I’m a member of the support team on Sims After Dark. I knew that the infant patch would be a doozie--and it was! What I was not prepared for was the sheer level of hate, hostility & harassment that we (support team members) would face.

People seemed to have lost any sense of common decency, humility, respect, or patience. It’s quite embarrassing that we had to release MORE THAN ONE server announcement on how to behave. It has really blown my mind that people were behaving the way they were to people who VOLUNTEER their time to HELP. I am not paid by EA nor am I affiliated with EA--I just really like helping other simmers play their game with mods & cc. There have also been several modders & content creators who have been relentlessly harassed on when they were going to update their mods/cc. WE DO NOT OWE YOU ANYTHING.

Given all of this, Sims After Dark has gone dark until March 21st. Hopefully everyone will take this time to re-evaluate how they speak to people online. I know that I for one will be taking time away and actually getting to play the game for the first time since the new content dropped.

Finally, I’ve attached some of the responses that I personally received IN PUBLIC CHANNELS. I was also personally harassed by a group of people who joined the server just to say stupid shit to me. This does not include responses that other support team members have received nor does it include the sheer volume of people saying things like: “When will x mod be updated?” “Is anyone going to help me?” or spamming the support channels. I hope these pictures help you all fully understand how we’ve been talked to the past couple of days. I’ve also blocked out the names & profile pictures of these people because I’m not a shit head and the intention behind this post is to give just a peek into what I’ve been experiencing. Last Call for Infants Patch Prep!!

Tomorrow is the day most of us have been waiting for, the patch to prepare Sims 4 for INFANTS!!! It promises to be busy on support Discords, so I thought I'd start off with a few essential things you should know about getting help from Deaderpool's server.

First of all, READ our #server-info channel!!! There is a lot of information there that will streamline your experience with us. We always know who doesn't bother to read it, by the questions we see in support. We're going to be getting slammed by people with broken mods/cc, please do your part to make things easier on everyone involved, on any server you visit.

Pay close attention to the types of mods/cc/creators who may very well get you banned. Don't bring them to our server.

The people manning support channels are volunteers. Don't be an ass. We're not getting paid to help you, and we don't have to put up with rudeness, disrespect, trolling, and so on. We have no issue with banning people who can't behave properly on Deaderpool's discord. Don't try us.

Don't post the same thing in multiple channels, and don't post the same thing on multiple servers simultaneously. If you don't use two lanes at once in a brick and mortar store, why would you try doing it online? It's confusing and not efficient for anyone trying to work with you. The exceptions would be, if staff refers you elsewhere, to either a different channel, or to a separate discord server, in order to better address your issues. Otherwise, pick one channel on one server, and stay there.

BE PATIENT. Expansion patches are legendary for being super-busy. We'll do our best to get to everyone as soon as possible. There's no need to bump your post, or poke us, unless it's obvious your post has been skipped, after a few minutes/posts around yours are being handled. We're human, stuff happens. Don't get angry about it, just remind us, and we'll move forward from there.

If you're a long-time player, please watch out for the new players, if this is someone's first patch, they're likely to be pretty shocked at the damage. If you speak more than one language, we'd LOVE to add you to our group of Interpreters helping in #bilingual-support. If you're familiar with our server's layout, please help new people find their way around. 

Please do not pester creators for information. They're all aware this patch is likely to break things, and they would rather spend their time updating their mods and cc for us, than having to respond to tons of "your stuff broke!" posts on their pages. Don't be that person, just keep an eye on the various #mods-news type channels, Scarlet's list, Luth's forum post, and so on. 

This is not our first rodeo, you can trust us to help get you through the damage and back into your game, in the most painless way we can manage.

If we all can work together, we can minimize patch fallout in many ways. Bring a positive attitude, and your popcorn, and get ready to see the show... it's going to be a rocking week!

Hi. I'm probably no one you know, but I'm a support banshee at Sims After Dark, a sims discord server where we help you fix your broken game. If you weren't aware of what's going on, we're shut down at the moment due to the behaviour many of the members have been displaying recently (definitely not all, but too many). For the people saying we were rude first: 'Remove all of your mods and cc, and watch the news channels for updates' is not rude.

'The mod you've been told to remove 5 times now is still broken and causing you errors' is not rude.

'Please stop coming into the support channels with mod folders full of known broken mods. Remove everything and wait for updates. Also delete the broken traits from 2015 permanently' is not rude.

'Okay, if you want to play with broken mods, that's up to you, but please stop coming into the support channels with errors from them' is not rude.

'Wicked Whims is not updated for the patch. Remove it' is not rude.

You know what's rude? Getting angry at the support person who's just trying to help you.

You know what's rude? Keeping coming back with the same mods that are breaking your game and doing nothing to help yourself, but still demanding help.

You know what's rude? 'This mod is actively breaking your game.' 'Well, it's working fine, why are you telling me it's broken? You're being so rude.'

You know what's rude? There are 500 people posting error files at the same time, and you are posting the same error file multiple times in all support channels and sometimes in all channels in all support servers. We cannot help everyone instantly. You have to wait your turn.

You know what's more than rude? Getting banned from the server for abusive behaviour, and then sending all of your friends to harass the person who banned you.



This is a good way to have no one left who is willing to help anyone. We're getting there. We are not machines--input error file, output message that is easy and convenient and will magically fix everything with no effort on your part. We are people, with lives outside of your game, and we expect some cooperation when it comes to helping you. That is not rude.



This is not new. We are, unfortunately, used to it by this point. It's the sheer number and volume of it that's wearing us down, and the escalation into stalking behaviour that scares us. Please, for everyone's sake, at least pretend to be a decent human being.

Hej, Slice of Life nie działa. Działa tylko 1 nowy mod pochodzący z tego moda: Health & Beauty. Tłumaczenie jest na moim blogu.

Jakaś nowa wersja MCCC pewnie jest. Myślę, że jak wpiszesz w Google MC Command Center to łatwo znajdziesz do pobrania. I też nie wiem, jak spowolnić czas :/

Jeśli mody nie działają to upewnij się, że:

wypakował*ś moda z pliku .zip

pobrał*ś wszystkie potrzebne pliki moda i inne mody, które są wymagane do działania

usunąłeś/usunęłaś stare wersję moda przez zainstalowaniem nowej wersji

masz włączone w grze zawartość zmodyfikowaną i mody skryptowe

mod nie wchodzi w konflikt z innym modem

Hej, miałam pisać głównie do tłumaczy modów, ale kończąc post zorientowałam się, że dużo by nie wynieśli z tych wypocin 😅

Opisuję tutaj pewną historię, która mi się przytrafiła. Jak komuś się nudzi to może poczytać. Piszę też ten post, aby ktoś z serwera Deaderpoola go zobaczył, bo nie mam możliwości się skontaktować z ani jedną osobą stamtąd. Jednak nie mam na to nadziei.

Śmieszna sytuacja. Zaczęłam dostawać wiadomości na CF i Discordzie od adminów/moderatorów serwera KawaiiStacie i Deaderpoola - Onyxangel i Cur13yKar13y.

(chyba po kliknięciu w zdjęcie zdjęcie będzie mieć lepszą jakość ale nwm)

Zarzucają mi, że to w jaki sposób dodaję moje tłumaczenia (od 4 lat prawie już) wygląda tak, jakbym pisała, że to są moje mody, i że je przywłaszczam. No, i że nie piszę, że tłumaczenia należą do KS.

Problemem też jest to, że nie dodaję tłumaczeń na jej stronę i jej serwer, oraz to, że tłumaczę "zakazany" przez ICH SERWERY mod, i że miałam czelność dodać te straszne tłumaczenie na tę samą stronę, co tłumaczenia do perfekcyjnych (wgl nie popsutych przez 9 miesięcy w roku) modów KS.

Próbowałam im to wytłumaczyć w kilku wiadomościach, ale obraziły się, bo byłam "agresywna". Cur13yKar13y w ogóle mnie nie wysłuchała tylko od razu zablokowała, po czy jej koleżanka zrobiła to samo.

w każdym poście, na CF, czy tutaj daję info "polskie tłumaczenie/polish translation" oraz info, że "bez moda tłumaczenie nie zadziała". Na CF piszę to w 5 miejscach! bo takie są wymagania strony. Czy to jest moja wina, że osoby/dzieci nie potrafią zrozumieć, że to nie jest mod i zgłaszają się do adminów ich serwerów? No ja wprowadzam w błąd specjalnie.

nie dodaję jej tłumaczeń na serwer, bo nikt tego nie robi. Jeśli wejdziecie na jej serwer i kanał #complete-translations, zobaczycie (na ten moment) post ze stycznia 2023, wcześniej ze 2 posty z 2022. Tyle. Inni nie muszą, ale ja muszę.

nie dodaję tłumaczeń na jej stronę, bo nie mam możliwości. Jej strona jest bardziej popsuta od jej modów. Na początku, dodawałam wszystkie swoje tłumaczenia, kiedy w pewnym momencie KS zdecydowała, że usunie stronę i zbuduje nową, usuwając przy tym wszystkie konta. Ja wraz z innymi tłumaczami byliśmy zdezorientowani, co się stało, czemu nie mogę się zalogować, gdzie się podziały nasze tłumaczenia? KS oraz jej admini nawet nie poinformowali nas o tym, już nie mówiąc o jakiś przeprosinach. Przeniosłam się tu na dobre. Potem stworzyłam nowe konto na jej stronie. Aktualnie, moje konto znów zostało usunięte. Nie mogę tam nic zrobić. Zgłaszałam to. "No ale dlaczego nie dodajesz tłumaczeń na jej stronę?"

w każdym tłumaczeniu dodaję link do moda. Nie muszę pisać imienia autora. Aby tłumaczenie działało, musisz pobrać moda z linka. Wchodzisz w link i widzisz autora, prawda? Nikt mi nie wmówi, że przywłaszczam

tutaj ta śmieszna część: ich serwery (DP, KS i inne) mają zakazane mody na SWOICH SERWERACH. Z jakiegoś powodu Etheria's Romance Overhaul jest zakazany, idc. Ale czemu ma mnie to obchodzić? Że jakiś serwer coś sobie zakazał i teraz piszą do mnie, że złamałam zasady ICH serwera??? No nie wiem jak to wytłumaczyć, to jest chora sytuacja. Ja nie dodałam tłumaczenia na ich serwery. Czy ja czegoś tutaj nie rozumiem?

Jak wszędzie, tak i tu chodzi o kasę... Według nich czerpię korzyści z nie mojej pracy.

Otóż na CurseForge kolekcjonuje się punkty na podstawie ilości pobrań. Punkty te wymienia się na Karty podarunkowe Amazon albo po prostu dostaje się pieniądze.

Przez 4 lata wszystko było okej, ale gdy teraz mogę mieć korzyści materialne ze swojej pracy to nagle wszystko robię źle. Hmm...

Mi to wygląda na czepianie się, bo ktoś tu jest zazdrosny. Według nich ktoś im doniósł, że łamię zasady. Jestem w stanie to uwierzyć, to bardzo możliwe. Znam osoby w tej społeczności, które źle mi życzą. Może naprawdę one tylko mnie informują, bo inna osoba/grupa osób zazdrości mnie nie lubi.

Ta społeczność już odbiera mi chęć i zabawę z gry. Skupiam się głównie na tłumaczeniach, bo bardzo lubię to hobby. Tymi oskarżeniami/zazdrością nikt nie sprawi, że to porzucę, a jeśli kogoś boli, że mogę dostawać za to pieniądze to proponuję zacząć tworzyć jakiś kontent i publikować go w Internecie. Na CF znajduje się wiele gier 😉

Jeśli czyta to jakiś tłumacz, który publikuje lub planuje publikować tłumaczenia na CurseForge - ten post może być przykładem na kogo uważać, no i żeby nie dać się zastraszyć.

Jeżeli dodajesz link do strony z modem i/lub piszesz imię autora, dajesz informację o tym, że to tylko tłumaczenie - nie łamiesz żadnych zasad.

(Zawieranie moda w swoim tłumaczeniu też nie jest złe. Ja je wyciągam, aby plik nie tworzył problemów, ale według zasad EA, zawieranie moda jest ok - każdy ma prawo modyfikować inne mody/cc i przywłaszczać je jako swoje - tłumacze najczęściej publikują tylko pliki tłumaczenia, bo są mili, no i żeby nie łamać sprawiedliwych zasad twórców 🤡)

To chyba tyle. Ogólnie śmieszna sytuacja. 🤔
