One Piece has really made me appreciate how fucking good and necessary a wide age range is for an ensemble cast.
If it was a crew of 10 teenagers we’d have run out of ways to switch up character dynamics a long time ago. Things would feel same-y and far less charming than what we have now, which is a crew consisting of five way-too-ambitious dudes in their late teens and early twenties, a fifteen year old who everyone treats like a baby cause he still has a spark in his eyes, two criminals in their early-to-mid 30s who despite being more mature still let the teens do whatever they want for their own joy and entertainment, a dude in his mid-40s who doesn’t realize that quitting his current job to go on a world tour with a 19 year old he just met ABSOLUTELY counts as a midlife crisis, and an old man so old he DIED. I love you Strawhat Pirates.

East Blue 5 band AU??
Nami: singer (and manager)
Zoro: lead guitar (pretty obvious, he has an extremely obnoxious looking three-necked guitar too)
Sanji: bass guitar, backing vocals (him and nami are the visuals💕)
Usopp: keyboard (also the one who fixes shit)
Luffy: drums (c’mon is it even a question)

I wish Zosopp had more canon scenes together cause just honestly Zoro’s stance in Water 7 had my head spinning with all the different ways a direct heart to heart between the two of them could go down. Cause I think. Zoro has more unshaking faith in Usopp, his skill and his bravery, than Usopp could ever even fathom. But I think. It deeply upsets him when Usopp doesn’t grant him and the crew (and particularly himself) that same faith in return. And it’s a mix of hurt feelings and pride, and this stern sort of anger at the unfairness of it. And it’s juicy. I wanna eat it.

the only downside of having a good poly ship is figuring out how to get them all in one doodle at the same time. So many people

If you’re still accepting drawing idea maybe our favorite sunshine captain and his adoring borderline smitten crewmates?
I always wonder how it feels like to be this close to the sun.
I think everyone should have a healthy crush on Luffy.🥰

Usopp Lawyer Modern Day AU Fic Idea (That I'll Probably Never Write):
- Usopp is a crooked lawyer who doesn’t play by the rules—he takes bribes, represents shady clients, and doesn’t think twice about bending the law.
- One day, he gets an unexpected phone call—he’s asked to represent the brother of an old friend.
- The friend? Monkey D. Luffy. The brother? Portgas D. Ace.
- Everyone warns Luffy that Usopp’s a crooked lawyer. Koby, a cop, even had him investigated, but nothing solid came up.
- Usopp is estranged from the East Blue 5—the group of friends he grew up with.
- Nami is furious that he left when she needed him most. She’s currently tangled up with a loan shark named Arlong.
- Usopp’s ashamed to go back home and considers backing out, but when he sees how much faith Luffy has in him, he decides to take the case.
- Things look hopeless for Ace, especially since Sabo—the only one who could’ve helped—has been disbarred.
- Throughout the story, Usopp has to learn how to fight fair, which proves to be incredibly difficult for him.
- Prosecutor Sengoku is a formidable opponent, and Usopp finds himself not only defending Ace but also helping his old friends out of tough situations.
- Even Luffy ends up on trial for assaulting Charlos, a member of an elite family.
- Against all odds, after a long and grueling trial, Usopp manages to secure a not guilty verdict for Ace.
- Usopp earns the respect of Luffy’s and Ace’s loved ones, including Dragon, Sabo, Marco, Dadan, and others.
