It's been fourteen years since "LOST" ended its run on ABC. And it's been a while since I last saw the final episode. Yet, a part of me still resents the fact that Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse had given Desmond Hume a means to leave the island (the new protector, Hurley Reyes) and reunite with his wife Penny and son Charlie. Yet, the two showrunners gave Jin and Sun Kwon a tragic ending (namely death) after being apart for three years and no chance of being with their daughter, Ji-Yeon.

Fuck you, Lindelof and Cuse.

My opinion:

Recently, my friend invited me to go to a ballet play at the Polish National Theatre (Teatr Wielki). We saw “Dracula”. The show had two acts - each better than the other.

We had amazing seats as we were seated on the third balcony from where we could observe all that is going on at the stage and the orchestra. Meanwhile, during the break we could observe the amazing architecture of the Grand Theatre. At first, we were not really sure what is going on. However, after some time of watching the play, we figured it all out. What I noticed at the very beginning of the play is that one of my favorite childhood movies is more or less based on that spectacle - “Hotel Transylvania”.

What I most loved about the play was obviously the ballet, as recently I am very interested in this sport. I also adored the costumes and the amazing music by one of my favorite composers - Wojciech Kilar. It was amazing to see this performance live - both the ballet and acting as well as the amazing compositions. I totally recommend this ballet - it is truly worth experiencing.

In 2021, the International Cable Protection Committee, comprising industry and government officials, issued a “best practices” document for protecting and promoting resilience of submarine telecommunications cables. Among its recommendations was to disperse cable infrastructure to provide redundancy and backup measures during extreme events. The committee also co-published a report in 2009 with the United Nations Environment Programme that said rising seas could worsen erosion and increase flood risk of onshore coastal cable facilities. In hurricane and typhoon zones, severe storms “will not only attack the coast, but also influence the stability of the continental shelf seabed via the formation of eroding currents and waves," the report said. Such action could expose cables to more abrasion or suspensions above the seabed, as well as trigger submarine landslides and greater turbidity.
