A/N: Hello~✨ Thank you so much for the request and the critique. I have now added some translations at the bottom of the fanfics because I forgot how weird tumblr can be about copy and pasting stuff😅. Also I hope that I didn’t disappoint with this as I was kinda struggling on what to write for this one.

-Still haven’t seen the movie so be warned I may get some stuff wrong-

The cackle of women enjoying the fruits of their labors filled the corridor of the abandoned warehouse as they surrounded the machine they were working on. It was a tall glass sphere with some kind of purple dust floating around inside while two titanium computers stood on either side of the device.

The three women standing around it were a set of Green Goblins who jumped from different dimensions to find a universe where there wasn’t an arachnid hero to stop them from using a bomb to take control of the city.

However they didn’t expect there to be four spidermen to be observing them around the property with one little spider hiding along the walls of their lair.

“Lyla,” Miguel whispers as he observes the meeting from the top of another warehouse. “Analyze the contents of that bomb and tell me how bad it is.”

The yellow AI materializes in front of him as Miguel tries to swat her away like a fly, not wanting her to compromise his location. Lyla rolls her eyes and explains, “The dust in that little bomb they have is made from spores of this rare mushroom. It’s been reported that inhaling the spores can cause drastic changes in behavior, mood swings, and mild hallucinations. Most cases detail paitents becoming aggressive and violent.”

Jessica’s voice buzzes through the intercom as she quips, “So they are planning on driving the city into a state of panic?”

“Sounds like it.” Ben Riley gruffs in annoyance. Miguel couldn’t help but roll his eyes as he knows the Scarlet Spider was still pissed that he couldn’t go ahead and stop the goblins.

“Sounds like a party to me, mate.” Hobie cracks as he watches from the ground. “Oi, Sunny, Dear? Wanna crash their party?”

“Yes, a party of people violently hurting each other and causing mass chaos does sound like fun.” Miguel grumbles saracastially before scolding Hobie. “She can’t reply to you, Brown. Not when she’s undercover.”

Miguel can barely make out her outline with the infared of his mask lens, but he can see his little jumping spider wander among the goblins unseen.

A big advantage to have someone with his beloved’s powers. She had almost every trait of the typical spider men, but she had a unique camouflaged ability. Without the suit Miguel made her, she can lower her heart rate and rapidly chill her body temperature so she can remain undetected by infared. She can also go invisible for a few moments without the suit, but both abilities are limited due to how strenuous it was on her being.

The suit allows her to remain undetected for a much longer time and prevents her from putting too much strain on her body. The slight heat the suit emits to keep her body functioning is the only thing that Miguel can use to track her. A major drawback of her gift is that physically she’s not as strong as the others, but she can handle herself in a fight.

Of course, he’s always there to help her. Her protective predator and his gentle prey. A match made in heaven as Jess always jokes.

“(L/N).” Miguel whispers into the com as he watches his love sneak around the device. “Attach the bug I gave you to the main computer so Lyla can deactivate the bomb.”

He makes a signal to the others to tell them to be ready for the ambush. The plan was suppose to be a simple get in and out. The invisible web shooter would get the bomb deactivated while Miguel, Hobie, and Ben rush in and take out the goblins. Jess served as support in case the villains ran past them. It was suppose to be an easy mission. Until it wasn’t.

As the bomb got deactivated, a light beep from the monitor causes the Goblins to turn around and notice that someone tampered with their bomb. Before the little spider could escape, one of the Goblins throws a jack o lantern explosive at her, causing the glass vial to exploded.

Miguel’s blood ran cold as he witnesses his love engulfed in black and purple smoke, and all reason went out the window as he rushed into the contaminated warehouse to save her.

“Miguel, wait!” Jessica screams out she drives her bike in front of the other two spidermen trying to rush in.

“What gives, Drew?” Hobie snaps, concern burning in his eyes. “We gotta get in there.”

“Not without these.” She snaps back as she hands the boys four sets of gas masks. “Lyla said it’s transmitted through air. Hurry up and put these on.”

Ben grumbles and slams the mask on before running in while Hobie and Jessica share a look. “You think Sunny will be alright?” The spiked spider asks as he places the gas mask on his already covered face.

“She better be.” Jessica sighs. “I definitely don’t want to find out how Miguel will react if she wasn’t.”

With that Hobie runs in while Jessica calls for backup to help contain the spores seeping from the windows.

“Vitals appear to be normal.” Spider-Doc mutters to the three spider people surrounding one of the hospital beds. “O’Hara and (L/N) are both looking good on blood pressure and brain activity, so I expect them to wake up anytime soon.”

Thankfully, Hobie and Ben managed to capture the green goblin trio and reinforcements came just in time to contain the spread of the bio weapon. However, both Miguel and his companion were found bloody and unconscious when they found them.

The beloved spider woman had most of the damage with several shards of glass impaled into her back and arm while gaining a severe concussion. The team figured that in the rush of the moment and his vision obscured by the cloud of dust, the goblins took Miguel by surprise and got him with three sharp projectiles while he was trying to help Sunny.

Despite the horrific scene, both of them were deemed to be alright after some surgery and the only physical damage was Sunny’s now broken arm, which should heal in about a week thanks to the signature spiderman super healing. The only worry was the psychological damage.

Both were definitively exposed to large quantities of the gas and from what Lyla had said about the mental effects of the spores, they were worried about an invisible spider and her beast of a companion tearing everything apart.

Jessica sighs as she sadly gazes at the broken and restrained bodies of her friends as Hobi places a small bear on his little friend’s bed.

“Didn’t Lyla say anything about how that antitoxin is coming along?” Peter says as he bites his nail.

Spider-Doc nods as his lens shifts to appear like he’s hopefully smiling. “Lyla has said thanks to the samples from their suits, an antitoxin will be finished in two days.”

“Two days?!” Hobie snaps up. “We are about to have two spidermen possibly going on a rampage if we piss them off. I don’t think we can wa-“

A soft groan emits from the bed beside the ranting anarchist and everyone’s attention breaks from the poor doctor and onto the small spider. Her eyes flutter open as she frowns at her surroundings.

“Sweetheart, are you okay?” Jessica soothes as she helps the disoriented girl sit up in her bed.

“I’m fine.” The girl said in an unusually blunt way. Her eyes now harden in an annoyed expression as she looks around at the group. “Next time, you guys should be more considerate to someone recovering from having their shit rocked.” She scolds before growling at the pain.

The sight of the sweet girl now acting so bothered towards their presence was so unsettling, but not unexpected. They were aware the sweet girl they knew was gonna be changed by the gas, but it’s still disturbing.

As they all stare at the glaring girl, a deep groan comes from the bed next to her as her attention focuses on her love. Her anger emerges as she snaps back to the spiders.

“What the fuck did y’all do to him?! Was it that asshole Ben Riley? I’m gonna kick his ass if he’s the reason my Miggy is in-“

“Cariño?” A soft mutter causes her verbal rampage to end as a pair of ruby eyes focused on her. Once she meets his eyes, an uncharacteristically soft grin comes over his face as he mumbles sweetly. “Hola, mi niña bonita, ¿cómo te sientes?””

“I’m fine.” The girl mumbles as she tries to keep her stern face while a little dusting of blush takes over. “What about you?”

Miguel chuckles at her face and gently reaches over and caresses her hand as he swoons, “Siento que puedo enfrentarme a un toro ahora que he visto tu hermoso rostro, mi amor.”

The group of spidermen looked at Miguel horrified as he looks up at them. Expecting him to snap at them or try and escape his restrains, but he doesn’t do either. He gives them a bright friendly smile as he cheers, “Oh, you guys made it out alright. I’m glad we are all still here together. Great job, everyone.”

Hobie backs up a couple of steps trying to calm his raging heart before he had a heart attack from the shock. Jessica looks at him disturbed as she silently records the duo on her phone to show her husband later. Peter calls Lyla on his gizmo as his face looses all color.

The AI emerges out of the gizmo with a cheery, “Hello~ you ringed?”

“What’s wrong with Miguel?” Peter snaps as he hears Sunny immediately yell at him about what he said about her Miggy.

“Oh I meant to warn you about that. Well the aggression is on a most case scenario kinda thing, not an every case thing. Since Miguel is more genetically altered with spider than Little Miss Sunshine, his natural aggression cancels out the one caused by the bio weapon.” The assistant explains.

Hobie laughs at this as he looks at the now confused Miguel, “So our big bad leader is as harmless as a kitten now?”

“Yep.” Lyla giggles. “And because our sunny pants there was as dangerous as a jumping spider before this, she’s now part of the majority percentaile.”

“What the fuck did you say about Migue, you twig?!” The formerly harmless girl bucks in her restraints as her protective nature causes her to want to thrash the punk star.

“Mi amor, por favor cálmate... No está tratando de ser grosero…” A now teary eyed Miguel tries to sooth his partner in a shaky calm voice.

That was when Jessica realized a mistake they made. When they restrained the pair earlier, Miguel was placed in titanium bands that crossed over his chest, arms, legs and hips. Since Sunny wasn’t considered a ‘major’ threat in comparison, she was just held down by some chains.

Because of this, the earth deafening sound of chains shattering cause all of the spiders to scream. The AI giggles as she responds,

“I forgot to mention that the chemical not only increases aggression, but also physical strength. In humans, they would just be slightly stronger than normal, but in Miss (Y/N)’s case…”

The rest couldn’t hear what else Lyla had to say as Hobie started booking it down the hall with a pissed off Sunny hot on his heels. Jessica frantically tries to undo Miguel’s restraints as he cries for his lover to come back.

Peter sighs and asks, “How much longer until the antidote is ready?”

“I can rush it for you. Should take another 3 hours hopefully.”

“Do you have any tranquilizers?” Peter asks as a now free Miguel tries to chase down his angry lover.

“No~”

DL characters from most to least intelligent?

Disclaimer: This top incorporates intelligence as in brain power, perceptiveness and so on. It also has nothing to do with morals or the DL Tokutens, since those are just for fun and not the most accurate version of the characters, therefore it’s based on routes, serious CD dramas and official short stories.

1. Laito

It's no longer a secret that Laito is extremely intelligent to the point of being terrifying. I've already discussed his big brain in this post, but I'll try to summarize it here. This man can read everyone like a book; he can easily absorb and apply any type of information. He's also the only character who can manipulate everyone, including the AB boys, and even Carla was surprised by his intelligence in Dark Fate. I've said it before and I'll say it again: he could twist every DL main cast character around his finger if he wanted to, too bad he’s not good at reading himself.

2. Carla

Literally the Diaboy who would make the best king. Despite the fact that I can't bring myself to ship him with Yui because the couple is far too disturbing, he is a wise and great ruler. We were able to see that best in LE, he's good at plans, logical, and knowledgeable on a variety of topics that can help him get out of uncomfortable situations.

3. Shu

Shu may have many flaws, but he is undeniably intelligent. He appears apathetic, as if he doesn't care about anything, but he knows far more than you'd think. I believe he is the best candidate for king among the Sakamakis because he is open-minded and can reflect on his thought process.

4. Kino

Probably a very unpopular opinion since people don’t really seem to like Kino and yeah, he seems kind of dumb at times, but I'll give him credit for being a really good antagonist. He beat the Tsukinamis on this one; this guy is really good at devising different evil plans in order to sabotage the Diaboys, which I find really interesting.

5. Reiji, Ruki

The boys who like belittling others, despite being more on the booksmart side. They're very knowledgeable for sure, they both have a lot of information in their heads, and they're also more strategic than their brothers. In a nutshell, their intelligence is beneficial. However, because of their overconfidence, they are prone to reacting incorrectly when things do not go their way, which can lead to serious breakdowns.

6. Azusa

Azusa is most likely the character who speaks the least; he is timid and silent, but isn't it true that quiet people have the loudest minds? He pays close attention to everything that goes on around him, and I firmly believe that he is one of the best characters at seeing through people.

7. Kou

Another unpopular opinion since people like to portray Kou as a dumb guy, but that’s not the case. Sure, he doesn’t care about many things and doesn’t always pay attention to what others are saying but that’s because he simply doesn’t want to. I know Kou acts occasionally childish but he has a very mature point of view. Even if his magical eye allows him to read people’s hearts, he must be very cunning to know how to manipulate everyone based on this without coming across as obvious. Additionally, he has an unpredictable nature.

8. Ayato, Yui

Mr. “I’m impulsive and don’t care about others’ opinions” and Little Miss “I act without thinking and have to face consequences afterwards”. Not counting the fact that Yui has more morals and knows more about human stuff (since she’s human after all), they both have the same number of brain cells. Both canonically have little knowledge, they require help most of the time when doing something, and their plans are literally dead ends, BUT I can't deny they're very perceptive at times. I wrote more about Ayato here; he appears ignorant but notices important details and analyzes the behavior of those around him. The same can be said for Yui, who can also be a good observer.

9. Shin

He has more knowledge than Ayato and Yui and was quite clever in Ruki's DF route, but SORRY his LE route made him appear so stupid in my eyes. All of his problems could have been solved if he had tried to use his brain, but he didn't, which is why his route was so frustrating. Don’t get me wrong, I understand that every character has dumb moments, some more, others less, but come on... he didn’t try to logically solve his problems and only suddenly had the big realization to do so, which was IN HIS VAMPIRE ENDING. I excuse characters who make mistakes or act on a whim, but Shin crossed the line in LE. I can't imagine a Diaboy in his own route as dense as Shin was there; he kept getting himself into more and more trash, which is a shame because he would have been much higher on this list if they didn’t do him so dirty there.

10. Subaru, Yuma, Kanato

I feel bad for rating them so low because I really like Subaru and Yuma; Kanato is intriguing too, but the problem is that they almost never get the chance to prove themselves. I understand Subaru's situation because he doesn't have any deep bonds with anyone, after all, he's the only Sakamaki without a brother from the same mother, and he's also quite asocial, so it's not like he'd pay attention to anything that's not his business, but I really don't get why the others didn’t get a big chance to use their brains. Yuma is very useful though, but Kanato's case is a whole other story. I can’t deny that he’s actually sly sometimes but he was Laito's closest brother during childhood; why is Ayato the one to best analyze Laito and not him?? Ayato was literally locked away in his room all day, unlike him, who played with Laito on a daily basis… so much lost potential.

Hey Sea, I hope you're doing all right! Because of some personal family issues I haven't caught up to many things fandom & pop culture wise until now. Style's "transformation", in terms of both personality and career choices, becoming even worse after FL was predictable in my honest opinion. I think someone that empty simply does not deserve many words to describe him so I will not even bother. I must say though there is one thing that I simply cannot not help but mention and that is the Danny

2/3 Zuko Halloween makeover. I do not think Harry needs larries anymore for a sustainable career, and if he does, he has way easier techniques and less impersonal ones to do that. This one was definitely personal towards louis. Now we don’t know what really happened between them, they're just two strangers for us, at the end of the day. However it’s very clear they meant something for each other, even if just on friendly terms.

3/3 For him to what? Taunt Louis? Or make him pay attention to him? Desperate. Pathetic. Desperate! Quite creepy. Ridiculous. And yes, hilarious too. Except that I am not laughing with Harry, I am laughing at him. It gives me pleasure that Louis seems, at least from our perspective, to not give him any attention. Is that petty? Oh well! I think that Larries trying to make this into a romantic gesture, and Harries trying to play this off as just Harry dressing up as a popular musical theater character, really underestimate One Direction’s, and specifically Louis Tomlinson’s, effect on Harry Styles’ psychology.

I’m not going to pretend to understand it, either. But the fact is that whatever impact Louis had on Harry is profoundly lasting, and it drives him to do some absolutely insane things.

The curious thing is that Harry has been surrounded by grown men trying to shape him into a rock ‘n roll messiah for more than 12 years. They’ve isolated him, sheltered him from all sorts of criticism, enabled him to get massively wealthy and sell out stadiums, given him Vogue covers and Met galas and allowed him to share the stage with legends. They’ve given Harry the opportunity to meet the wealthy and famous and to have experiences he (and the rest of 1D) couldn’t possibly imagine when they were starting out.

They’ve isolated Harry from peers for years, made him live the life of a 40-year-old businessman before he even turned 30. His closest friends are people with contacts, connections, companies, power— middle-aged or old men. There are no organic friendships in sight.

It’s always about quarterly earnings reports and not trust, compassion, empathy, and really, human love. Nothing is ever done without strings attached— Harry Styles is only about strings. There aren’t any romantic relationships longer than 2 years, ones without a professional agenda.

Ok, I have seen TONS of posts about Josh Hutcherson complaining or observing that, “he didn’t do barely anything after Hunger Games! I wanted to see him in more stuff!” And with the new trailer for it, some want more Hutcherson content before the FNAF movie.

Well. I have a Hulu original (looks safe from the evil mouse merge)/yarr harr high seas (looks like at least 1337x has all 3 seasons) show recommendation for you. It’s taken up welcome space in my brain, for many good and funny reasons. I’m not a Hulu or executive producer Seth Rogan shill, this show is just surprisingly damn good.

Future Man, starring and produced by Josh Hutcherson.

Josh Hutcherson is Josh… Futturman, a janitor at a local biotech research lab which is doing work on curing all illnesses. He finishes a particular video game in his spare time, which turns out to be a scenario sent from the future to the past as a way to find someone to save humanity’s future. Future freedom fighters Tiger and Wolf, the other two main characters, time travel into his bedroom, and the story kicks off. Turns out the biotech research lab isn’t doing the good work it says it is.

Yes, there is time travel. Multiple forms of time travel are used in intelligent ways to the service of the story and the characters, not just to “be smarter than you.” Alternate timelines, doomed timeline individuals, altered main timelines, facilitated by multiple kinds of time travel devices with different capabilities. You’ve seen time cops done before, well here they are again but better and funnier. You’ve seen a time loop done before, well here it is again but with more horrifying implications.

Yes, the characters do start off fairly one-dimensional. You have a weak gamer, a strong woman, and a tough man. Then both the main characters and recurring side characters have arcs and development that make sense with their foundations and personalities, both individually and as a group. It’s consistent, they use skills they picked up in a time travel stint, plot lines that affected them come back. Same thing with the world setting. I really don't want to spoil it, it's so damn fun to see these guys pick up skills and traits.

Yes, the humor is ALSO very crude and sometimes fluid-based. A couple of the writers also worked on Sausage Party. I don’t have a lot of points here: if you’re ok with sex and nudity humor erring on the (well done!) practical effects gross-wise, go for it. If you’re not, I hope you can forgive me but this show might not be for you. However, some of these physical jokes come back for the sake of the story and character development, sometimes in surprising ways. For example, something that happens early season 1 comes back in mid season 2 to connect characters, and it's an incredibly touching payoff for how crude the setup was.

For having such crude humor, with such a tropey beginning to the story, with such basic characters, I was shocked by myself a couple episodes in: I was really invested in what these guys would do next and what would happen next. Wacky stuff happens every episode that still manages to logically follow what happened before. I know, it's the minimum for a fun show, but it was also emotionally engaging. I wanted to see these jackasses win and understand and work with each other! With the least amount of damage to themselves and the world! Their motivations change and shift and become more personal and come into conflict with the goals of others and their group! Holy shit, these are well written dynamic people who remember (or don't ;) ) things that happened to them!

Did I mention there are three complete seasons, each with its own different but logically connected arc, that it’s a finished story, and it was not cancelled midway through? Give it a shot!

Ep1 Public School Arc Spoilers Below

For some reason, I don’t like the direction of the new season so far.

It kind of threw one into the middle of the story without fleshing out Ciel and Sebastian as main characters besides the prefects? Which seems like a really strange way to begin the most interesting part of Black Butler? Their existence seems like a side note to the story itself, which is a strange way to start a season. They almost take a backseat as “faceless observers” which in a sense they are for this story arc and an understandable direction for most stories except. For Black Butler, Sebastian and Ciel are the story! You’re telling me you just made a kid detective and his demon Butler into a side note? An understatement? For?? A prep boy group???

(All you Prefects do is Pose, Eat Hot Chip and Lie.)

Who have extremely fun and interesting lines and personalities but as of current first episode opted to instead have them just stand around and pose until reciting manga lines, instead of say, whispering to each other suspiciously or gossiping, bickering over silly things or getting into trouble idly.

The fact they went chronologically as the manga was a choice too. I would have liked to see a subtle nod to the mansion, and the life Ciel is leaving behind for school. If someone was a new viewer they wouldn’t even register that this was a Faustian / mystery plotline, which I can appreciate the surprise element, however the pacing of it didn’t work.

It would have been nice if they ushered a hint here or a gesture there even without the two speaking together peppered throughout the episode to let the viewer know “yeah something is clearly up with these two”. It is a mystery, after all!

It feels strangely vacant? Empty? The pacing and movement feels a bit off. Very arthouse-y and reminiscent of Revolutionary Girl Utena, but it doesn’t seem to fit quite right. As if I was watching a trailer of the show and not the show itself.

I thought that they would add more in between of them in class, tiny in between moments between the characters interacting, even if it had no dialogue. I guess in the previous studio’s direction of the anime, it never has a dull moment, and it brought a unique sense of humor and whiplash as you try to process everything. With this season, I can sense that the direction is trying to play with the Japanese philosophy of “Ma”, (i.e. slow paced moments in studio Ghibli films). This is Great in certain scenes, like capturing Sebastian’s hair falling out of place when he bows slowly, but feels almost lagging in the rest of it.

Art style wise is great, however a little stiff. Scene direction wise, I would have liked to see Ciel stumble onto the grass when running just to gawk upwards at the school and be scolded, and not just stand there idly and then walk on the grass.

Because of the slowness of the episode, conversation scenes seem to go from one person talking to another person talking, and not really a fluid banter that Black Butler is commonly known for.

This all in itself was rather odd, to say the least. Because never, ever had Nyeli imagined seeing his Sisnya like this. He was used to seeing Mina as this cool big sister who would run from no one and nothing, ever! And yet, that one interaction had made her so weak, so red that she had grabbed Nyeli and fled from one moment to the next. Needless to say, the kitty was confused for a moment. This was very unlike her, so much so that he was about to blame a curse or any of the kind on the guy who had stayed close to her!

But he thought about it twice. Wedgy… Was it? Hmm…No, that didn’t sound right. And yet it was the only thing Nyeli could recall, let alone pronounce. So it had to do! Wedgy! Yeah, Wedgy!

However, back to the actual thought at hand – Wedgy didn’t seem like that type of person. After all, he was nice enough to look after Sisnya, to make sure she doesn’t get attacked or sick. Plus he played with Nyeli and even had some fun stories to tell. He didn’t come off to Nyeli to be the type. In fact, he seemed pretty cool. But that was just his opinion. And he promised to not hurt or do anything funny to Sisnya. He kept this promise, surely. Yeah, Nyeli can vouch for it. Otherwise Wedgy would have smelled funny or something! 

But then, what was it? The kitty had to figure that one out. Why was Mina acting so funny around Wedgy? The kitty didn’t understand… People can be complicated sometimes. It was too much for his kitty brain at the time. Sisnya always looked like she had a fever when just mentioning Wedgy’s name. She would always become red like a tomato and then run off from one moment to the next. 

Oh, and her sleeptalking got worse too. Whenever inside an inn he observed her hugging onto the pillow in the morning, grinning like an idiot and mumbling Wedgy’s first name… Which was too complicated for the kitty to pronounce at this point in time. Either way, she was also mumbling things. Lots of things, like:

“Hehe~ No escape, I captured you~”

“Eh, why that face~? Aren’t you a pervert~? I bet you want to kiss a girl at least once in your life~”

“Guh… Don’t leave~ I wanna… Cuddle… More~”

The ever so serious Sisnya Mina, even in her dreams, was giggling and rolling around with the pillow in her arms, sometimes nuzzling it with the widest grin on her face. Nyeli had never seen her like this and he found it more than odd. And he could only guess what she was dreaming about. No wait, he couldn’t. He didn’t get it. It was too complicated… At least at first glance. After all, this kitty was young at this point and still had so much to learn!

Thus he would consult the ever so wise texts he picked up during travels with Mina. Some he had found out in the wild or in bookstores. They were like picture books, just with more pages and in black and white. But they were drawn in a way he wished he could draw and sometimes he would try to imitate the styles the best he could. But more importantly, these books also have texts in them, small chunks he could tackle one at a time. if he didn’t know how to read a word he would just ask Sisnya. Actually, even while in the cave Wedgy had taught Nyeli some new words too with the help of these books! So they hold valuable lessons within them, don’t they? And if he cannot ask Sisnya he always asked one of his picture books, looking through them until he got an answer.

And the kitty had done so while scanning every single page within the books he had at nubs right now. He was turning pages and took a close look. And with some luck he could find one book which matched Sisnya’s behavior perfectly – A girl blushing and running from a boy or always having a ‘heart pounding’ when close to him? She seemed… Embarrassed? That was what her speech bubbles said at least! She had a hard time keeping her composure towards the guy and would run last second in this book.Though there were a few pages where she expressed to ‘like him a lot’. She is just afraid to face him… If Nyeli read those words correctly.

Needless to say, it was a match. A perfect match to how Sisnya acted. Was she also afraid of Wedgey? But he isn’t scary. The kitty didn’t get it at first, sitting on top of the page of the open book and crossing his nubs, sitting and thinking hard. So much so that his tail was wagging up and down constantly. Why would Sisnya be scared? It didn’t make any—

But then, right there, the cat connected the dots! His ears wagged upon the realization and his eyes widened a little. Ah, of course! The girl in the book likes the boy! So Sisnya must like Wedgy, so much so that she is afraid to mess up and thus runs from him! Yeah, that made sense! Plus she seems to dream about him too, a lot, and seemed to be happy in those dreams! She likes him, yes! Clearly!

And it’s not casual like either then, no. Mina likes Nyeli too yet doesn’t run from him nor turns red. That also goes for anyone else the two come across and like, Sisnya is fine towards them. But Wedgy… He is special! She likes him but not the usual like. No, it’s the like where you want to go kissy kissy! What was that called again? Hmm… The like where you go kissy kissy… Kissy kissy… Kissy ki–

Nye! It dawned on Nyeli then! His ears perked up once more and a light bulb may as well have appeared above his head! ‘Love’, that’s what this is called! Not how you would love family and friends, but the special type of love! Kissy Kissy Love! Yes yes! Sisnya feels Kissy Kissy Love towards Wedgy! That was the only possibility in Nyeli’s mind! That had to be it! This was obvious!

So… If Mina is having Kissy Kissy Love feelings… Then… Yeah, she can’t act upon it. She is too embarrassed, isn’t she? Alright, that settles it! Nyeli has to do his best to help here! So they can be happy together! 

Well, but before he comes up with a plan…  Maybe Nyeli should try figuring out more about Wedgy first. It might be useful. But it’s a plan! And the kitty is set on following it through!

Navëquen means he who/person who judges in Quenya

Appearance-wise, his accustomed fána is humanoid and tall (8’3’’/~2.52m) with long black hair that he pretty much always braids, dark eyes with a slight emerald hue and a pale complexion

For animal fánar, he prefers corvids, mostly ravens, crows and magpies

Navëquen is a Maia of Námo and focuses mostly on the justice side of things. He serves as a prosecutor and later Námo's personal attendant as well, taking care of him whenever he's experiencing his future visions

Unlike his lord and his counterpart Vanimóre however, Navëquen doesn't possess any future sight. Other Maiar of Mandos sometimes say he's "blind to the future"

While Vanimóre's right eye sees the future, Navëquen's left eye sees the past, in particular past evil deeds

Aside from this, he also learned spirit magic and sword fighting from Námo, including his patient, defensive and precise style

Navëquen is very intelligent and observant and has an excellent memory, even by Ainur standards

He has a strong sense of justice and does his best to achieve it via the law, though at times he gets frustrated by its shortcomings. Additionally, he doesn't like making exceptions

Navëquen mostly appears to be calm and collected, even seeming cold and aloof to others; this is due to him trying to follow Námo's example and practice neutrality

Deep down, he does have strong opinions on many things, but won't voice them unless prompted. His statements may at times come off as odd or cold because of his tendency to approach matters from the pragmatic perspective of the law, sometimes also with a hint of cynicism

Navëquen isn't very good at recognizing and expressing emotions. His coping mechanism is his journal, in which he writes down his thoughts, feelings, observations, and he likes to draw as well

It takes him a while to warm up to people, but once he does, he can be quite sweet, caring and protective and grows very attached to them. His trust is not easily earned

Vanimóre is - or was, after his fall - his closest friend and Navëquen continues to have strong feelings for him. Yes, they're essentially soulmates <3

Because of this, he agreed to go to Middle-earth and attempt to save Vanimóre when Námo asked him to, but unfortunately ended up being captured and held in Angband for a while

Navëquen also has a bit of a crush on Námo, which is one of the reasons he's very loyal to him; the other main reason being that serving his lord gives him a sense of purpose and belonging

Now for a bit of fun trivia~

Navëquen is ambidextrous, which he uses to complete several tasks at once. When he has a lot of work to do, he may temporarily grow additional arms

He likes to braid ribbons, charms and other fun accessories into his hair

Those close to him call him Navë for short. Vanimóre also likes to call him Quenquen or Creeps

Over the ages, he has already filled several journals and sketch books

As some of you may have noticed, Navëquen has a bit of a type (pretty, dark-haired men). If you are one or can at least assume such a form, you have his attention

Alright, So This character was created in cooperation with Scuzz and @lynx3000art over Discord, and she is meant to be RIDICULOUS and made for fun!

So here's a list of the absurd and inexplicable attributes that B43 has:

nick names are "thickie thermie” (you can see why she is called thickie) and “B43” (B43 is the name of a nuclear bomb).

Hybrid mutation of multiple species. Fennec Fox, Shark and a platypus, which gives her a platypus tail, gills, sharp shark teeth

a little bit reckless wacky sometimes

Has to wear special suit to be able to interact with people, or other wise they just get affected by radiation and melt

She can see trough stuff whenever they want because x-ray vision because radiation

She have a platypus tail that is edible, it’s like gummy candy but if you take a bite you'll probably die immediately because the flavor is radiation

She is a fantastic swimmer, but without her suit she will contaminate the water she is in.  

She is photogenic but any camera pointed at them will have strong noise effect due to radiation. And her friends have a fun activity where they see who gets the most amount of static in their cameras at the moment

cracking any part of her body with enough force will make it glow like a glowstick for around 30 minutes, gradually losing brightness overtime

She can focus her radiation to give other people very warm hugs that will make others glow green temporally. The person they hugged will start melting very fast if she is not wearing her suit

Her scream can sound like an air raid siren

HELIOS — BENEVOLENCE

"The solar deity, even though he was a little out of the way, plays an important role in the daily life of mortals: thanks to the god Helios, plants grow vigorously, harvests are numerous, and above all, daily life is more pleasant. It is thanks to him, and his chariot, that the world turns and regulates itself by gravitating around him. He does not hesitate to take his time and observe with a benevolent air, from the clouds of Olympus, the mortals who swarm with life."

Helios as Yuuto, it is not necessarily an obvious choice, and yet, this kid is so radiant and solar! Really, he has a smile always stuck to his face, it was almost obvious to make him embody Helios!

HESTIA — HOSPITALITY

"There is nothing more pleasant than a warm fireplace: a crackling fire in the family hearth, tenderly fanned so that every being who enters the place feels at ease. This is Hestia's role—to make everyone feel at home, no matter the moment. Mortals do not pay attention to the small details that are specific to the magic of the goddess. Her humble heart allows her to appreciate them all in the right way."

Louise in Hestia was a bit of a choice of destiny: she unfortunately doesn't have this chance to have a welcoming home of her own, and it is partly thanks to Hadrian that she will be able to create one. So it was a logical choice for her to take on this role!

HAPHAESTUS — CREATIVITY

"The gods are not spared from the flaws that one might think only mortals have: the ugliness was Hephaestus' one. He was such a filth that he had even been thrown from Olympus! What a disgrace! However, Hephaestus was not only a talentless bugger ... On the contrary. Under his hands, the clay smoothed, bent, took shape ... Thus, he who is known only for his ugliness had undoubtedly created the most beautiful thing: Pandora, the first woman, whose grace was equaled only by the talent of her creator."

The myth of Pandora, or at least her creation, fits Irene and Robyn so well! Robyn has a slight lack of self-confidence, and he loves scultpure. It is quite naturally that he took the features of Hephaestus with Irene to represent Pandora!

HEBE — UNION

"The exchange of vows and the promise of eternal love: for a goddess, whose youth is a source of inspiration for all, it is quite ironic to be the protector of the newlyweds. If in Olympus her discreet and minor place as cupbearer is quickly replaced, in the hearts and blessings of weddings her role is a major one. She then raises her cup to toast this happiness so that it will never be ephemeral."

Hebe is such a minor and little mentioned deity that I thought it fitted well with Katya's character. There is also the whole allusion to marriage: after all, Katya has been lulled by this ideal since she was very young that she would make a perfect little deity all by herself!

ERIS — STRIFE

"Chaos ... There is nothing more beautiful, nothing more inventive than total and absolute chaos. And Eris quickly understood this: a hint of jealousy here, a pinch of envy there ... And there she is, moving and creating a world where everything is cacophony and injustice. An extraordinary chaos where the seed of discord is planted in a wise way!"

Misery as Eris, honestly, it is a choice that is not even debatable: she enjoys stirring up hatred to better entertain herself. And in her work as a hitman, she loves to have fun tormenting her prey in a more creative way ...

Since we know that Minako’s patronus is a mouse and Deuce’s patronus is a chicken, what about others?

I actually drew Deuce's Patronus as a joke. Realistically, I feel like the other characters wouldn't be able to cast the Patronus charm because of the differing magic systems and how hard it is to master the spell. They're not Minako who has inherited two magic systems, but thinking about the twst boys Patronuses are fun.

Btw I'm not strictly assigning animals based on their personalities, but I'll reference them anyway as a bit of a guide

Nezumi family:

Flor—Mixed bloodhound named Pluton based on Pluto the dog

The rest of the family members (aside from Minako) don't have Patronuses/only have incorporeal Patronuses

Students:

Riddle—Hedgehog. A cute and tiny one with an attitude, sort of like his tsum in the tsum tsum event.

Ace—Fox. A pretty common Patronus, but they're cunning and ambitious.

Trey—Brown Hare. According to @/the-patronus-librarian, people with this Patronus can handle themselves very well when pushed to the breaking point. "With their quick wit and knowledge they can hold their own in a duel, however, they prefer avoiding conflict rather than running straight into it." Although, I wouldn't say he's shy or reserved.

Cater—White rabbit. This is influenced by the amount of Cater fanart having white rabbit ears

Leona—Lion. Need I say more?

Epel—Squirrel. Listen, listen, listen, squirrels look cute, but they're vicious. But if it makes him feel he could have a brown bear as a Patronus. Fierce, can fend off wolves, and cute in some angles.

Idia—Brown owl. Known as omens of death, and can actually attract Dementors because of this. However, this makes them good Dementor hunters (reminds me of how he hunted down the overblot boys in chapter 6)

Ortho—Fox terrier. "This is a small yet fearless dog that loves being outside and around people." —Mugglenet

Malleus—Dragon, obvi. A rare and powerful Patronus, fitting for a future dark fae king.

critical role meta: campaign 3, 2, 1 analysis

now, this isn't exactly a c3e28 meta as much of it was the exandrian equivalent of podracing (which was so much fun, despite the doubts i had with watching a billion rounds of combat).

but i have been doing some reading on reddit (dangerous, i know) and seen some discussions over the pacing of campaign 3 and the amount of roleplay that's been going on....

and i had some thoughts to share- as someone whose experience with the cr campaigns goes from the most knowledge of campaign 3, then campaign 1, and campaign 2.

(and let me say that ALL of this is just me keyboard smashing my thoughts and i respect all opinions people have on this- i love seeing people get passionate about different aspects of c2 and the other campaigns!)

campaign 1: where it all started

for me, campaign 1 was the first critical role content i ever watched. i was in high school then (so six-ish years ago) and i don't think very much of campaign 2 was airing at that point.

how did i get into critical role, do you ask? blindspot and ashley johnson.

however, the intrigue with her as an actress and her d&d references quickly became a love of campaign 1. i never watched the entire campaign, every single episode, because that is a LOT. however, the more i started to love each character, the more i knew. i started with deep-diving into pike, then vex, and then by extension i grew to love every character in the campaign (except tiberius).

i think that your first critical role campaign will always hold a special place in your heart, which is why c1 will always be higher than c2 for me.

and the magic of c1, to me, is in the homey vibe to it all. the humble start with scuffed mics and pizza in the middle of the game, to ashley being greeted with such joy when she comes in, to seeing their growth as actors. i think it's a beautiful tribute to the group's friendship, and ultimately their friendship is what makes the campaign so special.

and also - i like that it doesn't feel staged, or stilted, and it's just them flying by the seat of their pants as they grew more and more. there's such a raw joy to campaign 1 that i just love.

campaign 2:

this might be controversial- but i had a hard time falling in love with campaign 2. now, the better production will always be a plus, but some of the characters i just had a really, really hard time connecting with.

and that's to no fault of the actors themselves- they all made such interesting, deep characters.

but critical role is first an foremost a source of entertainment, and it just felt so heavy for something that i generally use to escape from responsibility. hard to digest (but worth it, i do recognize!)

and it felt that they weren't playing as themselves (except for laura's jester, though i may be biased). if campaign 1 gave of homey, comfort, family vibes, campaign 2 always gave off "masterclass in d&d and voice acting" vibes, which is impressive and detailed and wonderful.

and i understand wanting to push yourself forward! it makes sense, that you would want to go bold and depart from the iconic character you built from campaign 1. there are beautiful character moments and story elements in campaign 2 that i am very aware of and love, but it just didn't click with me in the overall scheme of things.

now: campaign 3

let me warn you: campaign 3 is the first campaign i have watched as it airs. so i may be biased in my loyalty to this campaign, as all the other campaigns i was a little too late to catch up to the live episodes.

but here are a few observations on that front.

one: my least favorite thing about campaign 3 might be how staged certain things feel (the advertisement portion, especially, i feel like is starting to lose that off-the-cuff vibe that sam used to have, which is what i always loved about his ads)

two: combat has never been my personal favorite part of the show. in fights that matter story-wise, i find it easier to enjoy them, but when it's a random run-of-the-mill encounter, i am invested less in watching everyone try and figure out their turns for an hour.

so that's why i personally love the amount of RP in campaign 3. i love the story building and the character building. i feel like i'm getting to know the characters and more importantly, watch them start to care about each other.

and perhaps that's the magic of campaign 3. to me, it re-captures that essence that campaign 1 had, of watching a group of friends unite together and grow alongside each other, into something more.

thought yes, if you're a big combat fan it can get a little slow pacing-wise (even sometimes i agree that not everyone needs to have intimate conversations every evening), i love the love that the characters already have for each other.

do they need to balance the rp and combat better? yes, i would agree. but i don't think the rp is a weakness of the campaign. i think building that background of support is so, so important, especially with this group, because ultimately i do think a lot of them could be seen as potential departures from the party if you just look at their backstories.

for example, orym: when he finds the assassins, he could return to the ashari and consider his mission complete. seeing his ties to everyone else, though, i don't think he will. he cares so much about them, now.

and fcg: in reuniting with dancer, in one world, he would go with her without question. but now, i think they've started to question what being an automaton means, when they have people who care about them and stick up for them and encourage them to find their humanity.

and imogen: everyone has said that homegirl has a corruption arc just waiting to happen, and i agree, i do think she's one incident away from losing her shit entirely and going feral. but i also don't see her turning her back on her friends- the only people, really, who have embraced her in the way that they have.

i could go on and on- fearne leaving with her parents without question, chetney going rogue (hehe), ashton joining the paragon's call and never looking back, laudna going full-delilah puppet, etc.

but these character moments they've had with everyone else has tied them together. and i love watching those bonds grow. there's a purity and an almost innocence? in how they care about each other and look out for each other, that is just so comforting to watch.

This is Wade! Here's his brief synopsis from this post. "The big blue and yellow fellow is Wade. He’s the muscle of the team, however, he’s no lunk. He’s very intelligent and resourceful, especially concerning financials. He was raised in an upper-class foster family, and he learned a lot about making deals and compromises. He uses that to aid the team in dealing with threats."

When Wade was a child, his parents were eliminated in a malware attack. He spent most of his time wandering around on the streets. One day, he met a nicely-dressed young man who made fun of Wade for his hilarious non-money-having appearance. Wade proceeded to scoop up a ball of mud and hurl it at the nicely-dressed young man, who proceeded to cry loudly. When the young man's parents came by, they saw the situation, and after getting to know Wade, and after coming to learn that he was an orphan, proceeded to adopt him.

It took a lot of adjusting for Wade to go from a street-wandering orphan to an upper-class child with a family and responsibilities, but after a couple years, and some blonde hair dye, Wade began to fit in with this new family. They taught him a lot about handling businesses and financials, and before long, Wade had started his own business. "Wade Wright's Wadeworks™" Wadeworks provides simple odd-job opportunities for Wade, who is ready to do anything from walking dogs or painting fences to demolishing buildings or fixing cars.

Wade is very strong due to working really hard for most of his life. However, despite being the group's muscle, Wade is very level-headed, and prefers not to directly attack foes unless necessary. Wade prefers to persuade, intimidate, or compromise with attackers, so as to avoid superfluous damages, collateral or otherwise, as well as to maintain rational behavior in the enemy.

Personality-wise, Wade is calm, collected, and makes decisions very carefully, but not in an uptight way. Wade is a very casual person. Because of this, Wade doesn't generally dress up nice, even in professional settings, opting instead for baggy, comfortable clothes. Everyone can already tell by the way he behaves that he's a capable person, so nobody in those settings tends to be perturbed or annoyed by it, unless they're really shallow. (Wade also uses his clothing choice as a way to observe people's mindsets when dealing with him. If they're put off by a superficial feature like that, he may be dealing with someone shallow, or someone who cares more about appearances than practicality.)

Wade joined the Valiance in its early stages, when it was just Willow and Tulip. They came to rescue him when he was being attacked by a malware, but before they could rescue him, they saw him carefully conversing with the malware, de-escalating the situation, before swiftly detaining the previously-lulled malware. The Valiance admired his skills, and asked if he wanted to join their group. He realized that these kids had potential, but were gonna get themselves killed fighting malware alone, so he decided to help them out, quickly becoming friends with them. After joining the Valiance, his old job became a part-time endeavor.

Wade's main character flaw is that he's a little too level-headed, and hardly ever lets his emotions impact his decisions. Because of this, he tends to be rather emotionally detached, which can lead to the group getting upset with him. When things get tense, or people get really hurt, his emotions can come through, and at heart, he's a good guy, he just doesn't like to let emotions impact his decisions, because it can lead to making some rough mistakes in the heat of the moment.

Wade doesn't have a very good relationship with his brother. After being adopted, Wade took to the family business really well, but Wade's brother, Harvell was a lot worse. Harvell didn't care for the responsibilities of dealing with business, and was more caught up in frivolous endeavors, becoming somewhat of a playboy, buying fancy nothings and throwing big parties. Over time, Harvell began to resent the way that his parents treated Wade better than him, not realizing that it was his due to his own reckless behavior. His parents' disapproval of his behavior caused him to become even more irresponsible, until eventually he was cut off from the family budget, and told to go pave his own life. Wade doesn't know where Harvell is anymore, but he's out there somewhere.

callen is vinnie from the deathcap. vinnie is a fungus masquerading as a person but is somehow actually rlly normal about it. like he died as a kid and came back as a fungus and was like oh ok chill. his main personality trait is how calm he is abt everything and he doesn’t believe in ghosts despite literally being a reanimated corpse. best person to walk in a haunted house with <3

insom is arden also from the deathcap who is a kid with a podcast who rlly rlly rlly likes paranormal things. they’re fun and groovy! i don’t associate their whole storyline w insom but im rlly rlly proud of it so im going to tell u— they basically get consumed by their own desire to be understood and taken seriously in the paranormal field that they go too far and die and become a fungus person themself but they’re actively revolted by it and it’s just a very very fun dichotomy to play with. i love their character they’re so full of contradiction and stuff. and they wear cool sunglasses so win. i can also see insom as angler from fathom who is my poorest little meow meow. he’s mute and he lives on a submarine with his father figure and some other ppl. he’s observant and he likes cereal specifically plain cheerios. i love him so much.

i tried very hard to think of a character that fits sy and i can’t. maybe laika (eocena). laika is a cat person thing (they have a tail and pointy ears and more hair) and they work at their moms coffee shop and are constantly creating. they draw and paint and sculpt…. basically if it’s an art form they’ve gotten their paws on it and have made it into something beautiful. they’re a big dreamer! sy however also has a character that’s basically an insert in eocena but they play the small role of an adventurer the main gang meets named fran :-) fran and bee were characters they n i made up a while back and i love them too much to not include them in my novel so!!

and ofc for myself id have to go with finch (eocena). i project onto all of my characters but with him i do it the most i think. hes lost all his memories and now has to navigate thru this world with some crippling anxiety and a trauma he can’t put a name to. his whole plotline of growth and coming into his own and learning to heal through the people around him is very based around and inspired by my own healing process!! srsly his whole story is just a thinly veiled metaphor for my own trauma LMAO. finch falls in love with everyone he meets and enjoys being outside and flowers and his friends his friends his friends (laika and jezero!). he is so special to me <3

I actually have quite a list of muses that I wanted to play since it almost feels like not a lot of people are in the Naruto fandom and this simple Kabuto blog is just hanging on. And it's getting harder to find rp partners that are active or not problematic. Or someone you had a bad history with in the past. But for me, believe it or not, I became a Kabuto blog because there wasn't any around in the past and I wanted to step in to fill that gap of wanted characters. So this question is pretty much a personal wishlist that I one day might do if I ever get the motivation or time for it.

No. 1 Danzo Shimura

Need me to say anything more other than that there's absolutely no Danzo rpers around anymore and how I know sooooo many people would just LOVE to have one to rp the angst and the drama with. But I never really have the confidence to rp such a complicated character and the rather HUGE expectations and high amounts of time and research of rping them well. I also would LOVE to explore the whole ROOT activities and the rp scenarios too.

No. 2 Kisame Hoshigaki

Kisame has always been a favorite character of mine and their personality and deep backstory is so amazingly well done that I once wanted to rp the character and add in all of the hilarious dark humour jokes and his casual friendliness towards his enemies. But again, it's my lack of confidence of rping them right, and I'm more worried about rping him ship wise since I really have no idea what he would be into and tbh I still personally see the kisaita ship as one of friendly kind.

3. Orochimaru

Ah Orochimaru. Such a fandom menace that just the mention of their name would evoke several reactions in all kinds of people and the type of reactions speak volumes on the people who like/dislike them! I have been thinking of rping them as a way to help me cope with being hurt by an Orochimaru at some point in my life and for me to become said character in my own version would perhaps help me cope with that. But one major issue is that I will have to admit that being aware of Orochimaru's non-binary status, I often make several if not too many mistakes of mispronouncing or forgetting to add the pronouns and despite that I have improved and am getting used to saying They/them, I do however make mistakes every now and then. (right now, I'm literally having to reread this entire section to avoid saying "he/him" to avoid upsetting anyone. O_o) Another thing is that since I'm a straight woman with she/her pronouns, I'm not sure... if I would be able to fully understand Orochimaru's character well enough to rp them correctly. And I'm also one of the very few who is not down with calling Orochimaru a "queen" when they're really just... "parent" and an awesome scientist. But hey, they're doing an amazing job being an impressive single parent too!

On the other hand, I would LOVE to understand and roleplay out their way of thinking and the madness behind their choices and to explore their god plex would be so fun to do! And of course the parenting of Mitsuki would be fun too! ;_;

No. 4 Obito Uchiha/Tobi

XD Why else since he's also like third of my favorite characters and in other chat rooms, I have rped the character and it is hilarious to rp Tobi messing around with people so much! But I know full well that there's so much more to the character and seeing other Obito rpers rp them so amazingly, I rather am content with just watching and reading the replies than doing it myself. XD

No. 5 One of the many characters from the Final Fantasy 7 game

Not gonna lie, my main reason for my silence is because I have been getting into the game and observing the rpers who rp the characters and they're all so interesting that I lowkey wish that I could join in with the interaction. But at the same time, I've only been a fan after playing the remake and then playing the old 1997 game to fully understand the game and the story so I'm pretty much "not a real fan" if that's all I have done but it is an interest that I would like to rp with the folks there for the hell of it. I'm just... being an anon in the meantime. It's a shame that I never had the PS1 as a kid to really give this game the love it deserves.
