6 Important Green Flags to Look for At Your Workplace
What do you look for, when you’re evaluating a prospective job? Only the responsibilities, benefits, and pay, right? Wrong. If one of the top five things on your job checklist is not the work culture, you’re not doing it right. So, what should you keep an eye out for? Let us help you out with it.
Diversity and inclusivity feel genuine
A big green flag, here, is when you are made to feel nothing at all about being different. Of course, we don’t want discrimination, but patronisation is just as bad — it shows ingenuity and can also indicate inconsistency. When you feel nothing — not special or terrible — for being different, you are seen as an equal. At the same time, you are included and valued, just like other employees.
Differences are welcomed
When ideas take contradictory paths, they are received well. They are not dismissed or ridiculed. Leaders and coworkers who hear you out no matter how opposed they are to your idea, are definitely something you should look for. You are heard, your proposals are considered and evaluated, and you are encouraged to express more ideas even if they might not be agreed to by everyone.
Tumblr media
Mistakes are allowed
Employees are given the space to err. And when they do go wrong, they are understood and guided in the right direction. Every folly is considered to be an avenue for growth and thus, a positive outlook is fostered. They are taught to not fear making mistakes and to recalibrate their strategy to come out stronger.
Synergistic development is encouraged
The organisation cares about employees’ growth and ensures that their team grows with them. And not just professionally. If people feel burdened mentally, then breaks and rest is encouraged. Self-check-ins are encouraged, and employee check-ins are put in place to ensure that employees are well-equipped mentally and physically to perform to the highest standards. Employees are shown that they cared for, verbally and through actions, too.
Gossip is not tolerated
Gossip, badmouthing and such is openly discouraged. Although it cannot be stopped in any workplace, realistically, employees are given the freedom to express displeasure respectfully and healthily, so as to avoid gossip and rumours. Employees are taught to have an open and healthy discussion in a practicable manner.
Tumblr media
Conflicts are navigated through and dealt with in a healthy manner
Disagreement and displeasure are displayed in a respectful and non-toxic manner. No one is attacked or demeaned in the process. Keeping a peaceful environment is prioritised. Clear boundaries are maintained for what is okay to say and what isn’t. And when working together is necessary during an ongoing conflict, the people involved ensure to make it a comfortable working environment for the rest of the team.

The Khan’s are just PHENOMENAL. They’re so warm and vibrant and hysterical in all the best ways. The MCU is absent/shitty/dead/evil-parent-and-complicated-family central, theres too much familial feuding at times, whether that family is blood or adopted or found, so I am LIVING for and LOVING how the Khan’s are just so normal and ordinary and wonderful. It’s no wonder Kamala has such a can-do, confident, positive attitude. It’s no wonder she’s such a dreamer and proudly herself and so damn funny when she’s surrounded by so much love and encouragement. Kamala Khan and the fam need to be in more Marvel movies, their dynamic is just joyous and healing and I will NOT tolerate another Aunt May incident. I WILL NOT. I swear if anything happens to ANY of them-

"reading under the red hood and it's pretty good i think" - jason todd fan who has only seen the cartoon adaptation of under the red hood
#getting my hands on the comic for utrh is cracking my entire brain open about werewolf fic like you don't understand#the cartoon movie was pretty tight but the comic is more robust. and yall the themes for werewolf fic...they're all coming together#now if only i could write the girls fighting FR I'M TOO SOFT YOU GUYS OTL#i'm just feeling insane over the first confrontation with bruce and how Jason tells him that 'gotham is evil'#and 'you have to fight her where she lives' and 'i live there' LIKE#it's only fueling my crazed impression that the end to Jason's philosophy has only two ends#when he's done what he's set out to do and rid the world of evil by cutting it out (which is futile; blind and toothless etc but details)#either: he changes his philosophy and becomes the very type of villain he hates or he dies himself. because he also deserves death#'i live there' ARE YOU KIDDING ME???#sorry if this is Not News to people or if Jason has had some serious growth vis a vis this entire mindset but like.#I'M INSANE ABOUT IT. I'M CHEWING ON IT FOREVER#and bruce is the wrong person to try to sway Jason off this path. theres way too much baggage too much history too many complicated feeling#but...tim...? >.>#tim i think has enough 'this is not my philosophy this is company policy and i'm the worlds okayest employee' energy to eventually do it#like obviously stuff would need to Happen for it to be possible lol but you guys. this is what made jaytim so tasty to me in the first plac#tim being capable of meeting jason halfway like bruce can't; tim being able to hold the conversation with jason without it collapsing#tim having rebuttals to jason's arguments that might actually get somewhere with him eventually...#i'm not saying it would be fast or easy or even make sense in canon lmao but think there's a lot of fic potential there owo#like tim's vicious streak is something jason would appreciate. :3c#local jaytim fic author rambles about jaytim in the tags once again more at eleven lol anyway#jason todd#dc

one of the reasons i love psychic is because by every account, his job should suck. it should be the worst job in the world. he's not getting paid. he's working for some of the cruelest people alive.
and yet he doesn't wanna leave. he's not even being manipulated, his tyrant boss just genuinely respects and trusts him that much, that psychic has his every need met and wants nothing more than to serve. incredible. you can only get that kind of contrast and flavor in south asian cooking. (the real reason he speaks to me /j)

Reasons Why I want to nominate Claude's parents as the worst parents of the Fódlan characters
I know, I know, it's a pretty high bar (low bar?), considering the other contenders, especially since only one has a name and neither are seen in either Three Houses or Three Hopes.
However, I would not jump into this discussion without evidence.
Spoilers beyond the cut.
In Three Houses, during his B Support with Hilda, he talks about his parents, particularly how they would raise/punish him.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
In case you missed it, he discusses being dragged along behind a horse by his father.
His mother would laugh as it happened.
I know he rationalizes it as having been a brat as a kid, but there is absolutely nothing he could have done that would have justified BEING DRAWN, which was part of one of the most inhumane execution methods of the medieval ages and is only associated with torture historically.
Edit to add: Claude states that there is a trick to make the horse punishment less severe than it sounds. He doesn't state if he learned the trick himself after being drawn a few times, if he was taught the trick by an older sibling who went through the same thing, or another person. We also are given no context for how the punishment was carried out, whether it was on a soft grassy surface with no rocks, or a hard, rocky surface, or the duration of the dragging. Claude's first statement does imply that it happened multiple times ("He used to" instead of "one time he"). We do not know if Claude sustained serious injuries, but any combination of scrapes/bruises/rope burn are pretty much guaranteed simply by the nature of the action, and that alone is worse physical injury intentionally inflicted on a child in the game by any parent on more than one occasion, that I am aware of.
And as if that were not bad enough, we get this little gem in Three Hopes:
Tumblr media
Where Nader says that Khalid (aka Claude) was the favorite son of the king.
The favorite.
Let that sink in.
Favorites are generally given preferential treatment by the parents. Look at how Claude was treated again, and now look to his other siblings, like Shahid, who fights and dies trying to earn recognition from his father and to be acknowledged as a good heir to the throne. And Claude has more siblings.
I rest my case.
I will grant Count Varley and Margrave Gautier second and third place in the #1 Worst Father category, but King of Almyra tops the scale in a way that is almost impossible to imagine.
Patricia (Edelgard's mother and Dimitri's Step-Mother) may or may not beat Tiana (Claude's mother) for #1 Worst Mother, and Patricia may take overall #1 Worst Parent from King Almyra, depending on her ambiguous and not yet completely disclosed involvement with TWSiTD, the Tragedy, and what happened to Edelgard/Edelgard's siblings, but otherwise, I feel pretty safe with my nomination.
Edit for clarification: I would have loved to have actually met Tiana or the King of Almyra in either game. Most of the parents in the game are presented as good, but flawed, people. They just also happen to be terrible parents. Claude's parents could be great people, beloved rulers, and well-respected in Almyra. Despite my feelings on the matter, Claude seems to like his parents. That doesn’t mean they were good parents. In fact, I still believe they are the worst parents outside of actual villainous parents. Also, because this entry is a game with more fan engagement than what I usually discuss, I feel the need note that I'm not commenting on their parenting in relation to Almyra or Almyra's culture. I'm just commenting on how objectively terrible it is to drag a child along the ground behind a horse, and to laugh at that child in the process. I'll stand by that opinion.

Don Pianta's introduction scene (or rather, immediately after it) in the Bob's Last Stand arc is when Lily finally finds out that Bob knows about her being an Estrella and Anonymous L. This is because she's there at the hotel when Don shows up to threaten Bob, and when he sees her he pulls the "honorary uncle who hasn't seen you in a while" card, basically outing her to everyone in the room (thankfully just his own men and Bob, since Bob had the guests and staff clear out of the hotel lobby for their safety when he saw the Piantas coming).
So when he and the other Piantas leave, there's no longer the immediate anger and fear at what Don's doing to her real honorary uncle to distract her from a freakout over part of her past catching up to her, and in the process of calming her down Bob admits that he's known both her secrets since they first met.

Balanced Scorecard Framework: A Catalyst for Effective Enterprise Performance Management
Tumblr media
The term "catalyst" implies a substance that accelerates a reaction without being consumed itself. Similarly, the Balanced Scorecard Framework acts as a catalyst within the realm of EPM by accelerating the alignment of organizational objectives and strategies with actionable initiatives. Here's how:
 1. Clarity in Objectives and Priorities
The Balanced Scorecard Framework begins with the identification and articulation of strategic objectives across the four perspectives. This process ensures that objectives are specific, measurable, aligned with the organization's mission, and interconnected. By involving key stakeholders in this process, organizations achieve clarity and consensus regarding what matters most.
 2. Cascading Objectives Throughout the Organization
The Catalyst concept resonates strongly with the Balanced Scorecard's ability to cascade objectives and strategies throughout the organization. When objectives are clearly defined and communicated, they act as a catalyst for alignment. Each team and individual understands their role in contributing to the achievement of strategic goals.
 3. Performance Measurement and Accountability
The framework's perspectives extend beyond financial metrics, encouraging a holistic view of performance. This enables organizations to measure progress and success across multiple dimensions. By establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) for each perspective, the Balanced Scorecard acts as a catalyst for accountability, encouraging continuous improvement and innovation.
 4. Strategic Initiatives and Actionable Insights
The Balanced Scorecard's "cause-and-effect" relationships help identify the critical drivers of success. This insight guides the development of strategic initiatives that target specific areas for improvement. These initiatives act as catalysts for change, aligning resources and efforts toward achieving strategic goals.
Implementing the Balanced Scorecard Framework: Best Practices
To fully leverage the catalyst-like potential of the Balanced Scorecard Framework within an EPM context, consider the following best practices:
1.  Leadership Commitment : Ensure strong leadership commitment and support for the implementation of the Balanced Scorecard Framework.
2.  Stakeholder Involvement : Involve key stakeholders across all levels of the organization to gain insights and foster ownership.
3.  Data-Driven Decision-Making : Leverage data and analytics to monitor KPIs and make informed decisions.
4.  Regular Review and Adaptation : Continuously review and adjust the Balanced Scorecard based on changing business conditions and insights.
5.  Communication and Transparency : Foster open communication about objectives, progress, and challenges to maintain alignment and engagement.
6.  Focus on Strategy Execution: Use the Balanced Scorecard as a tool to execute strategy, rather than a mere measurement system.
