I decided to make playlists for each of the Greek students in The Secret History.

A few things to note about each playlist:

I purposefully made it so that each playlist has exactly 100 songs in it so that I can force myself to discover new music in order to fill out the playlists as well as properly capture an exact vibe while still having diversity in each playlist.

I wanted each playlist to be completely unique, therefore there are no exact overlapping songs in any of them, with the exception of different covers of the same song being in multiple playlists.

This is how I personally interpret each student to an extent, and it may be a bit different compared to others.

The playlists are mostly based off of vibes. There are songs whose lyrics as well as vibe fit the character (in my mind), but there are also songs that are based solely off of the vibe even if the lyrics don't fit.

The songs in each playlist may change over time as I find new music that I feel better fits over another.

I hope that these playlists can be thoroughly enjoyed!

these are literally some of the dumbest tags ive ever seen. like. there’s SO much here that’s untrue, including the empathy part. “love couldnt have fixed him as a child” have you considered he didnt need to be fixed??? Did you even watch the show???? Love would have ABSOLUTELY helped him, and he didn’t need to be fixed.

like i shouldnt be surprised that people on here are Siding On The Side Of Child Abuse but… and just like god there’s so many Factual Errors here, shitty and cruel attitude aside. “torturing animals for fun” and the kid in question looks distressed the whole time & a bunch of parallels indicate that he was trying to free the rabbit, but god forbid we look beneath our first surface impressions, right?

and also, the whole “before the lab” thing makes me insane because it acts like everything in his life was fine prior to the lab. meanwhile, he talks about how he was treated as being broken PRIOR to the lab and how his mother despised him PRIOR to the lab and how she wanted to send him away to an abusive predator scientist PRIOR to the lab and that’s just the surface level shit let alone all of the subtext about what his life was like pre-lab.

and not only is it impossible for him to have been trancing victor and killing slice at the same time & theres so much weirdness there, even if he straight up murdered virginia and alice got killed as part of it, it’s not like it happened because He’s Inherently Bad And Evil. I think he was in the right to kill virginia!!!!! Like sorry but wanting to send him away to Brenner????? She had it coming. Alice didn’t, but again, there’s so much weirdness around that AND even if he did kill her, the whole thing could have been prevented if people (Virginia) weren’t trying to send him off to the lab/fix him.

Like it’s insane to me that people will watch Dart’s arc about how creatures from the UD aren’t inherently evil and how Dustin’s love made a huge impact on Dart and yet will also go “oh yep mhm the duffers wrote this Literal Human Child to be Evil and Bad and Broken and he Needs To Be Fixed but hes so broken that not even love can fix him”.

Like. Op is the one with the real lack of empathy here & I sure hope they don’t extend this viewpoint to the abused and autistic kids/people in their life. I don’t feel bad calling the tags dumb because they ARE dumb and literally factually inaccurate and they’re cruel and contributing to the stigma around people who are low empathy (and henry isn’t even low empathy).

I love that Henry Creel can both be evil and have autistic coding because it subverts the belief that the autistic “strong sense of justice” means all autists are pure, lawful good, have never done anything wrong and can never do anything wrong because JuStiCe~ (which, by the way, unfairly puts autists on an artificial pedestal/holds them to unfairly high standards that even other neurodivergents don’t really experience).

Like Henry absolutely has the “strong sense of justice” thing going on! He steadfastly thinks he’s right and justified in his behavior, completely locked on and dialed in with his “better/right/necessary” philosophy, and he’s dead set on doing his duty by supposedly “holding up a mirror” to and “saving” people. He thinks what happened in 1979 was necessary, that it was justice, while being blinded by his version of justice (regardless of where that version may stem from).

That is the manifestation of an incredibly strong sense of justice.

He’s also not right or good.

Ted is autistic. There are zero allistic explanations for anything he does.

He also has ADHD

He's bi (I mean obviously) and he's known for a while. He just says he's straight bc he thinks it's easier to say that than to explain bisexuality to straight people who just don't get it.

Trent had no idea he was bi and is shocked to find out Ted has dated men.

Has body image issues (I love making fictional characters have all my problems)

Gets diagnosed with autism later in life. Everything starts to make a lot more sense to him after his diagnosis.

He snores in his sleep and is a blanket hog. The snoring doesn't bother Trent bc he also snores.

Kinda canon but he hates being angry. Like if he is angry at someone he feels like the worst person alive.

Also somewhat canon but he's an alcoholic. He starts working on it in therapy.

Legally adopts Trent's daughter. Ted loves her so much it kind of scares him at first.

as for being mormon... hrmmmm... i'd say yes. he was born into a mormon family and was raised to be one as well. considering he talks about the devil and hell in his speech. i'd wager meeting william kind of made him more open-minded though (considering william is both trans and queer and at that point henry probably hadn't really met anyone else like that. probably still internalized homophobia tho) and he's not super strongly religious by the time fnaf 6 rolls around. mostly because i dont feel like touching mormonism with a 10 ft pole

i believe henry was born and raised in utah! part of the reason he is mormon is his upbringing. im thinking he's lived in hurricane for pretty much all his life but that is subject to change.

i think what attracts him to william is that they're subconsciously kind of on the same wavelength. both eccentric, a little bit strange, outcasts (william was, anyways, but he's more popular in utah since "trustworthy" accent + no one knows him pre-transition). both like technology on some level. and of course they're both FURRIES!!! i think henry likes william because william is the first person to actually Listen when he talks about wanting to make animatronics. maybe william brings up a rudimentary idea for the springlock system and henry's like oh thats really smart actually. and william probably shows him his fursona too
