Out of all the decisions made for the film, I would have to say the best one had to be when they introduced Xenk by having him serve absolute CUNT™ and then casually leaving

Excellent observation by others: the fact he took off his jacket like he was about to dive into the water or wrestle the fish but no, he just wanted to be dramatic asf for no reason and then ofc you can hear the players ask the DM if they can smash romance Xenk but they can't. Also the SHIRT?? SLAY!

Okay but now I’m wondering if Xenk took the oath of the ancients??

God this is so good if he did because I fucking love this oath. His dialogue here sort of implies maybe he’s just telling a story as well. We never actually get a good idea of who his god is - I personally went with Tyr and I’ve seen others go with Ilmater, both good choices for his method of fighting evil.

Of course him thinking of this oath has fucking Harper bullshit all over it and I love it. Maybe he thinks these tenets fit edgin? “Delight in song and laughter.” Bard bard bard bard lol.

Ultimately I think this is just him telling a story but I’m super intrigued by this and I’m thinking about writing a fic about it tbh lol.

My favourite scene had to be when they were all trapped with a fat ass dragon trying to kill them as water started to fill up the cave at a dangerous rate and Edgin was desperately trying to plan their escape, and as this was happening Xenk was just in the back chilling and turned on by Edgin LMFAOOO

Like the stare? the smirk? the smile? He has a competency kink please. This man was not at all bothered by Themberchaud or drowning to death because he knew he was safe with a certain 'harper shaking off his slumber' with him, if you rewatch this scene he's just heart eyeing him the entire time in the background, and that's why it's my favourite scene
