lmao not to brag about getting blocked on twitter, but caught the Jesse Singal block for repeatedly explaining to his fans that he's a clown who couldn't read a study without injecting personal bias into it to save his life or soul.

re: my reblog of that wanky discourse confession (which, yes, i know i did the thing i said i wasn't going to do 😔 but i brought the receipts so hopefully?? u will forgive pls)
despite genuinely not liking wei wuxian or wangxian very much anymore for reasons entirely unrelated to his EXR ch 62 shenanigans, i didn't pour all that energy into writing up my response just because i don't like him. i mean, sure, i have indulged in some (untagged!!!) character haterade before, whomst among us hasn't attended that particular devil's sacrament, but my point about wei wuxian and sexual violence has always been about critiquing trends in fandom discourse where he is characterized as the heroic, naturally moral antithesis of villainous, inherently immoral jin guangyao, when so many of their most heinous actions are each other's dark mirror. it has never been about shitting on wei wuxian or the people who enjoy him, or trying to strip him of his status as mdzs's protagonist, or to diminish and disregard the many, many ways he is a victim of injustice, or to shit on his acts of compassion and generosity and selflessness. he is still those things. but his darkness, just like jin guangyao's tremendous capacity for goodness and selflessness and compassion, are also very real parts of his character.
my goal with having these (occasionally very fractious, admittedly) conversations has always been to challenge people to ask themselves questions about why wei wuxian is allowed to be judged by the decisions he makes when he is the best version of himself, but that same grace is never extended towards jin guangyao. the point is always to make people question--just like the jianghu judging wei wuxian before the first nightless city massacre and siege of the burial mounds and removing all the broader context for the reasons behind his actions--whether you, too, have been wrong about jin guangyao.

Hey! Long time no see, i know i said id send you a fantasy i thought you'd like but now ive forgotten almost all of it, oop!
Life happened, and uh, i saw that you mentioned your libido being a bit low, which definitely is my case too (im recovering from depression, now that im okay id love to get my FULL libido back, or at least a good percentage of it) do you have any tips on that?
Also any recs of blogs writing in the same vibe as you? (same-ish kinks would be nice but im specifically looking for queer inclusive stuff!) it makes me 10x hornier than the regular video/photo porn!
Hope you're well, you pathetic little thing!
💫
hi friend!! ugh i feel you. sorry i haven't got any advice on regaining ur libido...we just let mine wax and wane as it will, though denial has been a big help in keeping it steady!
i've heard good things abt ginseng and some other herbs. obvs use at your own risk, mind that some herbal treatments can cross-interact with certain medications, remember that pre-packaged supplement pills are often unregulated and may contain toxins, and be aware that some herbal remedies work better on pw certain anatomy than others, and finally that many herbal remedies considered to increase libido are largely untested on trans folx!
finally, sorry it's taken so long to answer this ask...i'm autistic and have been cataloguing lol. i present to you a list of other blog recs under the cut, organized by general vibe! i've tried to primarily include blogs that do their own posts rather than those who primarily reblog :)
note that my headings may provide some context as to what to expect, but you read at your own risk and each blog will typically have its own trigger warnings addressed in the header/pinned. additionally, i've not tagged some of the ppl below because they prefer that "Men DNI" blogs not interact, and idk if "no cis men" qualifies ahah!
all blogs below are queer- and/or trans-inclusive, if not exclusive! there is no detrans/misgendering, at least I don't think - i don't tend to follow those blogs.
hard kinks (blood, knives, etc; includes primarily-cnc blogs):
@puppy-mommy , who also does general t4t kink content, but does state untagged hard kinks!
@visciousest is someone whose blog i scroll when i'm in a Certain Mood ahah,, i won't elaborate
@hell-hound-bites: just. fuck. would drool on his knife blade.
@snuff-fag: its username should give you fair warning as to how wild its content tends to get, so please browse responsibly.
@condor-bait is taking a break right now, and all my love is with him as he takes care of himself. he made me feel so valid and so fuckable as a young trans person learning to love myself in a new way, and i've always been too shy to tell him how much his content meant to me one-on-one (yes, despite its often-extreme themes!), and he deserves as much time as he needs to heal!
@unwillingfvckpuppy for mostly cnc and medical kinks! if you like his style, but not so much their harder content, he also has a more-tame main blog--i just mainly follow/scroll this one!
@vampvictim: top-tier cnc/intox stuff, plus some great knife/bloodplay :)
@cryptidtid is wonderful and holy shit i follow a lot of hard kink blogs lol. incredible
@cnc-pet: i have been following her for a long ass fucking time lol. they post a lot of really good cnc and stories, but you'll also find a lot of aftercare tips and advice on her blog! i really admire blogs who try to balance horny content with best practices
@dollobotomy
general kinky content:
@excessively-queer . just plain old good shit :) there's a good amt of edging and degradation.
@clouded-king was honestly one of my earlier introductions to the queer/t4t kink community on here and how fucking euphoric it can be :) he posts some hard kinks, but generally it's a balance of a lot of different kinks so read his pinned at your leisure!
@ / cottontailx : just good kinky nsft posts :)
@ / digitalpenetration: often specifically t4t which i love!!
@femmelovefemme can step on me :)
@bigothteddies: could not build this section w/o mentioning him :) they had a big influence on my fantasies for a long time!
@hazelj-xoxo: bigtime want her to cuck me. have followed her across multiple blog deletions lol
@transpidered is forever an icon!
@subspaceemo
@writefinch for great stories and text posts
edging and denial, specifically:
@6irlpet is 1 of my go-to hands-down-pants scroll sessions :)
@droolkink is my inspiration!
@flustersluts does exactly what the name implies lol. a good helping of other kink content too :)
@puppycvnt is a 10/10!
@barkwoofbarkwoofbark: we r denial friends imo!!
@strawbrrysub
@blyssful-abyss
@urhighnessbitch is a big fav <3
non-detrans genderplay:
@butchviolence does amazing butch supremacy stuff and i,,, fucking hell. even just seeing their username puts me in a Particular state of mind ahah. they also post hard kinks so be aware as you proceed!
@mtfdomme: i literally just reblogged from her today lol. tbh i want to be their little stupid pupthing. it's not all transfem supremacy undertones/overtones, but that's what i mainly follow her for, plus just general t4t goodness! also, their general personality? and the way she shuts down people who disrespect their boundaries? huge inspiration for me!
@cuntboydestroyer: take me to the animal shelter and neuter me. good lord.
@the-kind-of-dame is the main inspiration for my recent genderplay post lol
@terfbreaking-tgirl (be warned of dykebreaking if that's an issue for you)
@barbarian-lesbian is my other inspiration for the recent genderplay post
@superiorineveryway
weird asf (/complimentary; my favorite type of shit. robots, ND-focused posts, etc):
@specksizedgoddess has introduced me to things i didn't know, like...existed, and that's saying a lot as one of my special interests is kink! never knew how down bad i was to be a tiny buggirl, nor how much i wanted to be someone's stupid little robot... BIG tw tho: there is snuff and gore content here, so proceed with caution if you don't wanna see that!
@sapphling fucked me up real good with some bird!sub bondage posts awhile back lol
@nobelisha: found them through their ghost cnc post so that's why they're in this category ahah! they don't have a pinned so proceed w awareness :)
@devout-cleric: hierophilia/religion kink, and i'm something of an acolyte of hers :) if you've read this far down you may as well know i'm her Little Lamb anon lol
piss/omo:
@latenightomo
@pissheartmybeloved - their URL makes me crack up every time, plus good content!
@hold-it-a-little-longer - good scenarios/imagines!
@ohmyrashi - (i think) my original intro to omo!
monsterfucking/terato:
@septimus-moonlight was my first real introduction to trans-positive terato and i've never settled for half-fun cis-oriented terato ever since :) mind tags!
@eggedbellies as well!
@bredpun doesn't appear to be active lately but still good for a scroll!
@steamandcream

Intuition
The journey through my AUs continues, today it's my kind of Unilock boys from Guess Who's Coming for Christmas Dinner, but this stands very well on its own as well.
----
“Stop fidgeting.”
“I can’t help it. I look ridiculous.”
“You do not,” Sherlock says, indignant, reaching over to adjust John’s tie. “The suit is perfect. Now stop fidgeting and keep your eyes open. One of these people is a cat burglar and a jewel thief.”
“Yeah, and the rest are bankers and brokers,” John mutters, adjusting his cufflinks. “Find the thief in a roomful of thieves. Like looking for a needle in a pile of needles.”
“Careful, your class prejudices are showing. Now look around and try to look like you regularly spend a thousand pounds on a bottle of wine.”
John snorts and takes two flutes of champagne from a tray, handing one to Sherlock. He takes a sip and hums appreciatively. “At least the booze is good.”
They make their rounds, chatting with several people, and for the first time, John is glad for the hours and hours he spent trying to make nice with Sherlock’s posh family, because he now knows how to use summer as a verb, and he’s learned to pronounce chalet correctly.
“What about this chap?” John points at an elegant older man across the room. “He gives me the creeps.”
“What are you basing this deduction on?” Sherlock asks, taking an unobtrusive look at the man John pointed out.
“Dunno. Something about him. Intuition.”
Sherlock huffs an exasperated sigh. “John, there is no such thing as intuition.”
“‘Course there is.”
“No. What you call intuition is your brain making deductions and drawing inferences from a hundred subconscious clues and disseminating the data to you as uneasiness, because you haven’t trained your brain to observe consciously. You need to learn how to separate the context clues and observe them, systematically and consciously.” Sherlock gestures at the man John indicated. “Look at your fellow here. His shoes are bespoke Italian loafers, incredibly expensive, this make and model are only made in Florence, which just happens to be the site of one of our thefts. His watch is British Army issue, meaning he has military training, further fitting our profile. He’s wearing glasses he clearly doesn’t usually wear, given there are no imprints on his nose, and he recently dyed his hair. He fidgets with his tie like you, meaning he’s unused to wearing one, and what banker isn’t used to wearing a tie?”
“So, what you’re saying,” John says, with an amused smile, “is that I’m right?”
Sherlock rolls his eyes. “Yes, John, you are right. But for the wrong reasons.”
“You’re so lucky I love you, you incurable smartarse,” John mutters, depositing his empty champagne glass on a nearby tray.
“If I’m not entirely mistaken,” Sherlock murmurs as he leans closer to speak in John’s ear, “you especially love my smart arse.”
John grins. “Not entirely accurate. I love your smart brain, and I love your spectacular arse.” John leans closer and kisses Sherlock once on the lips, then murmurs, “How about we get out thief and go home, and then I can show you just how much I love your smart arse?”
“You’re right, you know,” Sherlock says, drawing back a little to give John an affectionate smile. “I am lucky.”
John pecks him on the cheek, smiling softly. “So am I. Now let’s get our jewel thief, and go home.” He makes a gesture for Sherlock to precede him and then follows, making no secret out of his appreciation for Sherlock’s truly fine arse.
Lucky indeed, he thinks, as they walk once more into battle.

I think I'm done with my AU journey, I think I hit them all at least once. I'll double-check, and if you can think of one I haven't done, please drop me a line, but I think I've done them all.
Um.... Bingo?

Welcome !! to syscord out of context !!
[[ TL;DR: We're SOA (it/he), lmk if you wanna be anonymous and we got you, NSFW is fine (no porn tho), no discourse, we're pro-endo, images don't need to be from Discord or free of context. ]]
The collective name and pronouns are SOA and it/its ONLY (hy/hx/he auxillary), NO they/them or it&/you&.
There is already a syscord blog -- in fact it is where we learned the word "syscord" -- but it's anti-endo so thus this blog is born because we think we're hilarious but we often second guess sending screenshots involving PluralKit (especially as an introject) to regular Discord out of context and yk. Non-sysmeds make up a large part of the plural community, come on tales-from-syscord.
That said if you are anti-endo, we. don't care. No matter where you stand, this is a syscourse/discourse free zone, we're here to be silly, not fight.
NOW. Some... guidelines?
NSFW is allowed but nothing too explicit. I'll be using the nsfw and nsft tags though, and pretty loosely.
I will also do my best to tag any triggers (with the '[thing] tw' format). If any post misses something or other that you would like tagged (no matter how specific) you can absolutely ask and we got you.
Per the blog title, context is allowed! You can submit anything you want if it's not blatant discourse or porn pretty much. Again, we're here to be silly.
If you're worried whether or not something will be allowed, feel free to send it to us and ask. And if something submitted breaks the guidelines, we'll let you know too (non-anon asks can be answered privately btw).
Also it doesn't need to be from Discord, really we're just here to have fun, do whatever you want, man. Life sucks but we persist and sometimes we persist by being silly.
ALSO. If you don't want your base account (or any account) to be linked to the submission, just let me know when you submit it (or you can DM it) and I will upload the image for you so you're not connected to it.
Also I don't care what censoring you do or don't do with anything, they're your screenshots. It's largely up to your discretion, we're just the wall upon which you can post your memes.
And I literally don't care who follows me, just don't be a dick and all is good!!
Promo nabbing under the cut (let me know if you want to be untagged).

So, I’m not gonna tag this. Mostly because I don’t want to blow this more out of proportion than it was.
For starters and some context, I am Latina. I am not considered white by the standards of the country I’m living in. But I am considered white in the country I’m from. So I am acutely aware of how racism diverts itself from culture to culture. What you consider the “other” varies from the culture you are speaking from.
I have stated, I am not Asian. The context of what I know, entails as racism in Japan and how it presents its extremely limited. I have read books, watched documentaries, done research but it’s not empirical and that’s something that drastically changes the quality of information I could give.
We have three ways of framing any given analysis of racism - one, using my cultural context of dissecting the “other” (which would consider religious background, skin color and class). Two, the cultural context of the author’s background, in this case Japan’s (which would consider skin color and nationality). And three and my least favorite, American cultural context, which places an uncomfortable amount of emphasis on skin color.
The reason I don’t like talking about a piece of media through the lenses of American Cultural Context is because that on itself is a form of American Imperialism (from my humble point of view as a Latina who suffered from American Imperialism).
It’s a way for Americans to position their own racism problems in the center of the conversation. Forcing everyone to comply to what their idea of “white” and “black” means.
And unfortunately, for everyone here involved, that’s the lense through which half this site uses as a default.
So you would understand my exasperation, when I see someone: not explain the cultural context through which they’re analyzing racism, explain little to nothing abt said cultural context, and ranting off more about the morality of the text than actually discuss any of these points with any nuance.
In my mind, I have my own cultural background at the forefront. Unfortunately, I have the American cultural background jammed in the back of my mind too. And suddenly you insert the Japanese cultural background handfisted in with the grace of a red eyed bull in a glass shop.
I get fed up, I don’t understand what’s going on, I make an untagged post criticizing the PERSON’s analysis skills (which I’m sorry if I’m mean, but it sorta is bad).
I never said or implied “this work of fiction doesn’t contain problems”, I just said I wished the people who criticized it had the skills to properly explain their point.
Which, by the way, part of that writing skills needed is understanding that your interpretation is not gospel.
Cause like, I had a COMPLETELY different interpretation on Lanzenave. And the country to me, has never come across as a villain.
Like, let’s look for a second MY cultural context, and you’ll understand why I was very confused by the original post.
I genuinely 100% thought Lanzanavians were being portrayed as the GOOD guys.
For starters, the “dark-skinned” comment comes in Part 5 Volume 5 where it comes from being compared to royalty - which may I remind you WE HATE. Like at this point the Royals have been portrayed as incompetent buffoons who have done nothing more than fuck up their country.
Tumblr media
To me, this was less of an indicator of racial profiling, and more of “they are different from the awful royals”.
Which, in my mind, made them better.
A way to say, whatever crimes the royal family has committed, it bears nothing of the actual intentions and wants of Lanzenavians.
Thing that is sorta supported by the rest of the narrative.
Lanzenave was once a country with no King. Then a King came from a magical place across the sea. But as he became more and more useless, they decided to send him back.
It looked, to me, like Lanzenave was a colonized country, that used their King’s greed to get rid of him. It’s stated that many people who came from Lanzenave weren’t just ‘natives’, but nobles.
In my country we have a term “malinche” which refers to anyone who thinks “first world countries” are better than your homeland. A cheap attempt to replicate it and discard your country for the sake of false status - is considered a laughing stock.
Which makes obvious why, the way I interpret it, people who wanted to leave Lanzenave for Yurgenschmidt never registered as actual Lanzenavians. To me they were malinches. Actual Lanzenavians were those who stayed in their country, those who embraced technology and rejected mana and feystones.
In my eyes, Lanzenavians were always smart, hardworking people being exploited and colonized. Who managed to expel the poison. The closing of the gate to Yurgenschmidt wasn’t a punishment. It was freedom. A guarantee that their colonizers wouldn’t return.
The people who invaded, were always that. Colonizers. Nobles. Rich people who think they’re better than poor people.
To me this was Latinoamerican culture in a nutshell. A place where, where you consider yourself to be from, carries way more meaning than skin color or appearance. If you say you’re Mexican, you are Mexican. It doesn’t matter what you look like. But if you renounce your heritage and call yourself “American”, you get mockery and contempt. Cause Americans won’t take you in, they don’t think you are part of them. But you’d rather not be a part of them, than be a part of us? Then follow their rules, and whatever punishment follows - it’s rightfully deserved.
So you would imagine my surprise, when I see someone with a different perspective. Noting something true that I hadn’t realized - this is a Japanese story. Applying the lenses of your own cultural context isn’t how the story is meant to be interpreted.
But instead of anything productive to be had in a conversation, I’m met with…well. People picking a fight.
They genuinely don’t consider or want, to be honest, any sort of different perspective. What they want is to complaint.
They’re Angry that some of us enjoy the story. That we have different things to enjoy out of a story. That we aren’t focusing enough on the problematic aspects of the text. Reading untagged posts and forming a convoluted opinion off two or three sentences I make. Going into huge tangents that completely miss the point.
I think it’s important, if you wanna actually talk instead of throwing buzzwords around, to lay groundwork of what want.
Again, I’m not criticizing wanting to discuss the issues of racism and xenophobia that exist - but I am sorta criticizing your ability to convey a message.
I’m not saying AoB is particularly progressive. But the books do criticize royalty, generational power, the patriarchy and systems that oppress women, the Sakoku Period, inequality in education, restriction of information and censorship…which are issues that I very rarely see tackled in this G E N R E (bcs obv if you switch to other genres and books you will find it. But shoujo isekais that talk abt royalty are rarely ballsy enough to directly criticize the power fantasy they’re writing for young women).
This is honestly a very toxic mentality. I made this for the few ppl who might be following this thing - to me Lanzenavians were always very cool.

I'm seeing people in the notes saying that Fit apologized, but I cant' find a source on that. Do you know if he did or not?
The clip that I have seen is not an apology. It's an attempt at an excuse, and one that doesn't even make sense. Here's the clip I've seen,
"So, um, apparently, on one of the previous streams, so, um remember the trib- uh, the mobs with the masks? I guess some people were upset by that. And I said something in like the previous stream that I remember from courage the cowardly dog when I was kid. So I just want you to know that it was a cartoon reference. I didn't mean any ill intent by it. You know what I'm saying. I'm not that kind of person. It was just a courage the cowardly dog reference. So I hope nobody felt uncomfortable from that."
I haven't seen if there's something specific that's he's claiming he was referencing, but the best guess I've seen is that from the intro there's a character that yells "ooga boga boga" while trying to scare courage.
youtube
Now, first and foremost, let's be clear, what FitMC said isn't an apology regardless of whether or not he was referencing courage the cowardly dog. He never said that he was sorry, or even that what he did was wrong and that he wouldn't do it again. He didn't acknowledge that it was racist at all. He made an excuse for himself. Regardless of what he was referencing, what he said was racist, gross, and he needs to apologize for it.
Now, that being said, his excuse doesn't even make sense. In the intro above, the character is yelling "ooga boga boga" to try to scare Courage. Much like how someone would yell "boo!". That's not what FitMC did at all. I'll add the original clip again for context.
tumblr_video
(If the video isn't working, then to sum it up, the mob is making babble sounds, and Fit starts replying to it saying "ounga bunga, (see/si), yes, onga bunga" in a calm tone, pretending to talk to them, and then "see, I'm speaking their language, they've accepted me as part of the tribe." followed again by "onga bonga" while Bad doesn't acknowledge what he's saying. Bad then asks about the mobs spawn limits and walks past the mob, the clip ends.)
Fit isn't trying to scare someone. He's explicitly using "onga bunga" as a stand in for the mob's language. He literally fucking said that was what he was doing. His excuse also manages to completely ignore that he literally used the term "they've accepted me as part of the tribe". He knew what he was doing, and he's trying to pretend now that he didn't do it rather than take accountability for his actions like an adult.
So no, unless there's another clip out there, FitMC has not apologized for his actions. He hasn't even acknowledged that it was racist and that he shouldn't have said it. He made the claim that he was just referencing a cartoon, and that he hoped nobody was uncomfortable with him being incredibly racist towards native folks. Which isn't acceptable, it's not an apology, and native folk deserve so much fucking better than this bullshit.
At this point, given his failure to take responsibility for his actions, I would encourage people to start putting pressure on the QSMP to do something about this.
Possible options include:
Sending messages to Fit directly, pointing out that the did not actually apologize and that his actions were very racist towards native folk. Don't send threats or harassment, but be clear that his actions were unacceptable, that he needs to actually apologize for them. Not just make an excuse.
If Fit refuses to apologize or there's no acknowledgement, then the escalation would be putting public pressure on Quackity to remove him from the server based on his actions. Filling up FitMC/QSMP fanart tags on twitter with blacked out or patterned images, with descriptions demanding acknowledgement/change is going to probably be the strongest method for forcing content creators to pay attention.
Do NOT post gore/animal abuse/untagged mature images/etc, send harassment, send threats or anything of the sort. This is not an excuse to be cruel to other people. The goal here is for the racism at hand to be acknowledged, apologized for, and not repeated in the future. That is the goal.
I'll update this post if I can find any evidence of an actual apology or change.

WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU MEAN PIT BABE IS ABO
Tumblr media
How did I walk into UNTAGGED ABO IRL this hAs to be a first for me.
I mean, I understand they might've not wanted to market it like that to start a drama, or mAybe I'm just plain stupid and this was public knowledge but anyway here are my thOughts
Imma quote my favorite BL of all time and say "It cOuld be Extraordinary" I mean, it really could.
I believe the first episode was just to set the scene for the show, but let's address specific points
I WANNA MAKE IT CLEAR THAT I DIDN'T READ THE SOURCE MATERIAL THANK YOU
1. The ABO
Let's get this out of the way we knOw it's a difficult topic, and my main concern with it was that they would adapt some random ass manga/manhwa just to establish a bullshit dominant vs submissive horny dynamic that ended up in a very polemic mpreg.
But I encountered either a 'hot omega' - 'dorky alpha dynamic' where both have issues with their second sex traits (specially pheromones) or an alpha-alpha relationship with the same issues, which could lead to a bUnch of social commentary using the ABO social hierarchy.
Apart from that, I believe using those resources for the first big ABO production might have been a good call to ease the general public into it and not dwelling on the full nesting-marking-knotting and whatnot. I mean, it probably might never reach the full power of the genre, but if it works it might crack the door open for this.
2. The story itself
I had this discussion with my best friend (who has recommended me most of the ABO I've read) and we came to the conclusion that this feels like watching something straight out of AO3 fanfiction where the characters are clearly already established (bc the characters come pre built as they're based on ActUaL people) so the point is just telling this story full of made up violence, mafia, infatuation, possessiveness and desire. I kind of love it??? I am obviously not judging it as an ordinary BL, but for what it presented on the first episode it really could be great. I love how we have been introduced to a character like Charlie that will not just be this helpless boy that gets thrown around, he has more agency than we thought.
3 Production and stuff
Oh I love cars and stuff that goes fAst and slicked back hair and blue vs red and ALL the cliches, and I feel like it's done well. We could hate on kinnporsche for many things but it rOse the standards for commercial production. It also has really good actors whose previous work I've seen and liked very much. I also really applaud them for taking this shit seriously, bc many people half ass their acting in strange situation and that shows professionalism.
4. the more I think about it the more I'm excited for the show, and that's bAd because I'm building expectations and that nOt good so here are some point that require attention.
The ABO. This will be an issue until the lAst second of the show, because the way that it is portrayed will be perceived as a direct representation of the whole genre, so they ought to be careful.
The ABO agAin.. what parts are they gonna portray and hOw, because the main couple is not the only one, so I want to know how they will present an (explicitly confirmed) omega and how it will play into the social hierarchy . They already introduced scent and pheromones, and they did it tastefully, so kudos on that.
The ABO.. I'm kidding.
The story, this story might play into some kind of toxic and violent stuff that is becoming a bit problematic for certain audiences, and as I say.. problematic shows and up in problematic situations, so how I want to see how it plays out. But the fact that Charlie is giving 'morally gray that could end up falling' vibes and that gives me hOpe.
The discourse it might start. Oh this world can be a hot mEss and people could start a whole ass battle as this genre that usually was counterculture territory is now brought into this context.
Shit I'm way to nervous about this show... PLEASE IF YOU KNOW MORE let me know, I want to discuss and have a better opinion on it. If you need to call me an idiot in the process I'll take it.

Prompt: Firebolt
Remus stared at the bank statement, and he wondered why he had thought having an authenticated confirmation would ease his apprehension. It was written right there, ink on parchment,
—Dec 1993 Payment to Owl Order Service, Quality Quidditch Supplies—
and his mind still refused to process the singular line that should not have been allowed to exist. Was it the fact that he himself lived by the rule to spend only on the barest necessities? Was it the fact that he hadn’t cared for Quidditch in the past decade, not when the enjoyment of the sport had been too deeply linked with James?
Was it the exorbitant number that followed, a number he couldn’t possibly fathom in the context of money, no, this had to be a joke, right?
Or was it the fact that this vault should have been left untouched as it had been for the past twelve years? Remus didn’t like thinking about why he had access to the vault in the first place. He didn’t like acknowledging that it existed nor did he like thinking about how there had been no questions, no rebuke nor any delay when he’d requested a statement from the goblins.
But he had needed to. He’d contacted Gringotts right after Minerva had confiscated the Firebolt from Harry. It would take them a few weeks to know for sure if the broom was jinxed, and sitting with this uncertainty had left Remus too jittery, he’d gone looking for answers. When Hermione had approached them to inform her Head of House of the pricey, untagged gift that had arrived for Harry Potter, he’d felt electrified. It’d felt too familiar.
And having the confirmation now in his hands, it was yet another secret for him to swallow.
Remus thought of a different, imagined future in which there would be joint gifts signed by ‘Uncle Moony’ and ‘Uncle Padfoot’ or just ‘Moony & Padfoot’. He thought of bickering about appropriate gifts, between brooms and Zonko’s products and more practical tools for a growing wizarding child. He thought of shared possessions and a shared home, a shared everything between lovers and more, but it was all just a pipe dream.
He still stared at the statement that didn’t even give indication of Sirius’ involvement, but his heart knew. His mind knew, and he felt a little choked up.
For twelve years, he had pretended Sirius didn’t exist, and here it was: a sign of life. And here it was, so typically Sirius, except he had never been on the end that could look upon the price tag of his gifts. Remus had never dared to ask for the cost of his gifts, because he hadn’t wanted to know and because he had known Sirius would not take them back, so it had been easier to remain ignorant.
To look the other way and pretend he didn’t know. But it had always been obvious, what had been bought and chosen by Sirius.
And Remus still pretended.
He wanted to burn it, the statement, the gift, to erase everything that had been touched by Sirius. He wanted to not see it, to not know of the presents sent by Sirius whom he remembered as a generous, loving gift-giver. Because what had Sirius given him? It didn’t matter if the broom turned out to have been jinxed or not, because it being given from Sirius’ hands was a curse in and of itself.
What had Sirius gifted Remus? A lifetime of grief and rage, there had been hope, once, and a cutting hurt that bled worse than a lifetime’s curse.
He’d often wanted to set himself on fire.

i genuinely dont mean this to be shady but do you have any tags for your larry/1d related so i can block them? bc i always LOVE your takes and answers but i dont think i want to religiously see those things on my timeline and i also dont think i want us to unfollow each other lol
Hm! On the one hand, if people don't want to see something and ask for a tag, usually no brainer, ofc. And you're very sweet about it! But first of all to be clear, this is a One Direction fan blog; Louis is my favorite and I mostly blog about him, but I think it's all fascinating and all of them are interesting to me even if only for having been part of everything that happened. But that's not really the point here- the next most posts after Louis solo content I have lately are Zayn posts and you're not asking me to tag those even though he was in 1D; this is about what parts of Louis people want to see. But the thing is: larry and One Direction posts ARE LOUIS CONTENT, that's part of following Louis and talking about him and what's going on with him, which is what I DO! And actually I'm not into being part of the project of trying to erase huge parts of his life by acting like it's shameful or separate from current day Louis. I don't think being the most influential part of the biggest band in the world is shameful or something he would want danielled, and I don't think Harry Styles is evil and needs to be erased from history. I think that pretending big parts of Louis' life didn't happen is weird and is pretending he's someone other than who he is, which is basically insulting him if you ask me because his actual self is great, and like… I'm not into it. In this house we appreciate ALL of Louis!
However! I do tag my thoughts posts ("blah blah blah") and anyone can follow that as a tag (or other specific tags of mine like screen design or louis promo or what have you) if they unfollow me as a blog to just see my wordy ass takes and not all these glorious Louis pics and updates (and occasional other things). And if I follow you now I will continue to unless you post a bunch of things I don't like (ie about how much you hate 1D and larries lol or you just get really enthused about some untagged anime and I can't handle it); this is a sideblog so I can't easily see who I'm mutuals or not with, and I follow or don't based on whether a blog's content is what I want on my dash or not, period. There are lots of lovely people who I think highly of but don't follow and I support anyone doing the same, do what works for you. But I hope you instead choose to keep the small number of 1D and larry posts I make or reblog on your dash and take the opportunity to get to know Louis better by also letting those parts of his life be part of your picture of him rather than erasing it, which I think does him a disservice, and also leaves out a lot of context for the present moment. You say you appreciate my takes and thoughts: the things I chose to post are part of that! It's food for thought maybe! But also anyone can also just filter some key phrases or blogs and get rid of a lot of whatever they don't like that way from not just me but everyone ;)

Looks like Photomatt has now deleted several of his posts regarding this whole incident, and edited the original one with further context. The edits to the original are 1) admitting that the hammer part of the "threat" seems silly but that he's apparently "almost died by car accident twice" (which, even if its true, are we taking into account personal triggers for what qualifies as harassment? And if so, why is misgendering people not considered one of those triggers?) And 2) adding that apparently Avery/Rita had "over 20 different blogs" which have names "so sexual to list them here would require a mature tag". (Which, he is perfectly capable of doing, and also it should be noted, there's not really rules against mature content so long as its tagged. There's been no proof of any untagged content. And third here, this is a *sex worker* we are talking about of COURSE she's got horny blogs!)
The posts which were deleted were largely the post-blowup tantrum replies, nothing too major there but overall trying to sweep away the tantrum. One post of note which was deleted is the one where he said the oh you know what i screenshotted it so lemme just post it
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is the one i'm most concerned about. This is the one where he mentions *pulling out investment* as well as saying "oh gosh I suddenly have empathy for those dealing with harassment campaigns now that I'm the victim of one".
Why do I think he deleted this one? He's scared of legal action. See, Tumblr was previously sued for bigoted moderation during the post-porn-ban era, and part of the stipulations is that they must make efforts to fix that. Then, we got in his other major post about this the tidbit that they *outsourced their moderation* and that they *had a known transphobic moderator in that company* LITERALLY last year. And now THIS post says that there (probably) werent plans to fix moderation before his sabbatical began, and even adds on that only *now* does he have empathy for how tumblr's poor moderation tools have made harassment a nightmare. Combine with multiple trustworthy testimonies that queer staff previously pointed this out to him...it sounds like the threat of legal action over moderation problems just led him to utterly ignore that problem until *JUST NOW*.
Now I am no legal expert. I have no clue whether this was culpable enough to show that he didnt make reasonable effort to fix biased moderation. Its entirely possible that fhis only sounds culpable to my untrained eye, and that he actually used secret language which dodges that culpability. But considering there's actual threat of lawsuit again now, and he posted all of this?
Well. Yeah, I'd delete some shit too. Too bad its probably too late. Anyways if you do nuke the site Matt I hope this follows you til you die. Or you could actually man up, and ask your lawyers whats the cheapest way you can apologize for this fuckup. It wouldnt erase this problem, but I think all of us would stop mocking you relentlessly if you at least had the guts to do that.

1, 2 (Rise), 22, 36
Hello hello!!! Always good to hear from you. <333
1 was answered here!
2.) What was your first exposure to [Rise]? I think it was about three-ish years ago, here on tumblr! I had absolutely NO clue that Rise existed because I don’t have cable and I was pretty offline so I had never heard of it before, but someone I followed posted a clip from Turtle-dega Nights: The Ballad of Rat Man and I was amazed. Mostlyyyy because it was untagged and presented with very little context so I thought it was a mind blowingly amazing TMNT-inspired fan animation lmao. (I’ll admit, I was pretty put off by Splinter’s character design though.) But it lived rent free in my head for a while, and then about two years ago I learned that Rise did actually exist, watched the first couple episodes, and have loved it ever since.
22.) What is your favorite kind of pizza? I like extra cheese and extra sauce. And then for toppings…banana peppers, ham, black olives, tomatoes, onion.
36 was answered here, but on the subject I’ll say that Raph also gives me a hard time sometimes. Which is ironic since he’s my favorite character.

I sort of agree, and sort of don't- its context dependent on how the website the person is on functions. On a place like tumblr, I think it is a pink flag and not a red one. If somebody frequently posts my squicks/triggers untagged, I don't have to grin and bear it. I can block them. If you can curate your own experience on a site, it is less important I feel.
On a middle ground like discord, you have to match the vibe of the server. If everyone/the majority of people in a server posts untagged kinks that are squicky to a lot of people, it would be a dick move to get them to cater to your expectations, no matter how reasonable they are. (Unless it is actively illegal, so antis do not twist that on its head.)
On websites where you have no way of curating your own experience big big big fucking agree not manually tagging things is exactly as rude as you say it is.
Would reblog your addition with this, but I personally don't feel comfortable potentially leading harassment to a guy even though I think they might be kind of a dick. That just makes two people that are kind of dicks! Still wanted to give my take on it though!
The thing to keep in mind is that the person in that article is literally grooming his underage sister, and a lot of other unethical shit with minors. It's not just a case of someone being a dick over tags. The thing to keep in mind is that this is someone who would post extensive threads about how he wanted to rape an underage character, in an intentionally provocative way designed to "trigger" antis, then would brag when antis got triggered and traumatized by it. IE, deliberately trying to "bait" antis (who are often minors) and then bragging about upsetting them.
The context behind this is that this was referring to someone in Twitter's lolicon community, which is overrun with a bunch of fascist and racist chuds who basically get off on harassing antis, and who use their sexual fetishes for the sake of shock value to torment vulnerable people. And in this specific case, it was someone who turned out to be an actual predator. Just wanted to clarify, and I appreciate the feedback.

lions are very territorial pt.2
“do you wonder what it would be like if you met your real parents?” irene asked. the couple lay next to each other, watching the day pass by.
“sometimes. but i wouldn’t even know where to start,” leon answered. he gently stoked her hair and she snuggled closer.
“maybe one day you’ll find them,” she said.
“what if they’re gone?”
“that’s too sad.” she frowned. “you need to have some hope.”
“it is an interesting thought. but i’ve never met my parents so i don’t know even what they look like.”
“i bet you look like your father,” she giggled.
leon laughed, “oh yeah? what makes you say that?”
“i don’t know, i just think it would be cute.” she smiled.
“and what about you? do you look like your mother?” he raised a brow.
“not really. maybe at a glance, but not really. she was really pretty. she had this shiny, straight hair. it was so stiff and smooth. mine is always frizzy and ugly,” she told him and leon patiently listened.
“i think you’re really pretty. your hair is like a magnificent lion’s mane,” leon teased.
“you’re one to talk, lion boy.”
the two laughed and giggled with each other. “so if you don’t look like your mother, then you must look like your father.”
“nobody knows who my father is. my mother never talked about it. all my memories are in rhodolite so he must be rhodolitian.”
“did you ever find out what was in the letter your childhood friend gave you?” leon asked. “i know you’ve been working on it for a while.”
“no, i still don’t understand anything. i think it’s best if i just have someone else read and translate it for me.”
“i think you should keep going,” he said. “you’ll get there. you need to have hope.”
“oh gosh, who told you that?” she exhaled a laugh.
“a really beautiful girl. she’s really smart too.” he pressed a kiss on her head.
irene continued to study hard, trying her best to translate her mother’s words. little by little, she decoded the message. it didn’t make much sense, but over time it became more intelligible.
“i knew you could do it,” leon said. irene presented him with the translated letter. “can i read it?”
the original letter looked spent. the page was folded and refolded and it was a bit discolored. the strokes of each character was neat and careful. the black pigment of the ink still stood out on the page.
the letter explained her mother’s circumstances, and at the end she finished it off with an apology. it wasn’t addressed to irene, or anyone irene recognized. however, it does briefly mention her.
“‘my daughter grows everyday, and my wish is to return home to present her to our home’,” leon read out loud. “interesting wording there. ‘her father was from benitoite, and i wished she could have grown there in the beautiful sea country. it reminds me of our home.’”
“so i guess that answers the question.” she shrugged.
“that’s amazing.” leon skimmed over the rest of the letter, none of which were making sense without the context. “should we try to find him?”
“she says she wanted me to grow up there. so why didn’t i? she moved here instead.”
“good point.”
“i have to tell my friend. he wouldn’t believe this!”
“may i go with you? i’d like to meet your friend.”
“i’d really like that.”
tag list (let me know if you’d like to be tagged or untagged): @violettduchess @nightghoul381
