Steve Harvey: Rhys, "passed away" is a nice way of saying someone died. Name a not so nice way. Rhys Darby: I'd like to say, carked it. Steve Harvey: ... Rhys Darby: You know, as in, "What happened to that guy?" "Oh, he's carked it." Steve Harvey: He's cocked it? Rhys Darby: He's carked it. Steve Harvey: What a minute... Rhys Darby: Well, 'cause it's short for "carcass". Carcass? Fleur Saville: It's got an "r" in it. David Farrier: Yeah, carrrked. Fleur Saville: Carked it. Steve Harvey: Oh. Carked? Rhys, David, and Fleur all talking over each other: Carked it carked it carrrked carrr carked it Steve Harvey: What the hell's going on? Samba Schutte: I need subtitles for these guys sometimes too.

The Tribe: Where Are They Now? (Series 5)
Sources include Wikipedia, Instagram, Twitter, and thetribe.co.uk
Calen Maiava-Paras (Mega): He was actually introduced in Series 4, but played a much bigger role in Series 5. These days Calen works as a professional tattoo artist based out of Switzerland, his specialty being Polynesian traditional. His work can be seen on his Instagram. He and Tom Hern (Ram) are still friendly and they frequently refer to each other by the affectionate term “Uce” (if I remember correctly, it’s a Samoan language term that means “friend” or “brother”) in Instagram comments.
Vicky Rodewyk (Gel): Vicky has done some acting since The Tribe, but has also modeled, taught yoga and Pilates, worked as a professional dancer, and also occasionally sells her original paintings on Etsy. Much like fellow Tribe star Dwayne Cameron (Bray), Vicky has been painting since she was a child. Many of Vicky’s paintings involve ocean themes, and she even said she dropped out of art school in Melbourne, Australia because she missed being near the ocean. (Dwayne’s painting specialty, in case anyone’s wondering, is photorealistic portraits). She has married and now goes by her married name Vicky Homewood.
Matt Robinson (Slade): Since his time on The Tribe ended, Matt has returned to his hometown of Reading, England, where he and his wife are raising their three children, and he also performs with a band called The Last Picture Show, also based out of Reading, of which Matt is a founding member. The band’s formation predates his run on The Tribe, the band forming in 1999 and Matt’s turn as Slade airing in 2002. He also works with another band called Dissembler. One of his children (a son) is on the autism spectrum (interestingly enough, The Tribe co-creator Raymond Thompson and his son have also been diagnosed as being on the spectrum as well). Matt co-founded an organization called Connecting the Spectrum, which conducts workshops with companies and retailers in order to help employers better understand and connect with employees and customers on the autism spectrum.
Joseph Crawford (Darryl): Joseph is seemingly living a normal life, although I couldn’t tell if he’s living in New Zealand or Canada (where he’s originally from; you may notice while watching the show that he has a different accent from most of the cast, I could definitely detect a Canadian accent there). He has a long-term girlfriend who is originally from The Philippines, although I didn’t see anything confirming that they have married. As of this writing, he has not been lined up to interview with Raymond Thompson.
Fleur Saville (Ruby): Fleur seemingly has left acting behind, but has stayed busy traveling and among other things also teaches breathwork in online workshops run by a company called MyIntent that specializes in self-care workshops. As of this writing, she has not been lined up for an interview with Ray Thompson, and is one of the few older cast members (in other words, cast members around the same age as those who started in series 1) who has not been interviewed for the show’s official podcast.
And some updates on cast members who started in past seasons, and there are quite a few updates because of the recent Tribe podcast:
Victoria Spence (Salene): Tori is still working as a primary school teacher and has also given birth to a second child with her husband. I believe she mentioned that both of her children are boys.
Laura Wilson (May): Laura is currently living in Australia and finishing up a program in naturopathic medicine.
Ash Sundaresan (Dal): Ash has switched careers from engineering to consulting and he holds three degrees: a bachelor’s in Engineering, a PhD in Biomedical Engineering, and a Master’s of Business Administration. As a PhD candidate he did work in designing a new type of medical ventilator (kind of timely now given the need for them in the COVID-19 pandemic), but upon getting his MBA he now works as a consultant specializing in helping scientists applying their findings to working products and technologies and preparing those products and technologies for going on the market. He and his wife live in Wellington, where they’re raising two sons.
Nick Miller (Pride): He is still living in Auckland, but currently works as an editor for TV programming. He didn’t state in his interview with Ray about whether he was married or in a relationship, but did express a desire of eventually becoming a father.
