Canadian Wildfires Fundraiser

2025 has so far proven to be the 2nd worst fire season on record for Canada, with over four million hectares having burned already. Tens of thousands have been forced to evacuate, mostly from already isolated indigenous communities. Some communities have also seen significant damages.

In an effort to help myself and a number of other creators have set up a fundraiser bundle on Itch. For just $10 US you get everything from queer romance stories to nature photography to strategy games.

please help me and my cat survive this summer

making a new post because i think the urgency got lost in the last one. i need to move in a month and a half and have no housing options, i'm disabled and very socially isolated with severely limited mobility and i'm in an area very close to wildfires that may need to evacuate. i am not able to cover my basic needs right now, let alone travel or alternate shelter. i have an old sick cat who needs meds and a vet trip, and a microchip if we have to evacuate. i am trying to get my new glasses before my situation worsens bc the ones i've had for 6 years are the wrong prescription, broken and painfully small.

anything helps. please help.

To fill in a couple gaps for the sources:

Saskatchewan 'flips' between time zones because it's the only province to reject daylight savings (or rather, it stays on daylight savings time all year round). (This is the only reason I have ever been jealous of Saskatchewan)

Toronto containing three of the top ten biggest cities is referring to the Greater Toronto Area (GTA)

Think our flag colour was actually chosen to just match the maple leaf at the centre - since maple leaves turn red in the fall, right? Well actually, only some do! If you look around the Eastern provinces, you'll see that maple trees are somehow all the autumn colours; one tree will be red, while another is yellow, or orange, or green, or purple (yes, really). The real lesson here is that maple trees are very beautiful, and very strange.
