How to make the Traditional Meatballs Soup
Today I will share a special recipe. It is a traditional recipe from an area in the South of Albania, Gjirokastra. Meatballs’ Soup is very famous and more than two centuries old. It is known as the preferred soup of Ali Pasha Tepelena, an Albanian senior military commander and vizier during the Ottoman Empire period. Some legends say this soup was created in purpose for his taste. That’s why its…

Even if you can't eat it, there's something so beautiful about finding an herb or spice in your food that your parent was supposed to remove before serving but didn't find. I take this bayleaf with a whole and fervent and joy. I cherish this cardamom pod with all of my heart. They're symbols of the homemade love and they're evidence of all the effort and unseen work that went into a delicious heartfelt meal.

Going to be honest with this recipe.
My partner and I eat pizza once a week and we used to get a frozen pizza from Aldi, but the cost has gone up to an insane degree. It's an okay pizza for $4, but if I'm paying $7, I expect them to have enough cheese to cover the sauce, and a few more pepperoni.
So now I make pan pizza from scratch. I can make two batches of dough at once, so I freeze one for later use, then defrost it in the fridge during the day. In the time it takes the oven to heat up, I can throw on some tomato sauce, some mozzarella cheese, and a LOT of pepperoni.
I was curious what the cost per serving was, but also the total cost to start (e.g. a brand new oil and flour). To buy everything is $15.
But it can make at least three pizzas. And frankly, the oil and flour will make even more than that.
Cheaper than takeout, cheaper than crappy frozen, and better than both.
