The bearded dilf Steve demons are winning. Now I'm thinking about young businessman Steve, who always comes into the restaurant Eddie works at. He looks like he’d be arrogant and stuck-up, Eddie definitely judged him wrong at first, but he’s always super nice and tips well. The only time Eddie's seen him get even a little angry was when he told off another customer for being rude to one of Eddie's coworkers. Eddie's had the hots for him ever since then. He thinks maybe he has a chance because Steve always requests to sit in Eddie's section, they've had conversations far beyond friendly small talk, Eddie's even sure that Steve has flirted with him a couple times, giving him a wink and a smile.
Eddie finally chalks up the courage to ask Steve out, but that night, Steve shows up with a big bouquet of roses and says he has a plus-one, "A really special little lady," and Eddie's heart just sinks. Of course, Steve's some rich playboy and Eddie's going to have to watch him wine and dine some gorgeous model all night.
Eddie's so disappointed, until Steve's plus-one shows up and it's the cutest little girl that Eddie's ever seen. He just melts watching Steve being adorable with his daughter, as if Eddie didn't have a big enough crush on this guy already. By the end of the night, Eddie can hardly function around Steve. It only gets worse when Steve's little girl comes up to him at the counter, politely handing him one of the roses from her bouquet, "My dad said this is for you."
Steve winks at him from the table and oh yeah, Eddie's a fucking goner.
So when I first saw this meteor puppet with those goofy eyes, I thought it was going to be just as aggressive and weird as the rest of the singing puppet guests this season (it was probably because the holo-professor conjured them up). I didn't know Shane would take such an empathetic, sentimental approach to the meteor. I didn't know I would end up crying at the meteor's reflection on its journey and how it could finally lie down to rest on our beautiful Earth.
