I'm doubly heartbroken over Deanna because the thing about a long-term resurrection is that the spirit must be able AND willing to return. Deanna heard the call and returned to her husband to find... Obligation. A promise kept. A life lived without her, everything that made up her life moved on. God. How do you process that.

aabria said “deanna spent the majority of her husband’s life waiting at the edge of the veil and sending him back... so it was a lot like will when orym died, who was like there and was like ‘it’s not your time yet, go back.’ so there was a little poke at what I *think* is the beginning of orym and dorian’s relationship, and what that means for the person that was left behind that died.”

aabria has been asked before if she ships doriax or dorym and she's openly said she ships the double ds. so.

1. she could have misspoken and said dorian when she meant will, especially bc she was referencing will directly before saying ‘orym and dorian’ and – as far as we know – neither orym or dorian are dead, having left the other behind. (either way, the slip has me 👀👀)

2. she could have jumped ships based on the trajectory of dorian and orym’s developing relationship throughout c3. (also. she could be a member of the ‘dorian has two hands’ club. bc she’s aabria, creator of laerryn ‘has had loquatius shapeshift into every member of the brass ring while they fuck’ coramar-seelie and deanna ‘threesome with a werewolf and a faun’ leimert.)
