Just had a tought (rare) : out of all the S1 NPCs the only one that didnt become crazy on Earth is probably Doug the Intern. Because he have no soul.

Like, if we ever see Walter, Cern, Yeet or Killa they are going to be really fcked up. But Doug ? Probably still Doug.

doug headcanons for the common fellow

-while his parents are very good at making bread, doug has always fallen behind slightly at making treats and snacks. instead, he’s really good at cooking, not baking. he makes all the meals for his parents and when he went off to ‘achieve that grind/die’ they had to use the fantasy alternative to freezer meals.

-doug, despite his attitude, actually developed a small crush on ron since he was a ‘business man’ and doug assumed that meant he was constantly chasing that grind. what a man.

-doug has never had any friends due to him constantly being on that grind— he was actually the top of his class in school and skipped 3 grades— but he has had LOTS of admirers. turns out the hoes love it when you dont talk to anyone and are smart.

AND TAYLOR HEADCANONS !!!

-taylor swift (not that one) doesnt actually know who taylor swift (yes that one) is. when he introduced himself as taylor swift on the internet everyone thought he was using a pseudonym and was just a really big swifty. people started editing him to taylor swift (yes that one) songs

-methinks that taylor actually needs his cane due to leg and back pain. but also so he can put decorations. and his sword. its a triple threat. he has so many small little like. bracelets and stickers and doodles on his cane

-was extremely hyperfixated on ‘old anime’ so now he’s a big fan of sailor moon. he actually cosplays sailor mars. shes his favorite.

-expanding on the last one, he cosplays a whole bunch. AND he has a facebook page full of all his cosplays and the process behind making them— he puts up sewing patterns and everything. what a helpful fellow!!

something really gets to me about eiffel and hera talking to themselves while addressing each other - in am i alone now? and the watchtower in particular. i can't say this to you, but you're still the person i want to tell it to. i know there's no way you can hear me, but if you can...

eiffel talks to himself a lot, and he is very used to being alone with no one paying much attention to the things he says, so i'm not sure he ever realized exactly how much until he was on the hephaestus. in the early days of the mission, i imagine hera responded to a lot of eiffel's asides and sort of embarrassed them both. and then that sort of... shifted. their relationship shifted, they got comfortable being around each other, and eiffel's conversations with himself started including hera, too. i like the idea of that as an establishing moment: that, at some point, there was a first time eiffel said something in an empty room, and hera was so used to him talking to himself that she didn't realize it was meant for her, and he asked her, "hera? are you there?"

i imagine hera still talked to eiffel, too, when they all thought he was dead. with each day increasingly longer and more difficult, that she would vent her frustrations to the empty comms room the same way he would've encouraged her to when he was there. she can't talk to anyone the way she can talk to him, and they just... keep talking to each other, even when they can't. they are so much a part of each other, the voice of encouragement and comfort in each other's heads. for so long, all they can really do for each other is talk, and they maintain that connection even in absence. they ask each other "are you there?" like reaching for each other's hands in the dark.
