Back in 1997 I talked to 'Ernie C' Cunnigan of Body Count about the 'Cop Killer' song controversy, racism, his guitar heroes, producing the Black Sabbath album 'Forbidden', singing on the Body Count album 'Violent Demise: The Last Days', and his time living in Detroit while going to elementary school. Mason had done research for once, looking up their guest before they came in and he nearly fell out of the chair laughing at what he found. "Wanna introduce yourself, dude? Tell the Covians what you famous for? You have quite the presence in the interwebs."

1) 'Dying in a Hot Tub' by Palaye Royale (headbob-kinda rock) this song.. high volume is a must to really feel it, if you like this song would seriously rec listening to their other stuff, the vocals and bass and combination of hard-hitting and soft just get into the right places which continues in many of their songs, looking particularly at their 2016, '18, '20 and '22 albums

2) 'Vanity' by Big Terrible (slow-kinda rock) the opening.. a song that calms me down tbh, the slowness and the bassline combined are just, did first experience it through Lethal Weapon so i've tended to tie 1x01's case ending in with it but

3) 'Love in Separation' by Crispian Mills (slow-kinda indie?) this specific version isn't even released as a song (it was made for a film) but it's just relaxing (despite the subject matter and the scene it's used for uh don't uh don't yeah)

4) 'When The Curtain Falls' by Greta Van Fleet (headbob-kinda rock) Greta Van Fleet ahh.. Led Zeppelin-type is what they're most compared to, the combination of yodelling-type vocals and rock is just it for me

5) 'Shit Show' by Peter McPoland (headbob-kinda indie) a bit lighter but still goes hard in the chorus, the vibes
