For those mun questions, 6 & 8! // @anon

6. What is the general opinion of your muse’s fandom about them? Do you agree with it?

You see, this one is actually somewhat hard to answer. I tend to avoid the fandom idea of Gyro all together. I love the art, but I try my best to ignore what anyone really... says about him- or anything like that. I’ll be the first to admit how important Gyro as a character is to me, and so I tend to get defensive and easily upset should something not come across in a good light. Hate, talking down, and just general negativity about my character can make it extremely hard for me to write, so I distance myself heavily from any of those ideas.

Usually in fact, if I see negativity about Gyro I go offline for a few days. It’s just easier on me. He’s a comfort character as much as anyone else’s characters are. I could never see the point of shit talking a show, or a character, or anything- especially if it’s one you like to watch. If you don’t like that particular character, someone most likely does. It’s an odd stance but.

My general opinion is my Gyro is his own thing, and the fandom can have theirs. They aren’t one in the same, and mine is a lot different in a lot of ways.

8. For movie or TV muses, what is a scene with your muse that you hate? Why? Can you show a screenshot?

If we’re talking about specifically the show, then I can’t say I have any complaints at all. Throughout his entire appearances on Ducktales Gyro was extremely consistent in characterization and plot development. If we count the comics though...

I’ve talked to a friend quite a bit about this, but there are a lot of parts of the comics that just... don’t characterize a lot of the people well. Gyro included. I think my least favorite parts are how he acted around Fethry. Even ignoring my own headcanon- seeing how Gyro quickly shifted tune hearing Louie was related to Scrooge in Great Dime Chase, I can’t see Gyro acting like how he did to Fethry because... well that could come back to him and hurt his funding.. It didn’t make a lot of sense. It was funny him being an ass, sure.... there were other ways though. Anyone else in Fethry’s spot as long as they weren’t a relative to Scrooge would have worked great- but the good thing we got out of that comic was Fethry joining the Science Squad.
