Remember church bulletins? This was mine from the 80s-90s. Obviously, the summer edition.
Churches used to be named First or Second. So you’d say, “I go to the Baptist Church,” and everybody knew you meant the church that was officially the First Baptist Church.
As fundamentalism was rising, however, in the 20th century, they were breaking away from the “First” churches. So you start getting named like “Calvary Baptist” and “Tabernacle Baptist.” It dates the church to be a mid-century creation.

I read some information about Toby Fox and noticed that he put some elements about his personal life in Deltarune (he practiced country-cross and was the leader of a young group From the Episcopal Church)
A lot of artists may put little details or experiences from their personal life into their art, so this isn't surprising!

Thinking about this Catholic Church I went to over the weekend near the boarder of Utah.
It’s no secret that church attendance is dying more and more. There’s hardly anyone left at this one. The poor priest we had was advanced in years, you knew he probably had to be out of retirement to help, and struggled to even walk with a back so hunched over. When I saw him struggle, it made me want to cry. He had absolutely no one to help him at the altar, no deacons, no extra priest, no altar boys, no altar girls, just a couple door greeters opposite side of where the altar is. They used pre-recorded music because they had no piano player. Poor Father was too weak to give us Holy Communion himself. He had one of the sisters do it in his place. Normally, he said, a Catholic school would be supported by its church next to it but instead, since Mass attendance has dropped significantly, the school itself is supporting the church. The school itself has sisters that teach 51 students maximum. I don’t know how many families used to attend Mass there, but my heart felt so sad. Father says if we knew anyone that could support them financially, to reach out to them. If you are in a position where you can donate, please see the link below. If you are unable to donate, please don’t feel pressured or obligated to do so, but I ask you to join me in prayer.

It is apparently a little-known fact that debates on the Elder Scrolls lore resemble actual historical and theological debates in real life. There is just as much debate over the polytheistic religion's nitty gritty in Elder Scrolls as there is debate over the finer details of monotheistic Christian theology, as well as history in both cases, since both present what could at best be exaggerated and mythologized history (in the universe of Elder Scrolls, anyway), and at worst plain fiction.

matchablossom + ice skating au :))))
Kaoru zips across the finish line several seconds ahead of his opponent, and Kojiro breaks into applause along with the rest of the crowd. Kaoru waves to the fans, then turns to look at Kojiro. He seems to locate him instantly in the sea of faces, and Kojiro’s heart may very well stop in his chest as Kaoru glides across the ice, over to where he’s been watching.
“Still think you could take me?” There’s a playful glint in Kaoru’s eye.
Kojiro grins. “Of course I can, princess. A skater can only remain undefeated for so long.”

Looking for a girlfriend so the next time random homophobic church people knock on my door asking if i want to be saved i can ask them their stance on marriage & pretend to be really intrigued. then halfway through when they've really said some stuff ill say "hey darling come listen to this" and then wham bam boom my super hot girlfriend will walk up
Anyway i just think it would be real fun to see their faces
