have changed your life or your girls for anything.

on today’s oc hyperfixation we have:
high school freshmen, katy sullivan
Tumblr media Tumblr media
the time between the events of summer 1985 and march ‘86 is… difficult. an adjustment period might be the best way to describe it
bc what do you do when the only two people in the whole world who can truly understand you are on the other side of the country? like, yeah, max is her best friend too (mike, dustin, lucas ofc) but her bond with will is different and el? el is the only person who understands what it’s like to have powers she can’t control and when things start to change she’s worried shitless
like okay yeah she’s had the pyrokenesis thing for going on a year now and she has a hold on that but now she’s having visions? or are they dreams? she isn’t sure, but she also knows better than to have that conversation over the phone. and here’s the thing: max is having a hard enough time with her grief as is, and the last thing katy wants to do is burden her friends. so, she just… buries it (is it genetic? yea, we think so. exhibit a: mrs. debbie sullivan, exhibit b: beth sullivan exibit
her time is split between max and the boys, but increasingly so max has been blowing her off and shutting her out. and there’s only so far she can reach for her before it’s up to max to accept it
she is the only girl in hellfire club. and as a tomboy whose only real friends were boys until she met elmax, well, that’s no challenge
katy is a tomboy but she has also come more into her own and found her own sense of style (with the help of her older sister ofc) and let me tell you, bby girl loves a thrift store. dresses like stevie nicks
“kathy, don’t you think those sleeves are a little too flammable for you?” “god, Beth, it’s called fashion! you of all people should know that” “ok but if it catches on fire, i’m not buying you a new one” (spoiler alert: she did)
she is not afraid of eddie munson and i’ll tell you right now, she will go toe to toe with him–no hesitation, if he’s being a dick
especially in that lunch room scene s4 e1. because lucas has been her friend since the dawn of time and eddie? who the fuck does he think he is? lsorry but she is simply afraid of No Man after a year trapped in the ud. especially one defeated by the anerican public school system (a/n: eddie, i love you, these are katy’s words not mine)
she is front row at all of lucas’s basketball games, even if she hates organized sports. because she loves her friends and being away from them for as long as she was, nothing can detract from that now. so if it’s a championship game? yeah, sorry, eddie, but she will watch lucas warm that bench come hell(fire) or high water. he can suck her dick, honestly (and she told him as much)
wait til you see what happens when she finds hellfire club in that parking lot after they stood lucas up
if she hears One More Time how susie is fucking amazing she is going to set dustin’s stupid hat on fire bc !!! who is this bitch really and it’s not like she still has a crush on her best friend or anything bc that’d be weird… right?
she’s a huge fuckin nerd (affectionate) and apparently being behind an entire academic year was not going to stop her from making it high school with her friends. good thing she decided not to skip the first grade when they asked her to
and so what if she’s been forced to attend counseling sessions where she has to pretend she spent a year in some loser weirdo’s basement and not a cold, fucked-up version of hawkins?? miss kelly can fuck off bc she’s fine!! she is! she just doesn’t like the lying and smiling at this adult who doesn’t know anything
bonus note: she will complain about how disgustingly affectionate stethany are, but she loves it every time she wanders into her living room and they’re having a movie night, cuddled up on the couch bc beth is happy and it’s normal and steve lets her rent out r-rated movies and steal from the candy stock at family video

stepping stones to hell ch. 6 (ronance fic)
hello!! all previous chapters can be found here!
.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.
Robin couldn’t describe exactly how she felt but it was almost as if she felt lighter. She had been so scared but now that she had said it and now that she knew everyone else was going to know she felt so free. She was no longer keeping secrets about herself.
She had woken up the next morning in a great mood. She didn’t even contemplate sleeping in. Instead she got up, showered then started her laundry. She cooked up some ramen she had in her pantry and brewed some coffee. So far she had been fairly productive.
Today was her last day of break, which was bittersweet because it was so short but she couldn’t deny she was excited. She really did love touring.
Robin grabbed the pile of mail she had scooped up from the floor when she had arrived home and threw on the dining room table. It was better to go through it now because she would have another pile when she returned.
Most of it was junk so it went straight into the trash. Grocery coupons, car lot sales, more grocery coupons. There was also the movie theater listing that she had subscribed to. She shuffled the stack, looking for the recent one. Maybe she could see a movie.
Toward the bottom of the flyers was the current week. She scanned the list of movies. Jurassic Park was on there and Robin couldn’t help being excited, “Yes!” She shouted, wiggling the paper. She had wanted to see the movie so badly when it was released but they had been touring. It seemed as if they had brought it back to show again which was great news.
It was currently noon and the next showing was at five. She wondered if Eddie and Steve would want to go but knew they preferred staying home when they were able to. She could ask Gareth but she knew he would be spending time with Beth. She wondered if Nancy was free or if she’d even want to go. Would it be weird to ask her? They were friends, right? Technically?
She pulled the phone off the receiver then punched in Steve’s number. “Hello?” his voice came from the other end.
“Mmm, not you. Let me talk to Eddie.”
“Wait, what? What’s that supposed to mean?”
Robin leaned against her counter, pinning the phone between her shoulder and ear. “Nothing. It’s just that I have a question. If I ask you, you’ll tell me no and to just come over for dinner. We need space.”
She could hear Steve scoff, “Who is it?” She heard Eddie in the background.
“Give him the phone, Steve.”
“No. I’m your best friend. Ask me.”
Robin used her free hand to pinch the bridge of her nose. “Fine. Would it be weird to ask Nancy to go see Jurassic Park with me? Are we considered friends?”
“Well, I mean I guess but…” he trailed off. Robin had already predicted his next words. “Wouldn’t you rather come here? I’m cooking lasagna and we are gonna play Battleship later.”
“See, I knew this is what you were going to say. Lemme talk to the other one.”
“Are you sick of us?” He asked, pretending to be offended.
“What? No, I just- I really want to see the movie. You know that. I told you that. Let me talk to Eddie.”
“Hmmm, I don’t think so.”
“Steve,” she warned.
“Hmmm.”
“Fine, I’m gonna say it. Eddie hates lasagna.”
She knew she accomplished what she intended because she could hear both of them now. “You hate my lasagna?”
Eddie was quick to respond, “What? Me? N-no, I love lasagna. Robin!”
“He doesn’t hate your lasagna. He hates all lasagna. He’s just too nice to say it.”
“Well, fine. I guess I’ll cook something else,” Steve grumbled but she heard the phone get handed off.
“What was that for?” Eddie chided.
Robin sighed, “He wouldn’t let me talk to you. Now. Are Nancy and I friends?”
“I mean, you’re both adults and get along… It’s not like you have to see someone everyday to be considered friends.”
“Do friends ask friends to the movies?”
Eddie laughed, “I think you’re overthinking it. I mean, hey. I get it. Wheeler’s cute. You’re nervous. But for what? You’re allowed to have friends? It’s not weird to ask friends to hang out. The worst that could happen is she says no because she’s busy.”
“You don’t think she’ll think it’s weird?”
“It’s hard having friends in the industry. Nancy works in media. She gets it. The only way it would be weird is if you make it weird.”
“That’s my specialty. Not to mention she dated my best friend.”
“Okay, and? If Steve and I were to break up you’d still be my friend right? You’re allowed to be friends with Steve’s exes. They are your friends too. Just ask her.”
Robin took a breath. This is exactly why she wanted to talk to Eddie. Steve was her very best friend but Eddie understood exactly how her brain worked and tortured her because he was very similar. “You’re right, thanks, Eddie.”
“No problem. Now, I have to get off here and go convince Steve I actually love lasagna. Stop calling my house to cause problems.”
“I heard that!” she heard Steve yell in the background before the line went dead.
Robin pulled the piece of paper Nancy had given her with her phone number from the kitchen drawer. She starred it for a moment. It is not weird to have friends.
Before Robin could convince herself not to, she dialed the number.
It rang a few moments before she heard on the other line, “Hello?”
“Nancy? Hey, it’s Robin!”
“Oh, Robin. Hey! I wasn't expecting you to call so soon. Is everything okay?”
“What? Oh, yeah. It’s fine.” Robin leaned against the counter, trying to play it cool even though she was completely alone in her home. “I just, well, they brought Jurassic Park back to the theaters. I missed it when it came out because of tour and I was really wanting to go. Eddie and Steve are busy and I am just wondering if you’d be interested in going?”
“Oh! Sure! Uhm, what time?”
“It’s at the theater close to Petey’s at five.”
“That’s perfect. It gives me time to wrap up some writing and shower. Would you mind picking me up? I let Mike use my car for the weekend because his is in the shop.”
Robin grabbed a notepad from the drawer, “Yeah, of course! Tell me how to get there.”
She scribbled down the directions as Nancy explained how to find her house. “Alright then, I’ll see you at four thirty?”
“Yeah! I’ll be there then. Bye, Nance!”
“Bye, Robs,” Nancy laughed and shortened her name the way Robin had done for her.
Robin hung up the phone then fist pumped the air. She was so excited to see the movie but also equally excited to see Nancy again. It was odd. She had thought about Nancy since she had left Hawkins but never reached out or asked about her. She should have known Steve was staying in contact. All this time she could have had another friend. A female friend at that, which she desperately craved. There were some things the guys just didn’t understand.
She finished off her mug of coffee then groaned. Now she had to find something to wear.

Temptation Tuesday
Once again have to mention how much I love this new tag game created by the lovely @honestlydarkprincess. Thanks to this tag game I actually was inspired to create one my temptations and its very exciting!
Rules: share something about an idea you have/something that's speaking to you/an au you'd like to see and are considering writing/ ect. Basically anything that is tempting you away from your current wips!
I was tagged by @ebdaydreamer so here are few ideas that have come to me recently
Yellowstone AU: The Diaz Ranch. Eddie and Buck are kind of like Rip and Beth, but not really. They met on the Diaz ranch when Buck was saved by Bobby after running away. Eddie and Buck fall in love, but then his sister discovers the relationship and tattles to their dad. Buck is sent away to work on another ranch, Eddie tries to adhere to what his family wants for him and starts dating Shannon. She becomes pregnant, Eddie enlist. Eddie comes back after the helicopter crash, Shannon doesn't run, but she does move back to town and has a very strained relationship with Eddie and Christopher who remains on the ranch. When Eddie returns, he discovers that Buck is back working for his dad's ranch along with his new friends Chimney and Hen. Buck's long lost sister Maddie is also there as the ranch's own personal vet. His dad only brought Buck back on because he is the best damn horse wrangler and swore up and down that nothing would happen between him and Eddie. Buck knows about Shannon and Christopher, believes that Eddie never truly loved him and is heartbroken. Eddie doesn't know that his dad sent Buck away, that Buck left on his own. Ramon wants Eddie to take over the ranch, making him work alongside the ranchers, including Buck. Ensue the drama and the two boys falling in love all over again.
The Voice different meeting Au: Buck and Eddie are Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton. Eddie is a country artist, Buck pop rock? Like Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift, and Adam Levine type music. Both are coming out of horribly ending long term relationships when they are tapped to judge the Voice. They fall in love and start making music about each other. Even make a song together. The world is freaking out over Buddie, paparazzi go nuts when ever their out together, new outlets have very inside 'dish' and so on.
A possible continuation of my soon to post (keep on the look out!) 6x16 coda future fic. This coda somehow went from like a quick 500 words to 2K. Doesn't sound like I alot, but I literally started it out like a little blurb like my previous codas lol.
Grimm Buddie AU: Eddie is a Grimm and Buck is wesen. (pronounced with a V).
A different Wolf! Eddie and Witch! Buck. Except this time Eddie is given a prophecy as a teenager by another witch about his future mate.
Alright hope that is tempting enough! I am off to finish my coda and I will be posting soon, and not just here. Its big enough that I'll be posting to AO3, so keep an eye out!
No tags from me! Everyone I would like to tag has been tagged! But I would love to see everyone's temptations! Happy Tuesday!

What would you (mun) yell in the middle of a crowd to find them? What would their best friend and/or romantic partner yell?
Me In The Mirror || Accepting
I. What would you {the mun} yell in the middle of a crowd to find them?
The easiest thing I could say to rile her up is to shout "The Admiral is a good father!" And then sit back and wait for her to make her way to me so she could stab me in the face. The fun fact is, at 5ft8, I am tall enough that likely she won't be able to reach. But it would be funny to watch her try. >.> ~*~
II. What would her best friend yell in the middle of a crowd to find her? Her hanai-sister knows all too well just how deeply the sibling rivalry goes between Beth and Andy, how competitive the two of them are/were with each other, and to what lengths one sibling will go to obliterate the other. But she also knows that Beth would gleefully murder someone for him, too. So there really are choices here. A: "Hey Beth! Andy's RIGHT." B: "The Lion, the Witch, The Audacity of this Bitch, did you hear what she said to him?" <implying an ableist slur directed at Riley> ~*~ III. What would a romantic partner yell in the middle of a crowd to find her? I literally have no idea, personally, as I don't think that's ever happened in all the years I've been playing her. But I might assume, again, one of two things: I. "Eddie Vedder sucks!" {Actual fighting words} to which she'd be forced to reply "An' from wha' I hear? You swallow, so what's your point?" II. "Chee-hoo!" 10000% guaranteed {guaran-ball bearin'} to get picked up and yelled back. Once upon a time it was a battle cry signifying battle readiness or the killing of an enemy in Hawai'i and Samoa, though in modern times it's an expression of joy, happiness, or excitement.

February 1985, Cherry Lane
3:17 pm. The dungeons and dragons curse, she liked to call it. Whenever someone brought D&D up to her in any capacity, no matter if her sister was around or not, she would be roped into babysitting a bunch of smelly pre-teens. (This time it was an offhand comment made by Jeff in her sixth period science class)
“Cyn, please?” Bethany pleaded for the third time this hour. “Mike’s dad doesn’t want us over there for another session, and we have the only area big enough.”
“You mean we have less supervision here. Since mom went back to work.”
Bethany shrugged as her sister sighed and turned the tv off, “please?”
“It’s my only day off this week.” Cynthia muttered to herself. “Fine. But you have to clean whatever mess you guys make down there.”
Not even thirty minutes later, Cynthia’s car was filled by three boys, two girls and they had just finished descending their madness upon Bradley’s Big Buy to get snacks and pizza for the weekend. They were loud and caused a ruckus in the store and she was just glad to get out of there with her dignity.
After piling the kids into the car, she almost turned the wrong way and they all let her know about it, “We gotta get Will!”
As they pulled up to the Byers’ place, she put the car in park and looked at the kids in silence, no one was getting out. “Are you guys serious? Go get him.”
“You have to talk to Joyce.” Mike informed the older teen.
She grumbled as she got out of the car, and walked up to the front door. She put on a small smile as she knocked twice.
“Cynthia, hi.” Joyce greeted, opening the door.
“Hey, I came to get Will, if that’s alright.” She gestured to the car where the five kids could be seen arguing animatedly, “Beth is hosting for their session this weekend, something about Mr. Wheeler wanting them to get out of the house?”
Before Joyce could even respond, Will went zipping between them and jumped into the car, clearly an overfilled backpack swinging onto his back.
“That’s fine, is your mom home?”
“No,” Cynthia drew out. “But I don’t have to work until four tomorrow and if they run extra long, I’m sure Tim could watch them.”
“Okay, I’ll have Jonathan drop by after he gets off work to see if Will needs anything, is that alright?”
“Yeah, that’s cool. They probably wanna get outta here, I’ll see you around.”
Five hours later and they were starting to drive her crazy, they’ve gone through half their snacks and had three pizzas already. She heard another set of screams from the basement and she got up and padded to the kitchen landline and flipped open the phonebook.
Finding the number, she typed it in and held the phone to her ear, listening to the ring for a minute before a man’s voice came over the speaker, “Hello?”
“Hey, is this Eddie?”
“Yeah?” The other line sounded skeptical, “who’s this?”
“Cynthia.”
It was quiet for a moment. “Oh, Moose. What’s going on?”
“Okay,” she chuckled, “not to be a sob story but I’m fuckin stranded at my house with a gaggle of middle schoolers and I really need a smoke. If it’s not too inconvenient, could you run me a bag?”
“Sure, what did you want?”
“I got… ten bucks. So, what? A quarter?” She answered.
“Alright,” He answered, she heard keys shuffling on his end, “Cherry Lane, right?”
“Yeah, thanks, dude.”
“See you in a bit.”
“Mmm-hmm.” Cynthia replied, hanging up the phone before going back to her bedroom.
Twenty minutes later, Cynthia was in the middle of her Blondie cassette when she saw a pair of headlights flash through her window, signaling that someone just pulled into the driveway. She rolled out of bed and grabbed one of her dad’s sweaters and went out to the living room.
Expecting Eddie to be outside, she was surprised when she opened the door to see Jonathan Byers. “Hey, I forgot you were dropping by.”
“I was late.” He muttered.
She widened the door for him to come in and she spotted Nancy coming up the walkway with a smile.
“Hi, Cynthia.”
“Hey, Nance,” Shutting the door behind the couple, she continued, “the kids are in the basement. The last door on the right in the hall will have the stairs.”
✰✰✰
Eddie pulled up to the Moose’s house, Jeff in his passenger seat. They both spotted an extra car parked in front of the house. “Weird,” he shrugged to his friend and bandmate before trying to get out of the van.
Jeff laughed in response before stopping and grabbing the older boy’s arm, “I think she’s coming out.”
Settling back down, he watched Cynthia walk between the parked cars and approach the window he just rolled down.
Leaning against the van, she laid her forearms over the opening, “hey guys, thanks for comin’ out.” She quickly held out a bill between her fingers.
“It’s no big deal. Jeff needed a ride home anyways.” Eddie shrugged once again, passing a baggy into her hand that was still resting in the van. “Actually, Moose, I heard some shit about you today.”
“Oh shit.” She laughed, keeping one hand on the van as she leaned away and put her weed away. Fumbling with something else in her pocket, she tried to change the subject, “do you want some candy?”
“Don’t try to change the subject.” Eddie smiled at her as she leaned back against the van, defeated.
“Fuck,” she groaned. “First, what did you hear?”
“Apparently Hopper chased you down for being… ‘drunk and disorderly’ out on Kerley last night.” He explained as Jeff laughed in the other seat, the younger boy knew the actual story, hearing it from Cynthia in their shared class.
The girl hung her head in shame.
“It’s all good, Moose. It’s happened to the best of us.” That made Jeff laugh even more.
“Sucks you believe that, Munson.” She finally responded, “I wasn’t drunk and disorderly, alright? I was walking home, extremely sober, from the Wheelers’ after Nancy’s mom snitched on me.”
“That’s it?”
“Yeah, it was past curfew so he had to pick me up. That and I’ve been out of the house since Sunday.”
“You’re not home a whole lot, are you?” Eddie asked, slightly concerned.
Cynthia deflected with a laugh and a shrug, “do you want some candy? Last offer.”
“I’ll have some.” Jeff spoke up, holding his hand out.
Reaching over Eddie and handing their friend a small candy bar, Cynthia turned her attention back to the metalhead, “What about you, Eddie? Want some candy?”
“Yeah, of course. Got any chocolate?”
“You’re shit outta luck, dude, I got a sucker or sweethearts.” She laughed, fiddling around in her pocket once again.
Defeated, Eddie set out his hand, “I’ll take the sucker.”
“A sucker for a sucker.” Cynthia laughed, handing him a red, heart-shaped sucker. “See you guys around.”
They watched as she walked back up to the house before turning the van back on. “What’d you get?” Eddie asked his friend when he heard him eating the candy he just received.
“Laffy Taffy.”
Nodding, he didn’t believe his friend. “Sure. Taffy? Jeff, you have braces.”
“I can indulge.” He lied, trying to stop the older boy from wrestling his hand open to find the wrapper.
Eddie was victorious, “a snickers? Jeffrey, I think Moose is playing favorites.”
June 1985 Forest Hills Trailer Park
2:43 pm. Eddie trudged out to his van in the late June heat. He was currently thankful for his KISS shirt that he cropped so the edge of it sat right above the waistline of his jean shorts. After he got in, keeping the door open, he took some time to dig through his cassettes. Ultimately deciding on Blizzard of Ozz before sticking a cigarette between his lips and starting his van to limp to the more experienced mechanics.
Speeding up the road, he spotted a familiar station wagon turn onto the road. Slowing down to let the car pass on the narrow street, he was met with Moose. Wallace had told him the day before that she was asking about him. Eddie’s friend seemed exasperated about the topic.
Setting the cigarette down, he cranked his window open as the driver of the opposite car slowed down by him, “What’s up, Moose?” He leaned out of his van, disregarding the heat.
She seemed unprepared as she shuffled to mirror the older boy, “I heard from Wally that you were back in town and I was out today so I wanted to drop by to see if you had any?”
The boy laughed and ran a hand through his messy bangs, “yeah, I have to go see my guy and get some. Could you give me a ride?”
“Um, I— yeah, that’s cool.”
“You sure?” he asked, she nodded, “meet me at Bell’s Auto on Pine? I have to bring this beast in.”  He patted the door for good measure.
“Sure thing.”
✰✰✰
Eddie slowly pulled into Bell’s right in front of the garage doors and was surprised to see Moose already there, moving bags from the front seat and setting them into the back. When did she pass him up?
He got out and watched as she pushed a cooler onto the back seat, “How’d you get here so fast?”
She jumped in surprise, somehow not noticing Eddie behind her, with a laugh she replied, “you took an odd turn, I just went up Main.”
“My way’s faster.” He defended his ‘odd’ turn. He felt a bloom in his chest as she laughed at what he said. It was then he noticed that their outfits were nearly similar.
“Yeah, yeah. Whatever you say, Munson.”
The drive was nearly silent, only the wind and the occasional puff of a cigarette occupied the car.
Cynthia pulled her hand in from the outside and glanced at the boy next to her, “there’s a box under your seat, it has some of my tunes in it. Find something you like.”
“You gonna have anything my speed?” He half-joked. He grew hopeful when he looked over at her, a smile on her face and AC/DC on her tee.
“Don’t start, Eddie.”
It took him a couple minutes of picking up a case and looking to see what it was before he found one that was clearly made at home and the cover just said Summer ‘82 (KISS, Crüe, Blondie, Whitney). Popping it into the radio, he waited, listening, until the beginning notes of Sure Know Something started.
“Where did you find that?”
He thought he did something wrong for a second before she turned up the music and started bobbing her head. “It was at the bottom of the box.”
“Good pick.” She complimented, taking a puff of the cigarette between her fingers.
Another 20 minutes down the road, Eddie instructed her to pull over to a small, shaded path, “wait here, I’ll walk the rest of the way and be back in a bit.”
“Okay,” she sighed, relenting. Cynthia wanted to just drive him up but he told her that his guy didn’t like people knowing where he lived. “See you in a bit.”
For the fifteen minutes that Eddie was gone, Cynthia mindlessly flipped through one of her sister’s old wrestling newsletters in between killing the odd mosquito that made its way into the warm car.
The current summer air reminded her of the days that her dad would take her and Beth to swim out at Jordan Lake in east Hawkins. She could feel the sadness building in her chest as she reminisced about days that were long gone; melting down onto the leather bench, she tried to breathe, pushing away tears that were about to spill out.
When she finally calmed herself down, she opened her eyes. They were blurry and when she looked up and out of the passenger window by her feet, she saw a blurry figure. She flinched hard, “son of a bitch.” She gasped as she wiped her eyes and saw Eddie, smiling with concern in his eyes.
Reaching forward, she pulled the lock up and let Eddie in, “scared the hell outta me, man.”
“I could tell.” He snickered, “takin’ a nap, Moose? Am I that boring?”
She laughed as she scooched back into the driver seat, “You’re thrilling, bud. I was resting my eyes.”
“Okay.” He relented, settling into the seat, he put a bag onto the floor by his feet as he watched the girl next to him lay her head on the steering wheel. “You alright?”
When she didn’t respond, Eddie hesitantly put a hand on her shoulder, “hey.”
She peered over at him from behind the hair that curtained her in like a shield, “I’m alright.”
Eddie pulled his hand away as she leaned back against the seat as she gathered her hair into her hands.
Giving a small smile, Cynthia actually looked over at him. “I’m good. Long day.” Tying her long, dark hair into a bun before she started the car, “let’s get outta here, yeah?”
On the way back, Eddie had pointed her to a left turn and continued in the winding woods, he insisted continuing around the lake would be quicker to get back into town.
“So what happened to your van?”
Eddie picked at his rings, “I just got back from Saginaw, fucked up my tires pretty bad on the way back. Also just general wear and tear.”
“You do drive like a mad-man.” Cynthia laughed.
“I’d call it efficient.”
“Whatever you say, Munson,” she playfully rolled her eyes. “What were you doing in Michigan, if you don’t mind me asking?”
He pulled his eyes from the road and watched as they sped through the trees, he rubbed at his slightly tanned arms nervously before he eventually answered, “I went to visit my mom.”
“Oh,” Cynthia readjusted her grip on the wheel and took a glimpse at the boy in her passenger seat, “how’d that go?”
“Alright.” Eddie shrugged, shrinking into himself. “Yeah, I had to break the news to her that I got held back. Again.”
“Shit, man. I’m sorry.” It was silent in the van for what seemed like forever, only the radio playing between them. She didn’t really know how to respond. “At least now you get to finish it out with Jeff and Wallace.” Maybe not the right thing to say but it could be comforting.
He gave a small laugh, “Yeah, stupid might cancel out somehow.”
She peeked at the boy to her right and gave him a nudge on the shoulder. “Trust me, it does. How do you think we got Tim outta there?”
“Oh, yeah. Henderson.”
“Yeah,” Cynthia was caught off guard by his response. “What happened with you guys? He says you were his first friend when he moved to town.”
“I guess. Then he went full dark side on us.”
Cynthia felt bad laughing, knowing it would egg Eddie on in his incoming rant. “Dark side? Wow.”
“Yeah! We were cool at first when school started then he just dropped us.” He started waving his hands as he talked. “Then he started sports and hanging around guys like Bull and Tommy B. We tried to be cool but—“
“How long has that truck been behind us?” She interrupted, looking in the rearview mirror.
“I don’t know, but it does look like a—” He tried to turn around to look properly before Cynthia laid a hand on his arm, making him sit forward.
“Oh fuck, it’s fucking Hopper. Oh shit.”
“Are you sure?” He leaned over, looking in the mirror on his side of the car while shuffling his bag further under the seat.
“Yes, I’m sure. The fuck is he doing out here?”
“He’s a cop, Moose, isn’t it kinda his job to be out here?”
Running a hand through her hair, she kept her speed moderate. “I guess. Shouldn’t he be dealing with shitbirds over at the mall?” She didn’t have another moment to chill out before the blue and red light started flashing on the truck behind them. “I can handle this, just sit there and look pretty,” she tried to crack a quick joke.
Eddie nodded with a quick laugh as they pulled into the dirt and waited for the cops to walk up the car.
“What’s goin’ on, rat-stache?” Cynthia nodded at Callahan as he appeared at her passenger window.
“Really?” We pulled you over and you’re gonna under—” The younger cop was cut off.
“Cynthia Moose.” Hopper greeted, setting his hat on the top of her car. “And,” he leaned down, getting a better glimpse at the guest in her car, “Eddie Munson, didn’t know you were back in town.”
“Yeah, just last night.”
Hopper scanned the odd pair and waited for a smart remark from the Moose girl akin to the one Callahan received. When she didn’t speak up, he said, “Your mom called the station today. Wanna tell me why?”
“I don’t know, man.” Cynthia was genuinely taken aback. “She knows I have the car, I have work tonight.”
“I need something better than that, last time we got a call like this, we found you out by the Pinelli’s up in Merrick Park after six days.” He was losing his patience with the girl.
“Dude, I—“ She was getting frustrated, there was really no reason for this. “I don’t know. I brought Beth to her softball game at noon and that’s it.”
“That’s it?” Hopper leaned down, taking his sunglasses off and asked, “where are you two coming from?”
“Can we keep this between us? She’s not gonna be happy with me,” Cynthia rambled on, “I just got my shit together, my mom can’t know about this. Please, Hopper?”
Jim Hopper sighed and, with a stern nod, told Callahan to go back to the truck.
Eddie got nervous, he wanted to say something but this wasn’t really his situation and he didn’t want to get Moose in trouble for his weed run. But he was stunned even more by how she replied to the cop.
“Skull Rock.”
The cop was taken aback, repeating, “Skull Rock?” to the teens in the car incredulously.
“Yeah, man,” Cynthia replied, becoming more confident in her lie, “why do you think we got a cooler and blankets back there? We had a picnic and.. Hung out.”
“Okay.” Hopper nodded; not really believing the pair but knowing Cynthia’s past boyfriend, he took it into consideration as he peeked behind them into the back of the wagon. “This true, Munson?”
Eddie looked beyond Moose’s dark, pleading eyes and straight at the Chief, “Yes.”
He didn’t want to deal with this, but he found that it was better to deal with Elaine Moose’s calls regarding her oldest sooner rather than later. Sighing, wiping sweat from his brow, “Get back to town, go see your mother. I won’t mention this.”
Cynthia let out a deep breath, “holy shit, thank you.”
“Yeah,” Hopper grabbed his hat and stepped away from the car, “get outta here.”
Eddie also let out a breath as he heard the engine turn over and they started rolling.
“Holy shit, holy shit.” The girl basically chanted as they picked up speed, heading back to town.
“Hey, Moose?” It was his turn to interrupt as he leaned his head back against the car. “If it’s alright, I’m never riding with you anywhere ever again.”
Letting out a quick laugh before she pushed a cassette into the radio, she replied, “Understandable.”

Welp one I thought of already got answered (it was Stone Cold) but uh for some of the others I thought of were: Moxley, Bryan, Eddie Kingston, Shawn Michaels, Rhea, annnd Lita were the ones I thought of ~Cryptid ((...I hope I got Eddie's last name right lmao,, im beginning to memorize him bc of you actually friendo Mitch lmao))
Friendo Chaaaaase! @cryptidofthekeys You got Eddie's last name right so worries! (I'm sorry that it took a second to answer this one, I fell asleep before I saw it <3 )
Jon Moxley - Smash From the teenage dirtbag boyfriend to now, I have a growing soft spot for Mox. (I'm, also, including Dean Ambrose here because he's too adorable and Goober-esque to ignore.)
Bryan Danielson - Pass BWYAN! Silly little goat man. I have to thank you, Chase, for this one because you once pointed out how 'Gender' Bryan is and I can't see him any other way now.
Shawn Michaels - Smash The King of Gender Envy. The OG Brat. With Shawn, I always get stuck between 'Do I want to (redacted) him?' or 'Do I want to be him?' Normally, it's both.
Rhea Ripley - Smash Okie, not to be very Queer but... Mami. I think I became 15% more Queer from watching her 'Elimination Chamber' match against Beth Phoenix.
Lita - Smash Back in Ye Olden Days of the mid-2000's, Baby Mitch had one of their first wrestling crushes on Lita. And it's continued. She's so effortlessly cool and pretty and... everything.
Eddie Kingston - S M A S H With a capital 'S.' There's something in my head that switches off when I see Eddie and I start giggling, kicking my feet and twirling my hair. It's a little ridiculous.

SNJ's Summer Fic Reading Masterlist
Hey there. It might be too late and literally putting this on the day that it is due, but I did a Summer Fic Reading Bingo a month ago provided by @ficreadingchallenge
Initially, I wanted to plan it out better by reading fanfic I don't usually go to, each prompt a different fandom, and having a complete blackout. Unfortunately, life got in the way and as I found out, Archive of Our Own is an interesting site to dig around, but it takes time. Some of the prompts were more difficult to find than others and then the ones I did find, it was with a fandom I had no knowledge about or it squicked me out before I could read it.
Perhaps later on my own, I could go back to this and add the ones I didn't get a bingo on. Or I'll do this again next year and get a blackout. But I made sure to at least get one line of bingo. I seemed to misinterpret the free space as a fic of my choice that doesn't fall into the other categories, so you get an extra fic recommendation. Without further ado, here is my masterlist of fics I read during the Summer on AO3:
Tumblr media
New Pairing: "Tweaking Your Writings" by gnarleez (Mario+Rabbids) - Explicit, M/M, and No Archive Warnings. A Phandrow smut fic that has me flustered! One of the few nsfw fics that I like.
New Author: "polished" by droppop (Disney Dreamlight Valley) - Gen and No Archive Warnings. A nice scene of Scrooge McDuck taking care of the MC that explores his character.
Space AU: "the captains" by Control_Room (Bendy and the Ink Machine) - Teen and No Archive Warnings. A cool space pirate au with Lacie in pursuit of Captain Bertrum.
Short Fic: "Baa Baa, White Sheep, Why Are You Afraid?" by Spooky_Month_Imbecile (Amanda the Adventurer) - Mature and No Archive Warnings. A great scene of Wooly interacting with the Monster Amanda from the game. Love monster characters interacting!
Sports AU: "Late" by Hawkguys_and_Coffee (Avatar the Last Airbender) - Gen and No Archive Warnings. Cute implied Aang/Katara fic of Aang rushing to be on time.
Mythical Creatures AU: "Shining a light on secrets between them" by aroseandapen (Pokemon Black and White) - Teen, F/F, and No Archive Warnings. A cute Elesa/Skyla fic with surprises!
Angst: "regrets" by numbika (My Friendly Neighborhood) - Teen, Gen, and No Archive Warnings. Read anything from numbika for My Friendly Neighborhood content. Writing is amazing. This fic in particular has great characterization and angst.
New Fandom: "Overwhelmed" by SlushieMachine (Welcome Home) - Gen and No Archive Warnings. A nice Welcome Home fic focusing on autistic experiences. Eddie/Frank. I just love this.
Fic With No Comments Yet: "Improbable Dreams" by Senseless_Scape (Nightmare Before Christmas) - Teen, Graphic Violence, Character Death. An ongoing fic that so far focuses on atmosphere and mystery. Maybe has Coraline elements? Can't wait to read for more updates.
High School/College AU: "Come home tomorrow." by GreenAssCat (The Owl House) - Gen, F/F, No Archive Warnings. A nice Lumity fluff fic in a college setting.
Free Space: "Thank you, Pugsley" by Emroy (Dead End: Paranormal Park) - Gen, No Archive Warnings Apply. A nice little fic about Temeluchus after Season 1, episode 10.
Body Swap: "Freaky (Fifth-Dimensional) Friday" by Mithen (DCU - Comicverse) - Gen, M/M, No Archive Warnings. A fic where Batman and Superman swap bodies by a magic bet and must go through life as the other person. Nice characterization and realization.
Podfic: "Don't feed the plants" written by Beth Harker and read by Static_Whisper (Little Shop of Horrors) - Teen, Gen, Character Death. Warning, this does allude to the current events a few years ago. Basically, it puts man-eating plants within our current world told in a news reporter format.
Long Fic: "A Phantomhive in Night Raven College" by Darkspellmaster (Black Butler/Twisted Wonderland) - Teen, F/M and Gen, No Archive Warnings. An ongoing crossover fic with Ciel Phantomhive from Black Butler as Yuu in Twisted Wonderland. Very unique and blends both fandoms together.
Domestic/Curtain Fic: "Plagg's Cheese Tax" by gacenbgirl (Miraculous Ladybug) - Gen and No Archive Warnings. A short and sweet fic of Plagg telling a story to Marinette and Adrien's kids.
Enjoy!

so you want to know the lore, huh?
Tumblr media
(part 1 of ???)
there will be discussions of things like abuse, child abuse, child neglect, domestic abuse, child murder, homicide, self-harm, and torture; these are all mentioned briefly and not further elaborated on, but are still integral parts of the 80s universe, ESPECIALLY with Chuck. you have been warned.
I have my own universes comprised of ONLY my characters, but let's start with the gang I share with Ben first.
Tumblr media
it's the same cast of characters (minus a few side characters essentially) for what I call the Sane/Modern and 80s universes.
the 80s universe is split into two subsections: a story where Elijah is the main killer we focus on and Jack died young, and a story where Jack is the main killer and Elijah died young. I'll go into further detail about the differences between the two in a later post with Ben's help, but all you need to know right now is that I'm usually talking about the story where Jack is the serial killer, aka Jack's universe, because the two main characters (Edgar and Jack) both belong to me. here's the rundown on Jack's universe:
Jack has a total of 15 murder victims that we focus on, them being his twin Eli, his little sister Maddison, his older sister Hannah, his father, Olivia, Leah, Beth, Owen, Alexa, Mason, Jiang, Jun, Noah, Dew, and his son Sal
11/15 are ghosts that possess the home Edgar lives in because that was Jack's dumping grounds for the bodies
Edgar's home used to be Jack's childhood home that Jack burnt down (that's how he got the burn scars and extreme fear of fire)
Eddie and Jack met when Eddie was 18 and Jack was 16, 2 years after Eddie came from France to America
Jack is a very very very abusive partner to Eddie (and later Dew, who dies because she had a son without him knowing)
Isaac, the only biological family of Jack's that isn't dead, was traumatized by the death of the rest of his family and subsequently seeing Jack's (15) half-burned body and dead stare in the hospital
Isaac (8) went on to be raised by his dad alone, Jack's step-dad
Jack disappears after this incident and goes under a new name, Chuck Young
Edgar finds out about the whole murder thing sometime before Isaac and Noah pop up
Isaac and Noah enter Eddie's life and red flags go off in their head when they see Jack and Eddie together
Jack eventually disappears (which is normal for him) and doesn't return for years, leaving Eddie to slowly start to rebuild after the trauma and fall in love with Isaac and Noah, believing that Jack's dead
Isaac and Noah find out about the ghosts, Isaac is horribly confused and upset and joyful to see his sisters again
Isaac and Noah proceed to become father figures to the ghosts as they get closer and closer with Eddie
Jack murders Dew and Sal and returns to Eddie's home, where he ends up killing Noah in an altercation
Isaac, terrified of his brother, flees
Edgar is forced to pick up the pieces and deal with Jack for the next several years
Eddie eventually kills Jack in "self-defense" and has a breakdown immediately after
Isaac returns since Jack has been killed
the ghosts slowly fade away and move on
story ends when Edgar dies
the modern universe is predicated on the concept of "what if Jack and Elijah were normal people and didn't commit serial killings?" the 80s universe is definitely the more fleshed out of the two, given it's been worked on for nearly a decade now. here's the rundown of the sane universe:
set in the modern era
primarily follows the Robinson-Nhat family (which I call the Le Family because of Jack, Eli, Hannah, Mads, and Isaac's mother's maiden name; Maddie and Isaac are full siblings to each other but half-siblings to the other 3)
nobody is dead!!
everybody is younger and has birthdates to match
Isaac and Edgar are usually best friends
Elijah is less "school shooter" and more "edgy young adult who thinks listening to MCR makes him unique"
here's a helpful guide to illustrate the differences (and similiarities) between Modern Jack and 80s Jack!
Jack is less "extreme sadist who commits prolonged torture for his enjoyment and actively searched for new ways to kill" and more "dude who robs people and loves his family"
is more of a sandbox for ideas than anything super story-based
Tumblr media
a big theme of Jack's story in both cases is the cycle of abuse. modern him fights to stop it, and 80s him eventually ends up so, so much worse than his father ever was.
that concludes part 1.
