Trans-Kirito story-idea

After the SAO beta-test, Suguha "borrows" (read, follows her god-given right to be an annoying little sister) Kirito's NervGear.

As Suguha very much doesn't want to run around "as a boy" (yuck), she redoes the body-scan.

Kirito is very much not amused by Suguha stealing his shit, and takes it back. Kirito checks that nothing is actually broken (it works just fine), but doesn't think about "resetting" the body-scan.

The in-game avatar isn't changed (Kirito picks "male"), and Suguha the preteen and Kirito before his growth-spurt have very similar body-types), so any "this feels a bit odd to get used to"-feelings are attributed to Kirito lying about his height.

SAO starts, and Kirito is having zero issues with his avatar.

SAO becomes a death-game and Kayaba makes the mirror-item happen.

The mirror-item uses the recorded body-scan to create the avatar (and a video-feed for recording faces and facial-expressions).

So Kirito now has the body of a preteen girl, and the face of a very cute boy.

Let the chaos begin.

I forgot to take a before picture(RIP) but my first restoration/remodel!

Got this little wooden box from the thrift shop and it was in bad condition, loose wobbly off center hinges, an ill hitting lid, chipping laquer and scratched to hell.

Used what I had on hand, so it's not perfect, but I think it's pretty!

Sanded her down and sanded down the metal bits with some wd40 and put everything back together. Gave her a light coat of wd40 to make the grain stand out more and to shine it up (more of a light satin type shine) and she's done!!

The Loretto Chapel "Miraculous Stair" in New Mexico. It was mysteriously built in the 1850s without the use of nails or glue and lacks a central pole or external supports. It remains a marvel to woodworkers and carpenters for seemingly defying physics, while today certainly replicateable, it stands a monolith of cutting edge design considering its time period.

Finished up the bench. Probably some gaps in the documentation because I'm bad at posting things anymore but looking forward to finally having something sturdy to work on.

Probably gonna add some holes for bench dogs to use with the vise, and one of these next times at the forge I'd like to make some hold fasts.

There's definitely gonna be a lot of rearranging coming up in the shop with the extra space this allots me. As much as I'd like to leave things open, my workshop has been condensed from my old home and shed, to one room.

I was thinking of all the projects I want to do and for some reason after imagining all the plans for what I want to do to make my room better and like... Actually cosy to be in, for some reason my brain was like 'hey wouldn't it be funny if you made a mechanical turk based on Sunny and you ALSO got trapped when you went to test it just like the new FNaF book summary says?'

Like yeah man it would be so fucking funny if my mum was away, my dad was at work and I had to call around everyone I've ever met before giving up and having to be the idiot calling emergency services because they were thwarted by their own hubris. That'd be so funny but also brain... You do realise that if I built a mechanical turk... My phone would probably not be on my person while I tested it and I'd be stuck until my dad got home in the early hours of the morning? Like... You do realise that's what would happen, right? Bro...
