I'm curious on LietCan, it's definitely one of the healthiest Liet ships out there, but I want to know more about it. Is there any historical context, things from the manga/anime, or just personality that causes you to ship Mattie and Tolys together. (I don't mean any hate btw, just want to know more about your OTP)
It is definitely one of the most healthiest ships for Liet(My Country)
Sadly they didn't have any interactions in canon a lease not yet but they do have a little bit of history which I found out when researching about Lithuanian Canadians and ačiū(thank you)to my Closest friend Caitie/ @cupidcaity

Lithuanian Canadians (18th-21st century)
Canada was one of the first to recognize independent Lithuania (and did not recognize the annexation by the USSR)
Both have embassies in the other’s capitals. Lithuania also has consultants in major Canadian cities

When I first discovered My OTP CanLiet by accident by reading some few CanLiet fanfic's and I love how their relationship was described it and they had a great chemistry and I don't know how to described it to all of in words but It shows you how much I love how they were portrayed together in fanfic's and fanarts and how much I just love them so much 😍😆💖💜💕✨️and that's how I discovered and became a biggest CanLiet shipper 💗 💖 ❤️ 💕 ♥️ seriously this ship needs more love and appreciation, this ship has a lot of good and great potential for good and great fanfic's and fanarts, and I glad that my OTP CanLiet is finally getting some love and appreciation and I glad that my OTP CanLiet have is own week other than besides the rare pair week

Rogers Pass (elevation 1,330 m or 4,360 ft) was “discovered” on May 29, 1881, by Major Albert Bowman Rogers, a surveyor working for the Canadian Pacific Railway.
Girl Guides Canada staggers their registration times. If you're returning to the same unit you get the first window. If you're a current member and switching units (say once you finish Guides and move up to Pathfinders) you're in the second window. Then there's options for girls who were involved in the "try now, join later" thing they do where you can join a unit at the end of the year without having to pay, and you get earlier registration options than someone who's completely new.
Obviously this is a good thing to make sure that you don't have to scramble to stay in a given unit, and don't have to scramble to stay in Guiding. (Hmmm... this makes the girls who would have been uncomfortable with the name "Brownies" all the more of a problem, because if you leave for those two years then you lose your priority registration). But I noticed something interesting. While Phases 1, 3 and 4 all had a single date for when registration opened, Phase 2 (moving to a different unit) has a different date for different provinces. That's something you do because you're worried about crashing the website, not just to make sure those girls have a chance before the free-for-all registration period.
Yeah, 10 minutes ago when the registration opened I had to refresh the page once. And while I got my kid into the unit she specifically wanted, between when I selected the unit for her and when I finished registering her, it went from 5 available spaces to a waitlist. (5 or fewer people but still). I think I see why they staggered it...
(Realistically that's the only group that would need it. There's no rush if you're returning to the same unit - as long as you register before it's open to anyone else, you know the spot is there. If you were doing "try no, join later" then you're probably going to want the unit you were attending, and if they had spaces free for you to do the try now programme, it isn't likely to be a big problem. (Unlike a unit which is known to be the best in the area, so people will scramble to switch to it in Phase 2 registration - which I've done). And new members... again very few people would be scrabbling to get their daughter* into a very specific unit.
I hope the friends who really wanted to be in the same unit as her made it, because it's too late now!
*I'm aware that Guiding accepts non-binary members, but given that they do so under the understanding that they aren't an inclusive organization, they're focused on girls and women and members need to be ok with that, I'm sticking with the gendering.
every time I leave my usual fanfiction stomping grounds to enter the big wide world of "things with over 10k works" I become the human equivalent of charlie the horse who died from overfeeding after being buried underground for a month in the frank rockslide
