Brooklyn Nets Kids Game

年に数回だけ開催されるBrooklyn NetsのKidsゲームを観戦してきた。

この日は冷え込んでいて、午前中まで今季初めての本格的な雪が降っていたこともあり、チケットの価格もどんどん下がっていた。

様子を見ていたけど、午後には雨に変わりそうで、路面も凍っていなかったため、車で会場のバークレイズ・センターへ。

相手はポートランドのブレイザーズ。エースのリラードも抜けて、ロスターも知らない選手ばかり。

一方のネッツは、昨秋にチームUSAにも招集されていたミカル・ブリッジズやキャム・ジョンソンも出場。

ブリッジズは、サンズ時代の3&Dから、すっかりエースの風格。一目でわかるウイングスパンやシュートのしなやかさといい、この人を観るだけでチケットの価値があった。42点の活躍。

キッズゲームらしいイベントは期待していたほどでは無かったものの、外の天候の悪さと、対戦相手も下位のチームということもあって、会場もそこまで混んでいなく、結果的にはキッズフレンドリーな感じで落ち着いて観戦できた。

KAWSデザインのユニフォームは賛否両論だけど、ブルックリンらしいといえばらしいな。

個人的には会場に掲げられているニュージャージー時代の、ジェイソン・キッドの永久欠番が目を引く。

デュラント、アービング、ハーデンのBIG 3はあっという間に解体されたけど、

今後、このアリーナにも時間と歴史が刻まれていくのかな。

I went to the Kids game day of the Brooklyn Nets held a few times in a season.

It was so cold and we had a snow storm in the morning for the first time in this winter , the price of tickets fell down every second.

We waited and saw the weather conditions, it was expected that snow would be rain and road surface conditions were not frozen.

So, we drove to the Barclays Center.

The opponents are the Portland Trail Blazers. A star player, Damian Lillard left for Bucks , I didn’t know almost all players.

On the other hand, Brooklyn Nets, Mikal Bridges and Cameron Johnson , both of them were Team USA last summer , were on the court .

Mikal Bridges had been not only a talented 3&D player, but also a ace player of the team.

We can find easily him because of his wind wingspan and smooth shooting form.

It was worth paying the price for watching him.

He scored 42 points on that day.
