VI. Ring
Tumblr media
The ringing of the Sanctum’s bells pealed throughout the Twelveswood, a clear and bright call to celebration. The doors of the sanctuary had been flung wide, and all along the outside steps and the wide promenade spilled dozens of well-wishers and partygoers in the wake of the ceremony.
It was chatter and cheer, spontaneous shouts of laughter and handfuls of flowers flung from baskets passed out by the attendant moogles. Along the flanks of the promenade, large round banquet tables had been set with pristine tablecloths and piled high with fruits, meats, breads, and cheeses. At one of these, a group of companions settled into each of twelve chairs.
“What a lovely arrangement they’ve made for their guests,” a viera woman dressed in a billowy spring dress said, looking around admiringly at the spires and banisters festooned with flower garlands and streamers.
“Aye,” agreed the high-cheekboned elezen woman across from her. She inspected the many neatly arrayed pieces of cutlery and plates at her place setting. “‘Twould seem we are in for a grand feast, as well.”
“The happy couple do not strike me as one of the elite, but ‘tis clear for this day they spared no expense,” said a dark-skinned lalafell three seats down, dressed in the tunic and sarouel that marked him as an Ul’dahn merchant.
“I was speaking to some of the guests, and learned that while the bride and groom are not from families of great means, their friends and companions pooled their time and talents,” the tall and fiery-haired miqo'te Seeker next to him said, tapping her closed fan against her cheek.
“Ever the gossip,” softly laughed a lalafellin man opposite. He was dressed in traveler’s clothes, and among the lot of them looked most as if he had been swept right off the street into the gaiety. “Or I would say, if I did not have the feeling you at least knew something of the bride.”
The Seeker simply opened her fan and hid her smile behind it.
“Well, I think it’s lovely the couple has in turn opened their ceremony for all to delight in,” said a young miqo'te Keeper as she slipped a morsel under the table to the dog settled at her feet.
“Indeed,” came the pleased rumble from the Hellsguard roegadyn who sat next to a wizened hyur. “‘Tis always a joy to have an opportunity to attend these events.”
A cowled lalafell laughed behind her hand as she watched the knot of people cheering and embracing the miqo’te bride and groom at their center. “A shame we can but come to these–with all of us in attendance–only rarely.”
“Were we to do so more often, surely we would be in danger of arousing suspicion,” noted a Duskwight elezen in an elegant white chiton. He took a poised sip from his glass, but a hint of a smile crinkled the corners of his eyelids.
“Who would question us as a free company?” suggested the wiry Sea Wolf woman with dual tattoos of silver-scaled fish leaping along her collarbones. “Plenty of other merry bands gain an informal reputation across the realm for these sorts of things. We would not be unusual.”
A cheer suddenly went up from the crowd, catching the attention of all at the table.
“May the Twelve bless their union!” cried the wedding guests, hoisting the bride and groom into the air onto their shoulders. Both looked abashed, but between one another shared a look abundant in joy and hope.
“Indeed,” said the Keeper, her pale blue eyes shining with mischief as the group of revelers paraded the couple around in a circle. “I think that’s a marvelous idea. Who would like to toast the happy couple first?”
“Now, now, we mustn’t choose favorites,” said the merchant, his mismatched eyes–one gold, one pale–serene.
“Oh, don’t be like that,” the Keeper pouted back, her tail swishing. “There’s no harm in simple well wishes. We would do the same for any other, given but the chance.”
“With our own toils nearing their end, let us share in the joy of these mortals in the time we have left among them,” suggested a man–a Midlander–who wore the purple robes of a mage but nevertheless had the muscled build of a warrior, and was greeted with nods all around.
“Why don’t I begin,” said the Sea Wolf. She lifted her glass. “May the couple be blessed with fair skies and fair seas for all their days.”
“Hear, hear,” said the Plainsfolk traveler, lifting his glass in turn. Each of the companions began to follow suit. “And the wind at their back, wheresoever they may go.”
“Let naught cast down their devotion,” declared the wizened Highlander.
“And the foundations of their bond remain strong,” boomed the Hellsguard.
“For all of time, in this life and beyond,” nodded the Midlander.
“And while they walk upon this earth, may they be blessed with a rich and full life,” the Rava beamed.
“And a warm hearth,” added the Seeker, setting her fan down on the table in order to lift her own glass with a flourish.
The Dunesfolk merchant bowed his head and placed a hand over his breast. “May they never be left wanting,” he murmured.
“Let wisdom guide their bonds, and peace and harmony reign,” spoke the Duskwight, his face haloed with long curls glowing in the sunlight.
“Fates smile upon them,” chimed in the Plainsfolk in the cowl, her own smile writ wide as she brushed the platinum blonde hair from her eyes.
“To a glorious union!” enthused the elezen woman, thrusting her glass skyward so sharply she nearly spilled its contents.
“My, after such beautiful proclamations, do I even have to say anything?” the instigating young Keeper said cheekily. A soft woof by her feet made her look down. “Oh, but of course I will, Dal!” she exclaimed, patting her dog’s head.
She then stood, balancing one hand on the table while extending the other forward as far as it could go. “May their love inspire the realm! To love!”
“To love!” rang the chorus, and an answering cheer went up behind them.

Creative Ways to Use Elite Home Warranty to Enhance Your Home
Tumblr media
Home warranties are typically associated with repairs and replacements for household systems and appliances. While these service contracts do indeed offer peace of mind for unexpected breakdowns, they can be leveraged in more creative ways to enhance your home. In this blog, we'll explore how you can make the most of your Elite home warranty by using it for purposes beyond just repairs.
Home Improvement Projects
You may not be aware that some home warranty plans offer optional coverage for specific items, like swimming pools, spas, or even well pumps. If you're planning a home improvement project that involves these components, consider adding optional coverage to your warranty. This way, you can safeguard your investments and have the assurance that any unexpected issues will be taken care of, saving you time and money in the long run.
Pre-Listing Home Protection
If you're planning to sell your home, a home warranty can be a powerful marketing tool. Offering a home warranty as part of the sale can make your property more attractive to potential buyers. Not only does it provide peace of mind, but it can also differentiate your listing from others on the market. It's a win-win for both you and the future homeowner.
Home Inspection Repairs

This can be a strategic way to mitigate delays and negotiations during the sale of your home. By having a warranty in place, you can address any issues promptly and without a significant financial burden.
Preventive Maintenance

These services can include regular check-ups and tune-ups for your HVAC system, plumbing, and electrical systems. By using these preventive maintenance services, you can extend the lifespan of your home's systems and appliances, ensuring they operate efficiently and reducing the likelihood of costly repairs down the line.
Energy Efficiency Upgrades
Energy-efficient appliances and systems not only reduce your carbon footprint but can also save you money on utility bills. Some home warranty providers offer the option to upgrade your covered appliances to more energy-efficient models. This means that you can use your warranty to make eco-friendly choices that benefit your home and the environment.
Home Renovations
If you're planning a renovation project that involves the replacement or installation of appliances or systems covered by your home warranty, you can coordinate with your warranty provider to ensure your new investments are protected from the moment they are installed. This can be especially useful when upgrading your kitchen appliances, installing a new HVAC system, or even adding a hot tub to your home.
Conclusion
Elite home warranties are a versatile tool for homeowners, offering more than just repair coverage. By thinking creatively and strategically, you can use your home warranty to enhance your home in various ways. From home improvement projects to pre-listing protection and preventive maintenance, these plans can add value, convenience, and peace of mind to your homeownership journey. The Beginner’s Guide to International Global Payroll
What are Global Payroll Outsourcing Services?
Global payroll outsourcing services oversee installment for your representatives globally.
Global payroll services are not just about the payroll estimation; it goes past that. It can likewise incorporate advantages organization, charge documenting, consistence, and numerous different errands.
A solid global supplier offers country-explicit information to assist you with recruiting like a nearby and oversee representatives and project worker installments globally.
Working with a global specialist co-op gives you inward feeling of harmony realizing that you have the right instruments to pay your representatives and charges on time precisely.
On the legitimate side, a global payroll specialist co-op assists associations with remaining consistent with neighborhood and worldwide work regulations. A dependable global payroll supplier knows the ins and outs of nearby regulations any place you enlist.
The ascent of crossover work is extraordinary information for companies keen on developing their ability pool. Associations ready to recruit remotely have the advantage since they can source work up-and-comers from anyplace on the planet. Borders are presently not an obstruction to enlisting and onboarding the most elite. Such is the magnificence of half breed and remote work models. As extraordinary as extending your up-and-comer arrive at sounds, it accompanies its own arrangement of difficulties. Payroll can currently be convoluted when homegrown workers are concerned (tax documents aren't precisely fun). However, worldwide global payroll is considerably trickier. You currently need to consider angles like neighborhood work guidelines, charge regulations, information consistence, and IP move. With such countless new factors to inspect, knowing how to the opening shot your global payroll venture is a test. The following are the principal moves toward take as you plunge into global labor force extension waters.
Grasp the distinctions among project workers and all day representatives
You can recruit global individuals to join your organization either as workers for hire or full-time representatives. You must comprehend the distinction between these two sorts of recruits since it impacts the worldwide global payroll process. What's more, on the off chance that you misclassify a specialist, you're seeing expected fines and, surprisingly, criminal punishments.
A project worker is ordinarily a free specialist with the opportunity to direct their functioning hours. Workers for hire are normally recruited to partake in occasional or one-off projects and are less engaged with organization culture than full-time representatives. From a worldwide global payroll point of view, project workers are more straightforward to deal with. While workers for hire will generally be recruited for momentary ventures, full-time representatives are welcomed on under the assumption for a drawn out relationship with the organization. At the point when you enlist full-time workers, you're committed by regulation to pay for and keep every one of the duties recorded above, as well as to give benefits, including medical coverage, debilitated leave, and took care of time. Assuming you enlist workers globally, you need to follow neighborhood assessment and employment regulations. (Note that a portion of those regulations might apply to project workers, as well, contingent upon the country.)Companies that need to grow to global recruiting could take a gander at these distinctions and choose to employ everybody as a self employed entity. The absence of duty commitments might sound engaging. In any case, if you need to construct a steadfast labor force that adds to your organization's progress in the long haul, you really want to offer specialists valid justifications to stay with your association. That incorporates benefits, binds to organization culture, and valuable open doors for development.
Pick your global employing arrangement
There are a few courses you can take to enlist representatives across borders. The best answer for your organization relies upon various elements, yet the main contemplations are your association's staffing and monetary assets, long haul objectives, how rapidly you need to recruit, and what nations you need to employ in.
Open a neighborhood auxiliary. A neighborhood auxiliary is an organization claimed by your organization, laid out in another country. This is likely the most popular arrangement. To enlist a few group from a particular area, and you need to fabricate a neighborhood presence there as a business, nearby auxiliaries are a decent choice. Notwithstanding, they accompany huge expenses. You need to imitate the interior construction of the first organization in each auxiliary. You likewise need to recruit neighborhood attorneys, bookkeepers, and HR experts and manage more mind boggling charges in your nation of origin.
Set up a branch office. A branch office is an expansion of your organization, yet in contrast to an auxiliary, it's anything but a different legitimate substance. You don't have to record separate government forms or agree with nearby duty regulations. The greatest impediment of branch workplaces is that you can't set one up in each nation in the event that your nation doesn't have an expense concurrence with the country where you need to set up a branch. If there's where you have any desire to enlist from that doesn't permit you to set up a branch, you'll need to investigate different choices.
Global payroll services
Global payroll specialist co-ops take care of organizations, everything being equal, offering completely oversaw or totaled payroll handling services. The best global payroll suppliers offer a scope of payroll services, up to completely overseen outsourcing. Some might considerably offer expanded HR services, and many can incorporate with your HCM or HRIS innovation.
Geniuses of global payroll suppliers:
Payroll specialist organizations obviously spend significant time in giving payroll services — not creating innovation. These suppliers can offer significant mastery while building and advancing payroll techniques across different nations.
Payroll consistence is no joking matter, and it just gets more convoluted as your organization extends your global labor force across new regions. In the event that you want backing to keep on top of nearby guidelines and limited payroll, you will need to pick a global payroll specialist organization.
Payroll suppliers offer the most adaptability for payroll services — without attaching extra HR arrangements. If simple and consistent payroll is your essential concentration, it's an easy decision.

Your lungs burned as you kicked your legs in a desperate attempt to rise to the surface. ‘Just a bit further,’ you thought, pushing your aching muscles to their limit. Your eyes fluttered shut in relief as your head rose above the disturbed body of water. Tiredly reaching out to the tiled floor, you heaved yourself out of the pool, planting yourself on the edge as you caught your breath. Your shoulders slumped in exhaustion as an obnoxiously loud whistle left you wincing, while reluctantly rising to follow the source of the sound.
“Y/n!” A voice called from behind you, followed closely by an arm draping loosely over your shoulder. Looking up to the girl who towered over you, a brief smile flickered across your face. She reflected it with a brighter one of her own, tinted red lips parting to reveal her perfectly straight pearly whites. “You’re getting faster every day, you’ll be winning gold before you know it.” Sooyoung praised you, effectively pulling you from your daze. “We both know I’ll never be as good as you,” you dismissed her claim.
“Alright, enough chit chat!” Your swim coach shouted now that everyone had gathered before her. “As I’m sure you all know, next week we’ll be selecting the participants for the relay race.” Hyoyeon paused, gaze flickering over the group, ensuring that she had everyone’s attention. “The top four individuals with the fastest time for the one-hundred metre races will be selected. You should all be training more than usual given the circumstances, I expect the best from each and every one of you.”
With that, she turned on her heel, dismissing the team with a lazy flick of her finger. The tension among the group left idly standing there was so thick that one could slice it with a knife. It became abundantly clear it was every person for themselves by the darkened gazes of the swimmers. ‘So much for being a team,’ you thought, rolling your eyes as you resisted scoffing. “I’ll leave the pool unlocked tonight for those of you who would prefer to get some practice in after classes.” Bang Chan, you swim team captain said, ushering everyone into the changing rooms.
You followed the girls into the changing rooms, keeping quiet as they chucked about god knows what. Brushing past them, you made a beeline for the showers, the chill of the droplets that lingered on your damp skin leaving you shivering. You breathed a sigh of relief as the steaming hot water cascaded down your body, rinsing the chlorine from your hair. Blocking out the muffled chatter from Sooyoung and Yves, you shut your eyes, momentarily succumbing to the darkness your body longed for.
The faint ringing in your ear alerted you of the start of class, huffing, you begrudgingly turned off the steam of flowing water. You swiftly pat your body down with a white towel, rushing to pull on the fitted uniform. Stumbling out of the changing room as you fiddled with the last few buttons of your shirt. You were so busy fiddling with your tie that you almost failed to notice the discarded duffle bag atop one of the benches. Glancing over your shoulder, you searched for any lingering teammates. The sight of an eerily still pool greeted you, no one in sight.
Upon closer inspection, you instantly recognised the bag, now able to identify its owner. A shining metal in its side pocket catches your eye, shimmering in the luminescent lights. Groaning, you gazed at your watch, ‘I’m gonna be so late,’ you accepted defeat. Giving the area another once over, you decided to make your way to class, leaving the duffle bag in its place. Enjoying the peaceful silence of the academy without any students in sight, you took your time strolling to class.
Arriving in front of the door of your class, you knocked softly on the large oak door. It swung open not a minute later, the eyes of your peers burning holes into the side of your head. “Mr Kim,” you greeted with a nod, arms hanging loosely by your side. “Is there a reason for your tardiness, Miss Kim?” He questioned, raising an unimpressed brow. Peering over his shoulder, you caught sight of your teammate Sooyoung, who’d managed to make it to class perfectly on time despite practice running late.
Sighing, you simply shook your head, crossing your arms over your chest. “I’ll let Headmistress Kim have the pleasure of dealing with you,” he said, handing you a slip of paper before slamming the door in your face. You narrowed your eyes, glaring at the place he once stood. Your eyes skimmed over the scribbled handwritten note on the paper, addressed directly to your Headmistress. ‘Inability to be punctual and breaking the school dress code,’ you scoffed at the words, scowling as you shuffled down the hall.
Upon reaching the Headmistress’s office, you made your way over to her secretary. “Name and note,” she said monotonously, not even sparing you a glance as she continued to tap at the keys of her computer. “Kim Y/n,” you stated, sliding the slip of paper across her desk. “Have a seat, Headmistress Kim will be with you shortly.” Following her instructions, you dropped your bag by your feet, plopping yourself down on one of the several empty chairs. Scanning the room, you couldn’t help but roll your eyes at the sight where dozens of pretentious awards hung on the walls.
You strained your ears at the sound of muffled shouts, unable to fight off your curiosity. Much to your disappointment, no distinct words could be made out through the school's thick walls. Just as your interest began to fade, the double doors dramatically slammed open, revealing an extremely displeased Jennie Kim. As if sensing your gaze, she snapped her head in your direction, glaring daggers at you. “What are you looking at?” She growled, seething with anger as she stormed off without another word. The Headmistress then peaked her head out, eyes finding you in a matter of seconds.
“Miss Kim, to what do I owe the pleasure?” the Headmistress spoke politely, leading you through the same doors a certain brunette has just charged through. “My apologies for keeping you waiting,” she sent you a smile, closing the doors behind you for some privacy. Pearching herself on the edge of her desk, she motioned for you to sit down. “What’s got her all riled up?” You questioned, refusing her offer to be seated. “I’m afraid I can’t disclose that information,” Taeyeon said sternly, a frown forming on her face.
Glancing at the slip of paper her secretary handed her, the Headmistress looked at you with furrowed brows. “It says your disobedience caused a scene, interrupting Mr Kim Heechul’s class.” She read the note aloud, crumpling it up before carelessly tossing it in a nearby bin. “I’ll let you off with a warning this time, just make sure it doesn’t happen again.” She ordered, leaning over to tug on your tie, adjusting it to sit neatly around your neck. Her actions urged a flurry of repressed memories of the past to swarm your mind.
“Please stay out of trouble, Y/n,” she begged, chocolate eyes swirling with concern. “Whatever you say Headmistress Kim,” you recovered, the light stutter going unnoticed by the older women. “Don’t call me that,” she frowned, hurt reflecting on her features. “What else am I supposed to call you,” you began retreating, ignoring her hopeful stare. “You used to call me Taeyeon unnie,” she reminisced, suddenly blinking back tears that threatened to fall. “That was a long time ago, Headmistress Kim,” you muttered emotionlessly, slipping out of the office wordlessly.
~~
You lay aimlessly on your back, arms floating by your side. Gazing up at the night sky, you couldn't help but admire the shining stars. The moon illuminated the swimming centre, its dull glow glimmered against each ripple of water. Letting your head fall back, the water began to engulf your body as you sank to the pool floor. It was always peaceful down here, granting your mind a rare moment of peace from the world. The silence gave you an escape, allowing you to let your guard down.
Feeling your throat begin to constrict from the lack of oxygen, you blow out a puff of air, bubbles rapidly rising above you. Kicking yourself off the tiled floor, you follow the bubbles to a source of life, gasping a breath of air upon reaching the surface. Paddling to the edge, you clung onto it for dear life, your heavy breathing echoing throughout the empty swimming centre. Finishing up evening practice, you swam over to the ladder, the cold air of the night sending a chill down your spine.
Far too exhausted to complete your usual routine, you skipped the shower, knowing you’d regret it when you would awake with tangled hair the next morning. For now, your mind was set on diving into nothing but your bed as you tugged a hoodie over your head. Your damp hair tickled your neck, a puff of air passing through your lips as you pushed the glass door open. The breeze left you shivering, stuffing your hands into your pockets in search of warmth. To make matters worse, the dorms were on the opposite side of campus.
Increasing your pace as the temperature began to drop, you followed the dimly lit path across campus. The trees waved in the wind, leaves rustling as they shook on their feeble branches. The sound of hushed whispers and faint giggles drew your attention away from nature, straining your ears to better make out the voices. Stepping off path, you followed the murmurs, coming to a stop near the languages building. Peaking around the corner, you caught a glimpse of two people, before quickly retreating, eyes wide in shock.
Mr Kim Heechul had a young female pressed against the building's wall, their lips locked in a passionate kiss. Fighting the urge to gasp at the scandalous sight, you covered your agape mouth. What caught you off guard wasn’t your teacher partaking in such acts on school grounds, but the person he was with. Although you couldn't make out her face, the familiar plaid skirt paired with the academy's signature blazer was a dead giveaway. Mr Kim was having an affair with a student.
Giving the area a once over, you quickly found that there were in fact no security cameras behind this particular building. Unfortunately, they weren’t smart enough to keep quiet and hadn’t accounted for curious students much like yourself. If you were anyone else, this would’ve been captured on camera and spread through the school like wildfire. ‘Knowledge is power,’ you thought to yourself, a sinister smile spreading across your face. Oh the things you could do with this newfound information, the only problem being that you had no proof.
Inconveniently, you’d opted not to bring your phone with you this morning, leaving you deviceless for the day. ‘Lucky them,’ you thought, they’d be glad to know their little secret was going nowhere. You chuckled at the thought, whistling cheerily as you strolled away from the scene with a pep in your step. A new found interest in Mr Kim sparked within you, he’d always irritated you, but you had a feeling that would soon come to a halt.
“Do you hear that?” Mr Kim’s mistress whispered, pulling away from his embrace with a look of panic reflecting in her eyes. He quickly shook his head, too caught up in the moment, rushing back to press his lips to her once more, addicted to her taste. But she pushed him back, sinking her lips into her bottom lip in concern, glancing around the area. The faint whistled tune in the distance alarming her, eyes widening as she shooed him, forcing him to take a look.
His mistress squeezed her eyes shut in fear, heart beating a mile a minute as she anxiously awaited the results of his inspection. Heechul sauntered back to her, laid back a smile on his lips as he affectionately pecked her cheek. “Nothing to worry about, darling.” He grinned, his mistress breathing out a relieved sigh. “Now, where were we?” He questioned, connecting their lips once more, but she just couldn't seem to shake off the lingering feeling of unease.
~~
The buzz of your blaring alarm jolted you from your deep slumber, heart racing in your chest. Huffing, you snoozed it, rolling onto your side and tugging the covers over your head. “Come on. You’re going to be late again,” all warmth was suddenly ripped away rather harshly, your blankets lay strewn on the floor. “That’s not fair!” You whined, rubbing the sleep from your eye before turning to glare at your roommate. “Don’t give me that look, I’m only saving you from another scolding from the Headmistress.” She held her hands up in defence, going back to making her own bed.
“Why do they have to make class so early at private academies?” You groaned, reluctantly rising from your comfortable mattress. “You better get ready, or I’ll leave without you again,” Sooyoung threatened, tossing a clean uniform at you. Catching it with your face, you scowled at the tall girl before scurrying off to the bathroom. Quick to finish your morning routine, you stepped out of the bathroom, checking your watch with a triumphant smile. “I think this is the earliest I’ve ever been!” You cheered, a chuckle escaping Sooyoung’s lips as your antics.
“No time for chit chat, you know how Professor Jung is about punctuality.” She stepped out the door swiftly, leaving you to stumble behind her like a lost puppy, scrambling to lock the door and keep up with her. “How are you so fast?” You complained, jogging to catch up to her. “It’s the long legs,” she grinned, smoothly wrapping an arm around your shoulders. “Shall I start referring to you as a giraffe?” You joked, yelping as she pinched your shoulder. “Call me babe instead,” Sooyoung leaned down to whisper in your ear, her breath leaving goosebumps on your skin.
“You’re such a flirt!” You groaned, pushing her away, hoping that the heat rising to your cheeks wasn’t visible to her. The pleased look paired with the smirk that rested on her lips, told you she knew the effect of her words. Laughing at your miserable attempt to act unfazed, she linked her arm with yours pulling you along to Professor Jung’s class. She managed to get you there a full ten minutes early, excusing herself to greet some of her friends. You lingered in the hallway outside the class, two figures in the distance catching your attention.
Mr Kim was alone with a student, it only brought you right back to the night before, you squinted your eyes to see if she shared any similarities to his mysterious mistress. Upon closer inspection, you realised just who it was, Yoo Jimin. Although she shared similarities to his mistress, her hair was considerably longer, shinier even. Besides, she looked uncomfortable just speaking with Mr Kim, you noted. “Jimin!” You called her name without a second thought, seeing a look of relief wash over her face. Smiling, she waved you over, ignoring the look of irritation on Mr Kim’s face.
“Come on, class is about to start!” You reminded, pulling her away from Mr Kim without another word. ‘He sure does have a type,’ you thought, shaking your head in disbelief. Jimin uttered a small ‘thank you’ before entering the class, ashamed to be saved from such a situation. You merely sent her an assuring smile, waiting for her to leave before glancing over your shoulder. Your eyes met Mr Kim’s from across the hall, his eyes narrowed as he openly glared at you, a look of disgust plastered on your face. Rolling your eyes, you turned on your heel, entering the classroom just mere moments before Professor Jung arrived.
~~
The day breezed by in the blink of an eye, before you knew it you were taking the familiar path back to your dorm room after yet another late night swim practice. The faint hum of music from your headphones was briefly interrupted by a buzz of your phone, alerting you of an upcoming schedule. Slowing to a stop, you took a seat on a stray bench below a cherry blossom tree, your favourite. Withdrawing your phone from where it resided in your jersey pocket, you glanced at the screen lit up with notifications.
Huffing, you silenced your phone, ignoring the rapidly flowing messages regarding grades, test dates and more. Instead you focused on the untouched natural beauty of the academy, your seat giving you a perfect view of the campus gardens. A smile graced your lips at the sight, it was so captivating, allowing you to forget about your troubles for a fleeting moment of peace. You could’ve sworn it was hypnotising, finding yourself unable to look away. Adding to the picture perfect scene before you, the stars twinkled brightly in the cloudless sky, moon lighting up the gardens with its dim glow.
A sudden blinding flash of light pulled your attention from outer worldly sight, blinking in confusion as you turned your head in search of its source. Kim Yerim stood awkwardly, camera in hand and blushing profusely. Tilting your head, you raised an inquisitive brow, watching with an amused grin as she realised what she’d done. “I’m sorry, it’s just.. You’re really pretty and the cherry blossom petals are falling around you..” She rambled, your body shaking with a mirthful chuckle.
Yerim’s cheeks reddened further at your melodious laughter, ducking her head in embarrassment, eyes glued to the stone path, insistent on avoiding your gaze. Calming down from your fit of giggles, you rose to your feet, taking a step closer to the abashed photographer. “What brings you here at this hour?” You changed the topic, feeling remorseful. Taking a moment to compose herself, the flustered girl before you finally looked up to meet your gaze, a pink tint lingering on her cheeks.
“It’s the best time to take photos since there’s usually no one about this late,” she answered, anxiously fiddling with the straps of her camera. “My apologies for interrupting,” you teased, Yerim immediately shaking her head. “No! You didn’t interrupt at all, if anything I should be glad I saw you, this is by far one of my best shots this week.” She began to ramble once more, only pausing once she noticed the smirk that tugged at the corner of your lips. She sent you a sheepish grin, running a hand through her hair at the thought of embarrassing herself further.
“So you’re always out here taking photos this late?” You questioned, looking at the photographer with curiosity dancing in your eyes. “Yup, same time every night,” she nodded enthusiastically, passionate about pursuing photography. “So, do I get to see this ‘best shot of the week’?” You questioned, leaning tauntingly closer to her. “I have to develop the photos in the photography club's darkroom, which isn’t unlocked this late. If you don't mind waiting, you’re welcome to stop by anytime..” Yerim offered, a shy smile adorning her features.
“That sounds good, I’ll stop by after class. Are you heading back to the dorms now?” You asked, lifting your finger to point to the nearby building. Nodding in affirmation, Yerim gave you a questioning look as you began walking off. “Are you coming?” You inquired, looking over your shoulder to witness her scrambling to catch up with you. Slowing your pace, you waited for her to fall into step with you, stuffing your hands into your pockets. Entering the building side by side, you took the elevator, discovering that you shared the same floor.
“Well, this is me,” Yerim mumbled rather begrudgingly, stopping before one of the numerous identical doors. “I’ll see you tomorrow, Yerim.” You said, amused by the way her face lit up at the mention of it. “Goodnight, Y/n,” she waved at you, a giddy smile stuck on her lips. “Goodnight,” you replied, beginning to walk towards your own room. “Yerim!” You called suddenly, catching her just before she closed the door. “One more thing..” You started as she gazed at you, curiously awaiting your continuation.
“You’re also really pretty.”

Important: Joy will be referred to as Sooyoung, while Yves will be referred to by her stage name Yves, as they both share the same real name and it will be easier to tell the two apart this way. There is also another reason behind this, which will be revealed later in the story.

So, I’ve been spending my long weekend working on a King!Steve x Reader x Knight!Bucky smutty one-shot. I am probably having way too much fun with it as we’re already more than 4.5K words in and are just barely getting to the smutty bits.
I’m not sure if I’ll be able to finish by tomorrow, so I thought it would be fun to share this one part with you.
Please enjoy responsibly...
Tumblr media
He releases his hold from your waist and steps back giving a long sweep of his gaze over your figure. “First you must present yourself to your King for inspection.”
Your teeth sink into your lower lip, a thrill of excitement running through you at the prospects of that. A teasing smirk tilts your already kiss swollen lips. Your hands fall to the tie at the front of your robe and your hips sway with every step you take backward toward the gigantic bed that’s centered against the back wall. “You both truly believe that I’ve been naughty, don’t you?” They follow your movements with heated eyes and tense shoulders. Two elite hunters after their delectably sweet prey.
With a slow tug, you free the knot at your waist. In one move, the dressing gown is pushed from your shoulders and pools delicately at your feet. The two men look poised and ready to pounce as your naked body is instantly bared to them. Taking it one step further, the back of your knees hit the cushioned bench at the foot of the king’s bed. You lower yourself elegantly onto the soft cushions before leaning back to prop your elbows up on the foot of the plush mattress behind you.
Your gaze flickers between two sets of gorgeous eyes in varying shades of molten blue. You settle back on those of your king. You continue to hold his gaze as your knees lift and pull apart until your feet are settled on the top edge of the bench as far spread as you can allow with your thighs stretched open. “I surrender myself to the king’s inspection.”
That’s all for now! Hope it’s enough to drum up some interest. And just for kicks, here’s a gif that partially inspired this scene.
Gotta love a woman that still manages to have that much BDE when her pussy is on full display.

Spectral riders are another special creation of the skull lords. Raised from the bodies of great warriors, both righteous and cruel, they are twisted and conscripted into the service of the triple-headed skeletons and used as bodyguards or elite strike agents. Despite the life-like appearance they can take, they are actually mostly ghosts possessing the armor and weapons of the warrior and creating the form of a mounted warrior. The mount and rider are not separate creatures, instead being a shared projection of the undead's essence, and the rider is actually entirely incapable of dismounting, somewhat limiting its ability to traverse tight areas. The ability to briefly turn incorporeal as it moves lets it maneuver a little better, but a careless spectral rider that allows its momentary incorporeality to wear off while it is within a wall or other solid object gets destroyed as soon as it reforms, so they very rarely risk passing through any but the thinnest walls.
A spectral rider makes for an excellent leader of a skull lord's lesser minions, as it can bolster other nearby creatures against attempts to turn them, and the desecrating aura surrounding it lashes out at the holy symbols of its foes. Those who cannot assert their faith and personal strength against the rider's disdain find their symbol melting to painful acid in their hands, burning them and removing their ability to channel holy powers. While spectral riders are difficult to raise, a skull lord may be willing to send its rider on a suicide mission to try and destroy the holy symbols of groups of clerics or paladins in order to weaken them before the following assault with the rest of the skull lord's minions.
Originally from the 3.5 Monster Manual V, though I was actually really disappointed with that stat block. It might as well have been called the spectral pedestrian, since it got literally no real benefits from being mounted. Didn't even carry a lance in that version. So here's mine where it's actually defined by being a rider. This post came out a week ago on my Patreon. If you want to get access to all my monster conversions early, as well as a spot on the Paper and Dice Discord server, consider backing me there!

Unless the spectral rider is incapacitated, it and undead creatures of its choice within 30 feet of it have advantage on saving throws against effects that turn undead. Any unattended nonmagical holy symbol in that area immediately dissolves into an acidic pool at the end of the spectral rider's turn. A creature carrying a nonmagical holy symbol that starts its turn in that area must succeed on a DC 15 Charisma saving throw or it takes 3 (1d6) acid damage and its holy symbol is destroyed. Ghost Shift. As a bonus action, the spectral rider can become incorporeal during its movement until the end of its turn. While incorporeal, it can move through other creatures and objects as if they were difficult terrain, and opportunity attacks against the rider have disadvantage. If the spectral rider ends its turn inside of an object, it is immediately destroyed. Trampling Charge. If the spectral rider moves at least 20 feet straight toward a creature and then hits it with a lance attack on the same turn, the target takes an extra 10 (3d6) piercing damage and must succeed on a DC 15 Strength saving throw or be knocked prone. The illusion ends if the spectral rider takes a bonus action to end it or if it dies. The changes created by this effect include tactile and olfactory elements. A creature must take an action to visually inspect the illusion and succeed on a DC 20 Intelligence (Investigation) check to recognize the illusionary disguise.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Chapter 34:
Eishirou found himself listening closely to the forest noises around them as he kept a close eye on his tablet. He could hear the sounds of frogs croaking and the buzzing of insects. He wondered briefly if there had been such noises during the time that ShadowDweller had been stalking them. In hindsight, he wished he had paid more attention.
Yet, he reasoned with himself that the usual sounds must have been present as no one other than Zayne had realised that they had been followed. And Zayne only really caught on because of what Eishirou had seen on his map.
Zayne’s own father, a veteran Elite, hadn’t noticed.
The ShadowDwellers within these mangrove trees were quite…unusual was probably the right word.
The creature Team 3 faced off against was a large lizard in appearance, and was most definitely an ambush predator. It didn’t get destructive or violent until after Zayne exposed its presence.
Before then, it had moved silently. Not a rustle of a leaf. Not a snapping of a twig.
Nothing.
There was just so much they didn’t know about ShadowDwellers. They were as individual and unique as any species of animals.
Eishirou paused in his making of notes to glance at his surroundings. The foliage of the environment hadn’t changed; mangrove trees intersected with tall swamp reeds and light brown mangrove roots spiralling into pools of algae covered waters.
The temperature had warmed significantly, despite the shading of the thick canopy above. It was well after midday now, yet the dull light had stayed the same. And Eishirou assumed that the night of these woods fell sooner than they were used to.
Night-time beneath the canopy and lush vegetation were sure to be dark and unnerving.
A sudden and sharp pain from his shoulder promptly reminded Eishirou of his injury and he gritted his teeth to prevent a pained-filled murmur.
He mustn’t have fully succeeded as Zayne placed a hand on his back to get his attention. “How’s your shoulder?”
Eishirou gave a cautious shrug of his shoulder but promptly stopped when he was greeted with more pain. “Ah, it’s aching a little, to be honest.”
Zayne frowned in concern. “Do you have your painkillers?”
“I’ll take them when we return to camp,” Eishirou insisted. “They make me a little sleepy.”
Zayne’s frown deepened for a moment before he nodded his head. “Hm.”
Eishirou could only assume that Zayne’s frown was due to the fact that he wasn’t all that happy to know that he was in pain. And that he had a way to ease said pain, but due to certain side effects, wouldn’t take it.
And he was likely still annoyed about how he received such an injury in the first place.
A loud, sharp crack suddenly resonated. A low rumbling soon followed, along with the distinct sound of trees shaking. And breaking.
“Watch out!”
Zayne reacted immediately. He simultaneously wrapped his arms around Eishirou and manifested his wings. Eishirou found himself reacting just as quickly; he clutched his tablet against his chest with one arm as the other moved instinctively to loop around Zayne’s neck. He then crouched down for a moment, slipped an arm under Eishirou’s legs and scooped him up before he launched them both into the air.
And not a moment later, rocks and boulders barrelled through the tree line, careening destructively as they destroyed everything in its path. The way those large boulders and rocks moved looked so surreal. Boulders, four-foot wide bounced and rolled like they were made from cardboard.
The noise, however, was testament to how heavy, and how brutal, those tumbling stones were.
A rockslide. Not only were the ShadowDwellers dangerous, so was the environment.
With one arm around Eishirou’s back and the other under his knees, Zayne pulled back as his teammates, all with their own wings manifested, created a protective semi-circle in front of them. Their weapons were drawn, ready to deflect any stone or boulder that could potentially jostle in their direction.
A few of the small, somewhat ‘lighter’ stones were ejected from the slide in their direction, but Leon and Rinka were quick to deflect them away.
Eishirou subconsciously tightened his arm around Zayne’s neck and pressed himself closer to him. Had he been alone when that landslide occurred, it definitely would have killed him!
There was no way he could outrun something like that!
As quickly as the rockfall had begun, the tumbling stones came to a stop at their new resting places. The smell of toiled soil and freshly cut wood permeated the air. Along with an uneasy silence.
“You all right?” Zayne asked.
Eishirou nodded his head. “Yeah. Only thanks to your quick reflexes. That was a little close.”
A crease appeared in Zayne’s brow as he, too, nodded his head. “Yeah. What started that, I wonder.”
Eishirou turned to look at the now exposed hillside. The foliage had been so thick that he hadn’t realised that just a few feet away the terrain ascended steeply. The damage trail appeared narrow, gouging a potential new path. Though, he was reluctant to inspect it so soon after a rockfall.
“Something clearly dislodged these stones,” Ernesta mused as she lowered her mana-lance to her side. “Perhaps a ShadowDweller?”
“Perhaps,” Cadmus responded as his gaze remained firm on the debris path.
He didn’t sound fully convince. And, honestly, Eishirou wasn’t exactly sold on the idea that a ShadowDweller was responsible either. Perhaps he was just jumpy or paranoid after all the troubling events that had occurred recently.
“Let’s keep moving,” Cadmus ordered before he turned sharply in Zayne’s direction and raised an eyebrow. “You can put him down now, Zayne.”
Eishirou felt his cheeks abruptly heat up when he realises that Zayne was holding him, carrying him in what others may call “bridal or princess style”. Easily and casually at that.
“Walking is taking too long,” Zayne returned coolly, making no attempt to lower himself to the ground to allow him to safely loosen his hold on Eishirou. “It’ll be easier this way.”
He had a point…
A point that Cadmus couldn’t exactly refute.
“You can hardly fight like that,” Tatsu was the one to point out, rather scathingly at that.
Zayne turned his head sharply in his direction. However, he directed his words toward Eishirou.
“Hold onto my neck.”
Wordlessly, Eishirou did as he was told and tightened his arm around Zayne’s neck. Zayne then unwound his arm from around his shoulders, deftly snatched up his holster, and presented it toward Tatsu. Showing him that he was capable of drawing his weapon if the need called for it.
“See? I can fight just fine,” he retorted. “We’re wasting daylight; let’s move.”
Ernesta made a sound that was similar to a cough, and yet it was a forced cough. Like the one would make to cover up a laugh. Or something.
“I agree,” Ernesta stated. “Flying at low altitude would indeed move things along. And we’ve suffered enough distractions. We need to continue.”
Her tone of voice left little room for debate.
Though, Cadmus did give the impression that he had wanted to say something else. But decided against it. He did give Zayne a peculiar look before he turned, still mid-air, and took the lead once more.
Zayne and others soon followed.
That look was…parental, in a way. Exasperatedly parental. Probably inwardly lamenting how much of a rebel his own son had become.
Was Zayne being rebellious? Eishirou didn’t think so. He hadn’t done anything he hadn’t done before. He may be more vocal about it, but only because other people kept questioning him.
So…maybe the way he was acting wasn’t how Elite normally would or should act?
How ever an Elite was supposed to act, Eishirou was grateful for Zayne. For his determination and dedication toward him. He saved him and protected him more times than he could count.
He…didn’t know what he would have done without him.
Eishirou must have unconsciously shifted closer to Zayne as the other tightened his arms reassuringly around him. “I won’t drop you,” he said.
“I know,” Eishirou returned immediately. “I was just thinking of something else.”
Zayne gave him a quick smile before he returned his attention to the space in front of them. And Eishirou turned his attention to his tablet. Or more specifically, the map. He made the mental note to mark the rockfall when he was able to use his other hand.
Until then, he’d keep an eye out for any unusual blips.
They were making good pace and approaching the next point of interest quickly. A few minutes later they moved from the narrow, natural tunnel created of mangrove trees, and into an open clearing where they could see the blue sky above from an opening within the canopy.
“This is the second site,” Cadmus stated as he dropped to the forest floor, his red mana wings still activated.
As Zayne’s teammates followed the veteran Elite’s example, Zayne himself chose to stay in the air a moment longer. To cast a cautious glance at their new surroundings. Only when he was satisfied, did he finally land. And place Eishirou back onto his feet, too.
Eishirou thanked him quietly before he also inspecting the clearing. His gaze soon landed on an object found north in the clearing. A tall stone covered in moss and vines, of which had only been recently brushed aside.
It was the mural that had caught his attention back at the museum.
Zayne also noticed it and was close behind him as they walked toward the runestone. “Is this what that sentinel being Professor Jairus mentioned looks like?”
Eishirou nodded as he stood before the mural. More of a portrait. Someone that those who had painted such a thing held in high regard. “That’s right. He looked similar to this. Distinct long white hair with beads and feathers and dark brown skin.”
“Is this painting as old as the Red Lily?” Rinka was the one to ask as she, too, looked at the painting in interest.
“Yeah. Amazing, right?” Eishirou replied. “Possibly ten-thousand years old. Survived the bombardment.” He trailed his fingertips over the rough stone cautiously. “And it still has mana.”
Hmm. It appeared to be in good shape. He didn’t need to restore this one.
All he needed to do was prepare himself to receive a recording.
He stepped back momentarily and slipped his tablet into his bag. He then lifted it up over his head and dropped it carefully to the grass by his feet.
With that done, and with the knowledge that Zayne was sure to protect him from anything and everything, he raised his hands and placed them flat against the stone. He lowered his head. And with his mana, reached out to the memories stored within the stone.
They rushed forth without hesitation.
An underground temple. A sacred fire burning before a tall runestone. The sound of humming, wordlessly singing of a song of revere. Rapid drumming, wooden musical instruments.
A figure dressed in white with feathers and twine in white hair. The sentinel being Eishirou had seen so many times before. He stood before the fire. He looked youthful, though his soul was ancient.
He raised his hand to his side to reveal a golden wristlet. Upon it, the Red Lily.
Dawn of a Crimson Gold,
Celebrations of the Sacred Earth.
A gentle voice resounded as the drumming increased.
Shadowy beings, no form nor structure, edged in from all sides. Toward the sentinel being and the relic he wielded on his wrist.
The figure in white, completely unafraid, raised his hand toward the shadowy entities. The Red Lily shone with a bright light. Yet, the radiant light seemed to create a sphere around the being. Encasing him, protecting him.
Elements of a Fated Connection,
Reveals the Strength of the Mirrored Souls.
Someone else suddenly appeared before the sentinel being. Crouched into a battle stance that was somehow familiar. Though, they, too, were hidden in shadows.
Bright blue eyes suddenly looked at him. Directly at Eishirou himself.
Everything came to an abrupt end and Eishirou reeled his head back from the sheer force and power of the recording had shown to him. He clutched at his head and squeezed his eyes shut as he felt an arm encircle his shoulders.
Eishirou rubbed his temples with his fingertips as he attempted to wade through the lingering images of the recording playing through his head.
A golden wristlet. With the Red Lily as the centrepiece. It also appeared that the figure in white was…using it in battle? It wasn’t used offensively, though. Not fully. He was…using it defensively, and yet it felt as though he was also using it to enhance or support…someone else?
That second figure…he couldn’t see anything from them. But…they were of a masculine energy.
That was honestly the downside to reviewing recordings – he didn’t have enough time to inspect and intersect the images. He had to go on memories after the recordings were done. And he could only view the recordings once. Only after the object he pulled the recording from restored its mana supply could he possibly see it again. But there was a high possibly that it would not be the same recording.
It was all rather complicated.
The wristlet was new, though. Previous recordings had the red jewel nestled within a crown. The Red Lily back at the academy, however, was alone. So, it may be possible that the relic could be interchanged with other relics?
And the environment those images took place. It looked like a temple of sorts. An ancient sacred place. Carved stones, man-made altars and totems. And a tall runestone with ancient etchings.
Somewhere important.
Somewhere that still existed?
“Eishirou?”
Zayne’s voice holding a subtle sense of concern pulled Eishirou from his thoughts. He opened his eyes and immediately glanced over to his left. Where Zayne stood. His arm across his back in a comforting and supportive touch.
“You all right?” he asked.
Eishirou nodded and dropped his arms to his sides. “Y-yeah, sorry. It wasn’t holding back with the energy.”
“What did this one reveal?”
It honestly took Eishirou a moment or two to gather enough coherent thoughts to answer. “A…an ancient ritual of sorts. Another relic, I think. There’s…a stone temple. Underground. I think it still exists. Somewhere on this island. That relic…might be able to help me to understand the Red Lily further.”
Of course, he had no solid facts on any of that. But he felt it to be true.
“And no idea where this other…temple is found?” Cadmus asked, poorly hiding his scepticism.
“No,” Eishirou admitted. “But I’ll know when I see it.”
That wasn’t exactly reassuring. And Cadmus’s expression stated as much.
“Your injured shoulder might be interfering with your ability to view recordings,” Zayne suddenly suggested.
A sharp pain erupted in his shoulder, seeming in response to that observation. “Ah,” Eishirou winced. “You’re probably right.”
His shoulder wasn’t the only thing aching. His head was starting to set into a low throbbing. Something that happened when he used a bit too much of his own energy. The pain of his shoulder surely wasn’t helping.
A sudden, piercing buzzing from his tablet caused Eishirou to turn his attention down to his bag. He stepped away from Zayne and knelt onto the grass to pull out his tablet. As he flicked it on, he was greeted with the sight of the map.
And a strange dot close to the area where they had encountered the rockfall.
“Huh?”
“What’s wrong?” Zayne immediately asked as he crouched down next to him, his gaze on the map, too. “Another strange blip?”
Eishirou nodded his head. The marking wasn’t like the red symbol he had seen before. The one that indicated the ShadowDweller. The new blip…blips (there were three now), were light green in nature. Similar to the indicator of the tablet’s location on the map.
That…
“Is there anyone else on the island with us?” Eishirou asked suddenly, his attention toward Cadmus.
Cadmus seemed surprised by the question before his brow quickly furrowed and his expression turned stoic. “There shouldn’t be. Why?”
“It’s just…the map indicated to another possible party. Close by,” Eishirou explained as he glanced down at the map. However, as he looked down again, the dots had moved on. Off the path. “But…it’s gone now. Maybe they’re out of range?”
Had the academy sent another team to help in the research? But that didn’t seem plausible. Jacob would have definitely told him if he even entertained the idea so not to alarm him.
Something didn’t feel right. He would contact Misaki later and ask him.
“Let’s return to camp,” Cadmus suddenly commanded. “And stay together.”
Something didn’t feel right with him either, it seemed.

SQUAD A: Primary function--assault and destruction. Operative 07, codename ""Delilah" Previous attempts to recreate Hulk-like abilities have invariably met with disaster due to the accompanying berzerker rage.  The Section 11 scientists took a different approach and instead tried to replicate the work of Dr. Samson, tying the particular super-strength of the Hulk to the length of the subject's hair.  Trace genetic samples of the Red Hulk were used in experimentation on a test subject.  Project deemed a partial success, though "Delilah" still has high levels of aggression and can be difficult to control, particularly if her hair length is not maintained within optimal parameters.  Operative 01 has displayed a marked affinity for her, but so far experiments involving attempts at breeding have met with no success. [COMMANDER'S NOTE: "Breeding?" Are you serious with this?  Damnit, those eggheads are messed up.] Operative 08, codename "Waif" "Waif" is unusual in not coming from the usual pool of test subjects, but is in fact the natural daughter of one of Section 11's lead scientists, Dr. Yamanaka.  Her powers emerged at a young age uncontrollably during a traumatic car accident that killed one of her closest friends.  Her powers were uncontrollable and destructive until the implant could be successfully installed.  Though Dr. Yamanaka has attempted, since, to speak with his daughter, she does not seem to recognize him or anyone from her old family at all. "Waif" is one of the few operatives in Section 11 permitted to wear non-standard gear, as disruptions to her daily routine have been observed to have a negative impact on her stability. [COMMANDER'S NOTE: Guy lobotomized his own daughter.  No wonder she won't talk to him.] Operative 09, codename "Samurai." "Samurai" is a clone created by Dr. Akimichi, spliced with DNA from the metahuman Blob. His armor is developed based on intense study of the metahuman Juggernaut and his armor.  Though docile and responding well to direction, "Wamurai" has little initiative of his own.  He also does not speak, and only communicates through "Waif."  He has been observed to have a calming impact on her, hence why the two are paired together.  "Samurai" also carries a series of steroids and stimulants for use in high-stress combat situations, and has received military training. [COMMANDER'S NOTE: Love this kid.  Like a minature tank.] *Note: Given the volatile nature of the group, they require extensive coordination.  Dr. Nara's "Deer" AI has proven useful in this task, supplemented by Shadow drones capable of observing and compiling data.** **Further Note: Dr. Nara's "Deer" AI has been flagged for review after numerous incidents displaying near-sentience, including several statements curiously similar to Dr. Nara's late son.  Director Danzou has ordered an investigation into thJA)djs&(*Yhiue---------RECORD DELETED
SQUAD B--Primary Function: Infiltration and Recon Operative 03: "Gemini 1" Gemini 1 is not suited to intense combat situations unless supported by Gemini 2.  Her primary skill set is stealth, infiltration, and cyberops.  Similar to Gemini 2, she possesses hyper-optogrophy and can see in multiple layers of the spectrum, including infrared, ultraviolet, and x-ray. Energy blasts from the palms are able to target internal organs. Tests have also confirmed a psychic link between her and Gemini 2, wherein information and even physical pain can be conveyed between one and the other.   Gemini 1 has also been observed to have a notable attraction to Operative 01, which might possibly be useful. [COMMANDER'S NOTE: Who authorized that test, and how was "physical pain" determined?] Operative 04: "Gemini 2" Gemini 2 is the twin of Gemini 1 and possesses all her abilities.  He has a much higher combat aptitude, and has been noted in field operations to have a particular protective instinct involving Gemini 1.  It has also been noted that Gemini 2's combat effectiveness dips noticeably when confronted with anti-citizens Kusanagi and Green Beast.  Confrontations should be avoided. [COMMANDER'S NOTE: Who did we get these twins from, I wonder. Probably from one of the "clinics."] Operative 05: "Weapon K" Weapon K is the most successful emulation of the Weapon X project thus far.  Though it is still difficult to maintain complete control, and the adamantium binding process was not entirely successful, still he retains the all-important healing factor acquired from Weapon X, as well as the heightened senses. Weapon K handles the majority of combat situations that Squad B encounters, though he is indiscreet and tends to leave a mess behind. [COMMANDER'S NOTE: Just something not right about this boy.] Operative 06: "Shino Entity" It has yet to be determined whether Shino Entity is, in fact, a budding psychic who was consumed by insects and gained control of them, or merely a strange collective of psychic insects under a shared delusion of once having been human. Investigation is ongoing, though attempts to isolate and inspect individual insects of the hive mind have been counter-productive, as Shino Entity has invariably become aware of the isolation and dissection of members of his hive mind.  Accordingly, invasive experiments have for the  moment been suspended to ensure his ongoing collaboration.  His skill set is incredibly valuable and unique, however, enabling mass recon on a almost simultaneous response, and while not suited to combat, is essentially indestructible. Shino Entity requires little care save maintenance of the containment suit and a daily piece of rotten meat.  This seems sufficient to have earned his cooperation, along with a curious affinity for the other members of Squad B--though it still has not been determined how he manages to speak. [COMMANDER'S NOTE: I don't really care where he came from.  As long as he keeps up his work, he can call himself Shino or Lord Nelson for all I care.] LEADERSHIP TEAM Commader Kakashi: Field Commander.  Last living member of the original Section 11 team, Commander Kakshi has been declared not fit for combat due to the injury suffered to his eye during the Apocalypse Incident.  He now serves Section 11 in a supervisory tactical role, planning out missions to accomplish goals as set by the rest of the leadership.  Though not strictly required, Commander Kakashi makes a habit of deploying with the Section 11 Operatives whenever possible, a practice which Section Chief Danzou has cited him for numerous times. [COMMANDER'S NOTE: Let the old man complain, I'm not sending kids out there without backup.] Dr. Tsunade: Head of Mutagenic Studies.  Dr. Tsunade left a promising career at Tokyo University to lead the medical and study wing of Section 11.  She is in charge of monitoring the operative's physical state and the nature of their mutations, as well as any new mutations that arise.  Dr. Tsunade's connection to the program is more than professional, as her grandfather was closely involved in its creation, a fact which may have weighed into her decision to join.  Dr. Tsunade also considers herself in charge of the operative's well-being, a matter which has also led her to clash with Section Chief Danzou. [COMMANDER'S NOTE: The lady should be in charge from everything I've seen.  Though what she did to the meeting table makes me wonder if her studies have been leading to more practical applications of mutagens, recently.] Dr. Inoichi: Section Chief Danzou's successful recruitment of the famous "Ino-Shika-Cho" team may be considered one of the great accomplishments of his administration. Dr. Inoichi joined the program out of desperation to find some solution to his daughter's newly awakened powers, and his two friends followed him.  A neurology specialist, Dr. Inoichi has done groundbreaking work regarding metahuman psychics and extra-natural brain structure.  He devised the device which currently helps his daughter to keep her powers in check, which is currently under development for possible use against enemy psychics. [COMMANDER'S NOTE: Why does the record note this as an accomplishment of Danzou's? Inoichi joined us because of his daughter's accident, Danzou had nothing to do with it.] Dr. Shikaku: Shikaku, a renowned specialist in artificial intelligence and computer learning simulations, joined the program alongside his friend. His algorithms run much of the training programs that the operatives use, as well as much of the predictive software crucial to Section 11's smooth operation.  The death of his son left him emotionally distant and he has a noted reluctance to meet with any of the operatives outside of Inoichi's daughter.  Much of his work since joining Section 11 has been on his prototype ASI "Shika" and its proxy drone. [COMMANDER'S NOTE: I swear, that thing almost seems sometimes like it's actually senti303@..%$)(~~~- ERROR DATA CORRUPTION... Dr. Chouza: The final member of the Ino-Shika-Cho team, Dr. Chouza's specialty runs more in the physical arena than either of his friends, primarily involving force multipliers such as the Hulk and Blob. His "Choji" clone program has potential to create an entire army once the formula has been perfected and the laboratory repaired. [COMMANDER'S NOTE: Chouza's heart isn't in this, and that laboratory will never be fixed if he has anything to say about it.] Section Chief Danzou: Despite his near-fatal injuries from the Apocalypse Incident, Section Chief Danzou has transformed Section 11 into an elite fighting force in the wake of his predecessor.  The current roster and focus of the division is entirely due to his guidance.  He has a noted tendency for keeping his plans to himself and frequently overrules his leadership staff. [COMMANDER'S NOTE: There is reason to believe that the old man has an even more dark-ops organization on the side, for missions he considers too sensitive even for Section 11.]
