Thinking about how Tommy could become Buck’s greatest love.
We all know how Buck wears his heart on his sleeve and how deeply he loves people that are close to him. There’s so much love bursting out of him, it’s enough to fill all the oceans.
Imagine how he can finally be able to express and give all this love that he feels and Tommy accepting all of it. And giving just as much love back.
How safe Buck will feel being himself in this relationship, not having to act or pretend or hold himself back, afraid to scare off his partner by the intensity of his feeling. Feeling safe because someone loves him (romantically) and accepts him for him.
And Tommy, who’s been pretty lonely it seems, doesn’t just get a partner, but a whole family attached to that partner. There’s probably been a lot of love that’s been burning him from the inside and nowhere to give it. And there comes Evan who doesn’t just accept all this love without question but also shares with him a family that he’s built.
Buck hasn’t been deprived of love ever since he joined the 118. So many people love him: the team, his sister, his best friend. But there’s always been a piece missing, he was always yearning for something.
All his friend have someone to go home to, outside of the job, and in these moments Buck is left alone. For everyone Buck is a part of their lives, but for him everyone is his whole life. He doesn’t have anyone else.
But now he will have someone to go home to. Someone who’s willing to share every single piece of themselves. Who chooses him, not because he has to but because he wants to. Who accepts him and welcomes all this love bursting out of Buck. Who is willing to do the work to make this relationship the most important one they both have ever been in.

Anyone else ever think about how, in canon, Peter probably never got to tell Tony he was the kid that Ironman saved in Ironman 2
