I knew I had to finish the Detective Pikachu Returns game before its 1 year anniversary which an overseas horrific massacre coincidentally took place. Another reason was that Nintendo plans to unleash their new handheld console prototype at the end of 2024’s fiscal year.

A bit of a recap before the sequel drops Friday.

I'm just remembering the movie where Harry had been fused with Pikachu by Mewtwo after a car crash, and I'm wondering if they're gonna pull something like that for the sequel game.

(I never played the first game and don't really recall watching a walkthru, so I'm not sure how much the circumstances of the fusion would change.)

Didn't play the original 3DS game Watched the movie when it was in theaters Got this new game on Friday morning beat it by dinner time on the following Sunday AND I LOVED IT!

🚨 Major spoilers for Detective Pikachu movie

Currently in Chapter 6 of my Detective Pikachu replay, and I forgot about Pikachu's crush on Carina. He calls her "gorgeous" and seems enamored with everything she does.

Considering that Tim's mom is still around and there's been no indication that she and Harry are separated, if DPR goes for the same twist as the movie, then that might make the first game Real Awkward in retrospect
