🦾- Johnny Silverhand

• VIKT — Man, Vikt and Johnny are... complicated. He's heard of the name before, of course, especially being an agent of Arasaka, but it's an entirely different form of beast having the terrorist as a brain worm.

They start really hostile. Johnny threatening to kill Vikt in his sleep and etcetera. There is so much anger—a feeling that ends up only fueling Vikt's wrath, making him extremely volatile and violent at times. They constantly are at each other's throats. It isn't pretty.

However, that all changes, and it starts with—ironically enough—a Relic malfunction that nearly leaves Vikt a corpse. This marks the first time Vikt shows Johnny any sort of emotion other than rage; he's terrified, and he reaches out to Johnny.

And this is also the first time Johnny asks permission before assuming control. He's sitting there, watching Vikt suffer, listening to Vikt beg—a man who never begs—and he's scared shitless. He crouches there, holding Vikt's hand, trying to ease him through it.

“V… listen to me. Do you trust me?” “Y-Yes… with my life…” “You good with being Silverhand for a few?” “Ju-Just… help me, Johnny… please…” “I’m here, kid. It’s okay, I gotcha.”

They transform from enemies, to friends, and finally to (unlikely) brothers that have a surprisingly tearful departure in Mikoshi. Even now, Vikt will still think he hears Johnny nagging at him... sometimes, he'll even miss it.

• SÖREN — Sören's answer is a bit more simple, since he's no longer a "V" character.

He's definitely heard of the guy. As a kid, he idolizes Johnny; after all, in his narrow and naive viewpoint, who better to look up to than the biggest anti-corp powerhouse in Night City history? Sören would pester for tales of Silverhand, play pretend as the next to take down Arasaka and rock out on its ruins.

"GRRR, FUCK YOU, ARASAKA, BOW BEFORE SILVERHAND!" "Someone tell Sören that it's time for dinner... please."

Nowadays, he still draws some inspiration from Johnny and his legacy, causing all the trouble he can to assert his "fuck corpos" agenda.

grian for the ask game?

First impression: oh hey it’s the guy iskall tried to assassinate! oh hey they’re on the same team now! oh hey WHAT ARE YOU DOING WITH A TIME MACHINE-

Impression now: sort of like a background blorbo. i don’t watch most of his videos at the moment but i love him in terms of just, sheer vibes and the stuff he’s added to the hermitcraft server. he’s great

Favorite moment: literally all of area 77, as if that wasn’t obvious from our extremely long-standing 77-2 au. god the a77 arc is so good and it’s mostly due to the dual geniuses of scar and grian playing against each other.

Unpopular opinion: if you’ve been following us for any amount of time you’ll know that we, uh, Do Not Care For Watcher Grian. it is not canon to hermitcraft and it annoys the hell out of us whenever people try to claim it is canon to hc because like. no it’s not, it’s been decanonized twice now, please get a new headcanon this one is stale to the point of being moldy. also, (dis)honorable mention to desert duo, which we don’t mind in theory but in practice is just absolutely not our thing (at least fanon-wise) and also they have a very confusing duo name if you are like me, a s6 viewer who was a big fan of sahara

Favorite relationship: grian and iskall!!!! no seriously they are so underrated as a duo to where they’re just the right kinds of differently insane to be really fun whenever they’re in the same area. i wish they were in the same area more often

Favorite headcanon: i genuinely sincerely fucking love human grian so much. not in a “grrr bark bark i hate watchers and bird grian” way but in a “it is so deeply interesting to me if this guy who starts 75% of weird conflicts on the server and is always slightly unhinged is not some sort of otherworldly entity, he’s literally just a human and that has the potential to be a threat if you’re not careful”

Idea for a story: so like, what if he had a gun (sorry, i know this bit is probably getting old but it helps me buffer while i think of an actual idea) credit partially to @autisticlalna for this but: au where grian is a karl jacobs in the same way that the guys from mizu and the maze are karl jacobs. what this amounts to is karl (badly) pretending to be grian for a day or two while grian kicks the ass of dreamxd and the overseers.
