Happy November everyone!!!!!
How you all doing? I love November for me it’s the perfect month the nights get darker, the weather gets colder, the layers get thicker and London gets lit up with all it’s Christmas and festive lights. For me I practically consider the pre-Christmas month since everything gets so much festive and cheerful in London. But before we start enjoying November I wanted to look back to October and what products I used and new products discoveries.
Throughout October I mainly used two face primers the first being my trusty drugstore option which is the Concealer & Fix Matify Primer by Revolution costing £8.00, this primer never fails me and always makes my makeup last without getting oily. My highend option I’ve also been using is Porefessional Primer by Benefit £22 , this primer focuses more on blurring pores and helps find imperfections. In a normal routine I’ll either use both primers mixed together or pick one depending on the day but both have not failed me so far.
In terms of my actual facebase I have been using 2 products almost consistently throughout the month those being my Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Foundation £34.00 and my Revolution Concealer & Define Concealer £4.00. I got the foundation as a birthday gift from the girls at work which is so sweet and it’s honestly become my favourite highend foundation it gives me flawless coverage, keeps me matte for ages and leaves my skin feeling so smooth. My Revolution concealer is something I have always had in my makeup bag since I think they first released the concealer if I’m honest. I love the coverage, I love how affordable it is and most importantly I love how it blends with all my foundations regardless of the product. For setting powder it’s no surprise my Fenty Beauty Invisimatte Powder £24.00 is in this picture I have been obsessed with it for months and it honestly keeps my face matte for so long it’s unreal. I also have a drugstore option which is the Revolution Matte Powder £5.00, this powder is definitely a more affordable dupe on my Fenty powder but these powders have a much bigger range of colours so it can give you a little tint of colour. I also wanna give my Fenty Beauty Pro Filt’r Setting powder a little shoutout this month I tried the lavender shade and so far I’m loving it, sets my face perfectly without caking me out.
For highlight and contour I have been using a mixture a brands. For bronzing and contour I have been using my trusty Benefit Hoola Lite bronzer £24.00 to help define my cheek bones and give me a bit of colour. This is probably the only bronzer I can use that actually suits my pale complexion and it’s a miracle I finally found a product that works for me. For highlight I’ve gone back to my favourite are Revolution highlight costing £3.00, this highlighter is a mixture of gold and pink tones and also helps add some more dimension to my face. To keep the theme of glow, I have been using my Fenty Gloss bombs religiously to give my makeup a bit of dimension and shine while the weather has been so dull. It’s been so fun using my new Gloss Bombs from the Glossy Posse Mini Gloss Bomb Collection £34.00.
Lastly let’s chat eyes. My first fav actually goes back to the Revolution Concealer, this concealer makes the perfect base for eyeshadow. It really helps the pigment of the eyeshadows show and last much longer, I find it makes product last as long as a eye primer would normally. Next we have to chat about Blood Sugar £48.00. This palette is so iconic and was honestly worth the hype, the colours are beautiful and perfect for this time of year especially. I’ve only recently got this palette so I’m still testing a few bits out but overall so far I’m obsessed and in love. (And side note the Jeffree Star x Shane Dawson collection comes out today and I can’t wait to get my hands on those palettes). Last product of the this favourites is Mascara. Last month or the end of September (who can remember) I picked up a mascara from Primark for £2.50/£3.00 and since then I keep going back to it. It’s brilliant it gives your eyes the perfect amount of volume without giving you thick spider lashes. It’s also quick and easy to get off without hurting your eyes which is always a plus.
And there we have it folks my October favourites! I hope you enjoyed reading this post and if you made it to the end without getting bored then more power to you.
Lots of love

hey! idk if this is too much effort if you're not feeling well, but if you like I'd love to read what you have to say about your favourite make up products bc I think it's so nice when you talk about that stuff :')
okay i'm gonna separate drugstore and sephora stuff, and gonna try to list only cruelty free/vegan. note i'm fair with neutral tones~!Drugstore:• Elf cosmetics acne control primer is the only primer i use tbh. and their natural glow illuminating and contour palettes are honestly holy grail for me. they're like $5 or so each and i'm love them-- i bought the nyx pro contour kit and it pales in comparison. the palettes are fairly subtle (hence natural) but buildable. elf is all vegan friendly.• nyx cosmetics shine killer. for all of us with oily skin, it's a blessing. put a drop of gel on your fingertip and massage it in where you know you're going to be oily (t-zone, etc), then put on your primer and makeup, or leave it as is if you're not doing makeup. also their liquid lip lingerie lipsticks are gorgeous, they're all pretty nude spectrum. nyx is all vegan friendly, tho their parent company isn't :/• essence cosmetics is good in general for cheap drugstore makeup. clear brow/eyelash mascara. nail polishes. basic contour and blush kits. doesn't test on animalsSephora:• Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette. I L-O-V-E sweet peach collection. Peach palette works with a lot of undertones, doubly so for my neutral tones and green-hazel eyes, so i love it. it's so cute and cheeky and sweet. it also smells like fuzzy peaches and the consistency of the powders is really smooth. no animal testing, but i don't believe its vegan friendly• huda beauty textured metals rose gold edition. OMFG. this is like.... homophobic since it's discontinued because damn... words cannot describe this palette i use it for everything from cheekbone highlight to eyeshadow to giving my lips some colour shifting shimmer google it it's beautiful• anastasia beverly hills brush #12 and modern renaissance. the brush is the dual-end eyebrow angle brush and spoolie, and it's wonderful. modern renaissance is perfect palette for any romantic/lovecore looks-- it's all beautiful golds/browns, and lots of berry shades. if you have green eyes and want them to pop, you need this in your makeup bag.• benefit cosmetics roller lash. it's amazing to make your eyelashes curled and helps them pop, but if i find a good cruelty free dupe, i'm out :/

New Makeup Routine
Instead of rambling on, I’m just going to dive into my almost-entirely new makeup routine and products:
Priming: I’ve really been enjoying the Glossier priming moisturizer, which hydrates but also slightly mattifies the skin and creates an even, smooth base.
Foundation: I’ve been consistently using a new base product that’s sort of a foundation and sort of not, the Dior Forever perfect skin foundation. It has a medium amount of coverage and SPF 35, but it also blurs the skin and lasts literally forever. This is the only base product I’ve tried that doesn’t separate, gather, rub off or fade for an entire day, even when I don’t set it with powder. And the fact that it’s lightweight and has SPF makes it as great for daytime excursions as it is for nights out.
Concealing: I’ve gone back to the very first high-end concealer I ever bought, which also happens to be the most high-coverage and long-lasting one out there- Makeup Forever waterproof concealer. It’s perfect for hiding breakouts or redness.
Bronzing: A year ago I would have literally laughed if anyone suggested I try cream bronzer. Cream products with oily skin? GTFO. That is, until I found the MILK makeup matte bronzing stick. The tube is chubby enough that i just quickly draw a short line in the hollows of my cheeks, blend a little with my fingers and have sun-kissed contours. The color is flattering and it lasts all day, plus is easily blended and buildable. The only downside (if you consider it one) is that it smells a lot like play-doh.
Blush: I’m completely addicted to a new blush that is also a cream product, so the world is probably ending. Glossier’s cloud paint in beam is.... heaven in a tube. The formula is so easy to apply and unlike other cream or liquid blushes I’ve tried it lasts forever and totally wakes up my face. The coral-orange color is so bright and flattering, seriously everyone should own it.
Highlighting: Now that I’ve gone into more cream products I thought I should at least try out a cream highlight, and I’m angry to say that I’ve also fallen in love with this product. As someone who owns at least a dozen expensive and gorgeous powder highlights, I’m ashamed to say that the humble Glossier Haloscope might replace them all. I got the shade Quartz which is a sort of pale pinkish color in the tube but more like a glossy shimmer on the face. It’s a very sticky product, which actually makes it last longer than my powder highlights and it adds a more subtle radiance. Next up I’ll probably try the palest shade, Moonstone or something.
[I’m still using the same brow gel from MAC and mascara from Maybelline. I also haven’t been wearing much eyeshadow]
Eyeliner: I usually buy myself a luxury makeup item for my birthday. Last year was the YSL tint in balm coral thing that I still wear constantly. This year I decided to take the plunge and finally buy the dual-ended Tom Ford eyeliner pen of my dreams. I’ve tried pretty much every drugstore and high-end liquid eyeliner pen, and this one has been hailed as the queen of them all. I love the smaller end for getting extremely close to the lash line and making a tiny, subtle wing, and I use the larger paintbrush end on days when I want a bold cat eye. The formula is smudge-proof, lasts forever and is jet black. Plus the packaging is so luxe I could die.
So there we have it, an almost completely new face of makeup to head into fall with. I’ve been almost completely off liquid lipsticks and other matte/drying formulas, so if you know of any tinted balms that you’re all about, please let me know!

Finding the correct colour foundation for my face at a reasonable price is the bane of my existence. Luckily, I’ve found the Revlon Colour Stay foundation for normal to dry skin. This foundation is a drugstore foundation that offers buildable coverage and a demi-matte finish, as advertised. As my skin is so dry at the moment it can sometimes look a bit cakey even with a moisturizer and primer underneath. It does have some lasting power and I usually only need around 2 coats to create a full coverage look and once set my powdered contour and highlight palettes tend to blend nicely into it. The real draw card though is the amazing range of colours on offer.  As my skin is so dry I do find that the lasting power is a little compromised and it does cake around my nose and fine lines. This doesn’t bother me too much as I don’t really wear foundation or makeup for large periods of time.
As I am quite pale and I don’t really like fake tanning or real tanning it can be quite hard to find a foundation that matches my skin tone enough to be able to work well. I have I think the third lightest shade and it is possible a little too light but it has the right undertones for my skin so I don’t mind darkening it a little bit with a bronzer once it’s applied. The foundations have the same basic colour with 3 different undertones which make it a really versatile brand and they will have a shade that will fit almost any skin tone which is just amazing.
Here are some photos of me wearing the product
As you can see (although these do have a filter on them) the foundation matches my neck and skin really well. There is minimal photographic dryness. and it just works as a really good base to be able to play around with.
The price point for this is really good. It’s around 14-20 AUD for 30mL which is a lot of foundation! It has a pump applicator which is my preference and comes in a solid glass bottle; unnecessary but adds a certain upmarket feel. I’m in the shade buff/chamois, although I could probably go up a shade (apparently I got a small tan?)
Overall I give this foundation a 7/10. As far as drugstore foundations go its right up there. It applies smoothly, evenly and is very buildable. It’s always lasted as long as I’ve needed foundation. It’s not tacky or hard to use and it does everything its advertised to do. I highly recommend this foundation for all skin types and tones as it is just such a good formula.

In Which I Share my Discoveries in Makeup
So I have been pretty shit at wearing makeup in the four months since I went full time and if I left the flat most days I would just smear some concealer on ma face hair and maybe some eyeliner and lipstick if I'm actually making and effort... on some very rare days I would wear a full face of foundation but never really liked it...
BUT Ive had almost a month of feeling really depressed and reclusive and dysphoric and I think that’s partly down to me not really making an effort with my appearance and it damaging my self esteem...
So I've recently been doing self care in the for of cosmetics shopping and am am making an attempt to learn about and actually get good at makeup and find something that works for me... This is what I have discovered:
Foundation:
This is the big one for me. The foundation that I have been using since I started wearing makeup just doesn't really work for me, so I never ended up wearing it. I recently realised it also oxidises during the day so goes a shade darker and a little orange after a few hours - not a good look!! Its also a full coverage foundation that feels pretty heavy, I really don’t like it and so never really wear it...
In looking for an alternative I have found that my skin is actually surprisingly pale. My skin is pretty red and blotchy and i have big eye bags and beard shadow which disguises the fact that my skin is really light (as in lighter than the lightest foundation in most drugstores) which makes finding something appropriate difficult! On top of this, my skin is pretty sensitive and likes to get super oily when I’m in the warm and super dry in cold weather so I need a foundation that is both hydrating and mattifying!
I think I have found a solution though. I am currently using (over a concealer for my beard and bags) a very very lightweight and also very pale CC cream. Its like a super lightweight sheer foundation (more like a tinted cream) which literally just blurs imperfections and hides some of the redness in my skin. I really like this as it basically just feels like you have put moisturiser on your face and it looks really good! Ive also got a powder in a pale shade that I use to set the cream and make it matt.
The sorta grunge aesthetic that I follow isn’t that big on foundation anyway to be honest. Makeup in this style tends to be like bold lipstick or bold eyeshadow but avoids the ‘flawless glow’ skin thing that it seems everyone wants. I guess its a kinda natural face look combined with natural eye or lips that I’m going for, so this minimal CC cream is a perfect option!
Concealer:
This is probably the most important one for me, since I have a lot to conceal! On lazy days, this is pretty much all I wear. I have been using a liquid tube concealer but I think its a little dark for my skin tone and because its pretty runny it can look cakey when put on thick, so I'm trying some new things.
Firstly, and this was a revelation for me, was to cover the dark blueish patches of stubble with red lipstick first. It sounds crazy but it brightens and neutralises the blue tones!! Also because I have really red cheeks and nose it kinda brings that area to the same colour as the rest of my face.
Ive tried a few drugstore concealers, little pots of hard creamy stuff and liquid stuff and the ones that come in a stick that you rub on but honestly pretty much everything from a hughstreet is too dark for my skintone. pretty much all areas i am concealing are darker than the rest of my skin so I want a really bright concealer to combat that. Ive got a liquid wand application one I bought online that is really pale so hopefully that should sort this issue! This bright concealer will probably also double as a highlighter too.
Contouring:
This is totally new to me and I still don't really know what I'm doing. My pale skin strikes again in that pretty much all contour kits I can buy on the hughstreet are way too dark and orange for my face. The highlighter is darker than my foundation!! Also because I'm pale orangey/bronze stuff looks weird on my face so the bronzer used for the shadows is no good.
Instead I've gone with using my concealer as a highlighter, found a pale blush online and I'm just using the lightest shade in my contour kit for cheekbones and stuff...
I really like what contouring does to my face when I get it right, foundation can make my face look a little flat and moon-like so its good to put a bit of shape back in. It can also be used to make stuff look thinner and smaller which is good for feminising features a little :) Blush is fun but I don't need to do this so much since I'm using a CC cream instead of foundation and my natural skin tones show though a little more anyway.
Eyes n Brows
Again something I'm totally new to. For the past ages I have literally just been doing winged eyeliner and that is it. Im pretty good at winged eyeliner now though! Anyway I have started doing a little with eyeshadow and I'm really enjoying it. I have to be really careful not to go over the top and look all drag queen-y but I'm learning. I have pretty deep set hooded eyes so you can't really see it anyway but putting highlights and shadows places can make them seem less deep set and a little bigger which is cool. I think dark bold eyeshadow kinda fits my grungey aesthetic so I’d like to get better...
I literally never wear mascara... I don't really like how it feels and I don't have eyelash curlers so when I do use mascara they don't point up and just kinda cover my eyes and look bad. Maybe I will return to them one day with better products - who knows!
I am literally shit and keeping up my eyebrows but I'm getting better and they make such a huge difference I really should pay more attention to them... I literally just have an eyebrow pencil and sketch over them to fill them in a bit. I should probably sharpen it and do a bit of experimentation with shape but whatever...
Lips
I literally own two lipsticks, red and purple. I never even wore the red one until i dyed my hair black. One is a classic cream stick and the other is a matte liquid. I really really like the matte liquid lipstick because you an be really precise with its outline and shape. That means when i am slightly overdrawing your top lip (my top lip is half the size of my bottom) i can be really precise with the shape. Because its matte it doesn't really fade its either on or off which is great because if you have overdrawn but its faded stuff can look weird. It does mean the inside of the lip can rub off more quickly and you get an ‘only wearing lipliner’ look which can be bad, so it needs touchups.
I’d really like to expand my lipstick collection to more colours and nudes... Since I wear glasses and have short dark hair my lips can look a little lost so I need bolder shades. I hate pink lipsticks on me with an intense passion - they look awful! Liquid mattes are always expensive and I’m always too scared to commit to buying lipsticks in case they don't suit me... I guess I just need people to gift me lipstick!
Anyway I think thats basically it - these are my discoveries in makeup.
In all honesty, once I start e and my skin clears up, and once I get laser hair removal so I don't have to conceal my facial hair Im pretty sure ill hardly even use foundation - maybe just some eye bag concealer and a loose power - Its the lips and eyes where my attention is really, thats the fun bit, and the bit I'm looking forward to expanding on!
Anyway I hope for anyone who has bothered to read this that it has been vaguely interesting or informative. This is literally all just based on personal preference and experience - if you wear loads more makeup than this or none at all its still all good! Like I said a lot of days I just wear concealer or even none at all but those are the days I'm usually feeling like shit about myself so I'm making the effort to lessen them.

Happy Monday!  I haven’t had many plans to go out and do anything lately, which kind of discourages me from doing makeup looks. A lot of the time I am photographing makeup looks that I’m practicing for something I plan on doing an upcoming weekend.
For this one I was inspired by the L’oreal Liquid Diamonds Infallible Shadow.  These eyeshadows are brilliantly pigmented and not mentioned enough.  The formula is super foiled and beautiful with just one swipe.  I like to wear them over a glitter primer and apply it with a damp brush to get the maximum pigment.  Loreal Liquid Diamond is my ideal gunmetal grey shade.  It has a little bit of purple in some light, but is mostly a perfect grey silver that perfectly complements a classic cool toned grey/ black smokey eye.  I added Stila Smoky Storm on top of the lid to give it more sparkle and I really like how this turned out.
There is a lot of great drugstore products in this look- I was making an effort to incorporate them in this look after I finished my eyeshadow. It’s a little more difficult for me to do fully affordable eye looks because my affordable eyeshadow singles are all mixed together in palettes with other brands and I use “high end” eyeshadow primer. I feel like I won’t get through the three tubes of eyeshadow primer that I currently have for another couple years at this rate.
COMPLEXION | SMASHBOX primer, LOREAL infallible matte foundation, URBAN DECAY naked concealer, COTY airspun powder, COLOURPOP topaz bronzer duo, PHYSICIANS FORMULA butter bronzer contour, forgot to put on blush, MAYBELLINE better skin powder to brighten under eyes, SLEEK solstice highlight
BROW | ABH chocolate dipbrow pomade, ULTA brow tint gel, NYX control freak brow gel
EYE | URBAN DECAY eden eye primer, ABH shade + light eye palette (laetus all over, samael & lazarus in crease & to blend everything, shax outer corner & upper lash line, solas lower lash line) TOO FACED pencil eyeliner, LOREAL liquid diamond, STILA smoky storm glitter, ESSENCE i ❤ extreme mascara, LAURA MERCIER plum waterline,IIKONN slay lashes (kimandmakeup code for 30% off), SLEEK solstice inner corner & brow highlight
LIP | NYX pale pink lip liner, STILA caramello liquid lipstick

Cool Toned Smokey Eye Insta Story
Thank you so much for reading! I highly recommend checking out Loreal Liquid Diamond if you are searching for that perfect cool toned shimmer for your eyeshadow collection. One more thing, this foundation has been my favorite to use whenever I do my makeup lately- I cannot believe how flawless and matte it makes my skin look. It will be in my January favorites but I thought I’d mention it here a bit early! 🙂

I used to use like everything maybelline, and since I started watching YouTube I've branched out a little, but maybelline is still definitely my favorite drugstore brand and maybe even brand in general like they're so good What is your one product you can not live without? Mascara. Tbh my quick no makeup makeup look is concealer under my eye circles, mascara, and maybe a little bit of a brow fill in like I could live with those three and be happy. But I'd def pick mascara first What is your favorite makeup look? I love to do a nice full glam I think it's so fun. I still keep in natural ish though like I don't contour and my eyeshadow is usually fairly neutral When did you start using makeup? Neutrogena wipes in the light blue package How often do you wear makeup? Not everyday currently because I'm not working. Maybe, 3 times a week? With usually a full glam look on the weekend if I'm going out

Wet N' Wild Haul
Recently, I placed an order on the Wet N' Wild website then I went to Walgreen's and picked up some more stuff so this haul is all of the Wet N' Wild stuff I got this week. Some of the items are Walgreen's exclusives others are online exclusive but most are available where ever Wet N' Wild is sold so let's talk about what I got.
First, I bought online exclusive brushes. I've been wanting a new fan brush and since I already like most of the Wet N' Wild brushes and was placing an order I decided to just get this one. As I was looking at the brushes, I was intrigued with smoky liner brush so I got it since it was only $1. Again, I have liked most of the brushes I have tried so far so I just decided since I was already placing an order, I would try a couple more that I can't get in stores.
The other online exclusives I bought are the Nail polishes. So technically, the nail polishes were a part of the Holiday Collection but since you can't get these in stores anymore, I'm going to say they are online exclusive. Anyways, I got the shades R-U-Free-2 Dance? And Ninja Lovelace. R-U-Free-2 Dance? Is an iridescent purple/pink/blue shimmer polish and Ninja Lovelace is a bronze brown shade with gold and bronze shimmer. I love nail polish and I love the MegaLast line so when I saw these shades I knew I needed to order them.
I also bought 3 of the Liquid Catsuit Matte Lipsticks in the shades Rebel Rose, Give Me Mocha, and Berry Recognize. So I bought Berry Recognize at Walgreen's but I ordered Rebel Rose and Give Me Mocha from the wet n wild website because I couldn't find those shades at any of the Walgreen's where I live. Rebel Rose is a pinky mauve, Give Me Mocha is a very red toned brown, and Berry Recognize is a berry shade. In the past few months, I have hopped onto the liquid lip trend train and when I saw that Wet N' Wild was bringing these back out in a permanent line with more shades I knew was going to have to try them out. Once, I saw swatches of the shades, these three were the ones that stood out to me. I know a lot of people are curious about these so I will be doing a review on them.
In addition to the liquid lipsticks I bought one of the new Perfect Pout Gel Lip Liners in the shade Never Petal Down. These are supposed to go smoother than their regular lip liners while delivering never-ending color. These are super inexpensive and I usually really like drugstore lip liners over high end so I have high hopes for this.
The next item I bought was the MegaGlo Highlighting Powder in the shade Precious Petals. A lot of people love this highlighter including some friends of mine so I decided to just give it a try. I have been hesitant to try this because this is the lighter of the two shades and it looks like it might be too dark but I will give it a try. I wasn't planning on doing a full review of this but I will post my thoughts on this highlighter to let you guys know if I like the formula and how the shade works for us pale princesses.
Another product that I bought from Walgreen's is the MegaSlim Skinny Mascara. Some of my favorite mascaras have really skinny brushes so I'm curious to try this one and if I don't like it for my top lashes maybe I will like it for my bottom lashes. I also bought the MegaSlim Skinny Tip Eyeliner. I have been slowly getting more into liquid liners but I definitely prefer a skinnier tip on my eyeliners so I'm really hopeful that this is going to work for me. I don't really plan on posting a full review on either of these products but I was going to post my thoughts on them as I use them.
The next and last three products I bought are Walgreen's exclusives. These items are a part of the new Mega Cushion line and I bought one of the Mega Cushion Soft Matte Lip Creams in the shade Melon It Like It Is, the Mega Cushion Contour in Café Au Slay, and the Mega Cushion Highlight in Who's That Pearl (As far as I know, the contour and highlight only come in those shades but since they have names on them I figured I'd better say what they are). Honestly, I'm not really sure why I bought one of the Soft Matte Lip Creams in general because I'm not really a fan of matte lip creams but I really don't know why I bought this shade because It looks pretty orangey and on me orangey lips aren't too flattering. In regards to the cushion Contour and Highlight, I've seen cushion foundations and blushes but I haven't really seen contour and highlight so I was curious as to how well they might work. I did already open these just to see what the shades looked like and I think the contour might be too warm for me to contour with but I might be able to use it as a bronzer but the highlight shade is beautiful. It's a pearly white with a touch of pink that I think will look beautiful on my skin tone. I haven't decided if I'm going to just post my thoughts on these or do a full review so if you guys have a preference let me know.
That is it for this haul, next up will my review of the L'Oréal Lip Paints and my Ipsy Glam Bag should be arriving soon so I will also share what I got in that so until my post.
Later weirdos,
Snow

Revolution Beauty Fast Base Foundation Stick
February 26, 2020
It’s been a while since I tried anything from Revolution Beauty (I’m a sucker for their eyeshadow palettes!) but I decided to treat myself to their Fast Base Stick Foundation and it’s a must-have for anyone looking for a 5-minute natural makeup look (as long as you don’t have oily skin).
*this post contains affiliate links*
Revolution Beauty Fast Base Stick Foundation
This foundation stick retails for $12CAD and comes in only 8 shades – sadly, not a great selection. The shade I selected is F1; a perfect pale neutral for my fair complexion.
Fantastically easy to blend, Fast Base applies best when buffed in gently with a foundation brush and gives my skin a natural, satin finish.
Coverage wise, it’s on the lighter end of the spectrum, but a couple pats with my Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer covers up any bits that I feel need the extra camouflage.
This stick has a creamy-soft consistency and is totally odourless, so no nasty paint-like smells or floral scents to worry about.
I also appreciate that it doesn’t settle into my fine lines or cake up during the day once I set it with my RCMA No-Color Powder (although if I didn’t set it with powder, I think things would go very differently).
I’ve noticed that Fast Base can sometimes bring out my larger pores, but a good pore filling primer nixes that issue for me.
My skin runs a touch oily as the day progresses, but I don’t find this foundation to add to my natural shine or get overly greasy after being set; quite the opposite – I love the dewy, glowing look I get with it by the day’s end, although I’m sure I wouldn’t be able to use it during the hot, summer months without being a greasy mess after a few hours.
Overall, if you’re looking for a budget friendly, fast applying and natural looking foundation, the Revolution Beauty Fast Base Stick is a good option. I’m currently considering grabbing a darker shade to use as a cream contour.

Haii haii haiii good morning selamat pagiii. Makeup kali ini keluar dari tema halloween gengs karna skrg aku lagi ikutan #CatriceIdXIBV #CatriceIdCompetition yang diadain sama @indobeautygram dan kerjasama salah satu brand drugstore yaitu @catrice.cosmetics 😍😍 . Nahh di makeup ini aku mau share my daily go-to makeup. Tapi sebelumnya aku masih harus tetep pake primer krn muka ku yg combination to oily.

This summer I seem to be going on a fair few holidays, which is great for me and my Instagram feed but not for my bank account! In most of the photos of me that I post from holiday are me wearing makeup and I thought it was about time that I did an updated travel makeup bag as I last did one in 2015 on my YouTube channel and I feel like most of my makeup has changed (and it is constantly changing).
I like to have an even base for great photos, however, I don’t like wearing foundation as its just too thick for a hot holiday, therefore I opt for a BB cream. My favourite one is the Rimmel London BB Cream. I personally take the two lightest shades as the shade ‘very light’ is too pale for me and ‘light’ is too dark so I mix both of these together to create the perfect shade for my skin tone. However, recently in this hot weather when using a foundation over here I have used my Nars All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation that has a pretty decent coverage that feels light on the skin. So for holidays to places with lots of photos (like somewhere like Disney) I would probably take that as my base.
I also like to take a concealer just in case I have any blemishes that need covering or my bags are out! Obviously my favourite one along with the rest of the world is the Collection Lasting Perfection in the shade fair.
For powder, again it is a classic one that I think everyone loves which is the Rimmel Stay Matte powder. This just makes a shiny, hot and sweaty face lovely and matte and I highly recommend this one for anyone who loves a matte look, this is the perfect powder to take away on holiday!
In every holiday makeup bag there should be a bronzer of some form. I mean if you aren’t going to use your bronzers in the summer on holiday, where are you going to use them? However, I’m not the biggest fan of bronzers and my collection of them is quite small, so the bronzer I have and use I genuinely use more for contouring, but perhaps I might use it a bit more this summer to add some colour to my face. The one I like to use is the W7 Honolulu Bronzer.
I also like to add a bit of blush to my face just so I can add some more colour to my face so I don’t look completely pale and dead! my absolute favourite one that I have been using constantly is the Too Faced Sweet Hearts Perfect Flush Blush in the shade Candy Glow. What is great about this blush is that there are 3 shades in it, or you could swirl it around to create another colour, therefore this one blush has 4 different colours in it! It also has a tiny bit of shimmer in it too that just makes your cheeks sparkle slightly which is perfect for those holiday vibes!
Similarly with highlight, if you can’t glow in the summer, when can you glow? This past year I admit that I have become obsessed with highlight! So I always carry one in my makeup bag. My favourite one is the Rosie for Autograph Highlighter in Starstruck. I did a review on my blog about this highlighter if you want to check out more about it. This just adds the perfect amount of sparkle to your face which is perfect for those summer looks.
To add a bit of variety I also like to take my Too Legit Contour Kit by Miss Selfridge with me on holiday. This palette has 2 different contour shades, 2 different blush shades AND 2 different highlighters in it. Therefore, I find this palette super useful as it has multiple shades that can make my makeup looks ever so slightly different!
When it comes to the eyes I never do all that much to them when it comes to eyeshadows. I’ve never really been much of an eyeshadow girl, but I do like to take a small palette on holiday with me incase I feel like putting some on! The one I have been taking is a palette by Collection. To be honest the main reason why I take this palette is because of the matte black. I use this shadow the most as I always want to outline my eye with black, so I could use a angled brush with this shadow to create a thin line that just lines the top lid, or I can use it over the top of my liquid eyeliner to firstly make sure it is black and secondly it lasts a bit longer if I use black eyeshadow over the top!
Now the thing that is pretty much a staple in any of my makeup looks or my makeup bags is my liquid eyeliner. I rarely go out of the house without some of this on my lids and my absolute favourite one is the L’Oreal Superliner Perfect Slim in Intense black. I refuse to use anything else as this is seriously one of my favourites! It’s so good and so black and so easy to apply and I love it with all my heart and I seriously wear this everyday!
I like to (try) and have that strong brow game on holiday and my favourite type of brow product is powder. Powder products and I just seem to get on quite nicely, so I always use a powder brow stuff! The one that I use everyday and seems to be the right shade for me is the Tanya Burr Perfect Brows. I use the dark brown shade for my brow and I also love the highlight shade as this also has some sparkle in which I think is a really nice touch for any look!
I feel like mascara is super important in a makeup look now. Personally I feel that it makes my eyebrows from looking super bold and fake to, hmm yeah those could be real! Anyone else get that feeling? Anyways I have always been a lover of mascara and I have to include my new favourite mascara which is just a wonderful thing that does wonders for my lashes. The Maybeline Lash Sensational Mascara is great because I feel like you only need one coat and you are pretty much sorted for mascara as it makes such a massive difference to your eyes.
I try not to take too many lipsticks on holiday with me as I don’t feel like I wear them all that much when I’m away. However there are two staple lipsticks that  have to be in my suitcase otherwise I would feel naked! The first being the Maybeline Creamy Matte Lipstick in Nude Embrace. This is the most gorgeous nude shade I have ever seen in my entire life and I pretty much wear this everyday as I feel like it goes with everything. I also  feel like this lipstick is one of those ones where you question if its natural or not. Which I really like. I also like that it is super creamy as it feels moisturising on the lips which helps when you are in hot countries. The other I also take is the Colourpop Liquid Matte in the shade Bianca. I also love this one as I feel like it is quite a glam natural shade which I personally feel really suits me! It’s also quite nice on evenings out when you are wanting to be a little bit more glam. Since writing this blog post a while ago I have also added another lipstick to my must have holiday collection. It is the Barry M Matte Me Up Lipkit in Go To (I will go into more depth in an upcoming review of this lip kit). I love the colour of this and this is the perfect shade for me to have as it is essentially a darker version of the Maybeline Nude Embrace Lipstick and I love it! It has now officially become my new favourite lipstick of all time!
To finish my look I spritz myself with some setting spray. This is also fairly new to my collection (so there will also be a review of this coming in the future).  Now I do have a setting spray that is a lot smaller and a lot more compact that would probably be better for travelling, however now that I have tried and tested this one I prefer it. I have been using the Rimmel London #Insta Fix and Go 2 in 1 Primer and Setting Spray. I’m not going to lie I feel like this is the best drugstore product I have ever used! You need this in your life if you are going to be spending huge amounts of time without being able to touchup your makeup. It’s AMAZING!
Makeup bag from Primark
So that is my entire makeup bag that I tend to take when I’m travelling, in fact most of it I use on a daily basis anyway. so I guess this is my everyday makeup bag as much as my travel makeup bag!
Any makeup travel essentials that you use?
My Holiday Makeup Essentials This summer I seem to be going on a fair few holidays, which is great for me and my Instagram feed but not for my bank account!

Oh I’ve been sooo excited to post this one! This topic makes my soul sing and my cheeks bling.. Yea.. that was terrible, I know. BUT! Highlight is far from terrible.
Possibly the second best thing about makeup is that shiny, glittery perfection that you smother on the high points on your face in an attempt to impersonate a disco ball.
Now, as an ENTHUSIAST and not an ARTIST, my collection is quite small when you compare it to people such as Lauren Curtis (Perth Based Youtuber), Shaaanxo (NZ based Youtuber) and the likes.
I only have seven highlighters.. and two of those are from the same palette. Mind you, you could 100% use an eye-shadow, but we’re sticking to the products actually marketed as a highlighter/illuminator.
All below swatches are using one swipe of product, using my fingers and straight onto the skin. First image is using day light, second is using flash photography.
From Left to right.
Technic High Beam: this liquid dries faster than I can say “highlight,” so it makes it somewhat hard to blend it out properly so it doesn’t just look like a silver stripe on your cheekbone. However! for a super natural looking glow, this is just perfect. I usually pair it with a BB cream or very low coverage foundation, when I want to have that ‘no makeup’ makeup look. It’s very cheap too. I believe this one cost me $5.00 from boohoo.com
Chi Chi Beauty On the Go Palette — 6A Highlight: This highlighter has a very rose gold tone/look to it. The pigment is incredible! With the swatch above, I used one swipe of the highlight with my finger and then straight onto my skin, and voila! How pretty is that! Now, due to the tone of it, I only ever use this highlighter when I’m fake tanned and wearing a slightly darker foundation. With my natural pale skin, this highlight looks a little odd but it’s beautiful none the less. The Chi Chi Beauty On The Go Palette retails for $29.95 which is definitely reasonable given the palette itself offers 10 different shades of base, highlight, blush, bronzer etc.
Chi Chi Beauty On The Go Palette — 6B Highlight: Similar to the above, this highlight is from the exact same palette and therefore of the same quality. This highlight however is gold and again, would only ever use this highlight when I’m fake tanned with a darker skin tone so this colour would match it better in this situation.
Chi Chi Highlighting and Contour Palette #1: I know, I know.. Another Chi Chi product.. Similar quality and consistency as the other two Chi Chi highlighters, however this one is definitely a much better tone and colour for my everyday pale skin. Look at that glow!
E.l.f Shimmer in Pink: For a crazy cheap drugstore highlight, this isn’t too bad. I’ve had it for a few years now too, and the consistency is somewhat average. The product is very crumbly, and there is a lot of fall out. However, you can definitely blend the fallout in as well and it works quite well. The shimmer aspect of it, is actually quite dull and powder like, so would definitely suit a “no makeup” makeup look more than an all out cake face.
Sleek Face Contour Kit in Light 884: This Pressed powder highlight is definitely one of my two favourites. It’s build-able, silky smooth and easy to blend out. The shimmer aspect to it is just enough and you can definitely layer it with other products if you wanted. At approximately $20 from Australian stores, it’s an average priced highlight for something quite pigmented. Can’t go wrong with that!
and Lastly,
Essence soo Glow!– shade 10, look on the bright side: This highlight is a cream to powder highlight, which allows for it to go both under and on top of your foundation/base. It’s easy to blend and quite pigmented however it is quite a white highlight and therefore I only use it underneath my foundation to give my skin a glow before I cake on the other products. At approximately $5, it isn’t bad!
All in all, my two favourite highlighters are definitely the Chi Chi Highlighting and Contour Palette #1 Highlight, and the Sleek Face Contour Kit Highlight in Light 884. Mainly due to the shades suiting my skin tone better, the quality pigment and the gorgeous shine.
Shine bright like a…very glittery person Oh I've been sooo excited to post this one! This topic makes my soul sing and my cheeks bling..
