Thursday, September 21: Supershine, "Kingdom Come"
Supershine was a semi-supergroup featuring two guys from Trouble and D(o)ug Pinnick, and “Kingdom Come” kind of sounded like Trouble mixed with King’s X for good measure. The riffing and groove were straight out of the Trouble playbook, while Pinnick’s vocals were uniquely his own, but at the same time the track felt a bit more fun and loose than either band. It was simple and unfussy, and enjoyably low stakes.
