The San Diego trip was incredible. This I’ll try to be brief. The tl;dr version is that Ben is a sweetheart and so fucking silly I had tears in my eyes from laughing the whole night. Read on for a bit of our experience if you want. @hoybero and I did have the opportunity to meet Ben at the stage door after the show. It was so special. We have shared all about it in the discord, so few free to join us there, just ask anyone in it for the invite (including me, I love to chat). Ben knows about the discord now and was silly af about it. The man is so warm and so kind and so in control. His stage presence is so chaotic, but you can tell he’s in control up there the entire time.

The show was amazing. I’m not good at letting things go. I want to hold them and keep them longer. That’s not the spirit of improv. You go to a Ben show and your energy and stories help craft the entire thing. You play along and then it’s over and you have this special memory to share with the people who were there (and also a dozen silly references that will make you laugh for days that - no matter who thoroughly you can explain - will not make sense or be funny to anyone else). Please get to a show if you can. Please get caught up in the laughter and the joy and hold it in your heart forever. I know it’s a massive privilege that we were able to cross state lines to do so. It was hard but it was worth it to make it happen.

Little about the meet-

Off stage and away from cameras, Ben’s chaos is pushed to a simmer. He’s very direct and kind and attentive. I’ve realized a lot of why I love him is that duality. He’s masking, so be considerate. He’ll drop it for pictures and he leans in close, so just take a deep breath and be ready for your turn. He’s a doll but he will tease you if you give him the opportunity. DM me if you have questions on how to make it happen, but you really just need to know where to go. That’s it. Ben is gracious and walks out knowing there will be folks there and he is genuine and kind and knows how to get through the line quickly while still making everyone feel special and pulled in by his magnetism. Get to know the other improvisers faces because they are out there and mingling and so so damn fun to talk to.

That’s it. I have a couple pictures from the meet I’m dropping in personal spaces and in the discord, so they’ll be out there, but the rest I’m keeping in my heart

hi zinnia!! just finished chapter 4 and I love all the new worldbuilding and plot we learned! I keep making up new theories in my head where the story could be headed and what you have planned hahaha I am romancing milo so far and I have a question about the end of the chapter, do we have to start a relationship at that point to continue the romance or can we take it a bit slower? thank you for sharing TNM with us, it has quickly become one of my favourite IF stories :)

The way I am considering crafting it is that you will get one more opportunity with both Milo and Hazel to start their romance, right around the time you would be able to start with Gabriel or Belladonna. After Chapter Six, however, you will be locked in with who you intend to romance. Now, if you choose to romance them, this does not mean that you will have a bunch of intense romance scenes right off the bat. I still want to give the MC the show to take things slow even in a relationship. Basically, the relationship is to just make coding a bit easier. LOL
