getting emotional over footage of an amateur scuba diver interacting with a coelacanth. they are hunted by large deepwater predators, and here comes a large creature bearing the brightest lights it's ever seen, making strange noises, but it does not shy away. it hovers, calmly, as the diver reaches out and trails a hand down its back. im strongly against the anthropomorphizing of real life animals but the stupid emotional part of me loudly insists this is because it recognizes us, the alternating movements of its four paired limbs matching the diver's four paired limbs, & it is thinking, "hello, cousins, we missed you these 66 million years, it's so good to see you again. welcome back, welcome home."

I love your vampire au more than I can describe with words, its so good and your art is wonderful
Do you think Tim or Brian know about his vampirism?
Tim is a werewolf, so even if he doesn't know what Alex is he can just sort of tell that something is up with him.
As for Brian, well...
He finds out eventually.

I know Wayne Manor probably looks as normal as possible to avoid visitors suspecting the family's past time activities..
but also I highly doubt Bruce was able to avoid making some obscure changes to the Manor just based on the fact that his children are fucking feral.
Some of the windows are either boarded up, or have cages on them from the inside, and to an onlooker, they'll probably think "Oh those poor kids, being caged inside like animals, unable to get fresh air. I always knew that Wayne guy was sketchy. "
but it's literally just because his kids won't stop launching themselves head-first out of the windows whenever Bruce is mid lecture. doesn't matter if they're on the 4th floor.
sometimes visitors will get a closer look at the inside of the place and see a lot of things baby proofed, which is weird because "Aren't all of Wayne's kids old enough to not get themselves hurt like babies do?"
No, Sharon, do not underestimate the power of 6 hyperactive children combined in a room together, they will absolutely get themselves hurt in some way.
some furniture and objects are just straight up bolted to the floor, and everyone just assumes Bruce is a perfectionist or a micromanager, but Bruce literally had no other option since his fucking kids keep throwing shit at each other, and sometimes they just do it to get the other's attention or because they just felt like it. Sometimes they'll even throw each other
I just need some DC comics that acknowledge that the Manor has some additional features that were integrated after Bruce's countless experiences with each new weird ass child he gains.

Okay so ignorant questions here because I don't know anything about this. From your experience do cats feel upset when their kittens go to be adopted elsewhere? I know there is a time when mother cats start encouraging independence, but when are they okay parting? I end up thinking about in human ways, or "woah those kittens are so small how can they be okay without their parent in a big world with only humans!", which I don't think actually reflects the reality of cats. Do kittens miss their littermates if they're adopted separately or do they just bounce back? Unrelated question, do you know why lavender decided to stop nursing bug? I don't know how cats decide on when to stop nursing either.
Yeah this is definitely a case of applying too many human emotions to an animal. I will say though, kittens may miss their littermates if they go to a home with no other cats to play with. But in my experience it's more of a boredom thing than actually missing their specific siblings. Obviously cats can bond with each other and they can be sad or scared when they lose a friend. But it's rarely a serious concern, especially for confident cats.
In regard to why Lavender stopped nursing Bug, she's kind of a bad mom lol. She hardly wanted to take care of her own kittens. She improved a little after getting spayed. But there was a period where I was hand feeding one of her babies because he wasn't ready to be weaned and she didn't care. She's also probably running really low on milk, considering she stopped nursing her kittens weeks ago and she has been spayed. She does still want to carry Bug around the house like a little trophy.
