#livesessionsunday this week brings Billy Idol’s VH1 Storytellers set from 2002, which stands out from the others in that it’s an entirely musical affair that uses the songs themselves to tell the story of the punk icon’s career and influences, rather than anecdotal moments in between. Starting off acoustically and getting heavier as the set moves forward, it’s a mix of his own hits and covers that have a life of their own compared to the originals, a great demonstration of rock and roll range, and above all else proof that age has not slowed him down. Well worth the time, available on iTunes and Spotify. Leg work is better in a quiet environment, so winter is a great time to be here, but seriously considering setting up my own home gym just to avoid people. #gym #health #fitness #fit #beard #ink #tattoos #sunday #legday #comewithmeifyouwanttolift #irontherapy #billyidol #vh1storytellers #2002 #live #punk #rock #alternative #vh1 #80s #itunes #spotify

Eyes Without a Face | Les Yeux Sans Visage
In 2001, on VH1 Storytellers, singer Billy Idol cited the film as giving him the idea for his song "Eyes Without a Face". The song, which has the film's original French title ("Les Yeux Sans Visage") as the recurring background chorus, takes the father-daughter relationship from the film and recasts it as the deteriorated relationship between the narrator and his lover. The song became Idol's first top-ten hit in the U.S.
