Administration's WOTUS Rule Muddies Jurisdictional Waters
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers have issued a new definition of “waters of the United States” (WOTUS), which becomes effective on March 20. The regulated community is watching this new definition of WOTUS because it will determine federal jurisdiction under the Clean Water Act. For example, projects involving oil or natural gas development or pipeline…

Okay, i wont vote biden. If trump wins we get illegal trans care in multiple states, stricter border patrol thats only gonna get worse, probably a pipeline to fix gas prices, more bans in florida, more police funding, still no financial aid, more covid denial, more republican jurisdiction actions, AND israel will still be funded to bomb palestine. What do we do. No solution has been provided people just keep saying dont vote and dont think about your future.
anon you really need to stop being so self-absorbed. literally nobody cares that you're voting for biden, in fact most probably assume just by your mannerisms & political disposition. Nobody on the post is telling you not to vote, you're not important or novel enough that your actions take up any mental space whatsoever.
All that's being asked is to not have an aneurysm when people say they're not voting for biden & to stop acting like normal people's decisions on voting is based off of who's most belligerent to them online, instead of their degree of subjectively-experienced engagement with the candidate's promises/track record & whether they believe the candidate will materially improve their lives. Most people dont vote because they don't feel the political process materially benefits them. The only way that will ever change is if the political process materially benefits them. Until then you're yelling at a brick wall.
Anyway
said the same thing in the comments of that post. I've provided this solution time and time again. This isnt even that radical of a solution nor is it something vague and indeterminate 'burn down the system!!!1!!'. Today unionization is in a massive upswing, meaning this is actually much easier to do with much more tangible outcomes than any time in the last like. 40 years. Concrete steps can be taken, today.
Or you could just continue trying to shame and berate the brick wall. your choice idgaf, just go whine somewhere else that's not my inbox

The decision came about two weeks after Hussen met with Linda Thomas-Greenfield, the American envoy to the UN.
She urged Ottawa “to not disengage from UNRWA,” as the organization is known, Hussen said.
“She implored us to continue to engage UNRWA and to provide UNRWA with the support that it needs, in recognition of the lifeline that UNRWA provides to Palestinians,” the minister said in a recent interview with The Canadian Press.

I think the discourse is coming from this idea that there is "over praise" for Aaron. Here's the thing uh.... the news wanted to cover it up we didn't let it bc we knew it was gonna hurt biden. I don't see over praising even palestinians I follow have critiqued the response thanking Aaron but also asking ppl to put this much support for palestinian resistance but to say "I wouldn't give so much as a thought to aaron much less a thank you" okay?? That's your prerogative??? But don't wilfully misunderstand why palestinians are capitalizing on spreading his message and video

hey /gen question, why vote uncommitted and what does that mean?
hey! so basically for the primary election (the election that decides who’s going to be the democratic and republican candidate for the 2024 election) some states have uncommitted as an option on the democratic ballot (the states that were listed in the image i shared).
people who are registered democrat in these states can vote in the primary election and have the option of voting uncommitted. voting uncommitted means you are showing up and using your vote but not supporting any of the candidates (of which i think there are only 3). the candidates being joe biden, marianne williamson (who dropped out), and dean phillips (who nobody knows).
voting uncommitted in the democratic primary is a way to protest the biden administration’s actions regarding palestine and biden’s support of israel’s genocide against the palestinians. this primary should be a very easy landslide win for biden but by having large numbers of his own party’s voters choosing to vote uncommitted it sends a message that bidens actions regarding palestine will cost him a lot of voters in the presidential election and puts pressure on him and the democratic party to call for a ceasefire and to change their handling of the situation.
because voting uncommitted in the primary isnt going to stop biden from winning the primary (he is essentially the only candidate running) but it sends a message that he is losing a lot of support and voters over the stance he has taken on palestine and his handling of it, and he needs every last one of those votes in order to win the presidential election (especially in key swing states such as michigan where he only narrowly beat trump and michigan being one of the states where uncommitted is an option on the ballot).

what a white person fucking take lmfao. god that made me legit sick never say that fucking shit again
i would get how this would be a “white person take” if police brutality decreased under biden; if rampant islamophobia and anti-arab racism decreased under biden; if biden released mexican immigrants from cages on the texas border; if biden decreased incarceration rates for black people; if biden stopped the construction of the dakota access pipeline; etc etc etc. i’m not saying donald trump is a paragon of anti-racism (lol), i’m just saying, joe biden sure as hell isn’t either

As White House Loses House Majority, what is Next for H-1B Visa Program?
The H-1B is a popular and highly-sought-after visa category for skilled foreign workers seeking to work in the United States. It has been the subject of much debate and controversy over the years, and recent changes in the political landscape have added new uncertainties and challenges to the H-1B visa process. I’ve said it before, but I’m not going to get excited until Trump and co. attempt to flee the country. Until that happens we can assume he has a way to escape consequences.

you're right but biden and his administration know threatening to withhold a vote would be a bluff. they know we're gonna try as hard as we can to keep trump out. you're 100% but to them it just sounds like the parent who threatens to "count to three" and its "two and a half! two and three quarters! two and four fifths! I mean it chandler!!"
it wouldnt be a bluff if we all meant it now wouldnt it . but also you did see them freaking out because of the uncommitted voting right like... they are genuinely worried abt it

sorry still mad about that post
how can your response to our government providing military and financial aid to a nation committing war crimes be “how will this effect the next presidential election” and not “this is going to result in so many more innocent lives being lost - what can we do to try and prevent this”

Anyways it's going to be *great* when the passive blame that is already being largely placed on Arab and Muslim Americans (and the many people who just cannot consciously vote for someone who not only actively endorses a genocide, but whose party has spent so much time denying the fact and pussyfooting around the matter even from the most progressive candidates) who refuse to cast a vote for Biden becomes active and vehement blame instead of directing that anger and rage towards the political system that was allowed to degrade to a state where people have been essentially brainwashed to feverishly advocate for a candidate that has endorsed and actively funneled money towards a genocide and has not reversed any of those "Muslim bans" enacted by Trump that they love to bring up and has people at his rallies drowning out cries for a ceasefire with "4 more years" because the other guy will do the same but worse somehow. It's the people's fault, for not voting, of course.
