One time when I was a kid, I was roughhousing, running around, and I accidentally broke this super nice vase that had belonged to my grandparents. My father spanked me with a wooden paddle for my carelessness, and then spanked me some more for crying. My mom thought he was maybe going a bit too far, so he stopped. That discipline sure taught me to not be so careless, haha!
