This is also our last Long Dog post and our last post as well until we post an announcement on what we are going to do next on our Instagram page in 2 weeks or so... Hopefully.
does anyone else think that Stripe and Trixie may get a divorce soon? in "The Sign" they argued with each other, Stripe caught the bouquet (catching a bouquet means you're the next to get married, implying Stripe wants to remarry), Trixie didn't even pick up Stripe after he got drunk, she just left him there, and the thing that sticks out in my mind is that we see Socks playing with the wedding cake toppers and making them argue...while Stripe and Trixie argue in the background. She is clearly imitating what she sees her parents do, and I think it's going to have a negative influence on her mental health. Even before that, Stripe and Trixie argued in "Faceytalk" because of their different parenting styles

"Ack! Jack!"
He had brough the old polaroid from his dad's garage to photograph some locations to add to their army map, and he was just about to photograph Tango 7 when Jack had grabbed the camera out of his hands and snapped a selfie. The lively Jack Russel was now rolling on the grass, consumed by bursts of giggles. Rusty snatched the camera and the black, undeveloped film back, grinning.
"come on, we've got more places to photograph"
"got it sarge" he said, fighting to control his laughter
later that day, Rusty had spread out the polaroids from the day's adventure to label them, then handing them to Jack to be organized by location, date, and time. He pulled the next one out of the pile, then froze. It was the selfie Jack took of them earlier that day. He grinned, and wrote a little note on the bottom of the picture.
"Hey Rusty, do we have a pile for Hill 6 yet?" Jack called over his shoulder
"I'll check"
he quickly stuffed the photo into his backpack
'I'll just give it to him later' he thought
~20 years later~
Jack returned home that day to find a very peculiar letter in his letterbox. This was strange, as Jack didn't have many friends, and defiantly none that would send him an actual, physical letter. He slid it open, and smiled to see the familiar red scrawl of his best friend's handwriting. He slowly unfolded the note, and began to read.
"Jack!! Guess what!! I got you tickets to the next Cricket game!! I know it won't be the same since I won't be in the stands with you, but at least you can watch, and we can go out for dinner after! I'm sorry it's been a while since we've seen each other (faceytalk doesn't count silly), but I have to travel with the team. Hope to see you again soon! Love,
-Rusty
P.S. I found something in my desk I thought you might like :3
As he unfolded the letter, two things fell into his paw. A small, green and gold ticket, and a plain white photograph. A polaroid actually. Like the kind Rusty use to-
He gasped, then burst out laughing. It was the old photograph. The one he took of him and Rusty at their old school.
"I can't believe he kept it"
He hugged the photo close to his chest. He couldn't wait to see his best friend again.
I (3F) was doing Faceytalk with my cousins (not relevant). My dad (I think 100M) told me I had to give my sister (2F) a turn. I told him I needed to finish my cowboy hat, and he set a timer for 5 minutes. I still wasn't finished in that time, so I carried on drawing my cowboy hat. He got mad and put me in time-out, so I stole his phone and continued drawing my cowboy hat on there.
He started chasing me to get his phone back, and eventually I accidentally threw it into the pool. Him and my mum sent me to timeout after that.
Why I might be NTA: he should've let me finish my cowboy hat
Why I might be TA: apparently phones are expensive
Things in “Bluey” that aren’t good design for dog-people (1/?)
There are a number of everyday objects on Bluey that seem to be holdovers from human-world real life, they don’t seem to be ergonomically designed for dog-people.
This is probably because if they were redesigned, they’d be weird-looking to (human) viewers!
(Not an all-inclusive list!)
Headphones/headphone-style hearing protection
I know dogs have good hearing, but old-style (earmuff-style) headphones don’t cover dog ears!
Smartphones
Smartphones for humans are small but they do span the space between a human’s ear and the mouth. Again, I guess dogs have good hearing but it’s still a long way from Mum’s ear to the speaker on her phone.
An elongated dogbone-like design might be better?
Bikini-top digital sticker on Faceytalk
This is a funny addition when Muffin makes her Dad appear as a gorilla… but nobody on Bluey needs a bikini top, how would they even know what these are?
Parkade door access control
Mentioned this before; I guess this only partially counts because humans sometimes have problems with these too!
As I have a one year old, and an Australian mother, we have been watching a great deal of Bluey. I enjoy this show very much. I have also watched enough of Bluey that I have started to rate episodes in relation to cuntiness of the cast, in honor of my Australian roots.
Episode: Magic Xylophone
Cuntiness Rating: 7/10
Explanation: Bluey needs to learn to share. Bandit serves an extremely good level of cunt in response to shenanigans. But a lesson is learned and therefore it is not as cunty as it otherwise could have been.
Episode: See-Saw
Cuntiness Rating: 6/10
Explanation: Strong showing of cuntiness on the part of Bandit and Bluey and co. in taking revenge for said cuntiness in the end, but the power of friendship and learning that Size Isn't Everything keeps this from a higher rating.
Episode: Swimming Lessons
Cuntiness Rating: 8/10
Explanation: Karen is a silly old watermelon head.
Episode: Dance Mode
Cuntiness Rating: 4/10
Explanation: Inadvertant cuntiness on the part of the family, but important lesson is learned about not steamrolling people. However, this is a very rare instance of Bingo cuntiness, and so therefore must be preserved for posterity.
Episode: Butterflies
Cuntiness Rating: 8/10
Explanation: Judo, being a biblically accurate chowchow.
Episode: Bike
Cuntiness Rating: 2/10
Explanation: Sweet episode, but y'all don't want to help Bentley down?
Episode: Fairytale
Cuntiness Rating: 10/10
Explanation: Kid Bandit. Stripe. Rad. Gerald. Whatever your name is -- it was the 80s, man.
Episode: Mini Bluey
Cuntiness Rating: 9/10
Explanation: Double Bluey means double the cunt served. Bingo technically serves a mild amount in this episode, but it's for the cause of cheering up her psychologically damaged sister, so most of this is still going to Bluey.
Episode: The Decider
Cuntiness Rating: 8/10
Explanation: Australians and Rugby. It almost invalidates the rating system as this is just How You Get during rugby season.
Episode: Verandah Santa
Cuntiness Rating: 9/10
Explanation: Personally, Bluey has been a bigger cunt in other episodes, but I'm rating this one high because in this episode she chose to be a cunt to a literal baby.
Episode: Ragdoll
Cuntiness Rating: 8/10
Explanation: Bandit made a damn good showing of being a right cunt this episode, but he was a fool if he thought he could out cunt a magnificent chow chow like Wendy. Morning, Wendy.
Episode: Chess
Cuntiness Rating: 6/10
Explanation: Chili serves a respectable amount of cunt this episode in teaching Bandit he doesn't have to rush the kids to adulthood, and we stan a Queen in this household.
Episode: Faceytalk
Cuntiness Rating: 10/10
Explanation: They tried to put Muffin in Time Out.
I will update as I and my one year old continue our research in this subject.
Maybe it's just me, but I feel like Stripe and Trixie are on the verge of divorce
OKAY NO BUT SERIOUSLY, NO ONE IS TALKING ABOUT THIS!
I don’t have footage to show, but we see the two of them in the background of scenes TWICE where they seemed to be annoyed/in a disagreement with each other. Once when Chili is talking with Frisky and the next at the wedding reception outside the tent.
We even see Socks playing with the bride and groom figurines, going “no I didn’t.” “Yes I did.” “No I didn’t.” while they’re behind her, showing that this has been happening for a while now and that she is putting that into her playing.
I know with FaceyTalk, they did get into a bit of a disagreement with what to do about disciplining Muffin but they made up. But we can’t even hear what they’re talking about this time.
I hope they don’t actually get split, they’re my 2nd favorite couple on this show.
socks is the best part of the faceytalk episode shes so chill. unbothered. blissful. at peace w the world around her. muffin and stripe and trixie are all freaking out in the background the entire time and socks is just relaxing and drawing flowers. i love autism
one of my favorite episodes: faceytalk.
(spoilers ahead for bluey, if you are that worried just watch the full episode online or something)
growing up, i was lucky if my opinions mattered as a kid.
it was either "you do what i say or i am going to smack your head and then yell at you for crying "
in this moment here, bluey and bingo are a good example of what should have happened.
"hey can i have a turn?"
"let me finish this first"
"oke!"
its a respect of each others boundaries.
muffin's situation is a better representation of what I went through growing up.
muffin is 3 so i don't expect her to be mature enough to handle boundaries perfectly yet, but in this moment all muffin wanted to do was finish her cowboy hat.
instead of "it is ok, finish it up and then give it to your sister ok?"
it was "no, your feelings are not valid deal with it"
To stripe's credit, he didnt just cut the video feed either when the kids said no. there is a good chance my dad would have done that.
this episode is hilarious too and this show has a LOT of balls to have children misbevaving in a kids show. I appreciate that.
and then there is the end. the moral both applies to children AND adults.
you need to share parenting and your things
But you also need to respect others boundaries and don't force yourself in.
most kids shows would be lazy and just ✨💖❤️sharing is caring and love and woudlent the world be such a wovely place if we all shared!!✨🥰🌸
but that isn't realistic. sharing IS nice, but are you willing to "share" your car with your neighbor you barely know? how about your phone?
why not? sharing is caring after all.
as an adult that grew up in an emotionally neglectful household, i love and appreciate bluey. I am jealous that the newer generation get's to grow up on this.
I find it so interesting when a 2D show has a 3D material in it.
I useually see it for super dynamic shots with the room arround characters, like the fight scene at the end of Truth Seekers (Helluva Boss), and I think the scene where Muffin is running in Faceytalk.
Or for cars or vehicles in scenes where they’re moving. I can’t think of an exact example, but I think I’ve seen it in a family guy clip before.
It’s also visible with the ship in Pokemon Horizons. When it’s moving it’ll show the 3D shots, but with closer, inside, or for most scenes where it’s not a full or super dynamic shot of the ship it’ll be 2D stills.
It’s so interesting to see how they make a 3D object fit for a 2D show. It’s not exact with how it looks, but it can give a similarish vibe with its style.
