I don't think it's the first time anyone in spindlehorse or even Viv has ever stolen a fan's work...but i thought i'd show this if you believe it's copied or inspiration.

My friend sent me this as she wanted people's response to it.

However, due to the fact i never pay attention much to merch or fanarts, it was hard to guess which one is the copy of the fan's artwork until this.

It looked like they tried to avoid the similarities in order to not get called out and try call it as "heavily inspiration" or something like that...but knowing Viv, i doubt it was inspiration at this point, it's not the first time an artist's work was used without credit and even copied.

What do you think of this? I feel like it should be talked about if Spindlehorse and Viv do not want to get called out for "copying a fan's work".

I witness Muffinezo2 being accused of "supporting" Stella's actions by Hazbin/Helluva stans

They'd made a post talking about Stella and Stolas, basically sharing her thoughts on the two bird-brains created by Vivziepop... ya know, OPINIONS. And some jackass stans claimed that they were "defending" Stella or supporting her actions 💀, which uhh no, Muffin is literally explaining that Stella and Stolas were both victims too and that people need to NOT have a double standard..

The fanservice with Martha and Mrs. Mayberry looks stupid for the simple reason that, by all laws of logic, these two should not have been together. Seriously, one ruined the other's life, and the other ordered a murder on her. And beyond that, Mayberry said that she had been a good person all her life until the moment she lost control of her rage. She clearly loved the children and her students in particular. So the question is, how could she enter into a relationship with a cannibal maniac?

Viv's hit or miss on the concept of a relationship as two people who have at least one thing they like about each other.

If there's one thing Moxxie and Blitz have both in common is that they were mama's boys and lost their mothers in a tragic accident. This can have so much interactions with one another, but VivziePop refuses to have characters with nearly same backstories bond with one another.

Both obviously have shitty fathers and were rather close to their mothers, but no, we're supposed to feel for Husk and Angel Dust whose trauma is BARELY comparable?

It's a missed opportunity like how in Toy Story 3 they could have had Jessie bond with Lotso only for him to betray the toys.

You know, at this point I'm wholeheartedly convinced that fanart/fanfiction/fan any content is what's keeping Hellaverse alive because when fan content has better writing and portrayals of these characters than the actual shows and canon themselves you kinda know you fucked up.

I'm not necessarily talking about fanon either, I've been writing within the Hellaverse RPC (roleplay community) here for almost a year now and seeing how people take these characters, deconstruct them and flesh them out with their own spin on things regardless if these are just small little add ons to already established lore or drastic changes, the share creativity coming from these writers and the muns I've befriended make me wish we had a show(s) that was made with as much love and care than those who do enjoy Hellaverse in some shape or form.

It also helps that half of that RPC is as critical and salty as I am. Birds of a feather flock together.

Don't get me wrong, the Hellaverse fandom as a whole is a cesspool of toxicity and horrible people, there are bad eggs within the RPC as well trust me, but one of the reasons why I am still in some of these spaces (critical and small groups with friends) is because I enjoy the creativity that comes out of those who do have passion and care for these shows and what they could have been suppose to what they ended up being...

Idk I feel like despite how cynical and jaded I've become and stopped watching Helluva Boss all together outside of the shorts that interest me, I like to look on the more positive parts of the fandom and community even how much the Stans and toxic fans extremely outnumber them...

Difference between a good father and a bad father

(This is mainly for folks who have at least watched Soul Eater. In case you didn't and you don't know who the red-haired man is below, his name is Spirit Albarn, a character in the series. He, like Stolas, is a divorced father. He cheated on his wife not once, but multiple times and they separated cuz of it. It's because of this that the mother is not in her (ex)husband or daughter's life and the said daughter did not have a good relationship with her father. I guess you can say his situation is a little similar to Stolas. Only difference is Spirit is a good father)

Similarities

They're both fathers

They each have one daughter

Don't have the best relationship with their daughters

They're divorced

Reason(s) for said divorce: Cheating/Affair

Both are horny perverts that like to sleep around (though in Stola's case, he has eyes set for one person)

Both around 30 years old (not really the point of this post, but it's so much of a coincidence I wanted to point that out)

And now here are the differences (the best part of this post)!

Differences

Spirit:

Is actually trying to be a good dad.

Is in his daughter's life and makes it his goal to have a good relationship with her.

Is much happier spending time with his daughter than anyone or even any woman.

Pays attention to his daughter and will be quick to be there for her when he feels she needs help, which is nearly in any case.

Won't hesitate to protect when she's in danger. Only reason why he can't is because . . . plot?

Doesn't make excuses for his actions.

Wouldn't gaslight anyone just to avoid being at fault.

Is regretful of his actions and probably wishes he could fix things, however, there's nothing he can do about it.

Still loves his ex (or so he claims) despite everything and like I said, probably wants to fix things with her, but as far as I'm concerned, she's simply DONE with him (she doesn't even make an appearance in the anime). The best that he can do is move on and focus on his daughter. He still would make passes at women, which was what got him divorced in the first place, but the way I see it, this is his way of trying to move on if they can't work anything out (not to condone that, ust saying). But we're not talking about him being a terrible husband here.

Stolas:

Despite caring about his daughter, he DOES NOT pay attention to her as often as he would think or we would hope. Neglecting her if you will.

Flirts with his sex target in front of his daughter which is very inappropriate. Spirit kinda did that a couple of times too, tho it was unintentional on his part, at least most of the time. In Stolas's case, he did it while fully aware of Octavia's presence and didn't even consider the fact that she didn't want to see it.

Makes excuses for his actions. Regardless if his reasons for it were true, it doesn't justify his them and with the way the show comes off, it makes it seem like they want us to justify the affair.

Not ONCE do we hear him apologize to Octavia for his actions or behavior. If he did apologize, it wasn't a full apology. In fact, Octavia was the one to apologize to him even though she didn't need too.

Between searching for his daughter when she is lost and hanging out with Blitzo, worried about what he's got going on, he goes for the latter, once again, being neglectful.

Not to say Spirit doesn't have his own flaws in being a father, but if Maka (Spirit's daughter) were to look at the dynamic between Octavia and Stolas, I'm sure she'd appreciate Spirit a little more. He may be a horndog, but at least in his case, his daughter ALWAYS comes first. Seriously, no way he would ever choose some woman he barely knows over his daughter.

Ironic Loona Defended Stolas In "Seeing Stars", Yet In "Western Energy" He Doesn't Give A Shit She Needs A Crucial Shot To Stay Healthy

It's ironic someone who is very unappreciative of her own dad said in "Seeing Stars" that Stolas is trying his best while she previously got mad Blitzo rightfully called her out for being shit at her job. And it feels unwarranted due to how she previously was apathetic to him and doesn't seem to think too much of him except as a horney, rich bastard sleeping with her adoptive father. But again for plot she's vouching for him because we need to hammer in that Stolas is really a good guy at his center even when again his daughter is rightfully having doubts about him being a capable dad.

Look at how he repays the fact she tried to mend his daughter's souring views on him. He's just dismissive of her healthy concerns as miniscule compared to him. It comes as indirectly ungrateful he says this while she went out and vouched for him. Loona might be a piece of work herself, but if someone defends you then I would return the favor and take her own issues seriously. And again Blitzo stated how important this was but bird boy still doesn't get it because if you are not Blitzo (and a lesser extent his daughter) he doesn't give a shit about you.

And again he forgets that Blitzo chose his daughter's health over saving him. He wants to guilt trip Blitzo that he cared about his daughter so much, but again we are supposed to cheer that Loona stood up for this ungrateful bastard when he doesn't care how going without this shot could put her in medical danger. Just face it Loona you were barking up the wrong tree defending this pos, who only cares he can live a fantasy through your dad and not actually care he has a life outside of him.

so many people in the comments were acting like it's OBVIOUS that Blitz and Fizz aren't brothers, but I apparently I seemed to have missed every clue that said so. I can't think of anything off the top of my head but i definitely know Barbie is his sister, and from what i remember we weren't clued into anything about Fizz's parents, living or not (i haven't watched the most recent HB episodes so this may have been cleared up by now). this might be a lack of clarification on the show's side but i don't know if it's just me who thought they were related in some way

No I don't blame you- while I never thought they were blood related I assumed the show was making them essentially non-blood siblings for a while based on the circus and how Fizz acts like a brother to Blitzo there.

Honestly the flashbacks in Oops didn't even help THAT much because it took me until someone pointed it out for me to realize Blitzo had a crush on Fizz/was holding the card and flower in that one scene. Until that point I'd just assumed he was jealous of how Cash was treating Fizz more like his son than he ever treated Blitzo. (And I fully admit I might be looking too far into it but that's....a weird thing to do with two characters right? Have one essentially be viewed as a son by the other person's father and give the other romantic feelings for them?)

Ok so i saw a post mentioning how Spindlehorse was hiring animators again, and i thought "huh yknow im really curious what the turnover rate of animators is in this studio" because i mean its a genuine question considering how i swear theyre hiring new animators every other week

So then i checked IMDB...

Before i go on i wanna put some context because its kinda needed for what im about to say:

On IMDB there's a section of the cast and crew page labeled "Series Animation Department". This is the section meant primarily for animators and storyboarders among other jobs in the same vein.

Now. Can you guess how many animators/storyboarders Helluva Boss has gone through in less than 2 seasons?

444.

That is four hundred and forty-four individual credits, a majority of whom didn't stay for any longer than a few episodes. I have never in my life seen an animator turnover rate this skewed.

But i saw this and i went "well it cant be that bad right, what about other shows?" because admittedly i didnt know a lot about animation so for all i knew this was normal. So i went to the IMDB pages of other animated shows

RWBY: 164 credited animators over 9 seasons

Murder Drones: 11 Animators over 7 episodes

The Owl House: 88 Animators over 3 seasons

Amphibia: 73 over 3 seasons

Steven Universe: 44 over 5 seasons

And just to be fair let's include Hazbin Hotel, which had 62 in 1 season

This means that for one reason or another Helluva Boss has gone through more animators in less than 2 seasons than shows that ran for SIGNIFICANTLY longer go through in their entire lifespan by several times and that astounds me

I find it baffling how someone as rich as ViziePop who can afford basic luxuries can still complain about being poor, when she scammed and swindled dozens.

Any rich person does that doesn't understand how being poor works. Like suuuure you can afford to keep the lights on and eat actual meals and not fast food or tv meals everyday.

You don't have to cancel subscriptions and make alt accounts to keep getting free benefits nor do you have to pirate games that are below 5 dollars because "this months money isn't gonna be enough."

You didn't have to experience being homeless and in a hotel for 18 months because the government and people in your family tried to claim your parent was sleeping with someone so they stalked you and got you kicked out.

You didn't have to deal with obamacare becoming defunct and having the entire place laid off which caused us this exact issue. You don't have to worry about living off of unemployment because you'll lose the benefits you'd get for being attached to Social Security. Nah, you don't even live in a roach infested apartment with you fearing your life because your parents are being abusive to one another.

And yet you complain about dipping and dropping money, maybe here's an advice. Stop spending money on frivolous things all the damn time. Outsourcing animators after YOU FIRED the old ones or they quit on the spot. I mean them leaving and firing constantly is going to cause issues on the long run.

People praise this woman like she's some goddess which only furthers my point of how cultish this fandom is, you are basically treating her series like some form of religion where VivziePop is some sort of God, and stalking any tags or any ill mentions of her name you come around.

I'm just sick and tired of the constant praise of someone who bitched and cried and got what she wanted. Ig if you're a woman and are popular enough and have a decent following, if you bitched and moaned and got everything, then you'd want more.

And yet WE have to pay THESE RICH BASTARDS every damn time from the IRS? Why do we as working class citizens have to pay for Rich People when they DO NOTHING to help the poor, we're basically the backbone of the fucking country having to do the bare minimum to fund some millionaires next yacht trip to the Bahamas. This fucking system is so fucking flawed.

All Viv characters are majority mean-spirited.

Yes, there are expectations like Charlie and Millie. But the majority of both show all the characters shown are mean, hateful, or say inappropriate things towards other characters.

These characters never get called out on their behavior.

And it might be funny to laugh at the joke, but once you step back and realize if you were in Moxxie place, getting fat shame in your workplace by your boss daughter and the boss himself. It wouldn't be funny anymore.

Not to mention, it been shown time and time again that Blitz follows Moxxie and Millie back to their apartment. And either watches them outside or break into their apartment.

So, even at home where Moxxie is supposed to feel safe, he still puts in the position where he has to probably make sure Blitz isn't anywhere.

Hazbin Hotel, all the characters in the main group (expect Charlie and Sir pentious) are so mean-spirited that if they existed in real life, I just know nobody would actually try to stay in the same room as them then maybe a couple of minutes.

Honestly, I genuinely believe all the characters in their respective shows are all like the family members that dislike each other, but would still meet every Saturday for family dinner, then to just get in fight with another family member.

Vivziepop fans claiming adding black features to her black characters would’ve made it “too difficult” to animate them is a hilarious excuse considering this is the same woman who had characters like these animated:

Another excuse fans have been using is that Vivziepop’s art style is “unsuitable” for black characters, despite her crew members proving otherwise: 

No art style is "unsuitable" for black characters because it's the artist's responsibility to learn how to draw them in their style. There's no excuse for black characters not looking black in your style.

Vivziepop could draw black features in her style but CHOSE not to, hence why none of the black characters look black outside their skin color, which sometimes they don't even have.
