As the baby of the family, Damian gets Antonio’s animal speaking powers and absolutely is living his best life

Skipping Duke since he has his own powers already, we have Tim as Mirabel and Steph as Camilo. As tempting as it would be to switch them, I think there’s great angst potential in Steph never being sure if Bruce actually values her or just finds her powers useful.

Also angst in Tim being the only one without powers having to work to prove himself and Bruce being terrified as Jason has Luisa’s strength and was still struck down.

Outside of that Jason’s power doesn’t change that much, neither does Dick with Isabela’s powers, just now uses vines to swing around. Cass is a bit weird because she’d have Delores’ power, so now you have a girl who hears everything but can’t understand it. I mean it’d be helpful in the field, but I imagine it would get overstimulating quickly, especially trying to focus on one conversation while she’s just starting to learn English.

Finally we have Alfred, Barbara, and Bruce. I picked a random triplet for each since they’re the oldest, so Alfred gets magic healing cooking, obvs, Babs gets Bruno’s powers to match her Oracle branding (we’re not gonna talk about how this affects the killing joke or how Bruno made prophecies for others but never for himself ok?), and Bruce gets Pepa’s powers.

I mean like in a meta way Gotham was literally made to reflect Bruce's mental state, but what if that was true in universe? What if it's rained everyday since that night in the alley? What if you're trying to fix a city and you can't even fix your own brain? What if you're just making it worse? Worse weather, worse conditions, worse things you're willing to do to get out.

What if you're Batman, with an unreadable face, yet your emotion can be read on a thermometer?

What if you can't feel it in the Watchtower, but the weather warms up when you tell that old Bat a joke? What if the skies clear up when he knows you're flying to him?

What if you're Dick Grayson who can make the sunshine with your smiles? What if you're used to getting rained on when you try to talk?

What if you're Jason Todd, and the rainbow you once made only come out in the reflection on the hailstones he drops every time they mention your name? What if you once wanted nothing but thunder clouds, but now you want lightening to strike at everything but you?

What if you're Tim Drake, holding back a hurricane? Stephanie, reasoning with fog? Alfred, who's given up trying to change him, just grateful when it drizzles instead of snows?

What if you've mastered control as best you could and it's still not enough? What if you're trying to be some sunny playboy when all you want is to be a kid again? Could you keep it from pouring down on everything you love? Could you stop your rain from eroding everyone down?

Question about the bear:

Why does Henry seem to have better relationships with children than any other kind of person. With how children are well known to be easily irritable to some and their lack of impulse control, you'd think that Henry would be irritated by them.

It's all about intention! With Henry it's a lot easier to give kids the benifit of the doubt becuase he presumes a baseline level of innocence and naivete. In his experience if a kid is acting out it's usually not the kid's fault and he can try and help them with whatevers wrong.

There's also the simple fact he has a lot of power over children as an adult they respect and trust. They listen to him when he's in costume cus they LOVE Fredbear and when he's not he's an adult in a suit which means he has authority.

They generally do what they tell them to and when they don't he views it as a problem to be fixed rather than something to get mad about.

Namey’s newest release is a heart-wrenching story about weathering life’s storm.

“A British Girl’s Guide to Hurricanes and Heartbreak” follows Flora Maxwell who, after losing her mother to a long illness, decides to escape to Miami without telling anyone—including her longtime friend Gordon Wallace. But Flora’s change of scenery doesn’t cast away her self-doubt or her stormy emotions. Instead, it leaves her caught between teen influencer Baz Marín and Gordon, a future architect and the friend she has beginning to see in a new light.

One of my favorite aspects of this book is the extended metaphor Namey creates surrounding Flora and her personality. In the beginning, she likens Flora to a chaotic hurricane destroying everything in her path before it can get close enough to hurt her. Over time, Flora realizes the extent of the damage her behavior has inflicted on her friends and family and makes a commitment to weather life’s storms with those she loves instead of trying to do it alone. Watching Flora develop as a character in coming to this conclusion mends the soul.

Much like Flora’s, my emotions were all over the place reading this book. I laughed, I cried, and I swooned—all because I felt so attached to Namey’s characters and the world she created. Flora as a protagonist is complex and compelling. She goes on a journey of self-discovery as she comes to terms with her grief. Her pain felt so real and something I could empathize with and even relate to. Seeing her raw emotions on display and get to a place of healing filled me with hope and validation. Seeing her fall in love and gain the courage to act on her feelings tugged on my heartstrings and shed tears of joy.

Because Flora is immersed in Cuban culture while she is staying in Miami, so are we as readers. Spanish is seamlessly woven into much of the dialogue and Cuban cuisine is described at great length. I loved learning more about the customs and traditions of a region of the world I am not as familiar with and seeing its impact on Flora as she comes into her own!

1: Which type of dragon is critically endangered?: Pretty much every species. Humans don't like dragons much. Some species are literally extinct.

2: What’s the dynamic between Edward and James?: Hm, I guess Uncle/Nephew kinda? Co-workers?? Clan mates??? I've never really been able to place their type of relationship. So it's kinda weird.🤔 They seem, friendly toward each other. At least in the newer episodes. I don't know really. Sorry.😅 Definitely gonna have to work on that one.

3: What’s Thomas’ backstory?: SAD STORY INCOMING! In the early days, when Henry, Gordon, and Edward had just become the new guardians of Gold Stone, they went out on missions to find and retrieve fleeing dragon trying to escape from humans. Thomas's mother was one of these.

Thomas's mother was running away from humans, trying to carry her newly hatched cub to safety. A hunting party was close on her tail and had already injured her wing. In a desperate attempt to escape, she leapt off a cliff into the ocean, and swam all the way to an island near Sodor. That's were Edward found her. Unfortunately, by the time he made it, the poor dragon had already succumbed to her injuries on the shore and was dead. But, underneath her wing, curled up and afraid, was a little dragon cub. It was Thomas. Edward was heartbroken her couldn't rescue the mother. But as a way of making it up to her, he adopted Thomas as his own.

This story is subject to change, but this is what I have so far.

4: What’s the most common cause of death to the dragons?: Humans. :( MORE Sad Stuff incoming! You have been warned! The situation between humans and dragons is weird. While they were always hunted, they are less known about now and less threatened. Dragon legends were more easily believed in the old days. And while humans sometimes take them down by mistaking for space craft or enemy planes, the dragons usually aren't found and simply succumb to their injuries far away from humans. Because even when dying, no one can allow what happened during the dragon hunting crusades. Not again...

5: Is there any dragons that can fly into space?: I actually talked about a dragon species that can here! But they are more or less supernatural entities that may or may not be real. In that case, no mortal dragon can fly in space. Because even if they're magic, they still need air to breath. Lol.

6: What type of dragon is Edward?: The working title for his species is a Lunar Moth Knucker. If you don't know what a knucker is, here's a handy chart of dragon types! You'll see it towards the bottom.

A few interesting things about his species is 1) they are said to be direct descendants of Lady, 2) their unusual deer like antlers help channel magic and manifest it in glowing swirls on the prongs or a small orb in-between them, and 3) their wings sport a eye-like pattern that can reflect light and is used for frightening off enemies. It's similar to the wings of a Lunar Moth, their namesake.

7: Are Frankie and Hurricane redeemable?: Absolutely! They'll get a redemption arc for sure!

8: Who will most likely annoy others with dumb jokes or puns?: Most likely? Thomas for sure. And he would do it annoy James and Gordon. And so would Bill and Ben. To annoy everyone.😂

9: I know it’s weird but what zodiac sign do you see in James?: I had to look up Zodiac signs for this, because I knew nothing about it. I still don't quite understand everything, but I'm going to say Capricorn? I don't know. Lol.

10: How do dragons age?: This one is complicated to answer, because I have yet to find a way that works well with the story. I have established though that Dragon can live up to hundreds of years old. And possibly age much slower than humans. I'll have to figure out a more definitive answer, but for now that's what I got.
