I'm sure you all know what this scene is. There are going to be some major differences for this season that I have plan for sure when I get to it. It's pretty obvious by now that Bast is going to be there instead of Tea. But it would make more sense because Catzi's soul has been taken along with Yugi's. Also, this will focus more on these two relationship. I will say this as a bit of a spoiler...Atem does end up putting his relationship with Bast in jeporady. What do I mean? He ends up yelling at her and blaming her that Yugi and Catzi's souls were taken, even though it was his fault. I know. It sounds harsh but hey, it's honestly to also show that these two are still human even if they are spirits. And the fact their relationship is not perfect in anyway. Not to mention, Atem is hurting big time. I can see him being the type to lash out if he is feeling stressed or having a close friend being taken away due to his mistakes. Eventually, he and Bast will make up. Aah I feel so bad for these two. T-T

They want to know more about their past, but it's still just a blur... Right now, Atem and Bast are in Bast's soul room. Hers is very large to reflect her being an Egyptian Queen, but it's not complicated and twisted like Atem's. pffffff she would also have images everywhere that reflect her memories. The heart you see symbolizes her having been married to Atem years ago. Half of the heart has her real name and the other is of her husband’s. It’s darken out because she has no idea what his name is. If you're wondering how Atem is able to be there, my friend Shiroi and I have a theory. We believe the Puzzle can let Atem see what he desires. For this, he would wish to see Bast, and the Puzzle would allow him to visit her. And this really comes in handy if Yugi and Catzi are asleep. They would have no issue allowing the Pharaoh and his Queen to see each other. But for this, it's different. They can talk with no one bothering them. Which is why you see the above. Let me say this...I have been wanting to write up a one shot of these two for a long time. I mean, I feel so bad that I never was able to. Reason? I just...couldn't think of any ideas for them. Drawing poses be like waaaaaat? Anyhoo, another Atem/Bast pic. Yeah again, I can't get enough of these two. I also figured it would be perfect for Atem's birthday on July 27th. And yes, I do believe it's July 27th. I have seen people claim it's June 2nd and I never thought that was right. Luckily someone did do some research and have figured that July 27 is the correct date for him. Plus I always feel the only reason people were trying to claim it's June 2nd is because they wanted him to be in the same month as Yugi. Nah fam, I always believed it was July 27th. He's a Leo for sure. XD Anyway, I have been drawing a lot of these two lovebirds lately. I should really also focus on my other OTPs since I love them just as much. But until then...Happy Birthday Pharaoh Atem. :3

Ya know, there are times I can't stop drawing these two. I love them so freaking much. To me, I will always believe that these two are a real thing and no one can convince me otherwise. T-T I saw a poster of Atem in that pose that I had to draw it too and have his queen right beside him. Also one thing to note...I can never imagine Atem being super muscular. I have seen some fanart having him super buff and it just...it doesn't feel right. To me, I think he's more lean muscular. And I feel that makes him way more hot than having him look like some over stuffed couch. Aaaaah these two are so gorgeous... Also happy early 4th of July lmao

AHHH! One of my best pics of these two yet! :D Sometimes I do feel proud of how well my art comes out and for this, I am really happy. :3 Bast looks beautiful and Atem is looking mighty fine himself. Hehehehehehe plus them arms yo. I really like how I drew them. :3 This is certainly one of my favorite pics of these two. And hopefully it won't be the last.

Sometimes, even when a sketch didn't come out so well, coloring it manages to fix it. And I am also glad to keep drawing these two. Anyway, yes, I think it's pretty obvious what is going on here. The spirits of the Puzzle and Wand spend the entire day together. Makes sense because Yugi figured Yami Catzi would be able to help Yami Yugi out of his gloom. Catzi agrees to this plan as well. This date will certainly help with the relationship between the two, especially with their forgotten memories and love starts to surface somewhat. Again, one thing I love about this is having these two fall in love all over again. Atem doesn't know why he wants to protect Bast, but if anyone tries to either threaten or flirt with her, you bet your ass he will step in to protect her. He certainly shows that when Johnny Steps tries to put the moves on her. Bast can dance, though she isn't as good at it as Tea, she did use to dance back in ancient Egypt. Also, this episode would be where Yami Catzi actually finally learns her real name. But her poor husband doesn't. So he's still stuck as Yami. How would they react to seeing they were married to each other back then? Shocked, but try to go through with it. It's pretty much a start to their relationship.

Two nitpicks I have with this...I drew Yami's second belt on the wrong side and I forgot to include the bag Yami Catzi was carrying with her. But oh well...I STILL HATE DRAWING AND COLORING CHAINS!!! other than that, I do like how this came out. And yes, I finally actually drew a background and it came out just fine! I am shocked!!! Of course I did make sure to look into the scene so I know. But hey, take what I can get!

I feel bad for having to neglect these two sometimes, because I really do love them. Developing Bast as well as her relationship with Atem has made me love these two so much. I can honestly feel their love for each other. Even when their memories of each other have been wiped away, their love is still there. It just has to be reawakened. By the time the series ends, with their memories back, their love is much stronger than ever before. Having them to go through so much and realizing how much they meant to each other as well as their friends, it can really tug at your heart strings. I feel the reason I haven't drawn them enough is because I haven't been getting any good ideas of drawing them. I tend to get artist block almost as much as writer's block, and it's freaking annoying. Oh well, I am glad to least draw them here and now.

I'm sure you guys have seen this pose before. It's from the manga, with Pharaoh Atem riding. I decided to ref off of that and have Bast riding behind him. As I have said, these two were close and loved each other very much. Regardless of the danger, Bast would do anything to help out her husband. Atem at first would try to keep his wife out of harms way, but she isn't going to be sitting on the sidelines and letting her beloved do everything without her. It's why they end up in thei Millennium items. I really don't have much else to say here other than I really do love how this came out. The background of course was borrowed, but eh. And yes, coloring all that gold was kinda redudant. But at least it was worth it in the end.

So...I might as well post all my Yu-Gi-Oh! OTPs. Not to mention it's to hopefully clear up like who I ship with who. I have had people think that just because Atem and Bast are together, that must mean Yugi and Catzi will be too. And let me just say, no. That's not the case. While Yugi and Catzi are the renicarnation of Atem and Bast, it doesn't mean they will end up together again. Yugi and Catzi are just good friends.

DestinyLoveshipping (Pharaoh Atem/Queen Bast) – This kinda speaks for itself. I always felt Atem deserved to have a good strong Queen by his side. (Not to mention I never shipped him with Tea…or Yugi for that matter. Seriously…why do people love Puzzle shipping so much? -_-; ) So, when making Bast, I tried to picture of what would be the girl he would fall for. And thus, Bast was born. She’s mature, quiet, strong-willed, and kind. She is also not afraid when facing off anyone she duels. Like her husband, she shows no mercy. I do feel like Atem would love her strong good heart. Her being beautiful is just a plus. Their relationship seriously makes me smile because omg the angst and feels. Ah! I love these two so much. CX

 

Loneshipping (Marik Ishtar/Catzi Kaioh) – I’m going to say this, over the years of me coming back to YGO every now and then, I feel like Catzi has gone through a few guys. First time I made her; she was with Yugi. Second time, with Ryou. And now coming back a third time, I loved Marik so much that I loved the idea of him and Catzi being together. I mean, I already did kinda ship them back then too. The thought of Marik falling for Catzi due to her feisty ways as well as the fact she is willing to forgive him despite what he did. This relationship just makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. CX

 

Guardianshipping (Yugi Muto/Carrie Francess) – I have said it before but, this ship was kinda a crack ship. And this was before I decided to make Carrie a flexible character. Yup, she was still a DP character when I thought of this ship. But now, she is no longer tied to DP and now I am free to have her be any character I see fit. This relationship between the two has developed and thanks to my friend, she got me to love them very much. Just picturing Yugi being such a sweet boyfriend to Carrie just makes me heart melt.

 

Drawnshipping (Joey Wheeler/Yuki Fumiya) – As I have mentioned before, I am not the biggest fan of other people’s OCs. If they are well written and great characters, I am willing to make an exception. Luckily, someone I became friends with who helped me love ships like Guardianshipping created her own characters and she made some really good ones. Yuki is a nice character and I do like her relationship with Joey. Plus, it’s hilarious that she has a crush on him and he’s downright freaking clueless about it. XD Ah, Joey, I love you but man you are dense. I also like this pair way more than Polarshipping. I have never cared for Joey/Mai especially with their age gap.

 

Blissfulshipping (Ryou Bakura/Chrissy Major) – I don’t do a lot of self inserts. XD I have only done it once before and that was with SWAT Kats. But the fact I had loved Marik/Catzi, I felt so bad for Ryou. The poor boy is forgotten so much, I feel he deserves some love and attention. And by goodness, Chrissy would be sure to give him that love and attention. But she is respectful of his boundaries too due to his fangirls never leaving him alone.

 

Warmshipping (Chase Fumiya/Tea Gardner) Again, like with Yuki, Chase is an interesting character. Plus, the fact Tea being the only one to stand up to him besides his sister Yuki would make him start to crush on her. I like to think Tea would come to care for Chase and wishing to change him for the better. Not to mention, I never really shipped Tea with anyone (except with Kaiba honestly) like I certainly never liked her being with Yugi or Atem for that matter. With Chase, I can see this working out. ^-^ Not to mention she would keep him from getting in trouble.

 

Raidershipping (Thief King Bakura/Carmen Sandiego) – When I saw the Netflix’s Carmen Sandiego, I really loved the concept of it as well as Carmen herself. She is downright gorgeous, and I couldn’t help but like the idea of her being with Bakura. Her calm sassiness would go great with his sarcastic ego. Plus, she would probably be the only one to put up with him. XD I can picture the two going on missions and using their thieving skills to keep artifacts safe. Also, this would be after he has been redeemed.

 

Sideshipping (Tristan Taylor/Miho Nosaka) – Let me just say this…I don’t really care for Miho. So why is she in this? Because this Miho is different to what we saw in the season 0 anime. I never liked the fact she is just some gold-digging dense girl. She never seemed like the type to even hang out with Yugi and the others. I know they wanted to have it so that Tea is not the only girl, but seriously. There were barely any good things about her. So, for this, Miho is more like her manga self. She’s shy but caring and quiet. I feel like, if she wasn’t embarrassed by that mean teacher, I think Tristan would have had a shot with her. Plus, I don’t ship Tristan with Serenity. Why? The duel he, Serenity, and Duke had in the Noah’s Ark. Duke didn’t baby Serenity while Tristan did. He acted like she couldn’t do a thing for herself. True it was her first duel, but she could learn and I’m sure Duke could trust her to do that. Tristan didn’t and I feel like their relationship just wouldn’t last even if Joey were to let it happen. Plus, Serenity seems to like Tristan as another brother anyway. Like I said, I know Tristan can have a girl, and I rather be it Miho.

Cheershipping (Duke Devlin/Serenity Wheeler) – As I said above, I ship Duke/Serenity way more than Tristan/Serenity. I just like how he is willing to believe in Serenity and the fact he says in the manga of how she helps him be stronger. I just…awe!

 

Empathyshipping (Seto Kaiba/Ayano Shibata) – Another friend of mine came up with this character after seeing DSOD. Like Kaiba needs some serious help, so she came up with a therapist for him and even ended up shipping her with him. It’s freaking hilarious XD and Ayano is great.
