episode 5 went CRAZY CRAZY. I was not ready for all that. besties reunion scene. percy being wanted by the fbi. tunnel of love scene. grover therapizing information out of ares. THE FATES??? such meaningful deviations from the original source material. new ways of introducing expositional information and lore. screaming, choking, gagging last night while watching it and also right now as we currently speak. now I must go to class and be totally normal as if this isn’t all I’m going to think about for the next 7-9 business days.

Listen, "Sub Rosa" isn't a bad episode, per se, it's just deeply uncomfortable to watch someone get preyed upon and addicted to a dopamine sex ghost and that is an important distinction to make. But there are still some great nuggets to be mined.
First of all, Beverly looks amazing in her dress uniform.
Tumblr media
And you know Picard noticed she looks amazing because he comments on her inherited "vigorous libido" and he just looks so pleased to be having this particular conversation
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Then Beverly falls to the dark side and we can skip most of that but we get some great moments towards the end where Picard is like "Where's your boyfriend? He sounds hideous."
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And Beverly is like "I will physically push you out of my house-- damn, you're way too strong. Have you been working out more?" And Picard is like "I have, thank you for noticing. Also, your new green eyes? As hideous as your boyfriend. I hate them."
Tumblr media Tumblr media
and when Picard finally meets Ronin he is deeply, deeply unimpressed by his height and his hair.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Then Ronin zaps him with his Shrek lightening (both fake Scottish, green themes, could be related) and Beverly is torn between the Hair and the Non-hair (she chooses the Non-hair, obviously).
And meanwhile Geordi and Data are having a grand old time being assigned to dead lady duty.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And then the episode ends with Beverly being like "Well, at least the alien life form I was having misty sex with that I then murdered made my Nana super happy" *wink wink* and Deanna is like :/
There's also a plot line with fog on the bridge and in any other episode that would be intriguing and wild but it's pale and bland in comparison to the other bits of this episode so don't even worry about it.
So, there you go, now you don't have to watch the actual episode.
This episode is in a category all by itself called "some thoughts, some plots, but I need to look somewhere else besides my screen at times".

Personal review regarding what if…? season 2 episode 8 (spoilers)
No ok, I must admit, the episode was good in some aspects.
Wanda was majestic. Loki and Scott were hilarious and I loved every single moment with them.
Thor was amazing, dark and serious out of loss but still enjoyable, and the crumbs of his relationship with Hela were very nice.
I’ve actually liked Tony for the very first time in my life, probably because I tend to like him a lot more in AUs and fanfictions than I do in the normal timeline.
And then… there were those two.
I will never comprehend why marvel wants Steve to be so dependent on Peggy. And I will never comprehend why, to make him interact with her, they have to destroy or sideline every other relationship he has built, or make his character flat.
Bucky being friends with Scott was amazing, but the fact that him and Steve interacted like two times was extremely disappointing. You’d expect “best friends in every universe”, if you dislike the romantic pairing so much, to acknowledge themselves for more than a few scenes, in only one of which they’re in frame together (Bucky was literally 😐 while his best friend disappeared, come on now).
And the storyline about Peggy coming from another world to save the universe was just… Mbah. It could’ve been executed in another way without including her and it still would have made sense. It really feels like a Y/N insert.
Seeing literally any other character was so good, so fun, and they had to ruin it this way, making Peggy once again the self insert and girlboss she didn’t need to be.
Plus, forgive my constant complaining, but it’s extremely infuriating how all of Steve’s friends were eliminated to put the focus solely on Peggy. Where’s Sam? Where’s Nat? Where’s Clint? It’s not an underrated friendship we’re talking about, a big chunk of the fandom loves the cap quartet or team cap, and after civil war it would have been nice to see them interact, especially after its popularity and popular demand. Outlaw team cap would have been glorious, a good chance to bring back many characters who aren’t here anymore in the right way, and involve characters that are rarely involved in What if in the storyline, for a change.
The treatment of Sam in this series particularly angers me, and even more so in this episode. I understand not involving him in other storylines, but Sam was a big part of CATWS and he wasn’t even in the episode centered on that film. What, because Steve met him while running he can’t be introduced in any other way? And oh, there’s no excuse for this episode. If there was one episode they could have placed Sam in, it was this one. Sam was there in infinity war, where the mess happened, and he should have been with the other avengers in this one.
If marvel wanted to involve someone from another universe so bad, it should have been a Captain America Sam from another universe. Can you imagine the poetry of seeing Steve and Nat again after endgame? Can you imagine having closure with them both, and having fun in the process? It would have been so great.
Another great storyline without involving characters from other universes would have been one where Steve, who touched the time stone, accidentally brought everyone in the past, and he was the only one to remember it. And to go back and prevent everyone’s distraction, he had to recruit the avengers, who don’t know him and don’t trust him but that in the end become his friends and companions. It would have been so interesting to see the original avengers involved in something different from being some side characters or extras in the one woman show that seems to be What if, constantly centered around the same bland, one dimensional reimagined side character. Peggy’s blandness is so obvious in these episodes (aside for some random remarks that made me smile) that literally everyone who’s involved directly with her must be bland like her, otherwise risking to overshadow her.
I don’t think I was supposed to cringe and look away as much as I did during Steggy’s forced scenes, but I did. If they had to force Steggy and Peggy down our throats, at least they could have done something different from the same bland and boring storyline as always. I wouldn’t be as mad as I am now if Peggy and Steve’s relationship wasn’t as bland. I would have preferred an enemies to lovers type of twist or change, where Steve doesn’t trust Peggy and struggles with her because he sees in her a different version of the Peggy that died in that universe. But noooo, god forbid, let’s go with the same old song.
An episode five or ten minutes longer with a better, avengers-centric or Steve-centric storyline would have been much better than what we got.
And given that this was my most anticipated episode, I was very disappointed by it. I hope for the next seasons, if there’s other ones, Marvel will listen to the general complaint regarding Peggy and will give her a break. I don’t think any of the original avengers or relevant MCU characters made as much appearances as Peggy, and being a main focus in four episodes out of nine is ridiculous.

The finale of DuckTales is deeply flawed
I don’t know if I’m alone in thinking this, but I’ve always wanted to explain this to someone.
It’s not all bad. It’s actually an enjoyable watch, it’s fun and charming like most episodes are. The animation is incredible, even more so then it usually is, there’s lots of great moments that are really beautiful. I also enjoy a fair few of the plot moments, the one that stands out most to me is Scrooge immediately surrendering to Bradford the second he threatens to kill Donald, saying “it’s not worth the risk.” Really, all of Bradford’s eventual surrender to petty villainy is well done.
I will likely end up making a post talking more in-depth about why the finale is great, but that is not this post. This post is strictly about the flaws in the plot of the finale.
A few important notes:
I am not a genius media critic, I’m an asshole on Tumblr. This is entirely my opinion and if you love this episode/this one is your favorite I am genuinely happy for you. I understand that it can suck to have someone criticize your favorite piece of media, and if you don’t want to hear this then I don’t want you to hear it either. (/gen)
I, as a person, am very resistant to change. I find it difficult to cope with extreme changes to form in the media I love. I tried to look at this from a non-biased perspective, and I think I did a good enough job, but I’m sure my personal bias slipped through the cracks very frequently.
The very final episode made me cry, despite all this. I cried because the end credits were so sweet and I cried because it was over. I was watching the end credits and I cried. So, that’s something.
I will refer to the three part finale as “The episode” throughout, because this is the easiest way for me to understand it. I will specify if I am talking about a specific part, but for the most time it is just “This Episode” or “The finale”
Actual Episode Criticism:
I think May and June were a terrible idea. I think that the reveal that Webby is a F.O.W.L clone of Scrooge was also a terrible idea. I think the episode has too many plot twists and characters thrown in and it means hardly anything truly meaningful happens.
I believe that May and June were a harmful addition to the finale and the overall canon of the show. Strictly speaking from a finale perspective, they are completely new characters who take up a large portion of the finale of a show, especially in the first part. The episode should not have centered around new characters, but instead been a grand final adventure with the existing characters all having their moments, but especially showcasing the McDucks.
They divert so much of the time of the episode away from other characters that nobody else really gets to shine. Huey, Dewey and Louie sort of get replaced by Webby, May and June. They feel like the new triplets because it’s literally Webby and two clones of her. However, instead of being three distinct personalities, they’re all just literally clones of Webby, personality and all. I have nothing against Webby, but I don’t think having three of her running around taking up 60% of screen time in the finale was good.
The “Webby is a Scrooge Clone” thing is dumb as hell. Especially because Webby calls Scrooge “Dad” at the end of the end of the episode. I’ll get in to this more in a second, but it sort of shits on the message that family isn’t blood. I don’t think Webby needs to see Scrooge as a father. It also doesn’t make sense that they made her a girl, even though trans Scrooge/Webby is a good thought, it’s not canonical.
This is also another twist that they shouldn’t have thrown in last second, because it’s such a large idea to flesh-out. I’m glad they kept it for the finale though, strictly because I would not have enjoyed the arc of Scrooge and Webby being Father/Daughter. Especially because it doesn’t make sense, like if May and June are “sisters” to Webby and they’re clones of her, wouldn’t Scrooge be more like a brother? At least save Webby calling him “Uncle Scrooge” for this grand moment at the end, if you’re going to go to this terrible twist.
These two plots shit directly on the face of whatever message the show was saying up to that point, that “Family is just the people who love you.” Because when May and June show up, Webby immediately begins calling them her sisters because they have the same blood as her. She goes directly against the wishes of the people who, up to that point, were her actual family. Just for two girls who are F.O.W.L spies and who she doesn’t know.
Webby being genetically identical to Scrooge also flies in the face of this a little, because it makes it so that the Papyrus appearing to her, and Webby and Scrooge being family, arguable as being because they are genetically related. This is not the point the show is trying to make, but it still is an argument to be made. Why do they have to be biologically related at all? Why can’t they just be family?
Especially because this show had, for a while, done such a good job portraying non-standard family dynamics. An uncle raising his sister’s kids? A grandmother raising her (adopted) granddaughter? Both in non-standard environments? We don’t often see things like this casually portrayed. But with the return of Della and the Dad-ification of Scrooge it almost feels like they’re saying families aren’t complete without a mom or a dad. Even though they aren’t saying that, it’s still there.
Gosh this post is getting long. Last thing, nobody gets any screen time. So many characters are in this episode, and they had 60 minutes to use them all, but so much of it was dedicated to Webby, May and June that it’s nearly impossible for anybody else to get a complete arc. Webby and Huey are separated from the rest of the McDucks for a while, which would be fine except they don’t even really get a proper reunion. Webby doesn’t get one at all, and Huey gets a quick “I’m so happy to see you, I used your book to find you.” Before they are immediately captured again. Most of the cast actually spends a large portion of the part just before the climax in cells, not being a part of the action.
I mean, Gyro has a few references yo feeling like he’s “losing his touch” before it’s never a big deal again. Della is mad that Donald is leaving but they don’t ever talk about it and then Della just decides it’s okay. Donald never interacts with May and June before deciding to take them on his boat with Daisy. B.O.Y.D, Goaslyn, Violet and Lena don’t really do anything at all, except for B.O.Y.D and Lena having some plot point that no one else really would have been able to do (Reprogramming the Gizmoduck armor and making the ship invisible.) I think that the addition of these characters feels forced, when they should have been a natural addition to a grand adventure finale.
Overall:
May and June are unnecessary and hinder the other characters relationships and I don’t think Webby should be genetically related to Scrooge because then it feels less like “Found Family”. I think nobody gets enough screen time except Webby and her clones, but I don’t think they should have been the focus of the episode.
I’m sorry this post was so long, remember that I don’t hate watching this episode. I just think that the finale of my favorite cartoon should have been handled better.

WE ARE FINALLY BACK Y'ALL WITH SEASON 2 EPISODE 1 (or episode 26) of the Spy X Family anime!! 😆
Tumblr media
AND WHAT AN AMAZING EPISODE IT WAS!! 😆 I'm so happy to finally see the date chapter (or Extra Mission 2) animated after all this time, it was totally worth the wait...!! 😁 I mean, everyone finally got to see Agent Anya in action!! 😎
Tumblr media
I'm so glad that CloverWorks and WIT STUDIOS decided to save this chapter and adapt it for season 2's first episode because it's definitely the perfect place to start things back up...!! 😊
I could probably gush about how good this episode is all day, but I don't always have that kind of time, so on to the difference, changes and additions that I noticed...!! 😁
There was quite a few awesome additions, but my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE ONE has to THIS:
Tumblr media
You see, when Extra Mission 2 originally released, Bond was not introduced or apart of the family yet, so fact that they added a scene in the anime with him makes me SO HAPPY!! 😄 (Even if it was just a small scene...!! 😊)
Some other additions include a visual of all of Loid's date plans coming together and then falling apart...:
Tumblr media
As well as adding Franky and Anya to the different locations in the date montage!! 😁
And speaking of the date montage, the only location that was cut from it in the anime was the bookstore:
Tumblr media
Another small difference that I noticed was that Anya's trench coat didn't have the lines on them like in the manga:
Tumblr media
But, I guess that one doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things...! 😅 I just like showing the differences that I can remember off the top of my head to anyone who might be curious about it...!! 😁
Lastly, I don't think this is a change per se, but in the manga, the explosion of Anya's peanut bomb looked a lot more... DEADLY, in my opinion...!!: 😵
Tumblr media
But anyway, the was episode 26 of the anime!! Next episode has the scene I've been waiting for to be adapted, so I hope it is done amazingly...!! 😏
Tumblr media
I'll see you all next week (depending when I watch the episode because usually do errands for the house on Saturdays) with another episode review!! 😆 So until then, take care, be safe out there and be kind one another!! 💗😊💗 LATER!! 👋😁
Edit:
I FORGOT TO TALK ABOUT THE AMAZING NEW ENDING WE GOT!
Tumblr media
IT WAS BEAUTIFUL AND SUPER CUTE...!💗
Okay, now I'm done...!! 😁 Bye for real this time!! 👋😄

THIS POST WILL CONTAIN SPOILERS FOR THE NEWEST BOB'S BURGERS EPISODE JADE IN THE SHADE‼️‼️ DO NOT CONTINUE TO READ IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN IT OR DON'T WANT SPOILERS
I normally don't post thoughts on here about specific episodes but this episode was genuinely so good that I need to talk about it.
First: some smaller details that I really like that aren't super big to the story
- this episode proves my theory that there are ways to give Louise an outfit that fits the triangle shape language without it being a dress. She is so cute in that outfit and I absolutely love her little boots
- the facial expressions and body language are so good, I absolutely love how they are adding more simple body language things to episodes recently to add more character. Examples:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
- just louise's little bounces are so cute and Linda desperately trying to grab Louise cause she's scared about her kid idk it's just so good to me 😭
- also per usual the side plot was sweet, I absolutely love that moment where the tube guy has a light behind him like he was Jesus it was so funny to me 😭😭
- this is like the first time an episode has heavily referenced past happenings before. Like they constantly Talk about the movie AND they're in the hotel they were at for that Halloween episode in I think season 10. I absolutely love that they talked about the movie
Now for more character driven moments that make me explode:
- smaller character moment but MR. FISCHOEDER ACTUALLY GIVING LOUISE MONEY IS SO SWEET LIKE HE ACTUALLY CARES ABOUT THIS FAMILY AND IS WILLING TO GIVE LOUISE SOME MONEY 😭😭😭😭😭 genuinely so good I absolutely love them 😭😭
- Logan's mom being really clingy actually explains a lot with Logan, and I know that they have done things like this in the past but I don't think it was as blatantly obvious. It's really good characterization for Logan and actually made me feel for Logan. LOGAN.
- Louise finally said the quiet part out loud where she doesn't think she's a kid. Like I'm pretty positive she's never said she doesn't think she's a child out loud before which is probably one of the best cases of show don't tell I've seen in a while, and now her saying she's not a kid feels natural.
- I love how Linda was taking care of one of her kids without being completely overbearing like she is with Gene and sometimes Tina. She's showing growth as a mother and starting to undo the trauma she went through as a kid
- this is my favorite part of the episode and the most blatant sign of character growth, BUT THE FACT THAT LOUISE ACTUALLY KEPT THE MONEY INSTEAD OF IMMEDIATELY SPENDING IT ALMOST BROKE ME. I was not expecting her to keep it and my immediate thought when it cuts to her hanging something up on her was like she bought the newspaper clip from the hotel or a copy of it to hang on her wall, but it cutting to the money was one of the best ways of subverting character expectations I have seen. This is probably my favorite character arc I've seen Louise go through and it's not even the biggest one 😭 AND LOOK AT HER FACE WHEN SHE HANGS IT UP TOO IM ILL 😭😭
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Anyways, I hope y'all like my ramblings about the new episode, I'm thinking about doing something like his for every new episode this season cause I will most definitely need to rant and this is the best way I can think of without bombarding my friends with my thoughts. 😭

ReWatch: Supernatural - S10, E3 - 4
Ep 3: Soul Survivor I have no memory of Hannah being in love with Cas,.
And damn Sam, using an innocent to summon a crossroads demon in order to find Crowley.  Damn.  I had forgotten about that.
Demon Dean prowling the bunker is so hot.  I was sad to see Demon Dean because I felt a little cheated that we didn't get to see more of evilness.  He's doing bad things yet they are more methodical, he's not uncontrolled.  It's interesting that he spent so much time in bars, picking up women, but not actually killing. It's a shift when we compare him to other demons we've seen, but he's not possessed with another personality, he's Dean infected with evil.
Crowley's bottle has a skull top, haahaa, that is amazing.  He gives Cas stolen grace and restores his angel abilities because he wants Cas to "fix" Dean and he assumed Sam needed help.
Dean's back now, more actions to pile on the heap of guilt he carries from his time in hell.  Poor Dean.
Ep 4: Paper Moon The return of Kate (the young lady werewolf Sam and Dean let go, in that "Blair Witch" themed episode).  And it's so heavy with double meaning because here Kate is trying to save her sister, turning Tasha to save her life, willing to take a bullet for her.  All things Sam and Dean have done for each other so of course that runs under all the conversations.
In the end, Kate did something Sam or Dean have never been able to do: kill their sibling when all hope seems lost... because they always have a glimmer of desperate hope that they can fix it.

Checking Loonatics Unleashed Season 1 Episode 7
So, in this episode a shady circus transform people into weird beasts, having transformed Zadavia into a monkey-lizard. In this form, she went to alert the Loonatics and this is Duck's reaction at seeing the weird monkey:
Tumblr media
Just like Daffy, Duck has a sense of survival that could make him seem like a coward but it's crashed down because in this universe he's a superhero AND he has Ace watching him. Like, literally, one glance at Ace and he gets like this:
Tumblr media
Sense of survival forgotten, he attacks the monkey (Zadavia) with no mercy.
Tumblr media
One thing I love about Duck is that he works with his instincts. Most of the time Ace doesn't need to tell him what to do (unlike the rest of the group) and Duck ends up being helpful by his own. Ace learned to trust him.
Buuut, there are moments like this one that make me wonder if Ace doesn't just let him do what he wants because he's still on the uncontrollable phase of trying to impress him (and he secretly likes it). Most of the time it's like he doesn't care if Duck fucks up because... I don't know, he's his favorite . Like here he was just like:
Duck: *tries to kill the thing*
Ace: *softly and without moving a finger* Duck, wait
Duck: *kills the thing that could be important*
Ace: *tired sigh* anyway...
Tumblr media
Here, people may argue that Duck was being a show off in general (as if acting like a hero after looking at Ace wasn't obvious enough) and that he just wants the glory, but his body language says otherwise.
Tumblr media
He puts himself between Ace and the monkey and tries to grab it. He IS protecting Ace, and you won't see him doing that with anyone else. Also, Ace still not moving one single finger because he's secretly enjoying it, I know what I'm talking about, I am a prideful girl.
Tumblr media
Zadavia dodges Ducks and jumps in Ace's arms. Duck is "eew, don't touch it!" and you can say he's disgusted for himself, but actually he's carrying the animal in the next scene. So no, he's disgusted because it is touching Ace.
Tumblr media
Since Ace can barelly tell him what to do, I dare say it was Duck's idea to carry the monkey himself. Why?? IDK, to make sure it stays away from Ace. Because that's what a man does. For his babe.
After that, they go to the circus and get captured by the showman and transformed into mixed animals, mixing their powers too.
Tumblr media
LOL
It was interesting to see how Ace and Duck's powers work, and how they have to be regulated by levels of intensity.
Tumblr media
In this scene, Ace tries Duck's powers (LOL he was really happy with it) but the impact is really weak and it does nothing to the enemy. It implies that it needs more intensity and aggressiveness to work well.
Tumblr media
Ace's powers, on the other side, need more calmness and precision. In this scene, Duck shoots Rev by accident and he literally turns him into dust. It doesn't suit well with Duck's mental force. After that he loses control of it and almost hit others.
Another detail I liked was Duck's power of teleportation.
Seeing how it worked for Ace, it seems that this powers has something to do with the mental image or the mental focus the user has.
Tumblr media
First, he teleported on the rhino, that could mean he thought something like "I need to stop the rhino" and his power understood he wanted to teleport on it. The same happens with the showman, since he's currently the main enemy, Ace could have thought "I need to stop that man" and he teleported on top of said man.
So it's funny that the next place he teleports is Duck's arms.
Tumblr media
Not next to him or on top of him like the other cases. But in his arms.
I get that his mind may have focused on Duck because he was getting frustrated by Duck's powers but I really wonder why he didn't appear on top of his head instead of getting himself to be carried like a princess (which Duck instinctively did, by the way, he held him).
Anyway, they solved it all at the end, as always. Although, the thing with the victims was awful? I mean, they were kids froms around the universe and who knows how long have passed since they were kidnapped and used as circus animals. Man, that was terrible and it passed as another normal mission here.
Anyway, they 'solved' it, arrested the villains (should have killed them tbh) and Zadavia was giving her congrats. The End.
Oh, and extra scene with this two.
Tumblr media
Normally Ace doesn't look to trouble Duck so directly, but I guess he really doesn't like Duck's "crush" on Zadavia and would rather see her stepping on Duck's head before giving him any attention or special treatment.
I mean, Duck saying he's Zadavia's favorite? Hell no.

abbott elementary season 3 ep 1 & 2 REVEIWWWWW
idk why but I thought y'all might wanna hear what I thought about the season premierrrrrr!!!! it was so good and so chaotic. so many things going on at once.
when Janine walked out and revealed as district, I HAD A HEART ATTACK. but then the context helped. im just a little confused because didn't the Manny the district guy say Janine could go back into her class 1-2 days out of the week to teach?? or was it just to go around about hearing feedback?? it was so sad to see Janine's kids not caring about her presence and the super mean substitute. But, that one little boy, Alex, made my heart just warm!!!! It just reminded Janine why she's doing what she's doing!!!
omg and Janine and Gregory?? the way Janine HAD THE CONFIDENCE to go talk to Gregory about her feelings at the beginning of the school year??? like where did that bravery come out of, and she handled the rejection so well. like honey. I would have DIED. but also.... the way Gregory just... moved on???? well, I get why. bro has to protect himself, but like come on greggy boy, don't tell me YOU DONT just feel a little of love for Janine???? but I love the way writers handled it at the end. they didn't leave the awkwardness for the season and that is something I APPRECIATE. and at least we know that Gregory and Janine still want to be friends and still miss each other platonically.
am I being paranoid for being scared of Manny the district guy???? Like my boy Jacob had a point. Manny WAS giving me some crush vibes and it doesn't help how nice and genuine he is. LIKE IM LITERALLY FALLING FOR HIM. and his mom was a teacher??? I would love to see him more, but just not as another pawn in Janine and Gregory's relationship. but, I knowwwww better. and my girl QUINTAAAA will make us wait.
I think Janine is getting really confortable and friendly with the district crew and it's kind of scary me because if she gets TOO comfortable, she won't want to leave. I think when the fellowship ends, they'll offer her a permanent spot on the team and she'll want to take it but still teach at abbott.
Barbara was so cute this episode, with her makeup. and with how honest she was to the district. as some who works at a high school and has been dealing with a particularly horrible district and administration, Barbaras words hit too close to home. but she realized that the whole district team is essentially just 4 Janines with the power and position to make things happen. and I think she's really opening up to relying on the district more.
omg my girl Melissa. honey., I was so scared every time Gary made a marriage joke. and when he proposed I HAD A HEART ATTACK AND FOR A SPLIT SECOND I THOUGHT MELISSA WAS GONNA SAY YES and the rest of the season would be wedding planning. but as embarrassing and heartbreaking as it was for Melissa, she stayed true to herself and was mature to end the relationship. and my girl just crying made me cryyyyy omg. she looks so sad even though she was the one to break up with Gary, AND I KNOWWWWWW SHE'LL STILL BE HEALING. I don't think this is the last well see of Gary since he goes to the school every Thursday, but I think it'll be the end of their relationship permanently. but now that Melissa knows fs was wants to date and knows she doesn't wanna get married, I think she's gonna be in her exploration phase. HOEEEEE PHASSEEEE. god please send Melissa a gay awakening PLEASEEEEE. she needs a rebound and no better rebound than a woman. that would be so fun and so true to her.
but yeah thats all I think so far. and it was a great epsidose and a great start to an already unpredictable season!!!

With Bob’s Burgers premiering new episodes for as long as they have there will be times when they try for something new. That being a Regular-Sized Rudy centered episode with the Belcher family being regulated to the background.
It’s been established pretty early in the show that Rudy is a child of divorce. He’s more or less taken the divorce in stride having to live in two different households and having his father dating around.
In this week’s episode we learn that he and his parents have this monthly dinner where despite the divorce they (try) to prove to themselves that they are still a family. But this month Rudy dreads the dinner. In addition to his parents he has to deal with his mother inviting her new boyfriend and his father bringing in his latest lady friend.
We see Rudy outside of the context of a Belcher misadventure and we witness how greatly contrasting it is with his usual adventurous demeanor with his friends and his solemn demeanor with his family. He’s dejected, detached and quiet as the adults in his life dwarfs him.

With the Belchers there’s a sense of camaraderie. Full of love, fun and comfort. In spite of the hardships they endure, the parents are able to form a functional loving marriage with the kids feeling comfortable in their own skin. Every time he’s with the main family, he’s like the unofficial member akin to Teddy. There’s this sense of warmth and comfort he finds with the Belchers he just couldn’t find with his own parents.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In fact the whole b-plot was dedicated to creating a custom made casserole for Gene as a reward for upgrading his science grade from an F to a B- which is unlike most families. Especially Rudy’s. Their interactions feel so lively and homey, unlike the tense ones he has with his father, unable to just talk about things without this underlying emotions of anxiety.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Is it any wonder he invited himself into the Belcher household after a magic trick (which he performs for every monthly dinner) goes wrong? As soon as the Belcher family realizes what’s wrong they made sure to let Rudy’s parents know he’s safe and he’ll be returning very soon.
Tumblr media
Louise invites herself of course. For whatever reason she’s decided to keep Rudy company during dinner so that he’ll feel less alone. Rudy is happy to have someone to talk to and not feel like the odd man out. Louise may be a defiant delinquent with a selfish streak but at her core she’s a good kid and a great friend to Rudy.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
As it turns out Rudy’s mother pretty much accepts her. I know the fandom has vilified her since she’s been a non-entity throughout the show so we were left with drawing our own uninformed conclusions about her. But overall she’s a nice person and I hope we’ll get to see more of her.
Tumblr media
This season has gone off to a strong start. On par with The Simpsons. Speaking of which it fascinates how this episode’s theme relates to this week’s episode of The Simpsons of dealing with the changing relationships with family. Same with their season premiere episodes which was about dealing with corrupt authority figures. But maybe that’s just me reaching and being a fan of both shows. Overall I look forward to seeing more of what this season has in store for us.

aww this episode was soo fun. and i love them actually acknowledging the movie and using their insider Fischoeder Knowledge to solve a mystery!! together!!! linda being so excited that louise just wants to do something WITH her is so sweet. they don't have a lot in common in terms of interests but its also more than either of them think it is especially with their personalities being so similar
ALSO LINDA TRYING TO MAKE LOUISE WATCH KNOTS LANDING RERUNS WITH HER OOH 😭😭❤️
"you're a sneaky little slippery sam aren't you?" "i can be somewhat slippery 😌"
"you NEVER bring good walking shoes!!!!! im gonna buy you some comfortable flats. some sensible flats 😡😡‼️"
"i can't believe this whole time you were just playing pretend with me. like im a CHILD" "i mean...... you ARE a child??" "im NOT A CHILD. im NINE!!!!" lmao
also this is kinda one of the only episodes where i feel like linda actually does treat louise like a kid?? not in a bad way but she IS a kid and she's just playing pretend. very rarely are the kids treated their actual ages in that specific way w/ their maturity especially when it comes to louise. it's kinda nice to see. she's still linda's baby ❤️❤️
louise in this episode was SO CUTE i cant take very many screenshots bcuz uhh my setup is not great right now but trust me on this. she's adorable
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
this was CUTE louise loves her mommy soo much idc
Tumblr media
and this clip made me cry THEYRE SO CUTE??? THE ANIMATION?? what is with bobs burgers episodes lately and the characters picking each other up and swinging em around its always adorable and so fluid

"Liaisons" is such a good, funky episode.
Not only do you have Data absolutely obliterating Worf with his small talk in the first five minutes,
Tumblr media Tumblr media
the A plot is about these two rascally alien ambassadors in their uncomfortably revealing one piece leotards trying to explore things like "pleasure" and "antagonism" because they are as bland as their clothing suggests (also, this has haunted me since I was a child, the tall skinny dude has like... the weirdest bendy legs)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
and it's all cutesy, "haha worf is getting antagonized and that guy likes chocolates!" the whole time
but the entire B plot is Picard getting kidnapped, gaslighted, fake injured, and manipulated by this lady of the corn in ways that would make Stephen King proud.
Tumblr media
She puts this little thingy on him to make him think his ribs are broken and and it zaps him if he tries to take it off and she won't let him leave her crashed spaceship hovel. Suspicious, suspicious.
Tumblr media
And she keeps screwing up all their chances of communication, which Picard finds very vexing
Tumblr media Tumblr media
but he looks fine as hell with his 5 o'clock shadow the whole time. Vexed and rugged, a good look.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And in the end, it's revealed that Corn Lady is yet ANOTHER ALIEN AMBASSADOR, the shuttle pilot who used a thingy to disguise himself. He reveals that he was assigned to learn about "love".
And Picard is like "What you've done would be considered a crime."
And this little dude is like "What is... crime?" in his little alien cadence and you can see in Picard's eyes that he would like to demonstrate, specifically the crime of murder.
Tumblr media
And, as a bonus, the Blu-ray remasters reveal that Picard's continuity scruff in this final scene is FAKE. Take that old 90's cameras, you thought we'd never notice.
Amazing. What a ride.
I put this episode in the category of "zero thoughts, only silly plots" and that is one of my favorite categories of Star Trek episodes.

So episode 14. First of all, 20 minute episode. A whole treat. Tbh I figured they'd split the season into an overarching narrative like what I think make s3 so good imo and also the self contained slice of life episodes like what a lot of people seemed to be missing. The story flow was pretty clunky but I did enjoy the time spent on each group and the attempt to transistion through storylines with other characters popping up in the next one.
I liked the stayication concept. I like that we were back with the og girlies and got to see pairings within the friend group that we don't usually see. That was really sweet. I think the concept will give fanfic writers a lot to work with. Both for the characters we saw and the ones we didn't.
Not really a highlight of the episode but I do love how much fuller the school feels. Seeing all the back ground characters that we all actually know.
I do like Amaya being a jack of all trades. it's fun. I wish they'd not push her being so good at everything bc that's not what a jack of all trades is. but it's a kid's show so. + I like them showing the girls have hobbies outside of their main niche. Poppy and Amaya was a super cute duo
Jade and Bella <3
I'm 98% sure that crystal egg is those god awful slime creations MGA is trying to drop again. That plot line was so unserious and that bear thing is ugly I'm sorry
Violet being without her phone had a lot of potential that I think we missed bc of the damn egg crystal. But glad they tried it

Watching Wheel of Time without reading the books: Season 2, episode 2
I am going to have to post this as half a review again. I had a lot of feelings, and I am never going to get around to watching the rest of the episodes if I don't just post what I have. I still haven't covered the Moiraine or Perrin plotlines, but believe me when I say I adore them also. You can read about the rest of them below.
We finally get to see what Rand has been up to all this time: having nightmares about hurting everyone he loves, and whoring himself out for room and board. It’s like he got separated from the group and immediately thought “What would Mat do in this situation?” He is also working as an orderly in a mental hospital. Ah yes, I see. He needs to prove the intrusive thoughts wrong, by being extra caring and kind. Someone should let him know that command hallucinations are not a predictor of violence on their own, and one of the best protective factors is having a robust support network that keeps you grounded in reality. In other words, he should be doing the opposite of what he has done. But that’s Rand. His head has never contained any thoughts except “Gee I sure love my friends and family” so it was the perfect place for Nancy Reagan to move right in. Just a big house with five bedrooms, cathedral ceilings, and only two cardboard boxes stuffed in one corner of the garage. The first was labeled “willingness to do anything for my loved ones” and the other was labeled “nuance.” The second box was empty. This will not go well for him.
He’s been caring for a man who survived the Aiel wars, and got some serious PTSD from it. He’s a sword master, and has been teaching Rand some proper forms. Too bad some absolute caricature of a douchebag working at the hospital likes to pick on him for no reason. Rand responds in the way every mental health worker witnessing an abusive staff member dreams of. He calms the patient, finishes out his shift, then follows him home and beats the shit out of him. But whoops, he underestimated his Manneler strength and maybe killed the guy instead. It’s hard to know for sure, since Rand has some major hallucinations going on most of the time. I feel for him here. In Rand’s mind, he was standing up to a bully as his equal. But Rand has no equals. He is quickly realizing that no fight involving him will ever be fair.
Douchebag fails to show up for work, so Rand gets promoted to the garden, where all the famous patients hang out. And his first patient of the day is Logain, the false dragon. Dun dun DUN!
Meanwhile, at the White Tower, Nynaeve is busy being wooed by an increasingly desperate JK Rowling. Unfortunately, her main selling points are gender supremacy and pre-crime. The fascism isn’t even thinly veiled, she just comes out and says it. Nynaeve isn’t interested. JK needs to change her sales pitch. To cope with the rejection, she goes and torments her pet Mat for a bit. He tolerates it, and as soon as she is gone, continues his Shawshank Redemption plan. He eventually succeeds in tunneling through his wall, only to discover another cell. At least this one comes with company in the form of Min, the psychic who bailed on the final battle. Once in the presence of another human, Mat’s charm immediately returns. Thank the Light. I like New Mat after all. He wants to know how Min ended up in Aes Sedai Jail (because she’s a girl), but Min has no clear answers for him. She does have wine, though, so now he has a drinking buddy. He offers to also be an orgasm buddy, but she has a vision of him stabbing Rand with the cursed dagger, which is a major lady boner killer. The rags and prison smell are probably also a factor.
A new girl has moved in to Novice school. Obnoxiously, with all her furniture blocking the hall. Egwene goes up to yell at her, and I get to meet Elayne, the girl everyone has been screaming about since the promo photos dropped. First impressions of Elayne: I want to hate her, but I just can’t. She is naive, but earnest. She’s very excited to be “just like everyone else” but can’t help mentioning that she’s the princess three times per conversation. I have to hand it to the actor. This character could very easily be played as condescending and out of touch. But instead, her sincerity bursts out of her with such force that I can’t help but like her. She latches onto Egwene like a lovestruck koala and never lets go. She propositions her in the first conversation, and says she hopes they become soulmates. Egwene is redheaded channeler catnip.
JK’s new sales pitch is apparently accidentally-on-purpose getting caught caring for her son, who is dying of old age. Or maybe it was a genuine accident. It is hard to tell with her. Nynaeve shows concern in the only way she can, by helpfully pointing out a mistake JK made, and telling her how to fix it. That earns her a slap in the face, which was pretty much what she expected, but JK does take her advice.
Meanwhile, Egwene figures out that Elayne is making up excuses to spend time with her. Good. She really needed this, because she has finally fallen into Gifted Kid burnout. She cries to Elayne about how Nynaeve gets all the praise without even trying, and meanwhile, she struggles to even get noticed. Elayne tells her jealousy isn’t a good look on her, in a voice that strongly implies she thinks nearly anything at all would be a good look on Egwene. I told Husband that Elayne is going to leave her morning whippings and run straight to Egwene to rub soothing lotion all over her. He said that’s actually canon.
Sadly, Nynaeve overheard this conversation. The thing that upset her wasn’t any kind of insult or character assassination. She is hurt that Egwene feels abandoned. She pretty clearly only joined Novice school so she could watch over Egwene and protect her. She is being harangued every day by the people she hates most, and now she’s being accused of ENJOYING it? Oh no! I hate miscommunication as a plot device, but I like this show’s spin on it. Another show might have Nynaeve walk away with the impression that Egwene has upgraded her best friend to the princess of the kingdom, and no longer needs the peasant from the two rivers. That was what I was worried would happen. But once again, the soul of the show is the way these five all love each other so much and know each other so well. I now have more hope that Mat isn’t as fooled by JK’s cursed dagger behavior as he is pretending.
JK interrupts Nynaeve’s angst to come extremely close to apologizing, and even closer to saying thank you. But her evil plan to force Nynaeve into an acceptance speedrun has already started, so there’s no turning back now. Nynaeve must walk through the arches and face her biggest fears, in order to become a full Jedi master Aes Sedai. Dun dun DUN!
