It happened with his fiancé in a gurdwara in the UK in the run up to his civil marriage last year. "We went to offer blessings and had taken in a rumalla, a cloth used to cover the scriptures. .. she slipped away as elegantly and quietly as was her temperament this morning as I watched the doctors struggle to revive her delicate heart, time and again .. pumping here delicate frame in vigorous pushes to get her to live again .. and again .. and again .. 

we stood .. holding hands all of us near and dear .. the nieces and the children in tears .. until ..

I spoke up ..

leave it doc .. leave her .. she wishes to go .. stop .. do not make any more efforts .. each effort was painful for her system and painful for us to stand there and witness .. each time that ‘straight line’ would appear .. and then shift to the graphic responses of the physical pumping ..

the collection of her ashes .. and taken to the sacred places which she believed and prayed at .. 

the prayer meet .. with recitations of the Granth Saheb by the recognised Granthis .. 

and her portrait  .. by the side of Babuji , in his room ..

adorning .. 

the sound of shlokas and prayers each day and the flowers keep them company .. her and his books of prayer along side .. 

in reverence .. the room remains so ..

the gurus and granthis alike had warned her of the intensity of dreams that came when a woman grew with child; and whilst the swelling of the curve of her stomach remained beneath the shawl of her saree which hung over the curves of her frame, the sudden onslaught of sleepless nights as a result of dreams which she soon forgot had developed in her feeling a sense of increasing exhaustion.

pregnancy did not necessarily agree with her; whilst other women glowed, myriam found herself looking in the mirror wondering just who it was she was looking at; trying her hardest to avoid the circumstances and the hardship that simmered in the background of this child's life. she found herself wondering about what she wanted to do differently in motherhood this time, beyond the limits of royal protocol.

a familiar tune of a flute seemed to play in her mind, a tune she had seemingly always hummed for as long as she could remember - though only recently had she begun to hum it to herself whilst oiling her hair, or applying ointment to her skin, or even absentmindedly solving arithmetic equations with parchment resting upon her small bump.

the high commander: lady joy of house manwoody. her position is that of strategy and overseeing the standards of the armed forces of dorne, which have now become a standing army. could be a controversial move. she also decides the standards of the armed forces, and their regime.

the master of laws: lord dastan allyrion. he is the voice of justice, and works closely with the second and first minister. dastan will be the judge on trials, working closely with a jury. it is he that is responsible for ensuring the laws of the lands are upheld. drafting new ones, removing old ones, etc. master of whispers: lord doran uller. he is responsible for keeping up to date with what is happening beyond the borders of dorne. his official focus is beyond dornish borders.

the court granthi: OPEN. oh wisdom. this character is the one who can look up ancient lore, does a lot of consistent research of all things knowledge. excavation, unearthing long lost buried structures. this person is also considered to be the holiest person in all of dorne, and is dorne's link with the seven. naturally, due to their differences, this person has a lot of feelings about the rest of westeros and their version of following the seven. knowledge is power, and granted by the gods.
