W-Well… it’s a beautiful painting to remember her by, at least.

You have an annoying habit of that. Although, this one time, I’ll forgive you for it.

It is a lovely painting… It captures her well, especially her eyes. It is ironic, though, that its painter is quite the black sheep amongst her sons.

Yui: When you say “her sons”… One of you painted this?

Kanato: Sakamaki Ryuuto did.

Yui: ( I’m only now learning, that Ryuuto-san is so closely related to Kanato-kun!? )

Kanato: He was the only one of her sons that had no part in her death.

In fact, I believe he attempted to save her…

Yui: ...!!

W-Well… She was your guys’ mother…

Kanato: …Yes. She was.

When I mentioned Ryuuto-san’s maternal bond, Kanato-kun looked incredibly irritated; Can he truly not fathom such a feeling, Of putting everything on the line for family? If not for his own Mother… Would he do that for anyone, at all? Would Kanato-kun do that for me…?
