So you wanted to be asked :D *evil laugh in the background* No, honestly, I thought "why not," because I actually don't know any works for viola solo (apart from Casadesus, bc his concerto is popular amongst cellists), so if you could point me out to a few viola pieces/concertos (the best? the most popular? your personal fav? romantic?), I'd be glad.
Ok I’ve been waiting for this one hehehee get ready
My personal favorite: Viola Concerto in C Minor- York Bowen (this one is sooooo pretty, very strong orchestra part, romantic era, basically the violin concerto we all wanted to play
Most popular: Viola Concerto no 1 in D Major-Carl Stamitz (this one is baroque and very accepted as a piece in the viola world. Personally, I don’t like baroque pieces but if you play this one viola people will respect u)
The overall best: Concerto for Viola & Orchestra- Sir William Walton (yeah this one is pretty good it’s a bit more contemporary but it’s a very solid and challenging piece that’s also a fun listen)
Romantic(kind of): Viola Concerto in G Major- Revol Bunin (I think this one is a little past romantic era but it still has that very passionate and mystical vibe)
Another (kind of) Romantic: Viola Concerto no 1 in C Minor- Gordon Jacob (a lot like Bowen but a little newer once again but honestly it’s a vibe)
Honorable Mention: Viola Concerto, Op. 33- Erland von Koch (hehe I like this guy’s last name hehehe)

- I do care what you think. You’re the first person to be nice to me without wanting anything back. If I could fall in love with anyone, I’d fall in love with you. - You don’t realize what you’re saying. You’re crazy.  - I’m completely mad. Aren’t people allowed to be mad sometimes? - I’ve always been alone. Nobody has ever cared about me. - People shouldn’t be alone. You need someone to take care of. You need someone to love. Otherwise, you might as well be dead.
