The Duke & Duchess of York. This may be an engagement photo, not sure, but it's one of my favorites. I love how Bertie is trying to repress his joyful giggles. And I also love Elizabeth's style.
I adore finding original true colour footage of our lovely King George VI ❤️
There is so little available that I am always surprised to see his tanned skin (from spending so much time outdoors!) and the brightness of his ribbon medals.
Check out the way he just eyeballs the camera for a split second. You better look sharp and behave! Bertie’s always watching you…

A group portrait of Jared Harris, Victoria Hamilton, Claire Foy & Vanessa Kirby (as King George VI, Queen Elizabeth, Princess Elizabeth and Princess Margaret).
Based on the group portrait King George VI and Family by George Harcourt on display at the Royal Over-Seas League, and made for Season 5 of The Crown. The likenesses of the actors were inspired from stills taken from Seasons 1 and 2.
The Duke and Duchess of York (later King George VI and Queen Elizabeth) with their daughters Princess Elizabeth (later Queen Elizabeth II) and Princess Margaret.
For me, the most fun thing about this clip is not just how she looks at him - which is precious - but the way he looks back at her when she catches his eye- “well, hello!” 🥰
