supernatural season 19 episode 47 where castiel is messing with some time crystals (which they found in the previous episode) and he accidentally blows up the bunker, creating a gigantic rip in the time space continuüm and he, dean, sam, ketch, charlie and jorid get sucked in and dropped off in an alternate timeline where chuck never existed and god is actually the third divine sibling kryle who's like. super chill dude.

the entire world is a beach resort, they have coconut for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. chill!dean, sam, and surfstiel (hammerheadshark) are lounging around and surfing brah. dean fucks surfstiel and castiel fucks chill!dean, they make four-way eyecontact during it. charlie is having lesbian sex somewhere (?)

anyway kryle is possessed by eviller!chuck and blah blah blah destruction of the world, ketch dies, jorid beats chuck at the end and they return the chill timeline back to chilling. sam dies by a coconut to the head and then they get zapped back to the regular timeline and they still didn't get to visit the damn beach because everything happened in the resort

Two months ago, the world didn’t end.

The last anyone’s seen of Castiel was when he was banished from the bunker by Toni Bevell. The Brits swear they don’t have him. Neither Heaven nor Hell claim to know of his whereabouts. All of Dean’s calls, texts and prayers to the angel have gone unanswered, and Dean can’t help but worry that a “Winchester win” has once again come at a terrible price.

One day hope finally arrives in a lead from an unexpected if not always trustworthy ally. However finding Cas might end up being only the first step in saving him—not simply from the forces holding him captive, but from the prison of his own mind.

I may be the one in chains, but the two of you are just as much a prisoner as I. It saddens me. No, it totally sickens me, to see so much power go unspent. So much glory unclaimed.

CASTIEL Glory? Oh, I've seen glory. And I've seen defeat. But I have seen the glory. I have won epic battles, and I have reaped vast rewards. And none of it has meant as much to me as the relationships that I've formed on Earth. Sam and Dean? They are like a family to me. Claire Novak... When she smiled at me? Nothing, no--no angelic crusade, or victor's bounty, none of that could ever hold a candle to that sweet (chuckles), crooked smile.

Its moments like these that really puts how much Castiel gave up for Humanity and Dean and Sam into perspective. I wish they'd kept this scene in the episode, it gives so much depth to his character.
