Probably one of the best exchanges in this episode, to be honest. No, I didn't replay this part just to hear Heulwin's stifled laughter, why do you ask?

Happy 6th Anniversary to Dreams of Freedom!
Wishing everyone a happy May 25th, 2024! It's been a long six years of writing, editing, clawing for inspiration, and celebrating together as chapters and books come out.
For some of you, Tiffany and Fiona have been steadfast companions; for others, you're just barely meeting them. Some of you have horses (aka OCs) in this race, and some of you have stayed quietly on the sidelines watching the show. No matter who you are or how long you've followed the series, you're here, and that's what counts.
To celebrate this occasion, today I've launched a YouTube channel. On it, I'll publish chapters of Dreams of Freedom, narrated by yours truly, in audio-book format. The first chapter is already up, with in-game footage and accompanying legendary soundtrack, so head on over to the new channel, Skaald of the Hearth Fires (or just @/theSkaald) and check it out!

Random thing but I kinda smiled a bit hearing part of Cerus's theme playing in Eparch's. I guess it's the familial leitmotif.

Im literally the only one in the world who cares about this but the fact that we got Cult of Verata lore from some random book laying on the ground in one of the new Secrets of the Obscure maps is everything to me

It's cute how many simulation games offer a separate soundtrack download when I'm probably just going to mute them and listen to podcasts and video essays anyway

re: my post about gorrik’s audio log last week (spoilers below)
so gorrik DID see blish, as he was before his consciousness was put into a golem body. but then he turned into a swarm of beetles that attacked gorrik. oh no..... this hurts my heart poor gorrik :(
the horror of seeing his brother whom he lost, paired with being attacked by something he undoubtedly loves (bugs/beetles) is just a double whammy of a gut punch. but yao was able to comfort & stay with him <3

Really enjoying the juicy lil bits of extra voice acting we're getting in the audio logs between the new chapters! For one it's nice to have non-instanced character development, the audio logs in EoD also rocked. And also it's nice to see that they're engaging with and paying the VAs extra for these little additions.
Non-titled expansions have always been released slowly, with 1-4 month breaks, which adds a nice amount of time to process what happened and build things slowly. It's also become increasingly clear that Anet is trying hard to not rush, and to ensure everything is released at the quality they intend. The audio logs are a really nice touch to make the waiting period a little more fun for the players, give us little extra bites of sequential lore in-between!
I just think it's neat, a handy way to get players to scavenger hunt while they wait. Looking forward to more radio records✨️
