so what i will be doing here is reposting my notes unaltered via screenshot, transcribing them, and then describing how i feel now. What do we mean when we say a bimbo is dumb? Are there multiple ways to be dumb?
Tumblr media
In the context of bimbo, dumb usually means "ditzy" -- flighty, playful, and scatterbrained. But "dumb" may also mean shallow, vapid, simple -- focused entirely on superficial and material things. Obnoxious, crass, trashy (classless) behavior could also be considered "dumb". Point is, there's a lot that goes into the presentation of stupidity. General physical clumsiness and aloofness can also be a way for a character to appear dumb. Or subservience and submissiveness. Or childish naivety and innocence. Sometimes a bimbo will be all of these, or only one of these, or maybe even none? Who's to say? What someone considers intelligent or unintelligent usually has to do with their own personal biases, or in this case, turn-ons. It varies from person to person. (Recklessness is an another example of what could be considered "dumb")
I still agree with this wholeheartedly. The debate of whether a bimbo should be dumb or not, or how dumb a bimbo should be, is ultimately pointless because in the end a bimbo will always *appear* dumb. You could even argue that what we've commonly come to accept as "the bimbo look" is actually an extension/reflection of purported "dumbness," a physical expression of stupidity. After all its this same projection that largely formed the concept of the "bimbo" in the first place. The assumption that a woman is -- slutty because she wears revealing clothing, stupid and impossible to take seriously because she's young (see: giggles) or has large breasts, and vain because she wears makeup or has an interest in fashion. "Bimbo," as we know it today just takes this up a notch. "Large breasts" become fake breasts in general. Lip fillers. Dyed hair. Tattoos. Rhinoplasty. Fashion Nova. Botox, acrylics, high heels, waist trainers. Misogyny projects idiocy and promiscuity onto these traits, procedures, items, and practices.
Again, let's take Adam Warren's Empowered for example:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Is Emp a bimbo? To the uninitiated I think the answer would be an obvious resounding "yes". Those familiar with the series may find the question more complex (it isn't). She's not a dumb woman by any means and has her fair share of successes and badassery, but she's also an inept curvy crybaby blonde with big thick lips and a very "slut-tastic" "do-me-riffic" costume.
Tumblr media
Her extreme insecurity can render her meek or oblivious. Constantly getting captured and tied up makes her look like a klutz. And I'm not sure this should count, but she likes sex with her boyfriend A LOT.
Tumblr media
She's also considered a bimbo in-universe. Not by anybody that knows her closely, of course, but its very widely assumed (as is often the case IRL).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It's less a matter of "can bimbos be smart?" or "bimbos should be dumb" and more a matter of how do you prefer a bimbo's intelligence (or lack thereof) be expressed? What do we mean when we say a bimbo is "hyperfeminine"? What defines femininity?
Tumblr media
I think there's two ways to gauge this. Physical femininity - big ass, big tits, clean shaven, soft full lips, etc. Physical femininity can also be expressed through choices in makeup, color, or clothing. Take for example -- drag queens, who can express femininity very clearly while lacking some of the usually associated physical attributes. But then there's also, feminine behavior, the second way to gauge this. Feminine behavior is usually defined by… weakness. Submissiveness. And it's probably why it plays such a big role in this fetish. Feminine behavior can also be associated with gracefulness, gentleness, kindness -- being emotional, dependent, loyal, social, etc -- which are also themes commonly found in bimbofication works. Generally, one of the two (physical femininity or behavioral femininity) will be expected of a bimbo, if not both or a combination of varying degrees (for example: exaggerated soft pouty lips, slutty clothing, and submissive behavior - but a flat chest).
I don't have much to say about this. Yes, I still generally agree with this. It pairs well with my last point and the toolbox theory/sliding scale of bimboism (really not sure what to call it yet) The drag queen example is a little clunky though. I could've just used effeminate gay men in general as an example, and worded it a lot better...
Why does a bimbo act the way they do? Why the look? What does a bimbo want?
Tumblr media
For love. Or maybe it's attention, is there really a difference either way? A bimbo wants to be happy, and what makes them happy? Being adored. A bimbo wants to be able to light up a room through their looks, their personality, or maybe both. Some bimbos are happy making others happy. Some bimbos find happiness through what others do for them. Sometimes the love, adoration, and validation of others is enough. Sometimes it's for self-validation. But whatever a bimbo does, they usually do for themselves.
Tumblr media
Honestly, it depends entirely on the bimbo and the context in which she exists. A mean, manipulative, bitchy bimbo may act the way she does because she wants the respect or power she thinks she deserves. She values herself highly and thinks everyone else should too. A nice bimbo, ironically, might also act the way she does for the same reason -- because she's high value and pities low value people -- she rather attempt to share her value and be kind to those less fortunate in life.
This one has two because I struggled to come up with a satisfactory answer. Reading it back now I don't really see the point of this question. I still believe bimbos do things for themselves, that's kind of essential to me. I think its because of all the (terrible) bimbofication stories I've read where the man's pleasure is paramount. I do think this applies in general but those stories are really what motivates this "rule" for me. Bimbofication, for me, is not about control. I know it is for some people and that's fine but, and I've said this before, for me its more like MC author Pan (aka panwhowrites) said. Ironically, he's not a bimbo author and as far as I know doesn't really like bimbo stuff but what he said once that applies to bimbofication art and writing to me is that his biggest turn on and interest is female arousal.
The second answer I gave is bad because its half-expressed from my memory. It's based off this:
"Bimbos gravitate toward chaotic good, but are easily shaped by their environment: a bimbo that hangs out with mean girls, might easily assume that bullying is just good fun and doesn't hurt anyone; a bimbo that is spoiled by her sugar daddy can easily become a brat. a bimbo is shaped by her interests and environment like anyone else, don't write a walking self-parody stereotype."
which comes from further 4chan notes I never posted but hopefully will soon.

Empowered takes down another bad guy with a full-timer super punch. I think this page comes from a story after Emp’s elevation to full-member status of the Superhomeys. I’m not sure who the defeated villain is, ignominiously bound in cables by the diminutive super heroine after she has kayoed him, but I rather like the meta-human camaraderie between them despite the fact the villain is now presumably on his way to prison.
With thanks to Mats Karlsson for letting me have this page from his impressive collection.

‘The Marvels’ First Trailer Brie Larson Leads an All Female Superhero Trio in ‘Captain Marvel’ Sequel
Tumblr media
‘The Marvels’ First Trailer Brie Larson Leads an All Female Superhero Trio in ‘Captain Marvel’ Sequel Brie Larson is back in the Marvel Cinematic Universe for “The Marvels,” the sequel to 2019’s “Captain Marvel.” This time, Larson shares the spotlight with fellow female MCU stars Teyonah Parris from “WandaVision” and Iman Vellani from “Ms. Marvel.” The anticipated follow-up to Carol Danvers’ origin story takes place after the Disney+ series “Ms. Marvel,” which introduced Vellani as Kamala Khan, a.k.a. the young, New Jersey superhero Ms. Marvel. Prior to the first “The Marvels'” trailer release, the first look at the film was shown exclusively to panel attendees at the 2022 D23 Expo. The initial footage offers insight into the aftermath of the “Ms. Marvel” post-credits scene, where Kamala seemingly swapped places with Carol. “The Marvels” teaser picked up shortly thereafter, with Captain Monica Rambeau (Parris) working as an astronaut for Saber Space Station alongside Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson). When Monica hits a jump point in the space continuum, she morphs into Ms. Marvel, confirming she, Carol and Kamala share a unique set of transformative powers. The official “The Marvels” synopsis from Marvel Studios reads: “Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel has reclaimed her identity from the tyrannical Kree and taken revenge on the Supreme Intelligence. But unintended consequences see Carol shouldering the burden of a destabilized universe. When her duties send her to an anomalous wormhole linked to a Kree revolutionary, her powers become entangled with that of Jersey City super-fan Kamala Khan, aka Ms. Marvel, and Carol’s estranged niece, now S.A.B.E.R. astronaut Captain Monica Rambeau. Together, this unlikely trio must team up and learn to work in concert to save the universe.” After helming 2021’s “Candyman” reboot, director Nia DaCosta will make her Marvel Cinematic Universe debut with “The Marvels” — a feat that makes her the first Black woman, and fourth woman, to direct a film in the MCU. DaCosta co-wrote the screenplay with Megan McDonnell, Elissa Karasik and Zeb Wells. South Korean actor Park Seo-joon, best known for his roles in “Parasite” and the TV series “Itaewon Class,” also stars in the film. Other confirmed cast members include Saagar Shaikh, Zenoiba Shroff and Mohan Kapur as Kamala’s older brother, mother and father, respectively, along with Zawe Ashton in an undisclosed villain role. Goose, the fan-favorite Flerken, will also make a return to the screen. After a delay from this summer, “The Marvels” hits theaters on Nov. 10, 2023. Watch the official trailer below. First Take: The Marvels - two out of three ain't bad
Spoiler free as usual. Because Goose would eat me.
SYNOPSIS: Carol Danvers gets her powers entangled with those of Kamala Khan and Monica Rambeau, forcing them to work together to save the universe.
Ah, the sequel the internet wrote off when it was greenlit. The Marvels is one of the MCU projects which has suffered from Covid delays the most - July 2022 initially, then November, then February 2023, July, and finally settling here - as a direct knock on of all the TV shows on Disney+ (including the vital setup of this movie in Ms Marvel and WandaVision) being displaced due to Covid shutdowns. But even with no cast able to promote it until the early hours of its release day, The Marvels has some promise, but its execution does have some minor quibbles.
youtube
Nia DaCosta of 2021 Candyman reboot fame is in the big directors chair (And also co-writer with Megan McDonnell and Elissa Karasik) on her first major Hollywood, big budget film - and she does an admirable job turning in a rare Marvel film under two hours - a tight 1 hour 45 minutes - that is very up and down. Some elements excel, others feel like hasty rewrites, and some ideas feel a little out of place, those who have seen the film will likely know which sequences I am referring to. It is shot really well by Sean Bobbitt, as any MCU project would be at this stage (with the IMAX kit - something which must be a blessing with the film currently taking the screenings that should've been occupied with Dune 2 had the strike not happened) and of course, the Kamala character isn't the only thing making the leap from Disney+ to cinema screens, as Laura Karpman provides the music just like she did for the first season of What If and Ms Marvel.
Tumblr media
Where this film is saved from the depths of another MCU rant is its cast, and it is obvious that Brie Larson, Teyonah Parris and Iman Vellani get along well, as the chemistry this trio have is damn good. On top of these leads we've got Zawe Ashton, Gary Lewis, Park Seo-joon joining in, with Zenobia Shroff, Mohan Kapur and Saagar Shaikh returning from Ms Marvel, and of course, for the first time since Secret Invasion was torn apart, Samuel L Jackson is back in an MCU film as Nick Fury - along with a few MAJOR cameos throughout the film that *finally* set off future development into Phase 5 (and beyond). It might've been Marvel's worst opener to date, partly because of the strike and the internet's response to Larson - but for the first time in a while, I can see where this is going. Over to you Shawn Levy - bring us Deadpool 3 in a state that's worth the wait.
THE VERDICT
The Marvels is a perfectly fine - not a great - MCU film that gets the job done in under 2 hours. Had SAG/AFTRA not been on strike it would've fared better at the box office, but considering the impact this film - and particularly the last 10 minutes have - on the rest of the Multiverse Saga to come, off the back of Loki's season 2 finale it feels like Kevin Feige, once again, had a long term plan... but we just didn't know it yet.
RATING: 3.5/5

Welcome to aluminum foil hat time with Empowered.
So prepare your patience for guessings and make sure you are not a family reunion because not showing any body part banned by tumblr does not exactly mean it will keep you out of trouble.
Also spoilers, seeing empowered  publically will probably not give you any trouble with your family or source of income but maybe spoilers make your blood boil.
By the way the empowered comic can still been bought all the numbers are available. or can be read partially FREE ONLINE as webcomic officialy. No links here because tumblr has a thing against them. but just put empowered webcomic on your search engine.
Ready? okay then I start:
I have many headcanons, sometimes I even forget them on ocasion until I re reread the comic and remember them again.
This is one:
So remember than robot from space disabled emp with a power draining bondage belt in order to take her the harem of an alien emperor? but after some analysis decided she didn’t made the cut for the requirements, whoopsie sorry for inconvenience you. YOU CAN KEEP THE POWER DRAINING BELT.
Tumblr media
the whole thing was played for absurd comedy (alien robot apologised with tons of words but left her stranded! por emp couldn’t a break) though the belt ended acting a chekov’s gun and fired a few chapters laters..
Tumblr media
To showcase us Emp ocasionally had an uncanny talent to make lemonade out of lemons and basically saved the world from the demonwolf that is basically made of energy. So far I am not saying the readers anything new.
And I am not saying anything new when I point the Demonwolf itself knew about what was going to happen to him, as he lives a very slaughterhouse 5 sense of time. As seen in volume 7. though I am willing to bet the whole acting surprised as his defeat by the belt was mostly a show. He knew perfectly was going on but he is cementing himself as a bombastic speaker with a larger than life personality and this is the first time emp that has is being with a linear sense is meeting her, reputations need to be cemented. Probably not anything new to the readers.
though I wanted to point this panel
Tumblr media
Because I have two bets... either the suit fudged with the measurments in order for Emp not to be taken... which is a thing the suit can do, as so far it can mimick a thoughtstream so well into fooling psychs and machinery, and can make a alien portal access a location that would normally be accesible. It’s within it’s limits.
But a second one comes through remember who told her she had to keep the belt. Did you read volume 11?
Tumblr media
RIVET KNEW! RIVET KNEW DAMNIT! The city zoning is either bullshit or he had a part on it happening because I don’t Emp having to keep the demonwolf in the belt as roomate is just a coincidence.
Hell I am even willing to bet the whole almost kidnapping was a setup for her to end with the exact tool needed for a event of this type! Maybe not, this world has earth as this curious planet alien just feel like using as a playground. But I feel odd that alien conquerors just left powerful tools as souvenirs!
Yes the vortal sword was leased for the entertainment value... but I cannot help but to feel the belt was not kept as “let see what a random person does with it ‘but a “less see what EMP WILL DO WITH IT”
okay tinfoil hat time over. thanks for reading.

Bimbo Types, or Neapolitan Bimbo
(This is something I've previously gone over in my My Little Pony post but wanted to reiterate here.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Bimbo can most easily be divided into three distinct archetypes. The Clown, The Innocent, and The Debutante. These archetypes are not absolute, they come in many variations and their traits can and will overlap.
The Clown, also known as The Free Spirit or The Wildcard, usually shows up as the comedic relief. They can be loud, showy, excessive, and obnoxious. Their sexuality is very self-assured, self-aware, and playful. The Clown's main concern (if any) is having or spreading fun, "fun" in this context being completely up to their individual style and personality. To give a very stereotypical example, a goth clown may have the most fun watching very violent horror movies or playing with spiders. Another clown could have the most fun (Incidentally) causing a ruckus or being mischievous, it's all about perspective, the possibilities are pretty much endless.
Examples of this archetype include but are not limited to: Jeannie (IDOJ), Pinkie Pie (MLP:FIM), Harley Quinn (BTAS), Synclaire James (Living Single), Jayne Mansfield (films and public persona), Elvira, Mistress of the Dark
The Innocent, also known as The Ingenue, is just as the name suggests. Not only helpless but often unaware and wholly out of her depth. Her inexperience and or meekness makes her prone to being taken advantage of. Despite this, she (usually) remains positive, kind, and happy to help. Unlike The Clown, The Innocent's sexuality is typically portrayed as natural, uncomplicated, and unintended.
Examples of this archetype include but are not limited to: Marilyn Monroe (films and public persona), Weena (The Time Machine), Lorelei Lee (in the novel), Elissa Megan Powers (Empowered)
The Debutante, who could also be called The Alpha Bitch, is probably the most popular in the modern era and who you're most likely to come across in real life or on social media. Her sexuality is mainly a means of control. She puts a lot of time, work, and effort into her appearance because beauty is both her business and capital. While she may, at times, enjoy and indulge in carnal pleasure it's far from her main concern. Being the most or unattainably desirable is how she knows she's better than others, how she's able to acquire and maintain control. The Debutante values social standing above all else, to her it's a matter of life or death, she would die without overwhelmingly positive attention.
Examples of this archetype include but are not limited to: Regina George (Mean Girls), Heather Chandler (Heathers), Courtney Shayne (Jawbreaker), Heather (Total Drama Island), Cleopatra Smith (Clone High), Jeannie II (IDOJ), Emma Frost (X-Men), Panty Anarchy (PSG), Ginger (Gilligan's Island), Holly Golightly (Breakfast at Tiffany's), Kim Kardashian, Rarity (MLP:FIM)
These archetypes are combined, remixed, and subverted so often it's hard to find pure examples (I tried my best, and even then this is just reducing them to their base archetypes and do not accurately describe every single one of these characters), but this is a good thing. It leads to nuance and diversity, and many of the most popular bimbo characters are mixed or subversions. Chrissy Snow (Three's Company) is a Clown and an Innocent. Elle Woods (Legally Blonde) arguably includes elements of all three. Romy and Michele's High School Reunion follows two clownish Innocents who realize they were bullied by debutantes. As far as I know, all bimbos exist somewhere along these lines (or perhaps on an axis) but we shouldn't view this as limiting, when you think about it the combinations are really seemingly endless, and I didn't even cover sub-archetypes! Many Debutantes are mean but they don't have to be. Innocents don't have to be completely pliable, you can do (or be) whatever you like, even moving from one archetype to another.

Tumblr media
Empowered is a comic book heroine conflicted in more ways than one. She inhabits a fictitious manga inspired meta universe based in an unnamed west coast city in the USA. This city is beset by super villains and Empowered, whose real name is Elissa Megan Powers, usually shortened to its initials EMP (leading to her vaguely feminist super heroine monicker), determines to join a Justice League style group, called the Superhomeys in order to fight crime following the death of her father. Empowered possesses significant super powers, principally the ability to fire bolts of energy from her hands and super strength, but these powers depend entirely on the ability of her skin tight super suit to hang together which, in combat, it rarely does, frequently tearing and leaving her helpless. At this point Elissa usually ends up being tied up by the baddies and having to be rescued by one of the Superhomeys. All this compounds poor Empowered’s self esteem issues, which are legion, as she frequently becomes a figure of fun in the super hero community.
However, despite her troubles, Empowered usually wins the day, Nancy Drew style, by virtue of her intelligence, detective skills and the extent to which the villains underestimate an opponent they view essentially as a bimbo. This panel is one such example whereby Empowered preys on the villain Tiger Shrimp’s existential fear of the mega villain Maidman, to distract him and then overpower him with an energy blast. Elissa apprehends the defeated and sullen bad guy, tying him up with metal cables, while gently mocking his credulity.
Empowered is written and illustrated by Adam Warren. The title first appeared in 2007 and is still going strong. It is usually published by Dark Horse comics. With thanks to Mats Karlsson for sharing this excellent page.

One of the many reasons why Empowered is the best superhero out there (and her book is the best Superhero comic).  She will not only save the villain’s dumbass henchmen, and try to talk some sense into them about their line of work, she’ll also tailor her disapproval in light of the fact that getting them to quit minioning altogether is unrealistic.
“Just don’t work for this variety of villain, please. For a while at least.”
