Madagaskan claims he's Eva's father, but Eva doesn't seem to recognize him. When she sees him, she seems troubled and finds hard to believe that he's her father. And we know that her father is an assassin who has killed important figures in the kingdom of the 12. Was her father arrested when Eva was just a baby? Or has her mother never mentioned a word about her father? That would explain why she doesn't recognize him and seems disturbed by Madagaskan.

Ready, Aim, Shoot!
Another Evangelyne + Child!Reader
requested by anon!
string pulled back, arrow wavering, arrow shot...target missed yet again.
you grumbled as you tried again and again to hit an arrow in the tree at the spot you circled, having snuck off with your mothers bow earlier to try and practice all by yourself.
You'd seen your big brother floppin and your mom shoot arrows tonnes of times before, you wanted to do it too! they made it seem so easy. so why was floppin good at it and you kept dropping the arrow or missing your target?
you wanted to be able to fight like your mom, just like your big brother floppin you looked up to her a lot, you looked up to both your parents and older siblings, and you wanted to help be able to protect your family especially with a new baby on the way going to make you a big sibling instead of the youngest now.
but it was hard, you just couldnt seem to figure out how to get it right, you'd been out here behind the house practicing for what felt like hours and it was really getting frustrating.
you lined up another arrow, sticking your tongue out as you focused and tried your best to aim at the spot on the tree when...
"(name)??!" the sudden voice calling out surprised you, making you lose your focus and shoot the arrow way past the tree. you groaned in complaint.
"(name)? what are you doing way over here, i called a while ago-is that my bow?" your mother caught you. Evangelyne stood with her arms crossed. "what are you up to little one?"
too late to try and hide the bow behind your back you gave her a pout and pointed at the mark on the tree you were trying to hit. "training.." you mumbled, hanging your head.
Eva looked from the tree to you and chuckled as she seemed to connect the dots. walking over a kneeling down to your level to tap your chin and tilt your head back up to look at her. "why do you want to train with a bow, little one?"
"well cuz!" you took a breath in "i wanna be cool like you and floppin and shoot arrows and help protect everyone like you do but i just cant get it right, it looks so easy when you do it! i just...i wanna help..but i cant do it...im sorry for stealing you bow mama.." you mumbled the last bit after your ramble, holding out her bow to hand it back to her.
Evangelyne smiled warmly at you, placing her hand over yours and curling your fingers back over the handle of the bow. "here, i'll help you, dear." she said softly.
"you...will? you'll help me like you showed floppin?" you asked, smile growing on your face.
"I will." She smiled back, gesturing back to the tree with her free hand. "now, show me what your aim looks like." She began instructing, helping you figure out where you were going wrong and where to improve.
you held the bow up once more, pulling back the string and aiming the tip of the arrow right where you wanted it to go, closing one eye and looking through the other.
"no, keep both eyes open." she told you, gently placing a hand under your arm and tilting your aim upwards a slight bit. "you need to aim a little higher and account for the distance, the arrow with curve and fall." she explained, helping you straighten your stance before letting go of you and backing away a tad bit to give you space.
"ready? try now. fire." she spoke and you released the arrow on her command. it flew from your fingertips, up through the air and hit the tree! not on the mark but it still hit the tree!
"I DID IT!" you cheered and turned to her with the most triumphant grin.
smiling back with a proud giggle, Eva pat your head. "you did little one! very good! why dont you try another without my help this time?" she asked.
you nodded and lined up the bow again, straightening yourself and keeping both eyes open like she told you.
Ready...Aim...Shoot.
reblogs appreciated!
