Witchcraft Baby AU - loosely inspired by Lilo and Stitch. Wednesday is a witch who used Enid's blood to make a homunculus. Healing

Most religions have a form of healing magic - it may be called "faith healing" and "miracle".

Some healing magic is subtle, strengthening he body's own immune defences so it can fight off infections, cancer cells and hormonal imbalances. In such cases, this might not be considered magic by others.

Dramatic, sudden healings attract a lot of attention and will run into many ethical dilemmas:

What if the magician is kept in captivity to keep the king young, forever?

What if the magician is forced to heal armies that are doing terrible things?

What if the magician only heals those in power/ who can afford to pay them?

In modern society, it is possible for the line between healing magic and life science to be blurred. Magic might simply amplify existing medicines, or provide luck to surgens who are performing a particularly tricky operation.

Protection

Many people seek magical protection, and hire magicians to provide it.

A farmer might seek to protect his crops

A mother might seek to protect her offspring

A courtesan seeks protection from her lover's wives

A soldier who seek protection from attacks.

Methods through which it may be achieved:

Using an amulet, necklace, or other tools that must be carried

A mark or tattoo for protection

A circle or physical barrier surrounding the client

A blessing that wears off with time

A protection spell that can be memorized and used only once.

Talismans and Amulets

Talisman and amulets give magical enegy to the people who wear them. They are two different objects, so it's best not to get them mixed up if your story has both. The follow categorization is fluid:

An amulet gives general help, while a talisman serves one specific purpose.

An amulet keeps harm away, while a talisman empowers the wearer.

An amulet is motly secular, while a talisman typically contains divine/angelic/spiritual energy

An amulet usually works for whoever that wears it, while a talisman is custom made for one user.

An amulet deflects negative energies, while a talisman attracts positive ones.

They are generally small objects that can be worn or carried. They have symbols on them which charges them with magical power.

In ancient societies, amulets and talismans were big business, with magician earning large sums by making and recharging them.

Guarding Against Harmful Magic

Using magic to harm or kill others is generally frowned upon. However, the magician may accept the job of hexing or cursing someone, given that they are paid well.

Hexes and curses

A hex is worked in cold blood, unemotionally. A curse involves intense emotions.

A hex lasts for a given period, then wear off. A curse may last a lifetime or even generations.

A hex is usually secular, while a curse often has a religious element (placed by or on behalf of a deity)

A hex is usually Low Magic while a curse may be High Magic

A hex is always worked by a magician while a cuse can sometimes be worked by a non-magician

A hex can affet an object or a person, a curse almost always affects a person.

Hexes tend to cause great nuisance, while curses bring long-term devastating harm.

Protection against magical attacks

The afflicted person may seek to undo the hex or spell, often at a high cost (even life)

Rituals may either aim to deflect other magical attacks, get rid of the attack, or send the spell back to the sender.

Sometimes, placing a curse or hex has a consequence to the caster, and this will deter a magician from doing it in the first place.

The client may pay to lessen the impact of a curse or seek drugs to ease their pain under it.

Mercy, Karma and Justice’s birthday starts a wave of birthdays across the neighbourhoods!

Time flew by. Reed and her wives, Kana and Ivy, are still going strong after many years. It feels like yesterday that the wives were in a tangled web of dating each other without realising it. Kana shared her feelings with the spellcaster and the alien, bringing them together in a polyagamous relationship.

The wives formed a band, the Fated Mates. They’ve had award winning albums and number one singles. They’ve toured the world - small and large venues. They got married. They bought a home that once belonged to the founder of Reed’s family - Fabian Quick. They had three children - Ashe, Thorne and Hex. They have lots of wonderful grandchildren.

However, it’s taken years for the spouses to work through issues that arose in their youngest child, Hex. There are three grandchildren that they’ve never met. Reed hopes that as she enters her twilight years, she’ll be in full contact with her family.

Finishing up a simple birthday cake, Reed calls her wives over. They take it in turns to blow out the candles, aging up into elders!

Summary: Human-Vampire relationships are common in society. You decide to take the next step with your vampire girlfriends and propose to them. They thank you by giving you the one thing you desire the most - their fangs.

Vampirism had come out of nowhere in ancient times. Historians believed that it started from a curse that spread around to victims that the vampires killed. When a vampire was able to be studied, they discovered that those creatures have two sets of glands in their mouth. One filled with venom that’s used to change people into one of them, and another liquid that acts as a blood thinner. With the blood thinner, it flows through the body at a faster rate and allows vampires to get more blood from their victims. They were feared by humans for their unnatural abilities and war broke out between the two species.

Humans got tired of being slaughtered in the dark and the world leaders came together to make a pact. Vampires would be accommodated in human society as long as they did not needlessly murder. The vampire leaders agreed and a thousand years later, vampires have become a normal part of society. Human-Vampire relations are commonplace and even encouraged. A human named Jayce Talis had created hexrings which are specialized rings that allow a vampire to walk in the sunlight. The only condition was that it had to be gifted by a human for it to work. So, hexrings became a sign of commitment between a vampire and a human… and you were currently picking up four of them.

There was a decent crowd of people in the jewelry store this morning. You were tired from the surprise visit one of your girlfriends decided to spring on you. Sevika was always busy with her line of work, so you made the point to welcome her into your home even if you needed to be awake in the morning. The low energy you were feeling wasn’t from her feeding on you - something you were surprised she didn’t do - but from the intense sex she treated you to.

“Y/n?” You hear Sky call your name. You whirl around to see Sky smile at you and place a long, black box on the counter before opening it up. You gasp at the four rings, their blue gemstones glittering in the light. Each ring was in a different style, but the one thing they have in common is your initials inscribed in the band.

“Can I?” You glance up at Sky with excited eyes, making her laugh.

“Of course, you can, they’re yours!” Sky grins, “It’s better if you examine them now and make sure that you like how they turned out. I will say that you’re the first person to ask for four of them. Two is the more common amount.” You pick up Ellie’s ring and smile at the crescent moon they turned the gemstone into. You knew she was going to lose her mind since she was obsessed with space. Abby’s ring is a coin ring that speaks to her hobby of collecting coins. Vi’s was a simple band with a solid line of hex crystal going through it, so it wouldn’t bother her in a fight. Sevika’s was designed like a sovereign ring and meant to add to her intimidating demeanor. You were positively happy about the way they all turned out.

“I love them, Sky! They’re made the exact way I envisioned them!” You squeal.

“I’m glad you do! You gave us a challenge with making four different ones. Please stop in and tell me what they think of them.” Sky requests.

“I definitely will.” You nod, feeling unbelievably happy as you watch her wrap it up. You’re handed the bag and you tell her goodbye, excited for the night to fall. You head to the front of the store, clutching the bag in your hands as if it might disappear. As you open the door to the store, you squint your eyes as they adjust to the sunlight. ‘I’m going home and sleeping all day.’

You wake up a few hours before nightfall and make something to eat, indulging yourself in something sweet to calm your nerves. Besides, having sugar in your blood was always a treat for your girlfriends. You didn’t do it often, only when it was a special time like an anniversary or a birthday. It was a little confusing as to how it worked, but they could taste any dessert you ate in your blood. Scientists were still trying to figure out how but they assume it has something to do with the extra sugar in your blood that’s not used as energy. You didn’t care why, but you did care that it was the only thing from their human lives they could taste except for alcohol.

With a nervous breath, you place the box with the hexrings on the edge of the bed and straighten up the bow on it. ‘Okay. Okay. I just have to change.’ You grab your lingerie, slip into it, and put the matching robe on over it. As you tie it closed, you hear a knocking on your door that makes your heartbeat pick up. ‘They’re going to be concerned when they hear my heart beat so I won’t have long to lead up to it.’ You bite your lip and open your door to see all four of your girlfriends standing there.

“Hey, peaches.” Vi grins, “Why are you so nervous?” You exhale a laugh and step out of the way so they can come inside. You make sure to lock the door behind them. Although vampires couldn’t enter the house without being invited in, humans were still something to worry about. You turn around to see them getting comfortable, removing their shoes and jackets and sharing brief kisses with each other.

“Nervous? Ah, well… I’ll answer that question in a minute.” You give a wobbly smile, leading them to your bedroom as you try to calm down your racing heartbeat. ‘Why am I so nervous? I know they’ll accept it, and even if one of them doesn’t that’s okay. Just calm down, Y/n. Calm down.’ You purposefully stand in front of the box when you walk into the room and ask them to stand in front of you. With curious glances, they do so and you let out a long breath. ‘I feel like I’m going to throw up.’

“I know you can hear my heart freaking out which is for a reason” You chuckle nervously, reaching behind you to pick up the box, “Abby. Ellie. Sevika. Vi…” You reveal the box and shakily undo the bow, hearing the click of the magnet as you pull it open.

“Will you walk in the daylight with me?” You ask, smiling sweetly at the glitter of the rings.

“Holy shit!” Ellie exclaims.

“Are you serious?!” Abby gasps.

“Of course, she’s serious! Do you see these rings?” Sevika scoffs, but you can see the disbelief in her eyes.

“You’re sure about this?” Vi blinks, gazing at the box in your hands.

“I am serious.” You giggle, your girlfriends’ reactions helping you relax, “I want the four of you by my side for as long as I’m alive. One day you’ll take another, but my love will forever allow you to feel the sun on your face. Please… will you accept this token of my love?” When a human gives a vampire a hexring, that’s the deepest form of commitment possible. Humans only live for so long and to give this ring was a way of saying that you’ll be with them forever. Only the human that puts it on can remove it so in death, it will remain. If a vampire accepts, it means that their love for that human is worth remembering forever.

“Yes!” Ellie practically hops forward. You laugh softly, slipping the ring on her finger, before leaning down and kissing it. The ring glows and Ellie’s eyes go wide as she admires it.

“This means I can show you off in the daytime.” Sevika smirks as she steps forward, “I’m not passing this up.” You shake your head with an amused smile, putting the ring on her finger.

“If you think I’m saying no, I might just have to bite you.” Vi jokes, holding her hand out.

“You already bite me.” You tease her but repeat the action. Vi grins and kisses your cheek before you turn to Abby.

“Abby-”

“-Don’t.” Abby shakes her head and steps closer to you, “Owen is in the past. I know you’re only asking to make sure it’s what I want, and it is. I am more than happy to accept this ring from you.” She holds out her hand. Tears sting your eyes as you take the ring out of the box and put it on her. With a soft kiss, the ring glows and all of your girlfriends are officially yours. A warmth around your ring finger has you looking down and watching in awe as a crystalline ring appears. ‘Sky told me this would happen after the rings were accepted but it’s still amazing to see.’ You step back with a teasing smile, untying your robe and letting it drop to the ground.

“Well?” You raise an eyebrow at their lustful gazes, “Who’s first?”

“Who’s first?” Sevika chuckles.

“You do realize we’re your wives now?” Vi tilts her head. They all take slow steps toward you as their eyes turn red and your pulse quickens. You take a step back and squeak as you fall onto the bed.

“We’re not taking turns this time.” Ellie smirks.

“Oh.” You swallow, feeling your body heat up. ‘They’re not taking turns.’ You blink and then shriek as your body is dragged further up the bed. You look behind you to see Vi and Ellie grinning at you with their fangs on display. The bed dips near your feet and you turn back around to see Sevika and Abby. You’re speechless as they tear your lingerie off, the loud sound of ripping fabric sending a shiver down your spine. Sometimes you forget that your wives are dangerous creatures that can kill you with no effort. During sex was their favorite time to remind you. Sevika and Abby spread your legs open wide as your head is tilted back by a hand in your hair. Your heart is fluttering in your chest as you’re blindfolded and your body tenses in anticipation.

Some quillkiller headcanons bc I need murder wives

After the first wizarding war whenever Rita had the option to ‘interview’ Death Eaters in Azkaban she went straight for Bellatrix’s cell to see her lover

In Hogwarts they started talking because Rita was an eavesdropping bitch and overheard Bellatrix talking about Voldemort in their third year and fucking cornered her

Bellatrix always volunteered to help Rita with people who hated her, since everybody did, and Rita would refuse. Bellatrix didn’t care though, whenever someone looked at Rita the wrong way she hexed them or Cruicoed (?) them.

Toxic separately radioactive together, not very much to each other though

Rita learnt her first unforgivable from Bellatrix but silently vowed she wouldn’t use it

Bellatrix learnt peak journalist skills from Rita which helped her greatly after she left Azkaban (even though she could barely remember them, or Rita for that matter)

Their first murders were together in Hogwarts 7th year, because someone caught them making out, so they killed them. Poor guy (his name was like Arnold because I made this up)

They never properly broke up, but it was greatly implied when Bellatrix went and married Rodolphus (honestly he isn't murder enough for her, sorry all rodolphus's out there!)

Bellatrix was Rita's first love, and only love, and when Rita died all she could remember was Bellatrix (y'all I do not care if Rita has a husband or smth in canon, bc I don't remember)

Considering Lily lives in LA and it’s becoming more common for ppl, kids especially to be somewhat bilingual in the US it wouldn’t b out of place for her to know at least a little bit of spanish (at enough to know when she’s being insulted or being told to move or whatever). Granted Azura would’ve been taught Dominican Spanish so there’s a few differences (just a few minor differences based on my research, that Lily would pick up after a while from hearing Azura and Luz). Azura knowing Thai however, she’d probably pick up a few words here and there from being around Anne and her wives, Grandma and Grandpa B when they’d babysit, or the Thai Temple when going there for touristy reasons.

Still, them using a different language to insult each other is funny, especially when later on one of them reveals that they’ve been taking classes (and the Language Owl) so they can know what’s being said

Recently Got into Twisted Wonderland and had this thought:

So like a general “Replaced AU” Where MC is pushed to the side in favor of a newer, shinier, human that just so happened to fall into their realm. All the while MC is trying to come to terms with the fact that they’re not the favorite anymore.

But things start to get weird. 

First it starts with conversations cutting off midway when the others look away form MC, only to be shocked to see them there a second later, Classmates that MC chatted casually with before no longer recognize them, and then, finally, memories that the others have of MC get muddle and sometimes MC even gets replaced in them with the new Human.

So MC starts to dig deeper. What they find is that someone put a hex on them, one that causes those around MC to forget they exist when MC is not in their line of vision (Like Object permeance). The closer they are to MC the longer it takes for them to completely forget MC and have their memories replaced by the new “Human” 

The thing is MC was not the type to sit down and take it, nor would they fall into a depression because their friends ignored them. Once they figure out something weird is going down they start to devise a plan. 

The story takes a quick turn from angst to thriller, and then to revenge at that point. MC learns that the Hex is placed on them instead of, say, the whole school so that opens options (MC might be able to leave the campus for an extended period and the effects will wear off, but that’s risky. Since the Hex is centralized tho they just have to find a way to deHex themselves.) 

But then MC also learns that the Hex not only extends to their classmates but also the replacement “human” as well. Apparently, the newcomer is not immune to their own Hex so they start to gradually forget that MC was their target in the first place, and sometimes even believe that they really were the ones that helped save the others from overblotting.

MC, rightfully pissed, uses this to their advantage. It’s cruel, the more the Replacement forgets the more they take on MCs original personality. MC- knowing their own fears and worries- uses that to their advantage to put the Replacement under extrem duress during this time as one big “Fuck You” for doing this to them as a side project while trying to remove the Hex.  

(There’s also this idea where MC joins up with the Che’nya who doesn't remember MC but is also fully willing to cause some chaos whenever it calls for it. Most of their interactions involve MC being like “Here we’re gonna do this because shits going down and you’re one of the few people I can rely on as long as I make it worth your wile” while Che’nya is like “Oohohoho! What is this! I love chaos and you’re interesting!” with a side of “I can feel that someone is messing with my memories and I don’t like that they’re one step ahead of me so I’m gonna follow this person who seems to know what’s going on for answers.” 

On top of that, Che’nya and MCs interactions lead up to MC tying a string around his finger as a old wives tale Memory Jogger. It works with varying results.) 

Malleus is eventually able to knock himself out of the Hex- after some angsting and shit on MCs part- being a super powerful mage and all. He seeks out MC without the Replacement knowing and after a heartfelt moment they get to work on getting rid of the Hex and the replacement. MC insists that Malleus keeps up the charade while trying to Undo the Hex seeing as the Replacement has everyone on their side and who knows what kind of backlash would occur if they went in guns ablaze with no proof (And they don’t know if the Hex will lift when the Replacement is dead/gone) Malleus is against it, partly because he doesn't like the idea of something messing with not only his memories but the memories of his friends, but also because this thing dared to try to take the place of the Human he’s in love with and he hates the idea of having to pretend to be in love with it. 

Eventually though, they come up with a plan. 

They’re going to push the Replacement to the point of overblotting in order to prove that they’re not the Human everyone thinks they are. MC already has them on edge so all it will take is a few more pushes to get them off the deep end. Malleus resultantly agrees, understanding that the end goal will be reached easier if he acts his part. Before parting ways MC ties a red ribbon around Malleus wrist, worried that Malleus might forget them. Malleus accepts the ribbon, but assures MC that he could never forget them. 

A lot of psyching out happens, toeing the line of psychological horror. MC keeps to the shadows with Che’nya and leaving Replacement with the terrifying feeling that something awful just happened but being unable to remember what. Malleus goes pretty far, Showing a lot of the cruller sides a Fae can have when someone messes with something they consider theirs, but the last thing to set Replcment off is a few words from Malleus.

A simple “I don’t love you, I never loved you.”

Replacement overblots. MC and Malleus work together to fight it off-

 (Which brings its own set of issues. Like the fact that Replacements memories are the same as MCs pretty much bringing up the question of weather or not that absolves them of their sins since they’re technically a whole new person the same body who doesn't even know what they did wrong. If there’s any forgiving what Replacement did to MC and what MC did to Replacement in retaliation. Replacement questioning if maybe MC is the one trying to take their place and not the other way around. Etc. etc.) 

- and the chaos calms. Eventually everyone comes together to get rid of the Hex and then profusely apologize to MC who knows it’s not their fault but is still a little cranky about the whole situation (Also they're freaking tired, like goddamn they haven't slept in their bed in Weeks) As things settle the next few days MC notes that Malleus still has the ribbon they gave him and tells him that he doesn't have to wear it anymore. Malleus insists on keeping it tho, citing that anything MC gives him is precious and, now, whenever he looks at it he’s reminded of how much he loves them. 

End.

I want to say Tango honestly because he always has been somewhat painfully mediocre and has famously always final-deathed in underwhelming and meaningless ways

5am Shift- Ok bear with me here. This doesn’t really fit Pearl other than the song title (lol) and maybe you can make some parallels to cleaning lady Pearl but it gives me her vibes. Plus it’s just a whole jazzy banger and one of my favorite songs so it’s going here anyway :)

Nullified- for the end of limited life. pretty self-explanatory ‘wasted all my minutes/trying to stay alive/and look where it got me/I’m just the last one nullified’ honestly worked better before the actual finale because martyn was more manic about it than this song would imply

STRIKEOUT!- life series mumbo my horrible wet cat. this song is a little weird but it suits him I think

I'm just gonna allow myself to be fully cringe at this point. LFG. It's all under the cut :)

Nemona's family are the descendants of the Paldean emperor, who fell from grace and more or less disappeared after the Treasures Of Ruin + the catastrophe of the Great War with Kalos completely decked the economy and whatnot

The family inherited the king's wealth and political connections, which allowed them to maintain power / status / wealth until the point where they were able to secure themselves as a tech empire within the new capitalist system. Rich people stay rich and whatnot

But being descendants of the king came with extra baggage too-- the king was wildly unpopular and got cursed by basically every witch / mage / merchant / powerful artifact that existed in Paldea at the time. Dude just would not leave the cursed artifacts alone and managed to piss off every magical person and being on the continent so he has a litany of curses

The Treasures of Ruin were sealed and the king died, so a good 98% of the curses and hexes plaguing the king, his family, and Paldea as a whole disappeared. Over time, magic as a practice was mostly forgotten about as Pokemon filled the roles traditionally occupied by witches and warlocks, so everyone forgot about the curses. However, the family still has to deal with a few:

The king once angered a forest spirit by hunting within her woods and was cursed so that his and his bloodline's arrows never find their mark. Tragically this applies to pokeballs as well-- everyone in the family cannot successfully throw a pokeball no matter how hard they try

The king has lousy genetics which has managed to haunt them for centuries. That's not an actual magic thing unless you count being a rich European as a curse

There's also the whole werewolf thing, which is a little more complicated. It doesn't affect everyone in the family, for starters, and only ever affects the wives and daughters. I'm honestly still working on the specifics of the backstory for the whole thing, bc I want it to tie into the AU thematically and also give a reasoning behind who inherits and the curse and whatnot. I will keep yall posted on that one but also am taking ideas bc atm I got nothing

Anyway the curse is related to bloodline, so despite the circumstances for the curse and the mage who did it being ancient history, the curse still afflicts members of the family

It starts when young, and the shifting, because it's mostly driven by emotions, is completely involuntary. It's become family tradition to isolate any werewolf children from the outside world until they can control it / keep their emotions in check, which leads to most of the cursed children feeling lonely because they weren't able to go to school or play with other kids as a child. They do get to interact with anyone in the family though, as they know about the curse and can deal with it, as well as pokemon, who are strong enough to handle it. Don't want ur kid having a tantrum and biting someone with big ol fangs

Speaking of biting bc it's a curse it can't be passed to others by any means so dw about being bit. It'll hurt, sure, but you won't turn into a werewolf

Most cursed kids manage to control the shifting by the time they're around 10, and get to go to school and start playing with other kids around then. By this point they also know enough to not reveal the curse to anyone else

Shifting is dependent on the intensity of emotions like anger and fear so the family suspects it acts a bit like a stress / threat response. It also happens on a spectrum, so there's a pretty wide range of Wolfish-Ness that they can turn to depending on the circumstances. The only non-emotional shifting that can happen is on the full moon-- during the night they shift completely, having lost their minds and acting only on instinct. This is the "lock them in a room you can't reason with them" kinda thing

I see the full moon thing as the equivalent of sleepwalking or being heavily intoxicated. Occasionally there's a vague understanding of what's happening, but all their senses are off the charts and the cocktail of overstimulation, pain from the transformation, and insane bursts of adrenaline makes them unable to be reasoned with. During non-full moon shifting through they have far more control, provided they don't spiral and shift completely

The family does their best to keep anyone cursed out of the public eye and distance PR from them as much as possible, both for fear of their status and power being jeapordized and also because they fear what will happen to the cursed person if people find out

I'll add more later but these are my like. initial thoughts. I feel like the rest of the rival gang doesn't actually know about the curse yet, but roll with it when they do find out-- after realizing your friend's dad got mauled to death by your motorcycle lizard and watched his AI copy time travel I think "werewolves" are pretty low on the weirdness list
