Somehow, Heresy Thursday has returned.

Unfortunately, all that's being previewed is the damage control for last week's leak.

I painted this old school Space Marine in the brightest colours I had. It turned out better than expected.

The shoulder pads and helmet are Gauss Blaster Green, shaded with Caliban Green mixed with Lahmian Medium. They are highlighted with Gauss Blaster Green + white.

The body is an Ahriman Blue base, highlighted by blending towards Baharroth Blue, with the final highlight Baharroth Blue mixed with a bit of white.

The pink bits are Vallejo Model Color Pink, which I covered with Volupus Pink. That didn't really have the contrast effect I was going for, so I had to re-highlight with Vallejo Model Color Pink, again mixing in a bit of white for the final highlight.

Games Workshop when a product is revealed ahead of schedule because of an internal error: Whoopsie! Our bad! Really cool paintjob on that model, though!

Wizards of the Coast, same situation: Our only option is to send in the guys who are famous for lighting strikers on fire.

Bryan Ansell has passed away at age 68 (11 October 1955 -- 30th December 2023).

Bryan Ansell founded Citadel Miniatures in 1978 in partnership with Games Workshop, and co-wrote the original 1983 Warhammer Fantasy Battles first edition rules with Richard Halliwell and Rick Priestley. He became managing director of Games Workshop in the mid-1980s, and was primary owner of GW until selling his shares in 1991. He also founded Wargames Foundry / Foundry Miniatures, which continues to produce many older Citadel figures among many other ranges.

"Sin Eaters"

Finally finished this epic piece for my homebrewed space marine chapter of warrior-women, the Sin Eaters! I was shooting for that classic Codex vibe, while sticking in a few of those old Rogue Trader-esque elements that I always love. Maybe I'll mock up some kind of faux-codex cover with some graphics later down the road.
