What charity work and public service makes Prince Harry's life at risk and needing security? by u/Negative_Difference4
What charity work and public service makes Prince Harry's life at risk and needing security? This post is related to this snippet from this post (https://ift.tt/vwl4oCm SaintMeghanMarkle/comments/1b24rkz/harold_is_a_lying_liar_who_lies_the_judgment/)https://ift.tt/cp3x0GC is associated with Invictus Games (foundation international games for war veterans and those serving in the defence forces) and WellChild awards (charity to help support children with long term illness). He is on the board of African Parks and was the President of the Foundation. The foundation lost its charitable status and operates without any oversight. https://ift.tt/OUqCZGV. It also has recently been embroiled in barbaric rape and abuse of the local Baka tribe in The Congo. He is the co-founder of Sentebale (charity to help the orphans of Lesotho). This is the charity where Harry held the 10 month old Keke (rape and torture victim) and vowed to look after her but he never did.He is the patron of Henry van Straubenzee Memorial Fund (Aims to lift children out of poverty through education. Funds are directed to projects in south-east region of Uganda.) But he hasn't been as involved with itHe is a Honary life member of Royal Ontario Museum and Gloucestershire County Cricket Club. These are the causes linked to his time with the Royal Family and I haven't look into Archewell endeavours as it is private foundation. So which one of these causes could cause a risk to his life, which would need the UK government to intervene and provide security including during the time he is in the US?One thing that bugs me with this point and his constant need to connect himself to Princess Diana ... Diana was working with the following causes:AIDS and HIV CharitiesThe Plight Against LandminesHomelessness and PovertyThe Leprosy MissionCancer TrustsI don't know if people were alive during this era ... but her causes were insane ... no white, rich celeb would go anywhere near these types of causes esp AIDS/HIV in 1987. I never heard of AIDs before that, we didn't have google back then or even a computer at home! (And yes there were other royals already involved in this stuff like Princess Margaret support in the 80s and Princess Anne in 1988). The level of coverage Diana gave to this cause to dispel the myths was insane. Same with Leprosy ... there was so much stigma to even touch someone with leprosy esp growing up in India. The landmines cause in Angola ... well the world went crazy. Everyone told her that royals shouldn't be getting involved with political issues. This was in 1997, she died soon after. The conspiracy theories rolled on. Such a shame that Diana rejected her RPO security and only had a personal protection bodyguard. One wonders what could have been if she wasn't so paranoid about life and took the security. (BTW, the bodyguard survived the crash and is still working ... because he wore a seatbelt! How many times have we seen Harry, Meghan and the kids not wearing seatbelts?)How does Harry's work compare to Diana's charity work in the 80/90s? post link: https://ift.tt/vxQu9jd author: Negative_Difference4 submitted: February 29, 2024 at 11:20AM via SaintMeghanMarkle on Reddit

10: Reflect as an interpreter
We learn good thinking and behaviour from our parents, siblings, and teachers when we are young. Through experience we learn lessons of what is right and wrong. In a sense, you are a reflection of all the people that surround you. What you know is wrong is typically what these teachers tell you is wrong, and vice versa for what you know is right. Because they have far more life experience than we do and because we want to avoid making the same mistakes they did, we look to our elders for guidance. Even though it would be advantageous for us to learn vertically from our parents to ourselves, we learn from our shortcomings and improve with time. We can start making our own conscious decisions and developing our own sense of right and wrong as our brains mature and as we get older. We may no longer follow the "guidelines" of those around us since we have learned and experienced things of our own. I feel like I've moved into a new phase of my life lately where I'm much more aware of the decisions and actions I make.  I constantly strive to be the best version of myself because of this. It is human nature for me to make errors, therefore this does not imply that I will never do so, but I will make an effort to always grow from them.
Having said that, I must admit there are certain ethics that I hold myself to. Respect is something that I really believe is essential to having as I grow as a person and as an interpreter. Respecting others is a reciprocal act of respect for oneself. Since I am an interpreter, it is crucial that I recognize the diversity of my audience. Recognizing privilege goes hand in hand with this as well. I have to be considerate of the audience's necessities because everyone has different challenges and life experiences (Beck, Cable, & Knudson, 2018, pp. 133-137). I can create an experience that is meaningful and helpful to everyone in their own ways by bearing in mind that some people may have opportunities that others do not (Beck, Cable, & Knudson, 2018, pp. 130–131).
By recognizing my own opinions and being open and honest about nature and the environment, I want to satisfy my audience along the way. The majority of individuals  who visit nature centres or enroll in guided interpretation activities do so primarily out of a desire or motivation to learn more (Beck, Cable, & Knudson, 2018, pp. 42-46). When I consider the environment and take out all man-made structures from it, I consider how all we have is this earth. Furthermore, everything that humans have made originates from the earth itself. My intention is to make my audience aware of this idea and the significance of protecting the planet we live on. The first step to strengthening our efforts to create a sustainable earth is to educate ourselves and others about the environment.
As I consider how much I have grown as an educator over the last ten weeks, I consider my future goals and the duties that will accompany them. I feel obligated to apply my interpreting abilities to benefit others around me. I want to serve as the foundation on which relationships with people and the environment are built. It does not necessarily need to be an interest in the birds, trees, or bugs, but a growing inspiration from the world around us. One of the most enlightening experiences of my life to date was travelling to Europe, as I have already discussed in my blog posts. I never really wanted to travel till then, unless it was to escape the cold Ontario weather. Today, I have a bucket list full different locations in the world I wish to go see. Not only is visiting these locations a dream, but it has also completely altered my priorities, ambitions, and life path. Therefore, although it may appear to be nothing more than a deep-seated urge to travel, it is much more than that on the inside.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
In a comparable way, I hope that by using my interpretive skills, I might ignite this spark in those around me. By my art, I am able to share my enthusiasm for a subject and inspire others to feel the same way. This reminds me of other professors I've had. Even if I may not be interested in a particular subject, it becomes much more engaging to me when I hear my lecturer passionately discuss it.
As I've already stated, one essential quality for anyone working as a wildlife interpreter is respect. It is crucial that I demonstrate cultural sensitivity to the various cultures I may encounter in accordance with my goal to explore the world. One day, I want to improve my cultural competency so that I may learn more about the various cultures that exist throughout the world. Cultural competency as well goes beyond only being respectful to a culture, but to actively want to learn more about the culture and act upon this desire. By doing this, I will be able to foster an inclusive environment for my audience so they feel respected.
As an interpreter, a learner, and a human being, I will never be perfect.  In any subject, mastery requires focus, practice, and the ability to learn from failures. I may learn by experience and acquire the information I aspire to possess one day by travelling. According to David Kolb's experiential learning theory (Murrell & Claxton, 1987), learning happens through an ongoing cycle of experience, observation, conceptualization, and experimenting. I can also use techniques like self-assessment and reflection in order to improve. These two strategies can lead to increased interpersonal connections, better mental health, and personal growth (Rusu, 2019). The world is always changing and along with the world I am aswell. My dreams and motivations can change at anytime, but what is most important is the way I treat those around me.
For my readers, I would like to know whether you have a period of time in your life that you believe truly changed the direction of your life, much like my trip to Europe did. Was there ever an event that you reflect on and realize that your expectations for the future were different before? What did you feel like after this experience?

The End Of Mankind As We Know It - Climate Change
"It's the end of the world as we know it, It's the end of the world as we know it, It's the end of the world as we know it, And I feel fine" R.E.M - "It's The End Of The World As We Know It"
The Good News: WE AIN'T GONNA DIE FROM MAN-MADE CLIMATE CHANGE!! The Bad News: WE MAY END UP LIVING AS SERFS.
According to a small group of climate hucksters (who profit and gain more power) - unchecked carbon caused by me driving to my son-in-law's house to watch America's Cowboys beat the hapless Eagles every year will increase the temperature a couple of degrees over the next few decades.
Let's cogitate on those couple of degrees for a moment shall we?
A few thousand years ago, Canada and a large part of the northern United States was covered in multi-maga thick ice. To add insult to injury, nature created a lake as big as Lakes Erie and Ontario combined right where Missoula, Montana sits today.
The ice dam holding the lake back was over 2,000 feet tall.
Every 15-20,000 years the dam would suddenly collapse, and a flood would be released with a force equal to 60 Amazon Rivers that would rush to the Pacific Ocean. These floods every few millennia created much of the geography of Washington and Oregon.
Every 15-20,000 years. Over and over.
When the next ice age happens, and it will happen again - Portland, Oregon will disappear in a matter of hours - washed away by the inevitable Missoula Flood - sweeping all the tents, boxes, trash bags, drug needles and street poop down the Columbia River and into the Pacific Ocean.
So even if you buy into the line that by driving petrol fueled cars and heating our homes with natural gas means an increase in the temperature of a couple of degrees - which means we can grow bananas in Iowa… I'm good with that.
Sounds a lot better than wearing four polar bear hides during the next ice age - trying to stay warm while gazing at the eastern horizon fearfully anticipating the next gargantious wall of water.
Or, maybe future elites will plan on stopping that too?
The only for-sure-bad-news Climate Change we need to worry about will take place in a few thousand years and it will be totally unrelated to driving cars or eating meat.
Even in the worst, most scarious scenario absurdias, i.e., the elites are correct and us petrol heads kill all the polar bears and the oceans rise and the Mojave Desert is all of a sudden at the bottom of an ocean… so what? The Mojave was under water before. If it happens, we will just squeeze a little closer together and have some beautiful views of the Pacific Ocean from the west side of the Rocky Mountains. (Los Angeles and San Francisco will be the first to go when the ocean rises - so it's not all bad.)
Look, there are two Doomsday Scenarios related to Climate Change.
Scenario One: The highly touted nightmare scenario that is not going to happen.
Me and my goombahs cause the earth to heat way up, the oceans rise and hurricanes and floods and drought destroy civilization.
Which means that the animals will rule once again and us few goombahs left will retreat to the trees where we will sip Coconut Mojitos and watch the Chimpanzees beat the hapless Orangutans in a game of Coconutball.
Scenario Two: The secret plan to enslave mankind that won't do a thing to stop climate climate.
The more likely scenario is that the elitists are successful in convincing us to give them all of our individual liberties so they can guide us and make decisions for us.
No more constitutional protections, no more free speech, no more free markets that threaten to destroy the environment by us driving our 1964 Midnight Blue Ford Mustangs.
We will sit huddled in our solar and wind powered homes, always cold in the winter, always hot in the summer, eating our government approved bug meal and plant based tuna casseroles.
Only allowed to travel more than a few blocks occasionally to re-elect our wise leaders.
Or, maybe to conduct ceremonial abortions and sterilizing genital mutilations in honor of The Goddess Gaia.
Either way it'll all work out in the long run for Mother Earth because, either we end up living in trees, or we live our lives as serfs ruled by the elite managing our carbon footprint.
The first one ain't never gonna happen.
The second one might happen if we believe the climate hysteria stories and we give up more and more power to the hustlers, elites, 'experts' and the upcoming climate biased A.I. super computers.
I'm an optimist so I'm looking forward to watching Coconutball.

cool bug facts day 555! Dryocampa rubicunda, the rosy maple moth, is a small North American moth in the family Saturniidae, also known as the great silk moths. It was first described by Johan Christian Fabricius in 1793. The species is known for its wooly body and pink and yellow coloration, which varies from cream or white to bright pink or yellow.[2] Males have bushier antennae than females, which allow them to sense female pheromones for mating.[2]
As the common name of the species implies, the preferred host trees are maple tree. Adult females lay their yellow ovular eggs in groups of 10 to 40 on the underside of maple leaves.[2][3] The emerging caterpillars, also known as the greenstriped mapleworm, mainly feed on the leaves of their host maple trees, particularly red maple, silver maple, and sugar maple. Since the caterpillars eat the entire leaf blade, in dense populations, caterpillars have been known to defoliate trees, resulting in aesthetic rather than permanent damage. However, like all other Saturniid moths, the adult moths do not eat.[4]
The rosy maple moth is the smallest of the silk moths; males have a wingspan of 3.2 to 4.4 centimetres (1.25-1.75 in); females of 3.8 to 5 centimetres (1.5–2 in). The species can be identified by their unique, but varying, pink and yellow coloration. They have reddish-to-pink legs and antennae, yellow bodies and hindwings, and pink forewings with a triangular yellow band across the middle.[2]
The rosy maple moth lives across the eastern United States and adjacent regions of Canada. Their northernmost range includes the southern regions of Canada, including Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and Prince Edward Island.[2] Their range extends south along the Atlantic coast of North America to Dade County, Florida, and extends west from eastern Texas through Minnesota.[5]
The rosy maple moth can be found in temperate deciduous forests and nearby suburban areas and urban landscapes.[2][6] Their common name derives from the fact that they can primarily be found on maple trees, including red maples (Acer rubrum), sugar maples (Acer saccharum), silver maples (Acer saccharinum), and box elder maples (Acer negundo). They can also be found on oak trees, particularly turkey oaks (Quercus laevis), especially when they are found dispersed among maple trees.[2][7]
Larvae hatch and live on the same tree through their development, then pupate in the soil beneath the same tree. The larvae primarily eat the underside of leaves, therefore preferentially staying in that location of their home tree. The adults do not eat, so they can have a sizeable home range.[2]
The rosy maple moths preferentially lay their eggs on maple trees, and sometimes nearby oak trees. Since the larvae remain on the same tree upon which they hatched, most larvae feed on the underside of maple leaves or oak leaves. In early instars, the larvae feed together in groups, but beginning in the third or fourth instar the caterpillars begin to feed individually.[8][9] The larvae eat the entire leaf blade and are capable of consuming a few leaves each. Thus, large populations of greenstriped mapleworms are capable of defoliating trees. This damage is mostly harmless and the leaves will grow back.[10] As with all Saturniidae, adult rosy maple moths do not feed.[2]
Female rosy maple moths lay their eggs one day after fertilization. During those 24 hours, the eggs are protected inside the body of the female. Besides this, rosy maple moths exhibit little parental care, as the female leaves after depositing her eggs. Females typically lay around 150 to 200 eggs in groups of 10 to 40 on the underside of leaves of maple trees and occasionally oak trees. Females typically only reproduce once, but in southern regions they can lay eggs up to three times.[2][9] Egg laying typically occurs in the warmer months, with a peak in July, although precise timing depends on the region. In northern regions, one brood is laid between May and August. Further south, two broods are laid between April and September. In Florida, between March and October three broods are laid.[2]
Caterpillars live and feed in groups until the fourth instar when they become solitary. Adult rosy maple moths are mostly solitary besides during mating.[2]
Individual rosy maple moths typically live for about two to nine months. Between hatching and adulthood, the species undergoes five instars. For moths with longer life spans, much of this time is spent as a pupa over the winter months.[2]
Eggs are laid 24 hours after fertilization. The eggs are ovular and about 1.4 mm in diameter, with a thin smooth yellow shell.[3] Eggs hatch after about ten days to two weeks.[2][7] After hatching, a transparent egg shell is left behind.[11]
Rosy maple moth larvae are known as greenstriped mapleworms, and they undergo five instars prior to adulthood, during which their coloration and eating behavior changes. In early instars, the larvae have relatively large black heads and pale yellow-green bodies with faint green stripes. They have two large dark-green to black tubercles on the second thoracic segment and three rows of smaller spines, or setae, on each side of their body.[2][3] The larvae undergo their first molt around 6–11 days after hatching, their second molt approximately 12 days after hatching, and their third molt around 19 days post hatching.[2] In the next instars, the black head becomes smaller relative to the diameter of the body and the longitudinal stripes darken and become reddish.[3] In later instars, the head becomes yellow, and in the final instar, becomes bright red. By the final instar, the body is yellow green with longitudinal stripes that range from white to green to black.[3] The two prominent horns on the second thoracic segment are accompanied by two rows of short spines found along both sides of the body.[2] At maturity, the caterpillars reach lengths of about 2 inches.[12] Until the fourth instar, the larvae live and feed together, but in their final two instars they are solitary.[12]
After about a month, full-grown caterpillars crawl to the bottom of the host tree and pupate in shallow underground chambers. The pupae are very dark, elongated, and have small spines. The pupa ends in a small forked point.[12] The pupal stage lasts at least two weeks and up to the whole winter.[7][11] If the moths pupate over winter, the majority of their lives are spent in the pupal stage.[2] When the imago (adult) ecloses, it has small wings which it has to pump full of fluid in order to expand them and allow for flight.[12]
Adult rosy maple moths are distinguishable by their bright pink and yellow color, although exact coloration can vary significantly. Both sexes have a wingspan of 32–55 mm. Their bodies are woolly, and typically yellow on the top and pink on the underside, but can range to cream or white. Their legs and antennae are also pink. The forewings can be yellow to white with varying amounts of pink along the edges. The alba subspecies, found in Missouri, is completely white or white with faint pink markings.[2]
The predators of the rosy maple moth and larvae mostly consist of birds including blue jays, black-capped chickadees, and tufted titmice. The bright coloration of the wings may serve as a defense mechanism to trick predators into thinking they are poisonous and not edible.[2] The colouration of this moth rather surprisingly acts as a form of camouflage, blending it in with maple seed cases.
Rosy maple moths exhibit sexual dimorphism, that is males and females have different appearances. In the case of the rosy maple moth, males have narrower and less rounded wings. Additionally, while females have simple antennae, males have bipectinate (comb-like on both sides) antennae to sense females' pheromones during mating.[2] The moths become sexually mature at 2 to 9 months of age. Mating occurs at night, when females release pheromones to attract males. Fertilization occurs internally, and females lay their eggs 24 hours after mating. The moths are polygyandrous: females find a new male to mate with each time during breeding season when multiple broods are laid per season in warmer regions.[2]
Adults become active in the warmer months of the year. In a study that compared D. rubicunda with Actias luna, the prevalence of the rosy maple moth was found to vary with changes in temperature, with highest counts at the highest temperature, perhaps due to the tropical origin of the subfamily Ceratocampinae. Their small size, preventing more effective body temperature control, may also contribute to their preference for warm weather.[13] Adult moths are generally nocturnal, preferentially flying throughout the first third of the night.[12]
is this the entire wikipedia article for the rosy maple moth

“Hostile Probe Witnesses Hustled From Burwash,” Toronto Globe. March 1, 1933. Page 1.   ---- Threats Uttered, Says Secret Word From Jail in City  ---- Were Told They Would Go to Asylum, Smuggled Letter Discloses ---- THREE TRANSFERRED  --- Question May Come Up for Debate in Legislature ---- Three men, whose evidence at a recent inquiry reflected on the conduct of officers Burwash Industrial Farm have been transferred from Burwash to the Don Jail here, according to information smuggled through the gates yesterday.
Threatened, Letter Says In writing to a friend on the ‘our side,’ the men were apprehensive concerning the next move. They said before they left Burwash that before they left Burwash they were threatened with ‘bugging’ - confinement to a hospital for the insane.
The three were among the prisoners who, guaranteed full protection testified before Provincial departmental investigators, sitting at Burwash on Jan. 29. They told what  they knew of the death of Fran Smith, a short-term convict, who died in the prison hospital after he been strapped for refusal to work. In the course of the investigation at Burwash and Toronto, Sergeant Vincent and Dr. Gunn of the prisons were criticized by witnesses.
Carefully Worded The note smuggled from the prison held no information and the main facts, statements regarding the transfer, the prisoner’s fear and the allegations they had be threatened with removal to an asylum, The note was couched in languages intended to deceive any persons other than the intended recipient, and it was signed with a women's same.
May Be Debate.  The reported removal of these men may produce some queries today the Legislature. While transfer of inmates from one place of incarceration to another is often locked up as a matter of departmental routine, it is thought that, in such an alleged instance as the present one. Opposition members will demand to know what Order-in-Council were signed. If so, this would bring the whole affair  under the aegis of the Government.
The report of the Inspector of Prisons, James A. Norris, who conducted the inquiry at Burwash and Toronto, has not yet been disclosed to the public and questions may be asked as to why any transfers who made while the probe was sub judica, so to speak.
It may be also that Legislative members will request from Government a clear-cut statement as to the right to commit any prison inmates to a hospital for the insane, and to what extend, if any, the proceeding differed from committal of any citizen of Ontario.

Squirrels do grant big advantages to the ecosystems in which they live. They bury caches of seeds and nuts for future use, then on occasion overlook the place they left the food, so they without a doubt plant bushes and different plants. This results in the enlargement of forests and woodlands.
However, these advantages don’t lengthen squirrels that exhibit up at your home. Squirrels additionally can do a lot of injury to gardens, bushes, and houses. They’ll consume simply about any meals they can find, consisting of ornamental plant life and human-grown fruit, as nicely as birdseed out of fowl feeders. Even though having a clean, gleaming exterior is appealing, there are some legitimate reasons to bring your car in that are crucial to its long-term wellbeing. They'll look at a couple of those in this blog post, so hurry and bring your car to the nearest car wash! Visit them right now if you're nearby Kingston Ontario!
Dead Pest
This one will appeal to anyone who has on a protracted road trip or who regularly drives through an area with a lot of bugs. You will kill bugs while driving; there is no way around it. When you can count the number of insect stains on your car on two hands rather than a few at a time, it's probably time to start looking up the local car wash in your neighborhood. The issue with bugs is that their revolting juices can solidify and adhere to the exterior of the car. Contrary to popular belief, attempting to remove them later may cause your paint to chip or your finish to get damaged. Avoid letting insect poop destroy your vehicle! Visit your neighborhood car wash to find a solution before it gets worse.
Mud And Dirt
Even if you and the boys just returned from your annual vacation to go mudding, your automobile probably isn't too pleased about it. In addition to being unsightly, too much mud can also harm the environment. Similar to bugs, dirt can cause scratches on your car, especially when it hardens. Rust can develop from chips that have turned into scratches. It can also erode your protective clear coat or cause the color to fade, just like most other filth. When you're done driving through the dirt, there's really no reason for it to still be on your car. If your car is muddy and you're in Kingston Ontario, stop by right away for a great car wash!
Birds Landing
Do you detect a pattern here yet? Every item in this list begins as a liquid and eventually becomes solid. It's the same with bird droppings; those white streaks aren't simply disgusting and unsightly; they also harm your car. Bird droppings can bond with your paint and cause chipping when they solidify, much like bug guts and dirt can. It's crucial to get your automobile washed soon away because the damage from these only intensifies with time.
In Kingston Ontario, Your Local Nearby Car Wash
All three of the items on this list are familiar to those of us in Kingston Ontario. There are always reasons to visit clean car wash, whether you're having fun driving through some deep muck, have a lot of bugs splattered on your windshield, or are enjoying the delightful company of neighborhood birds and their droppings.

Surprising Facts About Home Security Shutter
Tumblr media
While security shutters are not yet frequently used in home security systems, they provide homeowners with an extra degree of protection. Burglars typically take advantage of patio doors and windows for easy break-ins; thus, shuttered doors and windows are a better deterrent. Home break-ins are becoming more common in today's reality of home security, leaving homeowners without precious items. Burglars can sometimes get installed beyond security glazing and alarm systems to make your windows and doors more secure.
Here are facts about why you should consider security shutters:
 They Offer Record-breaking Burglar-proof Security
A typical burglar will target a residence with insufficient security.
Security shutters, on the other hand, are more challenging to break into. Burglars are discouraged from attempting to break into your home when security shutters are installed. When a security shutter protects your glass window or door, an invader will find it nearly impossible to smash it.
Install shutters with the added benefits of Bug protection in Ontario from our expert technicians.
     2. Enjoy Unrivaled Fireproof and Anti-vandalism Capacity
Apart from deterring burglars, security shutters are pretty effective in preventing window vandalism. Most burglars begin their robbery attempt by smashing glass windows or doors to access prospective assets before proceeding with the crime. Security shutters are impermeable and stiff. Burglars can't even get close to your windows because of the shutter rollers.
Security shutters can also be used to regulate the temperature. External shutters provide shade to your home, allowing it to stay cool in hot weather. Security shutters are also fire-resistant because they are made of sturdy metal. If you had security shutters installed, an extreme burglar would have no chance of breaking in by lighting fire to your door or windows.
When they are created, the uniform quality of security shutters allows them to endure extreme heat, fires, and vandalism. Every type of shutter available on the market is given a security grade. Home security shutters typically have a security grade of 1, indicating intended for residential use.
3. Aesthetic Add-ons to Your Home Design
Some people believe that security shutters are unattractive and unsuitable for residential use. They disregard shutters due to aesthetic considerations, believing that CCTV and alarm systems will protect their homes. However, not all security shutters are unattractive from an aesthetic standpoint. There are new color-striped shutters on the market now that are meant to match your home's color scheme. With compact pelmet boxes, modern security shutters take a minimalist approach. Security shutters for homes are made of a sturdy, aesthetic material to make your home appealing even when you choose to install them externally. Today, home security shutters come in distinct colors, and you can easily select your preferred color to match your home.

Why you should wax your car?
Regular waxing keeps your car looking like new. Numerous factors, including where you live and how much you drive, will determine how often you wax your car.
Water will "bead up" and roll off of your car when it is properly waxed, leaving behind less dirt and contaminants. A water bead test is the most effective method for determining whether or not your car needs to be waxed again.
To do your car waxing in Kingston, Ontario, reach out to Maple Carwash and Detailing services.
Tumblr media
Protects Your Car’s Paint.
Waxes for cars give the paint of your car a smooth surface that keeps dirt and other particles from sticking. Your car won't need to be washed as frequently as it used to because this makes it easier for water and air to remove the dirt.
Additionally, regular application of car wax can assist in concealing scratches and other flaws. It will not completely cover up the damage, but it will fill in small nicks and shine over them to give your car a beautiful, glossy finish.
Pastes, liquids, and sprays are all possible forms of car wax. Before being buffed off with a clean, soft towel, they are typically applied by hand in a circular motion using a cloth or foam pad. They're best used in a garage or shaded area because they typically need to be applied and removed at a cool temperature. Natural ingredients like beeswax, petroleum distillates, and carnauba make some of the best car waxes.
Shines Your Car’s Paint.
Wax protects the paint on your car and makes it shine. Waxing results in a shiny, new-looking, smooth surface. When you are trying to sell your car, this is especially important. A car that is bright and clean will attract buyers who will pay more for it.
A layer of wax also makes it harder for dirt to stick to the clear coat on your car. This makes washing and rinsing your car easier. Waxing cuts down on how often you have to wash your car, which saves you time and money.
You'll likewise see a distinction in the vibe of your car when you run your finger over it. An unwaxed car will feel rough and grittier than one that has been waxed. If you need to reapply your wax, this is one of the easiest ways to tell. It is also a useful method for determining how long has passed since your last application.
Tumblr media
Prevents Water Spots.
Regular application of car wax aids in the prevention of water spots. Instead of causing long-term stains, the wax coating on your paint causes water to bead up and roll off. This is beneficial because it will assist in maintaining the fresh appearance of your paint job.
The coating will provide protection that lasts longer than that provided by conventional car polishes if you use a product that contains carnauba or polymer-based car wax. However, both kinds of car wax will need to be reapplied frequently.
Make sure your car is completely free of dirt and dust before applying the wax. If you want to get rid of stubborn dirt, tar, or other contaminants, you should also use a clay bar. Apply the car wax of your choice to the clear coat after you have washed and decontaminated the car.
Prevents Scratches.
The best way to avoid paint damage and scratches is to keep your car clean. When car wax is applied regularly, the paint will be protected from dirt, splatter from bugs, bird droppings, and other particles that, when rubbed against the paint, can cause tiny scratches.
Wax can also help cover up small scratches in the clear coat, which can make the car look better than it would otherwise. However, deeper scratches that have made it through the clear coat and into the base (color) coat or primer cannot be covered by wax. This is a much more serious issue that necessitates polishing or other paint correction before the affected area of the car can be repainted.
Wax will both repel some of the chemicals that can eat away at the paint and make the car... much simpler to wash. Because of this, waxing the car regularly is a good idea, especially if it is parked outside or in a harsh climate.

Yo, another Canadian from outside Ottawa here. I hope those protester people stop doing such things to you and your neighbours. It's disrespectful enough that they were honking their horns constantly and filling the place unmasked.
But it's a whole other level of vile that they are pulling down other people's masks. If they feel like wearing masks is a freedom issue, they still shouldn't be pulling off other people's masks; that's hypocrisy. Plus, for all they know, the people they are pulling masks off of could be immunocompromised or something. They seem to have no true consideration for others.
I hope they leave your city alone soon. I don't know if there's much I can do to help, but the situation you Ottawa folks are in sucks.
Honestly it's so frustrating.
Like, this is the capital, we have protests, that's a totally normal if sometimes inconvenient thing, so whatever, you deal. People have a right to protest. But this isn't a real protest, this is just a neo nazi street party. Like this isn't even the right capital for most of the things they want changed, that's mostly provincial regulations, but they are too fucking stupid to know that. And also what they want changed is terrible like fuck off, it's OPPRESSION to get a potentially life saving vaccine to protect yourself and others? You can still choose not to get it you just need to isolate this isn't the end of the world. You call yourself a patriot for wanting the right to infect your fellow citizens with a potentially deadly virus?? Really??? Go to hell.
What's also really irritating is that it is taking attention away to real ways our governments let us down in handling this plague - easy to blame shitty antivaxxers since they are incredibly shitty and also mostly white supremacists but ALSO the government has been defunding hospitals for decades, CERB was inadequate at best and cancelled while the plague is still here, CEWS had nothing to prevent execs from taking it for themselves to give extra bonuses while the rest of us got screwed, testing is next to impossible to get in Ontario now, schools are incredibly unsafe since there is nothing the conservatives like better than defunding education except maybe defunding health care like...antivaxxers are selfish garbage and I despise them but they are not the main reason people are still getting sick.
And most of what they are doing is waaaay more about harassing the residents than it is about bugging politicians. People have this image of Ottawa as being a bunch of privileged bureaucrats and government workers - bitch these are not the people living downtown in shitty one bedroom apartments. These are not the literal teenagers working retail being screamed at and getting death threats for enforcing mask rules. The only people downtown are the people who live there and the ones who can't do remote work and can't afford to miss work as well as many of the homeless, but the convoy doesn't care about that they literally swarmed a soup kitchen and stole food supposed to feed our most vulnerable residents. And even then the mall and a bunch of shops are closed and people are losing their pay many of whom probably can't afford that. The people that are their image of Ottawa are working remote from the suburbs; it's the rest of us that have to deal with these assholes.
And the city has basically rolled out the welcome wagon for them - like, I'm not saying break out the water cannons and brutalise these nazis they way they do to anyone protesting for like indigenous rights or the rights of our communities of colour or against police brutality etc. etc. (though the ludicrous double standards should be noted) but...give them hundreds of parking tickets! They're still ticketing the rest of the city, the rest of us who live here, why not these assholes? What about public drinking? - you're not supposed to wander the streets with open alcohol. Fuckin enforce that. We don't need new laws against defacing statues despite the incredible disrespect to Terry Fox, that will just mean more laws our SHITTY police will refuse to enforce against their buddies their pals the white supremacist shitheads but can use as an excuse to assault protesters of colour, no thanks. Just use the laws that are already there. These twerps have no permit for the demonstration even because they don't know what they are doing. Tons of little fines and citations and they can find out that the white supremacists who organised this are just grifting them and took all the gofundme money. This is Ottawa, this is Canada, we can do obnoxious petty red tape in our sleep. But they won't, because cops love and support neonazi antivaxxers and all cops are garbage. And you just know they will try to use it as an excuse for increasing their budget despite doing fuckall.
Like I am not an amazingly proud Canadian by any means, i know our country has a shitty history and, frankly, present, and i pretty much just break out the pride during hockey tournaments but I never really expected to reach the point that just seeing my own country's flag would fill me with seething rage.

Humans, the pets: pt 5
Abduction log: Pirates
------
“ “surrender your vessel in the name of captain grim’latashock, or face our plasma.”
The transmission ended abruptly as the pirate ship boarded the ship belonging to the woolly bison, Their reptilian claws clicking along the metal floor as they came to the command room.
Reptilian pirate: “Bow to the captain Grim, or you’ll eat plasma bolt.”
The two woolly bison bowed, as the reptilian captain entered the command room. Captain grim looked about the command room, before turning towards the trembling woolly bison.
Captain grim: “Where is it?”
Hequ’lutik: “W-where is what?”
The captain growled as they spoke: “The ship pet that made this masterpiece!”
Captain grim showed the two a data slate, on it was the first art piece that little being made. The adorably crude lines that twisted and turned into a beautiful masterpiece.
Hequ’lutik: “I-I swear I don’t know, if they were on this ship I swear on my life that I would tell you!”
The reptilian captain grumbled, before he barked an order to the thirty other crew men surrounding the Wooly bison.
Captain grim: “search the ship, and if our ship scanners have malfunctioned I want all the cargo abourd to be transported onto the Grey Eclipse. Am I clear?”
Crew: “Yes sir, we will get to work immediately.”
The crew men left the command room, the echoes of opened doors and broken locks filled the hallways as the pirates searched the ship. The captain turned back to the still trembling Wooly bison. And spoke.
Captain grim: “if I find this ‘little being’, I will be slicing your organs myself. Don’t forget it.”
———
The purple lights and loud sirens had stopped, he uncovered his ears to see the door to his room had opened, standing there was what couldn’t be anything but a space iguana. Wearing bandit gear. and holding a plasma gun.
“Hello you ugly reptile, tell me. Where have you placed the ‘kind’ Wooly bison, who feed me?”
The pirate had the equivalent of a reptilian lost in a cute over load, plastered on their face. Too lost in appearance of what must be unthinkably cute. Of course, ‘little being’ took great offence to this.
“Fine then, I shall use my fists to ask you.”
———
He had found it! Surely after the captain sees how competint he is, he will receive a promotion! But it was just so cute, I can see why captain would desire such a creature. They are simply the most adorable, little being I have ever laid my eyes o...
A moment later, crewmen gaff’crola found his head on the floor. Without his body. The little being waddled past the headless body, of the once soon to be promoted crewman. Much to the surprise of the reptilian pirates, little being waddled over to them harmlessly. It was almost as if the little creature wanted to give them an embrace, as it approached. They quickly met the same fate as private gaff, their heads rolling on the metal floor as little being waddled past adorably. How cute...
———
“Three little reptiles chased a human, one was met and lost its head. Two were hugged, and slugged to bugs. Time for the boss, blood be shed. Four little reptiles put to rest.”
He hummed an improvised tune, as he smashed the unsuspecting lizards skulls against the floor. They each dawned that same expression when they saw him, the expression one wears when met with something adorably cute. This, however, only fueled his determination to kill them. At least the wooly bison hadn’t been unfunctional at his sight, or been pirates. Bandits... no pirates. Space pirates. Yeah, space pirates. So he walked towards the command room to find the pirate captain, or chief, whatever he was in space. Who cares what grammar he used.
As he rounded the corner, he was confronted with another lizard pair. This time these two aimed their rifles at him, then they hissed. It reminded him of the gardener snakes back in Ontario, still though these guys weren’t much stronger. As he walked up to them he held out his arms, like he had with the last pair. They held out their arms the same, suspecting to receive a hug only to be slugged in the jaw and find their heads rolling away from their bodies. It carried on like this, boring...
———
An odd tapping was coming from the door, captain grim walked over and opened it. Much to his surprise, ‘little being’ was standing there. And they were adorable, the little fluffy hair on the top of its head frilled around adorably. And the soft squishy skin it had was just so cute, even the protective layering it had was soft and adorable.
After a moment little being outstretched its arms, it looked to be unmistakably asking for an embrace. This adorable little being was asking him for an embrace, SO CUTE!
Captain grim: “You, you’re just so unbelievably adorable! Yes you are, yes you are! Yes yes, come here. Let captain grim give you a hug.”
Little being looked confused, but they waddled over and gave captain grim a hug. Not but a moment later, a loud snapping sound silenced the command room. As captain grim fell to the ground, their head turned in an unnatural position. Little being fell to the ground, Hequ’lutik yelped in fear of them hurting themselves. Before the reality that little being had just saved them, silenced her.
———
Hequ’lutik and a Kafr’litik, couldn’t believe what they were seeing. Little being somehow got out of their room, and snuck past thirty reptilian pirates. Just to give the reptilian captain an embrace, and then a broken neck. Hequ’lutik was the first to speak.
Hequ’lutik: “w-what just happened?”
Kafr’litik: “it seems that little being, defeated the pirates.”
Hequ’lutik: “b-but How? They are so small, and adorable, how did they kill their captain?”
Kafr’litik: “see for yourself, he gave the captain an embrace. And then they twisted the captains neck and killed them. I have to say, that’s an amazing hunting strategy.”
Hequ’lutik: “hunting strategy?”
Kafr’litik: “Well Yeah, how else do you explain it knew that captain grim was bad. It followed its instincts, seems it must be just as adorable on its home planet to have developed such a strategy.”
Hequ’lutik: “did... does this mean it probably killed the other crewmen? Are we safe?”
Kafr’litik: “I wouldn’t be sure, it might have just killed the ones it came in contact with. Best we leave now, and send the little being out to get the rest.”
Kafr’itik stood up, pressing a button on the console and detaching the pirate ship. Before activating the hyperdrive engine, and leaving the confused ship behind.
Meanwhile, Hequ’lutik was shakily trying to command a very confused little being to go get the other pirates. After awhile, it left the command room after the loud clicking of the reptilians could be heard. The brief awws of admiration of little being before loud snaps and blunt blows could be heard.

What exactly is parahumans and why does it seem like something i would get absorbed into?
Okay, at current time it’s actually like 5 different things, which is going to make this a bit convulsed (but yes you should).
The short answer is, there’s this Canadian guy on the internet, goes by wildbow, who started posting his writing online like ten years ago, and it’s very good! Problematically, he picks the most vague and generic one-word titles for his works imaginable, and so for ease of use/laziness, the general consensus is to use ‘parahumans’ as the tag/title for general discussion of his work, after the site name of his first story.
(as a preliminary warning, Wildbow writes two-three chapters a week like clockwork, always several thousand words. So all of these are long stories, word-count wise.)
The stories under the general umbrella are
1. Worm (Posted June 2011-November 2013, 1.68 million words). A superhero (or, well, -villain) story in a world rather worn out and hard down by by the sudden appearance of powers in the ‘80s. Starring Taylor Hebert, a horrifically bullied 16-year-old girl who gains the ability to flawlessly control all bug life within a couple blocks radius. Primarily set in Brockton Bay, a fake city in the NE United States, which has the privilege of hosting the country’s largest gang of super-powered neo-nazis, a man who turns into a dragon when he’s angry, and [spoilers]. Depending on who you ask, it is either about bullying and trauma, utilitarianism, the point at which institutions become illegitimate, how sudden escalation and terrifying violence can solve most problems, or the dangers of texting and driving. Wildbow’s most popular work by a significant margin. Generally agreed to properly pick up around Arc 8 (which is kind of like saying ‘the series really picks up around book 3′, granted). Content warnings for...well, everything?
2. Pact (Posted December 2013-February 2015, ~950k words) Hanging on the exact dividing line between ‘dark urban fantasy’ and ‘horror’, set in the general urban fantasy setting of ‘looks like ours on the surface, but gods, spirits and mages control the world like puppetmasters in the shadows’. Stars Blake Thorburn, a young man who has spent his entire life as the universe’s chewtoy (this does not change). He finds out rather dramatically one night that a) he is his grandmothers heir, b) his grandmother was a powerful mage, and not the good kind, c) his reflection has been replaced with a twin sister that never existed and-most importantly- d) a lot of people want him dead. Probably the least popular of Wildbow’s works, though I couldn’t say for sure. Personally my favorite, but even I’ll admit the pacing is both uneven and relentless. Doesn’t so much punch you in the gut as jump you in an alley and kick your ribs in. Again, probably safer to just say content warnings for everything, but, like, moreso.
3. Twig (posted Dec 2014-Oct 2017, 1.6 million words). The only one I personally haven’t read, but elevator pitch is ‘Frankenstein was a documentary, and developing on Wollstonecraft’s genius has allowed the Crown to dominate the world in a biopunk dystopia’. Stars Sylvester Lambsbridge, a conniving bastard of a child/mad science experiment, along with his siblings/friends/fellow experiments, are used as troubleshooters by the Lambsbridge Academy, dealing with troublemakers and unauthorized scientists. Written with the express intent of developing wildbow’s skill at character development and interaction, which I’m under the impression was a success. Can’t really speak to content warnings except oh boy I hope you like body horror.
4. Ward (Posted November 2017-May 2020, can’t find a wordcount offhand I’m afraid) A direct sequel to worm, and thus essentially impossible to describe without utterly spoiling it, I’m afraid. I like it? But opinions vary. Pacing is, uh, not great, at minimum. Made worse by reading the comments, imo.
5. Pale (Posted May 2020-???, as of last week it was at 115k words). Set in the same world as Pact, but otherwise unrelated, with Pact being very emphatically not necessary to read beforehand. In a break from tradition, Pale has three protagonists, with alternating point-of-view chapters. Avery, Lucy and Verona are 13 year olds in a small northern Ontario ski town, who have been recruited as-and agreed to be-Practitioners by the local spirits and monsters. Granted gifts of knowledge, power and protection, they have been charged with investigating the death of the Carmine Beast, an ancient and powerful spirit of violence and judgement. As might be expected, things aren’t as simple as they appear to be. (Currently updating Tuesdays and Saturdays around midnight eastern time, with bonus material thursdays). Since there’s few enough they can actually be more or less listed, notable content warnings for: child abuse (emotional), implicit/casual racism and homophobia, violence, mutilation, cannibalism (probably a couple more things I’m forgetting).
In terms of whether you click with his writing, I’d recommend this interlude from the end of Pale’s first arc, which is more or less a horror short story our protagonists only pop into and try to interfere with at the end, told from someone else’s point of view.
And of course, if you really enjoy his writing, here’s his pateron.
